The staff at first seemed to not speak any English which made check in very difficult. We finally did and needed more towels, wash clothes and blankets so trying to communicate that was almost impossible. For a room that sleeps 4 there should be at least that many towels. The rooms were ok, lots of stains on the bed and something splattered on the walls that could be wiped up. Our car broke down on our way to our vacation so our options were very limited. I would suggest you stay anywhere else than this place. The most frustrating thing was when I asked for a late check out because our car wasn’t quite ready from the mechanic, the staffs English greatly increased and then gave us 30 extra minutes but paced in front of our room while we were packing up.

I get the feeling that because I was traveling with my 2 (French Bulldogs) I was given the worst room. It smelled like mildew, there were dead bugs on the window sill and in the bathroom. The chair next to the bed looked like it was found at the dump, I wouldn’t even set my luggage on it. The a/c unit worked but only intermittently and it was a hot night. The mattress was thin and the pillowcases were not the same color as the bedding. However the bathroom vanity looked fairly new, even if the water smelled a little sulphuric. Glad I only had to spend one night. If I could say one thing to the manager it would be don’t judge people traveling with dogs. My dogs are better behaved in hotels than most people.

There were stains on the sheets and towels, there was either ant or mouse bait in the room. There was a smell of sulfur in the room and the smoke alarm was beeping the entire time I was there. The trash outside did not affect the stay, but it was just nasty as you can see. It may be convenient, and much less expensive, but I will not stay here again.

The ceiling had peeled off paint and the shower fixture was rusty. The toilet was on the ground floor like a child’s size toilet. The room smelled bad. The microwave in the room had either old food splatter or rust on the window. The desk was a cheap plastic table and chair. The little lounge chair wasn’t stationary. It looked like it was last remodeled in the 1980s. Staff made me fill out an old paper form that was meant for credit cards like an old carbon copy type receipt even though I paid in full with a third party. The hotel was extremely overpriced at like $80 for the night with no amenities and no breakfast.

I checked in online payed online and they tried telling me I had to pay at desk because they couldn’t find where I used Travelocity after showing them the receipt where paid, then proceeded to tell me I had to leave a 50 dollar deposit to make sure I didn’t smoke in the room I don’t smoke would not recommend this place to anyone very bad service

Cable TV problem

Knights Inn - Peru - serves my needs well, which is why I choose it.

Rates are reasonable, room is clean and the guy at the desk is friendly.

The only problem I have is with the cable TV. Some channels are very soft while others are VERY LOUD.
The volume needs to be adjusted constantly. This has been a problem since I have been coming here for the past ten years.

I don’t even know where to begin. Staff was rude upon check in. The room was filthy. Stained sheets, dried blood on the walls. Chair in the room was filthy. TV didn’t work. Pillows smelled like stale old body odor. My dogs were even uncomfortable. They charge a $50 deposit on top of the pet fee and refund it after they do a walk through of the room. Really? My dogs could have done their business all over the room and it wouldn’t look any worse than what we walked into

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We needed to change from a one bed king to a 2 bed double due to our grandson wanted to stay with us. The room was clean and in order. Our 7 year old grandson called the property \"cute\". The only complaint is the parking lot is very rough and filled with pot holes. However, for an overnight stay the hotel is quiet, convenient and economical. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Decent hotel. Clean. New mattresses. I guess they had a bedbug problem a while back. Many places do. The bed was comfy. Shower and everything pretty clean. Free coffee in office in am. No coffee maker in room. Not a big deal. The location seems safe and quiet. Our room was in back facing a corn field, which gave it a nice rural feel. We did not eat in restaurant out front. Over all, a nice place for the money.

This location is good. Rooms are clean and look refurbished fairly recently and are relatively quiet. Security good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Best: Freddy's Mexican restaurant is a short walk across the parking lot. Hours 8a to 9pm. Excellent food, particularly Mexican. The owner is a Mexican named Freddy. Tell Freddy that Kevin said \"hi!\"

Wasn’t as nice as in the pictures. Water is hard. Crumbs on the boxspring where matyesss didn’t cover. Definitely not a 7.4. Or 8.2 as listed inside. Beds were hard, sheet was thin and comforter should have been discarded 5 years ago. Non smoking but still had holes in comforter. It was half the price as best western. Only reason I choose it to save a buck. Really should be $49.99/ night. Tops

Check in was fast and easy. This is an older motel that has been updated fairly recently. The decor is simple and functional. The staff are friendly and accommodative. It suits my needs with no unwanted extravagance. The room had a microwave and mini fridge but no coffee maker (I'm okay with that because I have never had acceptable coffee service in a hotel room regardless of the room price so I bring my own). Overall, it is not a high end hotel but is inexpensive and functional.

My wife and I stayed on a Saturday evening, checked in a little early. Clerk was very polite and had no problems getting checked in, The room was very clean, take your own soap and shampoo as there was not much! AC worked great. Shower pressure was good. No coffee in room only in office ( no big deal) Frig and microwave in room, no breakfast of any kind but didn't expect any. Very nice for the price paid. Would stay there again if ever in town .

Choose Knights Inn, Peru, IN

We weren’t planning on staying in Knghts Inn due to a previous bad experience. The room was very clean and comfortable as well as being properly maintained. We stayed because there were no other rooms available at any motel in town. On our next trip we will happily choose the Knights Inn in Peru, IN. Oh, and we give an A+ to the motel manager.

The new bed frame in the room was way too wide for the mattress. It stuck out beyond the mattress on both sides. It also was very tall. My wife has mobility issues and uses a cane. It was very difficult for her to get into and out of the bed.

Our first sign that this stay was going to be awful was the stained mattress propped up outside our window. Upon entering the room, dark flecks of brown were on the wall behind the bed. Then a bedbug came out to greet us. I am all about getting a good rate on a room, but this was a deal breaker.

Room appeared to be clean and smell good at initial inspection. Light switch by front door doesn’t control any lights. Air conditioning worked poorly and shut off many times through the stay. Bathroom door didn’t shut and wasn’t even in the realm of shutting. Linens seemed clean but were all stained. Beds felt like cardboard had been laid on a box spring. Stay was cheap, but you get exactly what you pay for.
