There was no street light going to the hotel in the evening too dangerous for taxi driver and customers. Hotel to old bathroom and shower there was mold , not enough hot water water, pressure toi weak . Way to loud music , , the carpet in the room to old , smelly, the bathroom and room has a disgusting drainage smell . Not coming back to this hotel . Not recommended to anyone looking for a relax , peace , quiet , and clean hotel to get away for vacation.

Absolutely not worth the price tag. Disgusting experience to be honest. I must say staff has nothing to do with it. It’s the hotel itself. We booked a classic lake view room which costed extra. Turns out it’s not in the main building like we would expect (this was not disclosed at a time of the booking). Room is dated. Small. Far from being the cleanest. Soundproofing- Zero!!! I mean zero. I hear people taking in the next room as I write this. Doors are slamming. It’s crazy. Impossible to sleep. Now the best part. I asked at the reception - “Where is the control for heat in the room” (as it’s 13 degrees Celsius tonight and it’s pretty cold in a room). The answer I got was - “our hotel doesn’t have AC and Heat” only fans are in the rooms. If you are cold- close the windows” I said- “I already have. And it’s cold. Can you give me a heater” I was answered- “NO. We can give you the second blanket”. This left me speechless. This should not exist. Not a a price they charge. This should be advertised with big red lettering. Absence of climate control in a hotel is absolutely unforgivable…. Close windows and get a second blanket… really? Never never again will I stay at any hotel of this brand. Not in this one for sure. And I wouldn’t recommend staying here of course to anyone.
I continue having the worst experience with noises from all around this little building they call villa (where this room is located). It’ll be a long night for sure…

The property needs to update the inside. Screen windows were falling apart, the wood floor came off. We asked for a knife, and was told to make a deposit. I thought that was the most silly thing ever. I would never came back to this property nor recommend anyone.

A total disappointment

Certain facilities were closed due to covid but gym and childrens playroom were deemed okay. No mention whatsoever when booking since it is not mandated by the authority. Throwing a company party on the other hand seems okay with the hotel with no social distancing whatsoever being enforced. It makes you wonder who came up with such contradicting policy. The only restaurant serving dinner was drown by karaoke nutjobs from the party that made dining absolutely unbearable. Imagine my surprise as I was expecting a quiet retreat by the lake. On top of that, safety box in room that cant be locked, mosquitoes nets were torn and the toilet smelled like mould. Room service was stated 24 hrs but guess what, kitchen was closed past midnight. In all, one of the worst 4 star hotel I stayed.

리조트인 만큼 도심에서 차로 이십분정도 산속으로 들어가야함. 호텔<->도심 왕복 무료 셔틀이 하루 네번 정도 있음. 방은 깔끔한데 에어컨이 없고 선풍기가 있었음. 달랏이 한국관광객이 별로 없어서인지 식당에 한식이 없음. 그리고 방간 방음이 잘 안됨. 리조트를 원하는 게 아니라면 도심에 위치한 호텔이 더 낳아보임.

Dining staff do not understand or speak English. They bought the starters and main course out at the same time. Could not tell my Vietnamese partner what came with the steak. They said nothing, I ordered sides, but steak arrived with mash and veggies. So wasted money there.

Front desk unwelcoming. This is clearly an upmarket resort for Vietnamese families only. I was the only Westerner and got quite fed up with constant stares of disapproval.

The grounds and rooms are wonderful, but plenty of similar nearby hotels for non Vietnamese visitors.

The setting of the resort is on a lake which gives a peaceful & relaxing setting. Two things of note: you are about 4 miles from town. They do provide shuttle service 3 times a day to town. We booked what we thought was a 2 bedroom villa on the lake as we were 2 couples traveling. When we got to our villa (which was wonderful) it turns out we were in 2 ensuite bedrooms downstairs with complete strangers in the upstairs bedroom. You are to share the livingroom, dining room & kitchen. We immediately phoned the desk ... not their fault, it is fault of booking company. Next day their was a different couple upstairs ... neither couple was aware either they would be sharing. The resort has made no effort to check or correct booking services ... and they seem to have no interest in doing so. Overall the resort is very relaxing ... just be sure to check where they put you. The villas are only 3, 4 or 5 bedroom!!

