There was a missing shear curtain and the other had mold along the bottom edge. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice.
Reino
My son enjoyed his stay. No complaints I'm aware of 😊.
Stacie
This was an amazing hotel full of games and all sorts of fun for the kids like mini golf and go carts. It is very conveniently placed with short travel distance to good food, shops while not being to far from all of the parks or Des Moines bike and nature trails. The staff was amazing and very helpfull. At one point there was some trouble with them and Expedia but they were all over it. They fixed everything and told me not to worrie about it. The breakfast was good and fresh. I personally didn't like the sprinkles in the waffle mix but it was still great!
Nicole
Clean & quiet, would stay again.
Ashton
Very nice place. The King suite was a perfect size for my kids and I. Only complaint is the very very strong smell of chlorine from the pool.
Jessica
It is in a good location.
Holly
Friendly staff, clean room.
Jerald
Clean room , staff was very helpful.

Marty
Breakfast was very underwhelming, even compared to other hotels continental breakfast. No alarm clock in the room I was assigned. Don't care for the small square pillows, would prefer longer pillows like most hotels. Carpet torn and nasty looking in front of elevators. Otherwise, bed and room were comfortable. Staff at check in desk were helpful and friendly.
Linda
Clean room. Easy parking.
Sarah
Nice place. Average breakfast. Nice breakfast room which was open other times and great for playing games. Handicap bathroom had tub with high side so not very user friendly.
Holly

They said there was no hot food for breakfast the day I was there other than waffles. I went down for breakfast at 8 am
Thomas
Staff was great, breakfast was great, but room is in need of refurbishment. Missing handles from dresser and nightstand. No alarm clock, which was fine, but weird. First room we were assigned had no TV/chair. Tub caulk was black in spots. We’ve been staying there for years, but this might be our last time for a while. Lobby was fine…but rooms need a badly needed refresh.
mary
Nice.. clean. Staff pleasant
Jill
Breakfast good. Clean room. Quiet.
Shawn
Very friendly staff Very clean

There had been a recent snow so parking was \"interesting.\" The closet in the room was in total disrepair. No shelves, no hangers or hanger bar. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Tabitha
When I showed up I stood at the front desk for well over 10-15 min no one came out so I called the hotel as I was standing in the lobby to get someone to come to the desk. Then I requested a main floor room as I am disabled and have a service dog. I was informed that they needed to put me on the third floor because it's the only room with a king size bed. I informed them I was ok with a queen size bed and they refused to switch my room so I had to trek up to the third floor. I went down to breakfast only to find not much food left. did I mention the elevator! it clinked and clanked like it was going to quit working. when I got on there was a gentleman on there I said im really afraid this thing is gonna quit working he says \"you are the seventh person to say that to me\" . as I was getting my things together to check out I noticed a BLOOD SPOT on the comforter from someones period! DISGUSTING! it had looked like it had even been there a while. I took a picture of it also! it has to be the worst stay I had ever had very disappointed I want a full refund!!!
Suanne
Awesome accommodations and very comfortable!!
Joy
Staff was very hospitable, rooms clean and quiet.
Chris
We rented the room to be able to get ready for the wedding room was clean but when we asked for a late check out we were told they don’t do that, all we asked for was an extra hour and they would not accommodate but they had no problem booking the room for a whole other day in the same room!!!
Gene
We had to spend 20 minutes getting the tv to come on. The handle on the door to go from floor 1 to floor 2 in stairwell broke not able to use.
John
All good, but there were very limited options for gluten free diet.....even having cheerios vs. honey nut cheerios would have been helpful.
Meaghan
Everything was really good except the cable box in our room took forever to work and the breakfast was lacking

The tub had some give in the bottom and made squeeking noises each time a move was made in the shower.
Jeffery
Didn't use the gym. The pool was nice.
Ellinor
Terrible place.
Went to immediately set thermostat and found MOLD spots on the bottoms of the shear curtains. Food in refrigerator, pieces of food on the carpet, many liquid rings on furniture, terrible water pressure in shower, toilet made for people under 4ft while the shower couldn’t be reached to direct unless over 6ft. Ridiculous. Pretty on the outside, terrible inside except for the receptionist.

Overnight stay
We were just needing an overnight stay so it served the purpose. It seemed clean enough, was just not well kept up. I expected it to be nicer than it was. Lady at the front desk did her job but was not friendly.

The staff was very friendly. The room was dirty. It smelled like a portable bathroom
Pamela
The hotel was very clean. Checking in and out was easy.

Nice,comforting, clean.
The workout room hours should be earlier. Business people have to leave early. The elliptical needs to be repaired and the gym needs to offer water.

