Bed was very uncomfortable and noising when sitting on. Breakfast was in one word, poor. Had to use phone at the desk to call for assistance, even checking in. No one responded when we checked out. Stay was for funeral, just added to negative experience. Will never stay there again.

It's clean, quiet, and typical for most of these similar hotels. Breakfast is included though it was very minimal selection. No pool. What stood out and was the deciding factor for my stay was that they have a triple queen bed room option. We have been traveling with kids across the US and this was only the second of 18 hotel stays that have had that option. If you have 3 kids then i would suggest that option!

Warning to people booking on this property. READ THE REVIEWS. I didnt do my assignment and didn't read reviews. Upon entering I can already tell that this hotel is poor in cleanliness. It has some sort of smell. I proceeded to check in hoping that the room will be clean. As soon as i entered the non-smoking room that I booked, It smelled like a mixture of cigarette and dust. I could not breathe! I looked around the corners of the carpet and the wall and you can see the dust. It looks like they never bothered to vacuum the corners. The room looks very old and it seems as though it was a room that used to be smokers room and they just changed and called it non smoking but actually never removed all the smoke damage to the walls and carpets. Also the wall is like a mustard yellow and there was a hole and they just patched it with white paint. I tell u, I got out of there so fast. I thought I could suck it up for one night but I just feel like I was gonna suffocate and will be eaten alive by God know what kind of bugs are around. Luckily I booked on expedia and I filed a complaint and I was refunded. Please read reviews for this hotel before booking.

The property did not come as advertised. I was travelling with two dogs. The Expedia website said dogs were $15 per accommodation. When I checked in I was charged $20/dog. When I saw this on my bill, i questioned it and the man who gave me the bill said it was policy. I told him the website said $15 and he challenged me to show him. When I did he said he would fix it, and when he gave me back the bill he changed it to $30. I again questioned this as it said $15 per accommodation, not per dog, but he replied that was what he meant and stood firm on the $30. I told him he needed to change his description on Expedia and to his credit, within 30 minutes it read $20/dog per night. This was my most expensive stay during a 4 night trip across the USA from Maine to Montana and I would never have chosen this location if I knew how much extra would be charged for my pets. I would have taken a different route with different accomodation choices resulting in loss of business for the Fort Dodge area. Large nightly charges for people travelling with pets will deter many travellers.

Laundry and Curry

Over priced for the quality. The place stunk like curry powder throughout the entire hotel. After seeing a laundry bag in my room I asked the lady at the front desk about laundry services. She pointed to a set of coin operated washer and dryer. I explained I was looking for a laundry service as I did not have time with working 12 hour shifts. She told me it is $20. I figured that was fair until I had to go request my clothes just to get them halfway rolled into balls and stacked. I went later in the week to get more done and then she charged me $40 because it was two loads. That is ridiculous but I was at their mercy because of time. I wouldn't recommend them and I won't be staying with them again and probably not another Super 8.

Worst. Hotel. Stay. I. Have. Ever. Had!

The first night I walked into the room and it was hot and stuffy, the ac was not on. As I laid in bed reading I noticed that my hip was wet. My first thought was Oh my gosh, I am laying where someone peed the bed! Upon investigation I realized it couldn't be that someone had wet the bed. The mattress was dry but apparently the mattress cover had been pulled from the dryer a little too soon. The ac was not working. It was damp in the room and the wet sheet didn't help. The second night I walked into the room it was extremely damp and uncomfortable. The ac was putting nothing but damp, smelly air into the room. Had to jack up the temp in order to \"dry\" the room out. Didn't sleep well either night. In addition, the bathroom exhaust fan was really noisy. It was tied to the light so if I turned the light on to use the toilet it was very loud and uncomfortable. Housekeeping did do a nice job of cleaning the room during the day in between the two nights I stayed . However because the ac didn't work properly it was the worst stay in a hotel I have ever had. When I left at the end of my stay there was no one at the desk to ask how my stay was. First time that has ever happened. Will not stay at this Super 8 ever again and will probably avoid Super 8's in the future.

Loved our room with 3 queen beds. Aesthetically the room was lovely (although there was an outlet behind our bed that did not have the cover on it).
We however did not love when staff came into our room 30 minutes after we had settled in. There was NO knock, NO voice announcement, nothing. He just used his keycard and came right in--said something about a stain on the floor, then left. It was odd and disturbing. My kids were freaked out and had trouble sleeping that night. We tried to explain to them it was a staff member and not just a random guest, but still...Who enters someone's room without knocking or announcing?! Glad we were all clothed at least!

The room I had reserved was not available. Fortunately, they upgraded me from a queen to a king. My room was decent. There were some minor repairs that hadn't been completed since their last renovation of the room. To name a few, small chips on the tub, screw holes in the wall from previously hung items, and a small patch of paint which didn't match the rest of the room. I suspect something had been hung there. The back \"security\" door, complete with electronic card reader, was unlocked and accessible to anyone. The free \"Hot\" breakfast they advertise on the sign out front was the most bare-bones breakfast I've ever encountered. A waffle maker, bread, two cereals, and juice/coffee. Granted, COVID restrictions were still in place at this facility.

Nice clean establishment! Great value! Just a few fixes to be addressed.
