We had to get switched rooms through our first hour of our visit. The first room had hair everywhere, the sheets were nasty with hair and different smear marks on them, and there was hair in the drains. I had to go ask for a room switch with how bad it was. The second room wasn’t as bad, but still had a lot of issues. The second room had very low lighting, hair in the drain, smears of some foreign stuff on the pullout couch bed, poop like stains on the bathroom wall. The carpet was very disgusting and never really cleaned with stains on the floor as well.
I will never recommend this state to anybody. If I could give them a zero star, I would. cleanliness is not their strength.

The breakfast was not edible. The bread was stale. Every piece. There was 2 pieces of sausage available at 640 am. The waffle machine was not working. The milk was left over from the day before and 1/4 full. Breakfast was late opening. the small tray of eggs available were not even in a hot pan but sitting on a counter which is a health violation. We had to drive and find another option but we chose this location due to offering a breakfast. It made the experience unacceptable and we would not recommend this hotel to anyone now.

Checked in and was told about breakfast in the morning. Told it’s a non smoking room. There was no heat in the hallway, they didn’t turn the heat on in the room an it took 7 hours to warm up. The smoke alarm case was off. The grab bar in the shower was laying there. Dirty bathroom. Next day there was hardly any food for breakfast. There was one scoop of runny eggs, one dried up sausage, no bread or bagels, no fruit, there was cereal in one container but none in the other. When I asked the staff she made it seem like we were bothering her. Just horrible.

This hotel was disgusting. It smelled horrible, like must and mildew. It was dirty, I never once saw a housekeeper. It was completely outdated and basically needs to be gutted and redone. We had SOMEONE ELSE'S socks behind the TV stand, so clearly the room was not clean. There were dead stink bugs in the windowsill, and I squashed 3 more while we were there. It looked like there were boogers on one of the walls. Carpet just looked filthy. The linen closet door was left open, and we saw the filth inside there. GROSS. Highly recommend you find somewhere else to stay and not here.

We packed up to leave and told the person behind the counter about the issues and he didnt seem to care or act like he was surprised.

Was here for a short night after visiting Holiday World Halloween event. Room was clean, plenty of amenities from mini fridge to a microwave to use. Bathroom was kinda small as I am a bigger person. Wife disliked the coffee that they provided but what can you expect. Breakfast choices were great (Sausage, eggs, Waffles, fruit, cereal) Juice machine was down but they provided their own apple juice and milk as drinks for the breakfast. Bed was comfortable along with the couch that was also in the room.

This was one of the worst hotels i have stayed. The rooms had poop on the wall and something dried on the phone. The sinks were rusted, bed was hard, no wifi, and the pool was nasty and snelled like bleach. My toilet got clogged after 1 night. And the rooms were small. Everything in the rooms were ancient. It needs a remodel and good deep cleaning.

Check-in was painless. The room was clean and in good condition, though the display on the air conditioner had some damage so that is did not display a readable temperature. The unit itself worked fine and kept the room comfortable. The pool was a nice treat after a long drive. The provided breakfast was more than adequate. I like when you can make your own fresh waffles!

The only complaint of consequence we had was that the internet was spotty. We had difficulty streaming a movie on Tubi in the evening. We ended up finishing it in the morning. I'm guessing this was just a consequence of staying in rural Indiana.

ROACHES. There were baby roaches crawling around the coffee machine in the lobby. There was a giant roach crawling in the hallway by the front check in desk. I told a lady that was working there. She threw the towel that was in her hand on it and killed it, then looked up at me and laughed. Our king size room was not properly cleaned. There was a used bath towel still hanging on the inside of the bathroom door. There were also spare blankets that were unfolded on top of the clothing rack, also indicating it was not properly cleaned after the previous guest's stay. Also, the front staff was unfriendly. It is a very dirty hotel. I would never stay here again, not even if it was free!

