The location was convenient to the hot springs, right across the street and within easy walking distance. The building was newly remodeled. The room was nice and spacious. The check-in clerk was friendly and answered all our questions. The only disappointment was the included breakfast - all cereals and carbs without any proteins.

I booked the hotel because we needed a place that accepts dogs and we wanted a convenient breakfast. We enjoyed the proximity to the park near the river a few blocks away. The desk clerk was very helpful and she gets high marks. We appreciated the small refrigerator.

The front is a bit shabby, the back looks like a slum. When we arrived, the back door was propped open; it was also propped open when I went out to get breakfast in the morning. There was no obvious reason, no activity, to explain why the door was propped open. The door was locked when we returned from dinner. The room is poorly lit and there are no shades on the bed-side lamps.

I usually don't book through Expedia and this experience will remind me to avoid you. The cost billed was considerably more than I expected -- about $230. Even worse, I found two charges from the hotel, one on the day we arrived, one the day after we left, total about $80, that I disputed and which resulted in having to cancel my credit card.

The room was OK for the price, but the breakfast offerings were among the worst I’ve ever seen at a hotel.
There was also a balance on my account upon checking out that the clerk couldn’t figure out. I prepaid for the room so there shouldn’t have been a charge.
But they did move us to a different room because we had our service dog with us.

it was a terrible experience. We found the reception desk in a second run down building.
We were told the room was recently remodeled. It looked unfinished. Paint on the door, glue on shower floor. Clumpy grout painted over. Bath was not clean, dirt in the corner of the room. Base board was loose in places. Bath had no finish on the side of the floor. Staff less than helpful. Went in for breakfast.
There was nothing, not even coffee. The time was 8:00 am. We will not use Quality Inn again

If it was $80, then maybe it would be okay. The room was okay enough, somewhat renovated, but badly. Mostly clean. The shower is the only thing that’s good. They say there is breakfast, but they are out of almost everything. There’s coffee, some juice, a few pieces of old bread, stale biscuits, and gravy.

The place is super rundown and dirty. Old, dirty beds are stacked in the lobby and stairwells. Exposed wiring is everywhere. Doors and hallways are a mess. In the room, they even messed up the size of the door to the bathroom, and it doesn’t open all the way. 😂

Overall, a weird vibe. If it was cheap, I could overlook most of it, but it’s not. They only get away with this stuff because there are not many options. I got stuck here because of a storm, and this was my last resort. I’d never come back.

The entrance for check in is trashy. Parking lot area upon approach needed serious cleaning up. The lobby pictured in Expedia may have been 10 years ago. The furniture in lobby has slip covers on and the carpet is old and overall dark upon entry. I will say the lady behind desk was very nice. We were advised as to where breakfast was available. It’s also a pizza restaurant. We weren’t aware of any hot tube on site. We were instructed to go to building beside lobby for our stay. Entrance is unlevel , watch your step. Appears to be new tile in entry. We walked up to our 2nd floor room, bathroom had been updated but rest of room dated, but clean and comfortable bed. Outlet where our bedside lamps were plugged into was behind bed and outlet was hanging outside of wall. Lamps wouldn’t stay lit. Overall, it looks like they are trying to update, maybe. But, I don’t think we would stay again. We were traveling over holidays and weren’t able to rebook.

This is a rundown hotel that they are renovating. One side of the building shows fresh new stucco while the other side is falling apart. Check-in area is separate from the main building and has no signs indicating they are even in there. Room itself was fine. Bed was great but waterfall shower is an incredible waste of water. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay with some friends and your standards are not very high, this would be perfect. But I would give it more time for more upgrades if you are looking for something a little less rundown looking. Staff was very nice.

The room had someone paint it that did a horrible job. Sloppy lines and splatters on doors and paint drips all over carpet which makes it look dirty but its paint stains. Missing smoke detector, just a wire sticking out. The hallway was in very bad shape and one area looked like an abandoned remodel attempt.

The newly remodeled room had a shower the size of a closet, no room. The toilet seat was not the right size. The faucet was so close to the back of the sink the toothbrush kept hitting the sink.

Check in was terrible , we got in at 3 several others also waiting They were not ready so sent us off with no idea of when they would be ready. The condition of the lobby area and “courtyard” frightening , delapetated, falling apart , so it made you very nervous on check in. The desk help was nice but seemed very stressed out. The rooms however were in a building next door , and very nice , clean great shower. Seems this building is new , no elevator . Breakfast was next door in delapitated building in a pizza spot . Very sparse , good yogurt machine. Nothing hot but they told us that prior . I think communication was lacking overall and customer service a zero.