Terracotta is actually 4kms outside Da Lat. It is clearly a hotel for middle class Vietnamese. Foreigners are rare here and English is not spoken widely. No outdoor pool and seating at all, indoor pool in the spa only. They wanted to charge for use of the steam room, which we thought was a little odd. The staff were reluctant to deliver any advice or colour regarding local attractions - any vaguely complex requests were met with a shrug and a smile. All a distinctly communist feel about the place, in stark contrast to everywhere else we travelled to in Vietnam.

This was my second visit to this property because of its beauty, setting on a lake out of town it’s a perfect tranquil location to relax. They have rooms, shared villas and private villias. On this stay I was in a shared villa, I think 6 units right on the lake. Absolutely beautiful.

The only downside of this beautiful location is the location outside of town. If you don’t have a car or motorcycle you will need to use grab, taxi or the scheduled shuttle service.

portable frigs are not working. Staff insisted it's at cool set but more like room temperature inside the frig. We have to send our food to the restaurant's frig.
Not a complete king bed but two double mattresses put together. Not pleasant to sleep in the middle for there's always a split or crack when two mattresses align.

The hotel overlooks the beautiful Tuyem Lake. Waking up to clean fresh air and walking amongst the vast pine trees and beautiful flowers all around the hotel compound feels like paradise. The hotel location is very good and peaceful and getting to town is by using the hotel shuttle or taxi which is very cheap. There are lots of good restaurants in the town centre and the street food is simply awesome and cheap.
Staffs of the hotel are friendly and helpful, special thanks to Ms. Linh and Ms Thao. The room are spacious, no airconditioning only a stand fan is provided which at certain hour is a bit warm (though not unbearable). WiFi is very good. Breakfast spread is fairly substantial. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Amazing. loved this hotel which overlooks the beautiful Tuyem lake. Waking up to fresh clean air , watching the sunrise and walking amongst the vast tall pine trees and surrounded by different varieties of flower blooms it sure feels like paradise. The location is so peaceful and is not far from the town. Even if you don't use the hotel's shuttle service taxis are readily available and cheap. The town has a lot of good eateries and the street food is simply awesome and cheap.
Check in and out was a breeze. Staff are helpful, special thanks to Ms. Linh and Ms. Thao. Breakfast spread is good. The room is spacious, bed comfortable and they provide a standing fan. Maybe we are so use to air conditioning that at certain time we do feel a bit hot (not unbearable though). Overall we are very happy with our stay

Great Place to Stay Except for the Neighbors

The hotel is about 15 minute cab ride outside of Da Lat city which is exactly what we wanted as Da Lat city itself is just like any other city here in VN. The grounds of the hotel are very clean and well kept. It was especially nice to be able to walk around the grounds by the like without having tons of people around or worrying about being hit by a vehicle. That being said, it is still very convenient to get into and out of the city as there are cabs both at the hotel and in the city. One caveat is that the hotel also provides a free shuttle service but the schedule is very limited and the driver drops you off at a gas station which is pretty inconvenient and scammy looking - not sure why they don't make the drop off point the Da Lat Market.

My only two complaints of this place was that the neighbors to the hotel burn their waste which creates clouds of smoke that wafers into the hotel - and it happens almost throughout the entire place both in morning and afternoon. It's really disappointing as Da Lat would be a great nature tourist attraction with its clean air and water but because of all the burning it really degrades the places. The other complaint is they keep your passports. I do not understand why they don't just charge a security deposit like any other hotel but instead keep your passport as security.

Also you can skip booking the river view rooms as you barely get a view of river due to the trees and poor placement of the windows.

Obviously, the scenery is beautiful, rooms are quite modern and clean, but there is so much more to improve in service and F&B, they are miles away from being a 4 star. It all goes down to training the staff, manners, etiquette. There is a big discrepancy between the rooms and hote design, which is amazing, and the device rendered.
No one says goodbye and thank you for staying with us, we carried out our own trolley full of luggages while other 4 staff were visibly around us. Training, training, training.
No staff says hello to you when they pass by, they forgot to register us on a shuttle bus, there are many other glitches.
As others mentioned it before, food quality is low.

Vast difference in no of guests on busy weekends

Difference in guest numbers seems vast when comparing weekends with weekdays. The crowd is most obvious during breakfast hours.

However, due to the huge size of the property, you can always find quiet corners away from the crowd.

The environment is fabulous. If you love nature, you're going to enjoy the walks beside the tranquill lake.