Not the best but also not the worst

It was a prettt basic room. Definitely needed updating. The TV was extremely small. The WiFi was extremely slow (we had to disconnect my son’s iPad and our streaming stick we take with us) because the wifi was so awful and never had this issue with other hotels. At check out we alerted the front desk that there was literally no water pressure in the sink. Barely anything to even wash our hands (I wish I was exaggerating). We also had to alert the front desk that the faucet in the bathtub was about to come ont of the wall. (The front desk lady stated something about damage from a prior person but definitely from poor maintenance). It was clean. But my question is that, how did housekeeping not notice these big issues with no water pressure and the faucet? The curtains leaked a ton of light in the morning also, which woke our son up extremely early.

By 8am everything was empty and not being restocked. Couldn't find anyone to restock the breakfast. But when it was time to check out there was someone available.

The Baymont is a great property. We especially liked the breakfast options and our room. Our only issue was the pool area — there is an “exit” door in the pool area to a smoking area outside. The door itself slams shut every time someone goes through the door, so hard, that I was waiting for the glass on the door to break. It is in indoor pool so the slam echoed very loudly. It was extremely bothersome. One night, I was in the pool area near the door for about an hour and a half, and that door must have slammed shut 2-3 dozen times! I called the front desk the next day and asked if they could fix the closing mechanism so the door would not continue to slam. She said they would have it looked at asap, but by the time we left (days later), it still hadn’t been fixed (and they have a maintenance person who lives onsite). Also, I let the front desk person know that marijuana was also being smoked outside that back door (which is illegal in Indiana), but she didn’t seem to care much.

The positive, Close to Holiday World. After long day got to room. Although no emergency happened the smoke detector just had wires hanging out. When turned back the covers blood on the sheets. The room and hallway smelled musky, Only one person working the desk.
The breakfast, options are fine for continental but it was ran chaotically. They didn’t keep what was offered filled, such as eggs & sausage. I truly sound like a complainer but typically I rarely do. For the price of the room and the brand of hotel, I expected more.

We had a decent room to lay our heads after driving fifteen minutes back from Holiday World. The shower, toilet, sink, fridge, and AC all worked well. The bathroom needs some work to be more presentable, but it met our needs.
The breakfast was decent. We enjoyed the waffles. The sausage looked a little odd so we didn’t try it. Would prefer milk in its original containers instead of pitchers so we could see the expiration date. Small carton milk like at schools would be preferred. The coffee was not good. It was bitter and the creamer didn’t help. There was only half and half, which is ok with good coffee, but when it’s not good coffee I would prefer flavored creamer. There wasn’t a Starbucks or any other coffee spot nearby so we attempted to make the most of it.
The employees are all nice. Helpful, smiled, and provided a good experience. One suggestion…if you are running a hotel in an English speaking country it would be beneficial to you to be more fluent in English. Again, all of the employees were good, communication was just a little difficult.

The toliet did not work most of the time. I ended up taking the lid to the tank off the toliet and flushed it that way.
The hotel lobbey smelled. The stairway to get to our room also smelled. The elevator made a loud nosie every time it went up. It scared my entire family. The mini fridge was not cold. I had to atore my food in a cooler. I am glad I brought a cooler.
The pool had a layer of flim around it. The ladder in the deep end only had one step. It would of been nice if there was a bathroom in the pool area.
We only stayed here because it was not too far from Holiday World. I think it was also over priced for all the issues we had.

We walked into our room and immediately saw a bed bug crawling on the pillow on the bed. We went to request another room in which they accommodated only to find bed bugs on the walls, under the sheets and in the bathroom. The room was completely infested. The front desk lady was very understanding but when calling the owner or manager they seemed to be resisting her giving us a refund. We will not return to this location on the future.

This property is rundown and poorly cleaned. Leaky faucets, broken pieces in the shower, broken fridge, long hairs left behind from previous guests. Booking through this site apparently meant that I couldn’t alter my reservation without cancelling entirely and rebooking which led to a much higher nightly price than when I originally booked. Others in my group had obviously stained bedding and no a/c. Would not stay here again.