We wanted to be within walking distance of all the Pagosa facilities, and this was the only place we could afford that was close to downtown. It's not an upscale place--very basic, which is what we expected for the low price. Location can't be beat--across the street from the hot springs and visitor center, and just a couple blocks from a bunch of restaurants and shops.

And the staff at this hotel were seriously SO sweet! The lady at the front desk went out of her way to get us some more supplies when we ran out, and she even brought it to our room. And even though they don't do a full clean until the rooms turn over, the housekeeper knocked on our door each morning to ask if we'd like some fresh towels or if we needed more soap, TP, or anything. So thoughtful!

Main issue I had was the bathroom. On the plus side, the sink's still accessible when someone's using the toilet--I love that. There was abundant hot water, and the shower pressure was awesome! But the shower room is tiny and cramped, with no good place to set your clothes. Shampoo shelf is placed so that you have to reach through the shower spray to access it, and the bottom is perforated, so the soap kept falling through it onto the floor. Sink vanity was too small for two people's toiletries. Handheld sprayer didn't work; water just dribbled out the bottom of the unit when we turned the diverter.

But all in all, a good basic place to stay, if you can get past the annoyances.

Worst hotel over $100 per night ever.

Ugh. This hotel was a necessary stay, but this was the worst hotel over $100, we've been in. It wasn't the worst bed, but the room was in terrible condition. The toilet has no seat cover, the ceiling tiles were out of place, the base boards were missing or damaged. Breakfast didn't include eggs or meat, but they told us when we checked in, so it wasn't a surprise. The window of it room faced the side of a parked pickup truck (less than 3' away). The finishes on the wood were work out faded it defined. I really have tried to determine what I might say positive, but there just isn't much.

After my recent stay at the Quality Inn in Pagosa Springs, I was extremely disappointed by the condition of the hotel. The property is in desperate need of a full renovation.
The exterior of the building is in a state of disrepair, with damaged fascia, siding, and roofing. The parking lot was also poorly maintained, littered with trash and dog waste. It was odd to see snowmobiles being stored on a trailer in the back of the building.
The issues continued inside the room, which showed signs of severe neglect. There was significant water damage on the walls, and the drywall and paint were peeling. The window air conditioner was improperly installed, with bulging spray foam insulation dripping down the wall. Most alarmingly, the electrical cord for the A/C unit was frayed and exposed, an obvious fire hazard likely caused by an animal. The room's king-sized bed was uncomfortably hard.
The bathroom was also in poor condition. The tub was stained and showed signs of mold around the edges. The hotel uses a bizarre tankless commercial toilet, which was unexpected.
Beyond the room itself, the amenities were lacking. The carpets were dirty, and the laundry facilities were unclean. The continental breakfast was the worst I've ever had, with very few appealing options. The walls are thin, and large gaps around and under the door allowed me to hear everything happening in neighboring rooms and the hallway.
Overall, this hotel does not meet the standards of a Quality Inn.

I would sleep in my car before I stayed here again

This hotel is beyond run down. Felt very dirty and old, broken windows, overgrown weeds out front, and I literally wore my sandals into the shower to avoid going barefoot.

The employee that checked us in was very friendly, but other than that, I regret booking!!

I travel a lot and this is the worst property I have ever stayed in. I can understand the quality level for $80 a night, but we were charged $253. I would rather sleep in my car and if I hadn’t had my little kids with me, I would’ve.

There was absolutely nothing likeable about this hotel. For $186 I would expect at a minimum, a clean room. Our bathroom was gross and the shower tub looked as if it hasnt been cleaned in years. The room consisted of broken and mis matched furniture. The lamps are broken, the furniture is beyond worn out. The owners of this hotel should be embarrassed to even be open to the public. I feel totally ripped off! Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car. This place is a dump!!!

Buyer beware - do not stay here

This is likely the worst hotel my family and I have ever stayed in. Difficult to even find because the appearance is so run down outside that one would not believe it was an actual Quality Inn. No sign even on the front door. The clerk at the time of our afternoon arrival did not greet us, was extremely rude, and literally dropped the \"f-bomb\" right in front of us when she didn't want to answer a phone call from a guest.

There was glass in the parking lot, and clearly the place is under construction. We (somewhat fortunately) stayed in the \"nicer\" building, however, the rooms have not been updated, are dark, and there were dried paint drippings all over our bathroom.

The office building was so terrible that we did not trust the breakfast so didn't eat there.

The only positive was that the morning clerk at checkout was very nice.

Highly recommend finding another accommodation in Pagosa Springs.

