The room was nice and clean. Our only complaint is we were on the 2nd floor and I'm not sure what was going on the 3rd floor but there was constant stomping or running well into wee hours of the night. Nothing that the hotel could have done as it was fellow guests. The staff was incredibly helpful with towels, drinks, and room key issues. The pool was a strange shade, but it was a nice temperature. The breakfast was expansive but the seating area was highly competitive as breakfast went down fairly early, we only took advantage 1 of the 3 nights we stayed. All in all a decent stay.

The room was clean enough but I didn’t love that the shower curtain was turning pink at the bottom from mildew. There was a stain in the carpet in the middle of our room. I can overlook both of those things. The mattresses are terribly uncomfortable. We stayed here last year and had the same problem. The price is decent though so we will probably stay again next year for our Holiday World trip.

Not terrible but not amazing. Our room had broken things in the bathroom that seemed like easy fixes for maintenance. Also we asked the front desk for a band aide and they couldn’t even find one. That didn’t seem right. I was confused by the sign on our bathroom door saying to keep it closed or we’d set off the smoke detector. Nobody could explain that to me.
3/5 overall. Could have been worse but could have been a lot better.

As we planned to go to Holiday World for Father’s Day weekend, we chose the Comfort Inn Ferdinand location because it was a bit closer to the parks than hotels in Jasper, as well as a slightly better price tag, although I still can’t believe we spent $450 for 2 nights at this hotel. The room upon first entry was fairly clean, although the carpet was worn with sticky spots in some places. A sign was on the bathroom door asking guests to keep bathroom door shut so as not to trigger the fire alarm, somehow. This made the bathroom an oven because of lack of circulation. Bathroom also did not have a fan in it. The wallpaper in there was visibly peeling off the walls. Hot water ran out between our family of 4 taking turns to shower. After a long day at the parks, our room was not attended to. Trash remained in the trash bins, dirty diapers and all, bed unmade, no fresh towels replaced. My husband went to the front desk for more towels and the lady there said they were completely out of towels and had more in the dryer and to check back in 30 minutes, which was inconvenient for us trying to get littles bathed and in bed after a long day. Breakfast was served, but was just okay. The surrounding area is also a bit of a food desert. You have to go to Jasper to eat anyways. My recommendation—for a little bit more money, you’d get a better hotel experience as well as more food options for your family if you just stay in Jasper.

The guy that checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. The girls in the mornning didn't acknowledge us. The room was very clean and comfortable. We missed breakfast because of the time--thought Central and it was Eastern--maybe staff could advise at check-in. But maybe our fault. It was a very nice place to stay.

It was just me and my wife, but there were several families staying there over the weekend as well. The indoor pool was a hit. It was occupied the entire weekend, so my wife and I never got a chance to enjoy that. The arcade was a fun little touch too! The front desk attendants were all very friendly, even keeping the breakfast open late for us when our phones didn't adjust to the time change.

Our room was not ready when we arrived, TWO HOURS after the posted check in time of 3pm. Pool area was very dark. Very few pool towels available. When we finally got settled and into bed due to late check in and a quick trip to the pool, we noticed that the platform under the 2nd bed was broken. My husband was not able to lay inbthe bed without basically catapulting me out of the bed. It was 2am and we had sleeping kids. We opted to sleep 3 to one bed and him in the broken bed on the non-broken side. The morning staff member was doing his best to keep breakfast moving, but it was very busy and tight quarters. Overall, Im insanely thankful it was just one night between our visits to Holiday World.... but we will definitely not be back.

Hotel would not take care of issues which were outrageously loud people throughout the hotel. Kids screaming, running down the hall, slamming doors. Couldn’t get on elevator because kids were playing on it. You tell the desk and they don’t care or do anything about it. Nice hotel for the most part just incompetent people running it.

I was a little hesitant to book given the mixed reviews, but we ended up having a wonderful 3 night stay! The room was clean, the staff were absolutely amazing—one of the employees must have worked straight through shifts because he was there first thing in the morning and still there late at night, always friendly and helpful. The lobby was warm and inviting. We did have some trouble with our key cards not working when we returned at night (which seems to be a common issue), but it certainly wouldn’t stop us from coming back. The location is great—close to Holiday World and the Santa Claus Museum.

When we checked in to our rooms we were settling in and there were ants all over one of the beds. We moved the mattress to see stains and candy causing the ants. I have video and photos. We told the front desk and they didn't seem too concerned. It was more of them saying oh we have 1 room left it is a king suite. We said okay (but had adjoining room originally) only one room could be upgraded.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing stay – would not return

When we first arrived, before even entering the building, there was a strong bleach smell outside. It got even worse once we walked through the main doors and continued into our room. The odor was so overwhelming it gave me a headache and made my throat hurt. We asked to move rooms, and the second floor was slightly better, but the smell was still noticeable.