The resort is still relatively new and I think it is a value-for-money choice. Superior rooms are adequate unless you need a huge amount of room space. I Love it!

I loved this hotel. I had a delux room with lake views. The room was huge and very comfortable. It is so serene and beautiful in the forest. The staff are very polite and helpful and the food is delicious! It is a bit out of town and they offer a free shuttle, but only 3 times a day and not very convenient times. There are however always taxis waiting outside so it is easy to come and go. The spa offers really good treatments at a reasonable price. If you want a relaxing break you should come here for a couple of days.

Beautiful location on the lake a VDN100-120k taxi ride from central Da Lat. Massive concrete structures with no sound proofing. Plenty of noisy tourist groups. Swimming pool tiny. Breakfast was ok in a massive canteen. Front office not helpful - unlike other hotels we stayed at. Avoid.

Wonderfully relaxing

The first thing I experienced was the silence and the calming, relaxing natural environment. The buildings are located in well landscaped grounds with mature trees at the edge of the lake. There are paved walkways and there are buggies to transport people around. There are also free shuttle buses to and from Dalat City everyday. The staff are helpful, effective and respond to issues immediately. There are bikes for hire, a gym, pool, etc. I had a most enjoyable and de- stressing time there after two weeks in the urban areas of Vietnam.

Great Stay at Terracotta Hotel.

I absolutely loved my 4-day stay at the Terracotta Hotel. The grounds are just lovely and very well maintained. Walking around the lake is really great and the ornaments in the garden are quirky and give a nice touch. The food is first class and reasonably priced and the rooms are spotless. I have to return to this enchanted place before I leave Vietnam.

We needed to cancel our reservation because of sick child so we couldn't travel to da lat. We called them to cancel they said to call expedia and we did. expedia called them to request refund the hotel said no refund and kept our money. I had another reservation in ben tre and the hotel there gave us no trouble about cancelling and refunding us. terracotta will not talk to you then when hotels.com calls them they just use policy to keep the money. if I make it to the city next time I will pick different hotel.

Read reviews with caution

After reading the reviews left for terracotta we were sceptical of how our stay would be. After we arrived we were welcomed with as much enthusiasm as should be given. They showed us to our room. We felt so excited, everything was so beautiful and clean ( no mould, I looked EVERYWHERE and was almost disappointed that I couldn't find it ) if there is anything that is accurate in the comments below it is that the dinner menu is not extensive, check out the amazing food in Dalat instead. They breakfast buffet however is fantastic and people do not run around like animals as otherwise stated below.
The grounds of the resort are amazing. The lake is breathtaking and the cute random sculptures Made us laugh ha ha. We hired motor bikes for around $11 Aus dollars 250 d, but if motorbikes arnt for you then a taxi is around 100k. Beautiful waterfall close by with lots of activities such as tobogganing.
Dalat is a beautiful city with lots of amazing food but the country side and mountains are just as interesting to explore.
The terracotta staff may not be fluent in English but they knew enough to get by and tried their hardest to understand. We think that the resort is worth the four stars it is given and also that foreign tourists would love their stay here as long as they don't expect to be treated like royalty, if that's what your after go to the four seasons ( or the equivalent of) and hire yourself a butler.

Misleading Posting

We picked this hotel for a quick getaway, loved the surrounding neighborhood of Tuyen Lam Lake and the design of our room as well as the resort in general. However, we wouldn't stay here again for a couple of reasons:

- The information provided by hotel management here is very very misleading. We booked a \"deluxe double room\" and was promised lake view. Upon check-in, guy at front desk told us only villas would have lake views. Once we pulled up the posting on Hotels.com, he then told us there would be \"some\" view. Nope, nada, no lake view whatsoever. In fact, you wouldn't know you're next to a lake looking out from this room. We felt cheated as lake view was the main deciding factor for us. Furthermore, we received neither an apology from staff or management nor any offer to correct their mistake.

- They could use better staff. Fully aware that the hotel was a little far away from city center, we checked with front desk to make sure a taxi would be ready for us for our early morning flight and was told taxis would be available. We ended up waiting for 30 minutes for our taxi!

- Room service menu was very limited, somewhere around 6-7 choices for food and only 2 types of wine. Considering that the hotel is located in a remote area and there isn't really anywhere to grab food around, they should really rethink the menu.