Very outdated and semi-abandoned. Supposedly going through a renovation although I didn’t see any work being done. The rooms are gross and the furniture looks like something that should have had a “free” sign on the side of the road 2 decades ago. There were hairs on my sheets and on the bathroom floor. It was a last minute booking and the only option - $150/night is way too much for this hotel, even $50 would be generous.

Not so pleasant stay in Pagosa Springs

Upon arrival, I walked into the lobby but as I walked in, someone had just blew a bunch of pot smoke in the entry. Figured that was normal being as it was Colorado. Went to the front desk where Infoujd nobody. After 10 minutes’ish this person walked in wearing a veil of some type with smoke billowing out of it. Turns out that it was the front desk clerk. We exchanged pleasantries but every time this person would talk, it was like blowing pit smoke into my face. Went upstairs, no elevator, walked down the hall that wreaked of pot smoke to find our room. Room is extremely dated but the hotel was old so I wasn’t too concerned. The room was really dark with not enough lighting. There was no safety lock for the door. Could see the holes where it use to be. The heater is a window heater which is fine but this one was obnoxiously noisy, especially at start up. The water lines at the bathroom sink would initially make a god awful noise every time we turned the sink on….and it would seem every time someone else would use water in a neighboring room. I was in a jam and needed the room or we probably would’ve tried elsewhere.

Nice place that is now horrid

We have been staying at this hotel for years when we visit. Used to be ok with a great location. Now was do dirty and sketch that we almost slept in our truck. Room not clean, shower had footprints and hairballs. The show is great, but needs an instruction manual and has no place to put soap and shampoo. Whole place smells like week and wet dog. Bed had indentations from people, dirty sheets and was sitting on unpainted 2x4s. We did not sleep because of mattress and noise of late night partiers. We were glad to escape. And, yes, it is under construction, but we stayed here in December and it was ok. Now it feels like we were extras in a crime drama. After 7 stays in about 5 years, I can say, give this one a hard pass

Do not stay here! Although it's advertising pool and hot tub they are not open no where in the property description do they have this posted you don't find out until you check in and it's too late to cancel and get a refund. The bathroom vent fan sounds like a badger eating it's way through the ceiling and the heater sounds like one eating through the wall. We arrived in town about 15mins before check in and called to see if we could check in early and was told absolutely not so we waited until 3 went in and was told we had to wait for shift change and listen to the clerks list of grievances for working too long then once the new register was open the new clerk ivited a whole group of I assume friends of his to check in before me so it was well after 3 before I was able to check in. It's also unsafe I went out to get something from the truck for my wife because she didn't feel safe and I'm glad I did there was a group of drunk locals proped up and leaning on my truck threatening to set it on fire because of a cap I had on the dash. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had here. My wife and I have stayed here many times over 20yrs and this was our first trip bringing our granddaughter and our last trip to stay at this place it's bad bad bad

The room itself was clean and had been updated, however the building was falling apart. There were two separate buildings we were in the building not attached to the hotel lobby. The lobby of our building had cracked tiles, and old kitchen equipment piled up in it. The window at the end of the hall had a crack in it and was being held together with tape. There were areas of construction not taped off just open for anyone to be in at the end of the halls. The door to the room itself had a large gap where it did not seal well to the door frame. The photos on the hotels.com website are very misleading regarding the overall condition of the building.

The remodel is necessary as the hotel and parking lot has become very run down. There are piles of lumber and building supplies to walk around. We paid $175 to stay in the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. From the person that checked us in to the bed, toilet and cleanliness of bathroom, it was disgusting. If we didn't want a hot shower so desperately, we would've left immediately.

Last time we stay there

The older building needs to be torn down. It is really old and it shows. We almost left and forfeited our money. The b-fast was either cold cereal, pop tarts, or waffles. I don't know what happened from a decade ago. They used to make omelette for you. Oh, I wanted to make a cup of coffee in my room, but the tray that holds the coffee was missing. Sigh!

Doing construction on the separate building, so there wasn’t a side walk into the place and they had building materials all over the place! The lady that checked us in was amazing and fun! The rest of the staff seemed nervous or inconvenienced.

We were on a road trip through Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. We were excited to soak in the Hot Springs, which was right across the street from the Quality Inn. We asked for a ground floor room (getting older and not wanting to lug our stuff up the stairs). They were very accommodating. The room was newly remodeled, shower and mirror was high tech and so quiet. Breakfast was included - nothing too fancy but satisfying.

Nice converted restaurant area as the breakfast space. Fresh coffee and lots of it. Property is pending a lot of upgrades but we didn't mind for the price. Wish there was an elevator