Michael
We have stayed during multiple visits to the area and will stay again! Breakfast changes daily a bit and always something good! Toilet was a bit short for us being in our late fifties and being taller than 5’9” and it would have been nice to have a soft-close toilet seat, but everything else was absolutely stellar! Thank you for an amazing stay!
Diane
Two nights stay. Rey comfortable. Easy access to everything we needed.

Staff not really friendly...Room was very nice.....Elevator had thump issues...staff a little slow keeping food on the continental breakfast.....Property was fairly new....👍
Leesa
Nothing unique but I do like the fact that I feel safe there. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious enough.
Todd
Great front desk staff!
George
The orange juice was watery.
Joel
Not clean & poor service
After being taken to 3 different rooms, and still not clean and put together. Dressers & tables broke, not pushed up against the walls. Missing decor. Exhaust fan not working in the bathroom. Missing light bulbs, for lamps, lamps not working., beds not made, food crumbs on floor, floors dirty/sticky, dirty walls…dirty couches. Hair in shower..feces on the wall. Went to have breakfast at 9 & the lady said they take away breakfast at 10 o’clock on weekends only.. we said it’s Saturday… she said oh here ya go, it’s still on the cart being put away, while being very rude… very disappointed
Jacinto
It was excellent
David
Smell
It was ok this time. Someone was smoking pot and staff did nothing. It was leaking out onto the halls and common areas and nothing was done.
mary pat
Not a great value for the money. Felt very dorm-like
David
Room floor had glitter around the bed and night stand.
Brian
Great place . Kendra was extremely polite and courteous.
Mike
Nice and reasonably priced
Jennifer
The pool had a little too much chlorine but otherwise I would recommend this place. Polite staff and patrons.
Connie
Great accommodations.
Michael
Great stay for state Xc meet. Seems new and clean. Convenient location
Trisha
Nice hotel!
Beautiful hotel, helpful staff and good breakfast.
David
Nice place. Breakfast eh
The continental breakfast leaves me desiring more. The eggs are runny, there was no meat and the waffles are flavored. Only flavored available. Overall great hotel but if breakfast is important than you may want to ask what they are really serving.
Joshua
What can I say about this place???? The staff were accommodating and so friendly to my sister and I. They didn't care that I was up during the overnight shift doing emails. They were the best hands down. Being in fort dodge and hearing it be listed as the 3 in crime rate for Iowa. U wouldn't know it here. I went out at 2 3 4 am to smoke and I felt safer then where I am from. It was a beautiful stay.
Tina
It was great
Julie
Nice facilities!
Jennifer
Clean and comfortable
Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Pool was closed, so the kids were disappointed. But overall a great hotel.
MELANIE
Front desk staff were excellent!
michael
We have used Brookstone many times since family lives here. Many months ago the pool had no heat & this time it was closed. It smelled like chlorine but had a film on top.
People next door partied all night with music & tv on. It siunded like 50 people in that room. When everyone left, The (very loud) tv stayed on.
No spoons in the dining room in the morning and no one ever came in to check on food/drinks.
Did I mention no soap or shampoo in the room?
This is the 2nd time my grandkids have been disappointed by the non existent pool.
We are changing hotels as it’s clearly going downhill.

Robert

dan
Very clean property and room. Some of the staff seemed annoyed to have to deal with guests
Nancy
It’s on the edge of town and easy to get to. Everything was great except for the breakfast and coffee. There was no waffle batter one morning. The eggs were tough. The only healthy grain was raisin bran. There was no fruit. I’m glad that there was a fitness room as small as it was.
Claudia
Stayed 4 nights. No maid service to empty trash cans or provide more tissues. No iron in room, had to get desk clerk to hunt one down. Only 3 hangers in room and no more available according to desk clerk.
Gretchen
The road next to the property was very busy and loud at night. On our second night, a wedding party moved in next door, and they were up playing loud music and talking until 5 a.m.. Make sure you're not in a block of reserved rooms for a wedding.

Good Place
Nice place to stay. Room was clean. We had King bed and handicap accessible railing in the bathroom. Tub sqeaked alot as you moved in the shower.(a little annoying but shower had great pressure) Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was small but enough. Eggs and sausage patties. Make a waffle, toast, or bagel. There's cereal, juice, coffee, and milk. Overall it was a good place.
Cynthia
Very clean. Comfortable beds.
Roberta
This property was conveniently located to the worksite I was visiting, and it was located near plenty of restaurants. It was clean and quiet, and the staff was very helpful.
Amy
The amenities were nice. The property was clean. All staff we encountered were friendly and polite.
Kenneth
The smell of chlorine from the pool was too strong causing headache and nausea.
DENISE
Very nice hotel. One light didn’t work in the bathroom. Everything else was good.