Nice, quiet hotel near a lake

Quiet hotel, relatively clean & new, near a beautiful lake & surroundings. Great hotel for the price which included breakfast. Rooms were new & clean & nicely done up. Breakfast was ok, large variety but substandard food. Enjoyed our stay apart from the fact that this area is far from the town area & there is nothing to do at night.

Worth a Stay for Stunning Lake Views

Hotel grounds are gorgeous. Private villas looked amazing but we did not see inside. Stayed in the hotel rooms and they were decent but not great. Bedside Lights were so dim that you cannot read in bed at all. There is no air conditioning although they do provide fans. Mini bar selections are abysmal. Food in the restaurant is good and amazingly inexpensive. It's about a 15 min drive to downtown Dalat so we did eat breakfast and a few dinners at the hotel. English speaking capabilities fairly limited with the staff.

Not Fit for Non-Domestic Consumption

Overall, Terracotta is not ready for guests outside of Vietnamese conference guests hosted by the hotel each Thursday-Sunday. They smoke in the non-smoking rooms, scream on microphones around 6am each day with accompanying loud music & generally disregard all hotel rules & etiquette.

Hotel staff doesn't understand or speak English well (with the exception of Vi). Service, therefore, is horrible if you are trying to get the 4* hotel to live up to its rating in everything from arranging the shuttle to swimming in a clean pool to ordering even simple things from the restaurant.

Things were often miscommunicated in the restaurant from orders to breakfast hours. Nearly daily, the Kitchen staff would crowded around the kitchen doors, watching us eat (literally) & then started dismantling the buffet before it was supposed to end. It was uncomfortable.

There was only one other non domestic couple that stayed during our weeklong stay. They concurred that the service was horrible. They were going to upgrade to a villa and were shown one that had mold-filled walls.

The pool is absolutely filthy with chunks of matter floating in the pool. We asked to have the filter turned on, but they said the filter didn't work.

The property itself is situated in a beautiful area, but they have speakers throughout the property that blast elevator music that drowns out the sounds of nature. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this will unfortunately not fit the bill.

부모님, 아이와 함께 갔다가 대부분이 생병을 얻어왔어요. 일단 난방/히터 전혀 없어 밤이면 저온다습을 체험할 수 있답니다. 2일 숙박하고 나니 가렵고 마른 기침이 끝나질 않네요. 부페식 아침식사는 무료인데 야외 테라스에서 먹으면 비둘기들이랑 같이 먹을 수 있어요. 수도는 온수가 고장인데 프론트에 얘기하니 고쳐주긴 했지만 매우 불편했고, 수영장은 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 진짜 화장실에서 옷 갈아입어야 해요. 수건도 없습니다. 간단한 영어라도 가능한 직원 2명정도 있어요. 그 사람들 없으면 전부 어플키고 대화해야 해요. 키즈클럽이라고 된 놀이방은 좀 큰 갈비집에 딸린 수준이에요. 밤에 공기라도 좋겠지 했는데 공기도 별로에요.

장단점이.분명한 호텔

주변 자연환경100점, 객실에 카펫은 먼지가 많이 발생해서 아쉬움, 따뜻한 물 잘나오고 수압좋음. 조식은 별로임..
샤워기쪽 물에서 유충이 나와서 놀람
호텔에서는 샤워기계만 바꿔줌.. 수돗물이 문제인 것 같은데, 다시 또 오고싶지는 않다..

很不錯的飯店、有機會想帶家人來。

整體來說、整個園區非常美麗、就在湖畔邊，還附設了許多設施，環境乾淨、房間很大、服務也很好。

白玉微瑕就是、這邊比較寧靜、在山林湖畔間，出門就是要搭計程車、或是包車會，到處玩會比較方便。

但是有個問題、很嚴重，
我們有使用洗衣服的服務，

飯店人員說我們洗衣服費用會很高、
沒有聯絡到我們確定、不敢幫我們洗，

但是手機（越南）完全沒有接到電話、

下午14:00-17:00在房間休息、也同樣沒有接到任何電話，這與對方的每小時都有聯絡、明顯有出入，

最後11:30退房時、櫃檯居然還收了我們洗衣費用89萬越盾，

如果不是我們打算在飯店用完午餐再離開、再出發去機場搭飛機回胡志明、那是不是這錢就沒救了？

希望飯店能有所改進、因為這個狀況衍生的問題、可大可小。