The room itself had multiple issues. The microwave did not work, the armchair was not very clean, and the office chair at the desk would not stay up — it would slowly sink all the way to the floor every few seconds. The beds were extremely hard, and the feather pillows were so small and uncomfortable that they felt like little rocks. The comforters even had stains on them.

The bathroom water temperature was great — nice and hot — but the water pressure in the shower was terrible. It’s also ridiculous that there’s no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Because of this, you have to keep the bathroom door closed or the steam sets off the fire alarm — which is exactly what happened at 5:30 AM on the day we were leaving, waking everyone up.

The cleanliness throughout the hotel was very poor. The dining area was covered in syrup — on the tables and all over the floor. The elevator had popcorn in it the first day and was never cleaned. Later, there were wrappers and even spilled coffee in the elevator and by the front entrance doors, none of which were ever cleaned up during our sta

This place should be pulled off of Orbitz. Hard to imagine this place has a certificate of occupancy.

Wi-Fi sucked, sometimes ok, sometimes sucked bad. I measured less than 1 Mbps upload/download at times using Internet speed tests.

The bathroom door had to remain shut all the time otherwise the fire alarm will go off (as per the permanent sign on the bathroom door). Not a temporary problem. The fire alarm goes off from the humidity in the shower - so they ordered signs that were permanently attached to the bathroom door. So the heat/AC for the room does not control the temperature in the bathroom. Bathroom has no working exhaust...after one quick shower the bathroom is a sauna.

Hot water inconsistent. I was told they had a huge hot water tank, but when I took a shower in the evening the water was warm.

Breakfast was less than average. They water down the waffle mix (same waffle mix & machine that you see at every hotel). No danish or rolls or donuts.

The employees park in the (Diamond, etc) members parking spots.

Breakfast is over at 9am.

Great place for a short visit.

My family and I arrived on Saturday, for a family reunion. This hotel was conveniently located and well kept. At the last minute our granddaughter wanted to stay with us, so the staff brought us a cot. We found the staff (Joe, Khesha, and Anna) to be top notch. Thank you for your hospitality

Don’t fall for the 8+ star rating! DISGUSTING!

The hotel was chosen because of the 8 star review it had on hotels.com but please be warned this is NOT a clean or modern hotel. It was dirty, outdated, and musty. There was foreign hair in our shower and the whole place had a terrible smell. It’s close to holiday world but not worth it for us. We left early and went to the Marriott in Jasper which was a much nicer stay. I’d give zero stars if possible.

The property and the rooms were clean, great location. The only issue was the continental breakfast. They need more helpers. The lady couldn’t keep up. They ran out of everything. There was nothing left by the time the 1 st hour was over. It was poor both days. They couldn’t keep up in the breakfast area and there was like 7 or 8 staff hanging out behind the desk and not one of them tried to help the lady trying to keep the breakfast flowing. There were parents going back in the closet and trying to get milk so the kids could have it with their cereal. It was probably the worst breakfast experience I’ve had at any hotel.

Caulk was cracked all the way around the tub and lots of discolor and mildew on it. Tub drain not functional. Bedding and towels were clean and fresh. I have been to worse but definitely not an 8.8 as rated on Orbitz. I would give it a 6.5 because of the clean linens.

air conditioner was noisy and not working properly. Fire alarm went of at 1:44 in the morning because a button was pushed in the elevator. Bed comforter had food residue on the side down towards the bed. Came back from the day out and none of our room keys worked. This was us and two other families. All the kids hated the Breakfast and said the waffles were disgusting. Pool was not very big and the water looked a little yellow so we did not feel comfortable letting the kids hop in.I would recommend staying somewhere else.

It’s not horrible but not great. Rooms are in need of repair. AC in the room very noisy compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at. Everyone was having issues with their door keys not working while we were there. Beds were comfortable but they tuck 1/2 the sheets under the foot of the bed. You have to damn near remake the bed. Room noise was average (other than the AC). Breakfast wasn’t bad. Staff was ok. They kept having “computer issues” during check in and took a long time. For the price… you get what ya pay for.

The only thing that I liked was that it was close to Holiday world. We took 5 kids and I requested adjoining rooms 3 times. Requested it online and called and spoke to staff directly twice. They told me to call the morning of check in because that is when they assign rooms. Did that. Long story short, did not get adjoining rooms. That made our night very difficult with 5 young kids. Dryer was broken, which would have been a big deal, but a staff worker offered to dry our clothes for us. Rooms weren’t the cleanest but beds seemed clean and had comfortable pillows.
