Mattress is very firm, pillows very soft. Carpet is old and dirty. (Room 306)

WIFI was very slow and failed frequently, causing my VPN to crash. Not suggested if you need to work from your room. Closest Starbucks has WIFI that was better, but I still had issues with my VPN.

Location is okay, but about 15 minute walk to the nearest MRT station.

Restaurant recommendation: Kanokwan Thai Noodle was fast and tasted great!

It's a good 3 star hotel. It's a 15-19 mins walk from Taipei main station (or take the bus and walk 400 meters - similar time). The hotel doesn't even provide soap for washing your hands. So be aware of that. I found it too eco (or cheap).

Very dated facility, don’t think there was an update for decades since we first stayed here.

No heat system. The air kept on coming out automagically. The room was so cold, the staff had to bring us a space heater.

Walk far to MRT, or bus transfers to other transit.

We will look for other hotels next time.

Property’s dated, needs an update.

No heat system. The A/C kept on coming out automately.
It was so cold in January. Finally the staff brought us a portable space heater.

Area is not that convenient, needs some walk to MRT, or bus transfer to other train stations.

We stayed in this hotel for more than decades due to the wonderful staff.
Will definitely look for other hotels in the future.

Worth the money, recommended

For $35 / night, it can’t be beaten. The hotel comes with jacuzzi which i fully utilized (have to upgrade for that), a mini fridge, TV with different channels and even adult films lol. The place is quiet and clean as you would expect. There is daily housekeeping. The staff here are very hospitable.

The drawback would be that it is quite a walk to the metro, nothing much going out right outside outside the hotel. Another issue I encounter was the humidity inside the room. It gets very sweaty at night when I put on the blanket to sleep. If i take off the blanket then it is cold. And there is no heater in the room.

Horrible and Terrible Hotel Service Staff

Hotel looks a bit old and dated. Booked two rooms and requested to be next to each other. In the end was given one room on level 3 and another room on level 5!

During check in, Hotel staff Mr Liao could not find bookings for both rooms and insisted we only booked one room. After my persistence on searching name they suddenly “found” my booking and blamed it on their system. However Liao is not even apologetic! Terrible training by hotel.

It’s very outdated and not cleaned.

The only elevator broke down.

TV control didn’t work well.

The room (706) had a very strong urine smell. No matter how I sprayed clean the bathroom with the shower hose, it wouldn’t go away.

It wasn’t like this when we stayed at this hotel before.
Will definitely be our last time staying here.

location of the property is not good, under the freeway and is not matched with the pictures on website. Homeless people sleep around the near the hotel entrance. Hotel is smelly and window cannot be opened because it almost next to the freeway. Book 4 nights and cannot stand the moldy smell and the surrounding area, want to just stay there for one day and canceled the rest. Hotel cancellation policy is always charge one extra day even you come and stay there for one day and or two day and give them cancellation in 48 hour advance. Hotel has jet tub in room. This is a plus. Serving breakfast in underground level.

Basic Business Hotel, Not Boutique

This is a standard business hotel that you can find around Taiwan for less money and in more convenient neighborhoods. It seems to be an older hotel and doesn't fit with the Beauty Hotels boutique brand. I have stayed in other Beauty Hotels locations and liked them. The room is slight musty, which is a common experience in Taiwan due to the humidity, but made worse due to old carpet. The hotel is hard to find and a bit inconvenient. Don't pay more than a 2 or 2.5-star price. Also note that there is a bathtub, not a hot tub, and the breakfast is a choice between a Western set and an Asian set, not a buffet.

Great stay and I will sure return again!

This was my first visit to this hotel and we had 3 rooms for 6 nights there. The hotel is clean and decent, with excellent staff team that is very helpful and accommodating to various requests. BF is great and nice beverages served throughout the day at the small lobby lounge. It is located near to various amenities and in between two metro stations so need to walk a distance to reach either station. Overall experiences are super and we will definitely return again!

The entire hotel and our room reeked of cigarette smoke our first night there. We asked to change rooms but the other room smelled just as bad. The staff was kind and accommodating, the smoke smell seemed to dissipate after a couple of days but was a very off putting first experience.

Good business hotel. 18min walk to zhongshan mrt. The stay was good. The staff was extremely helpful in 2 instances. 1. Organised special breakfast as i do not eat meat. 3. Had lost my cellphone in a taxi which was called by the hotel. They helped in tracking the taxi and got my phone back. The amenities were great with fizz drinks in the refrigerator everyday replenished and on the house. The toilet was fully automated. After a tiring day, it was good to be back at the hoyel and have a nice hot shower and specially the therapeutic toilet. Good value for the grade hotel. Nearby theatre, restaurant s and popular busy area. Recommend this hotel to travellers

Free & easy with my wife and elderly (60+) parents

My family and I (4 adults) stayed in the quadruple room. Located between two MRT stations, its about 20-30 mins walk to either station (zhongshan or songjiang nanjing). There are some eateries along the way to the MRT, however we opt to get the breakfast set from the hotel because most shops are not open until 10am or 11am. Just have to be careful of the motorcyclists along the road and while crossing the road. It does help to get a local SIM card from the airport when navigating the streets. Plenty of 7-11 along the way to the MRT too.