Check in I had to use the phone to call and when got to the front he helped the people who was walking up after me like I wasn’t standing there … the bathroom had mold on the ceiling and walls, towels smelt like cigarette smoke had to as for more … 2nd day they suggest to set out the trash and towels to be taken out and towels replaced well they took the trash and towels but never gave any towels back … breakfast was actually ok not bad to be free and the women who kept it stocked was nice… night time kids running up and down halls all night and hitting walls… the gym the treadmill was out of order and the bike was missing pedals…

The lobby and hallway smelled terrible a mix of chlorine and mold. Our room was right next to the pool and we could hear the kids screaming non stop. There was no soap in the bathroom, and took 45 minutes to get someone to come fix our tv. Lastly, I called and asked about a deposit for the room. I was told there was not one and my card will be charged at check in. I was charged half the amount before I even arrived. The communication was not the best.

Quick and easy check-in. Front desk worker said our room number aloud in front of other guests. Comforter has multiple brown stains, but smelled clean. Dehumidifier in the room, that was awesome during the heat wave. On day 2 our room keys stopped working, went to the front desk to get them fixed, the worker did not ask for any ID, I just said the room number and that the keys were not working, and he fixed them quickly. Didn't ask for the name, nothing. This is a pretty massive safety concern for me. Later asked to speak with his manager, but apparently there was no manager on site. Wifi didn't work at all, even on their TV, on their TV channels. Breakfast had good selection, but they did not keep it stocked at all. Main lobby smelled like stale bud light the whole time. Pool was either poorly maintained salt water, or just didn't have enough chlorine to smell or taste. You could not see your feet under you in the pool. Was in a good location for holiday world, and relatively cheap, but for $120 a night for a double queen, it was lacking in safety and cleanliness.

Rooms stunk of mildew and ammonia. There were actually two rooms we were shown. Every room including a third one had a dehumidifier in it. The air in the last room was damp as well. With someone having bronchial issues, these conditions were not healthy nor conducive. When the on duty manager was told about the odor, I saw him spraying something in the hallway to mask the smell.
The carpet was not clean as shoes stuck to it. There was black mold in the shower. When taking a hand towel off the towel rack, the towel rack came off the wall.

Upon check in the staff was oblivious to my presence at the desk when arriving inside. Check in was normal. However the room was dirty. Non vacuumed floors, dog hair on pillows and bed, shower curtain had tons of staining and terrible smell throughout the room.
Went to request another room per the one I checked into was disgusting, they said “we need photos and proof” but then proceeded to come to the room with my family inside. The staff took photos with us inside because they didn’t believe our photos. Then we were given a new room.. there was no fur/hair we had seen, but stains on all the bedding and pillow cases. The smell was the same in the second room.
We stayed here last year and had no issues and everything was clean, this year has been a horrible experience and we won’t be back.

Mediocre at best. The main complaint is the smell of the place. The odor in the lobby hits you and then on the 2nd floor, a musty chemical smell. The room did not smell however. Thankfully it was juat one night.

Family members were stared down and harassed by front desk clerk when entering on the next morning. He followed them to the elevator demanding the room number of the room. When we got upstairs, the key cards were deactivated. Had to go back down and get them corrected. Same rude man who obviously didn't take too kindly to African American guests! Had to speak with supervisor regarding this unacceptable behavior!

Dirty, dingy, and smelly!

Towels and sheets were all stained. Sheets appeared yellow. Floors were dirty. Entire building was very poor smelling and musty. Had to wait 10 minutes at check in for an attendant. They only showed after us calling from the courtesy phone. Hot breakfast was literally 1 scrambled egg.

Room was very run down, sink was stained and the paint peeling in the room and bathroom. There were only 6 working television channels and the vending machine was nearly emptied of drinks. The ONLY options to eat are Denny’s and Wendy’s. They are NOT within walking distance and there is no gas station, or small store to shop at. The one staff member was very kind and the pool area was well-maintained.