Overall still a nice stay

We booked multiple Superior double rooms as a travelling group. Reasonably spacious rooms. Not sure if they upgraded one of the rooms as it had a jacuzzi bath with television. The others were either a half-length bathtub with separate shower or a bathtub without separate shower. Strong water pressure. Unfortunately, one of the rooms' air-conditioner could not be tuned and it was freezing cold. Had to resort to shutting off the air-conditioner at night. Asked the hotel to help the next day - they sent someone up who tried tuning for a few minutes unsuccessfully and said there was nothing they could do as it was central air-conditioning (but the other rooms' air-conditioners could be tuned?). Service was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. The pillows are too soft, but bed was comfortable. Overall very clean room, and in a quiet neighbourhood. Ningxia night market is 15 to 20minutes stroll away. And it's just a short 5 minute taxi ride to Taipei Main Station. Nice gesture for them to provide free coffee and tea at a waiting area near reception.

Clean, newly refurbished and rather spacious for a triple room. Nearby ningxia night market, but not much of daytime shopping. There's a small ShinShin mall and small park just across the main road. Can smell a slight stench, presumably from the sewage during daytime. Would feel more welcoming if receptionists smile more ;)

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the closest MRT station. We stayed three nights in this hotel. The front desk staffs were friendly, so were those at the kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that the double bed was actually a king sized bed. The room was a little small for 3 persons but accommodated all our luggage without problem. Strangely, there was only one chair in the room. We really like the bath room, it has a contemporary decor and good sized. All common toiletry items e.g. comb, tooth brushes/paste, Q-tips, liquid bath soap and shampoo etc. were provided. My wife loved the water fall shower. The ventilation of the bath room was well designed and there was no condensation problem at all. The strength of the WiFi in the room was good. Our room was on the 7th floor with the window facing the back alley and it was quiet. My teenage daughter complained about the lack of snacks provided. We did get three bottles of water plus three half-sized can pops for free each day. The breakfast included was a \"set-meal\" and was decent. I really like the coffee (made instantly with a machine) but the \"orange juice\" was not great. Oh, the hotel also provided disposable slippers - a nice touch.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay even though the price charged was slightly above average.

Nice hotel for a good price

My wife and I stayed here in December. Overall, it is a good place to stay for the price. The room was a good size with plenty of space to store our 2 large luggage's out of the way. There is a mini fridge in the room. The bathroom is quite nice and spacious. They have one of those smart toilets. The walls are a bit thin though. We were able to hear the TV and shuffling sounds from the next room. There is also only one elevator, so it can get a bit crowded if you are staying in the upper floors. The hotel itself is not an easy find. It is about a 10 to 15 min walk from the nearest subway/MRT station. And taxi's can only find it if you give them the full address. There is a convenience store a few blocks down. The free breakfast is simple so don't expect too much.

Clean hotel but...

The room smelled of old smoker's room when entering. The staff didn't offer to allow us to change rooms only offering to \"air\" it out. Tried to adjust the heat but it wouldn't turn on. Later found out from staff that there is no heat and was offered a second blanket instead. Good thing the cold weather only last one night during our stay. Those were the two main issues. Other than that the hotel is clean and well located between two MRT lines making travel easy. Lastly, excluding normal traffic the room and area is quiet after dark.

Cozy, relatively spacious and clean room & bathroo

The room was actually more spacious than I expected. It was clean and cozy (especially the bathroom, most important to me). Room cleaned and water bottles, cotton buds etc. are replaced everyday. They gave me extra shampoo and body wash when the current wasn't even half empty. Would recommend it if you are in for budget travelling. Location is also close to the train station and central enough to walk around.

The stay was comfortable, rooms clean and modern. Location was about 2-4 blocks walk from key MRT / Mass transit stations, but very close to bus stations (1 block).

Super close to Taipei central rail station - airport bus. Cab ride was only about NT$100-120 or appx US $4.00.

If taking the 1805 bus from TPE airport, exit ambassador hotel and walk 4 blocks east. Very well located.

This hotel is very modern it feels like you are in a more expensive hotel the moment you enter the room.Twin room provides a double and single and has spacious living area to work your luggage and other stuff. We purposely paid extra for the \"hot tub\", which you would assume has some sort of jet. The photos also made the hot tub look large. When we got there, it was a tiny little bathtub, barely large enough to fit one comfortably. Save your money and just get the cheaper room. Also the area the hotel is in gets a little weird at night. Other than that, the hotel was clean and the staff was very nice.

This is a very nice, quiet hotel.

Within walking distance to everything you need. MRT, Night Markets, shopping, parks, Starbucks, although I do recommend Mr. Browns just a block down. I had a great stay! Definitely highly recommend! The staff was excellent! The ladies at the desk were very sweet and gave me walking map and the simplest directions. Very helpful, and kind. Thank you ladies so much! My nails were perfect!

OK stay

Average hotel. Breakfast was terrible, a choice of a microwaved ham and cheese sandwich, or tepid prawn porridge.
Cheap enough, but would stay somewhere else next time.
