This hotel is amazing the staff make the stay just perfect. There is Roberta on Reception from the moment we arrived looked after us, then Biaggio the waiter was extremely attentive the Tapas at lunch are amazing, the drinks in the mini bar are complementary a nice touch, the manager was very nice but our driver in the free shuttle was fantastic we will definitely be back with our friends. Beautiful exclusive feel in fantastic position near Marina Grande in Capri, 2 mins walk from Paolinos.
Immaculate gardens with an abundance of beautiful flowers and lemon trees. Outside dining area amongst the lemon trees. Incredible food served in restaurant with fabulous local produce and attention to detail. Excellent clean and heated pool with extremely comfy sunbeds.
Staff AMAZING! They go the extra mile and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Having stayed in many top hotels in the world would say Villa Marina service is some of the best we have experienced and we were even given a beautiful pot as a leaving gift.

We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back, but feel we should mention that the bedrooms are not up to the same standard as the public areas and could do with upgrading, in particular our pillows were old and lumpy! We also had a lack of hot water for the duration of our stay.
Overall a fabulous stay thank you!

The food was exceptional, and when I requested Sri Lankan cuisine, the chef went above and beyond to create a delicious meal for us. The location was perfect, with stunning views and everything within a short distance. The team’s hospitality was truly top-notch.

On our last day, we accidentally left our passports in the room. The team was kind enough to send them to us via hydrofoil, ensuring we didn’t face any inconvenience.

I’d give Villa Marina a 5/5 for everything—excellent service, beautiful location, and heartfelt hospitality. This was a true example of exceptional hospitality. Highly recommend it.

I would like to thank all the staff at this Villa it is truly a 5 star hotel !! The moment you arrive the staff greets you and treat's you so kindly and accommodates your every need !! The shuttle service they offer you from their Villa is excellent !! The rooms are beautiful and clean the grounds of the Villa is perfect ! The morning breakfast delicious !! Room service fantastic not to mention open 24hrs. I can’t emphasize enough the great customer service this hotel has just amazing !! By far our favorite stay visiting Capri. I would personally like to thank Bianca, Roberta and the General Manager of the Villa they are the best !! Thank you for getting us in for another night stay last minute my husband I appreciate you all !!!

Absolutely enchanting honeymoon stay at Hotel Villa Marina in Capri! The Garden Prestige Sea View room offered breathtaking vistas. The free welcome drinks were a delightful touch. Our dinner at ZIQÙ Restaurant on our third night was truly unforgettable - the Mediterranean cuisine surpassed all expectations. From the succulent fish to the delectable beef and divine desserts, every bite was a culinary delight. The appetizers were superb, and the atmosphere added to the magic of the evening. Best hotel stay EVER

Words cannot fully express the exceptional service we received at this hotel. From the front desk who coordinated our transportation from the marina to the hotel - our extremely kind and efficient driver (showed us a short cut to the ferry when we left)… the bartender who practiced future seasonal drinks for us… the restaurant team who doted on us. The spa team who reserved our time (at no additional charge) for the steam/sauna… the general manager who always took time to chat. The view from our room was magical!

A localização do Hotel é muito ruim. Não há nada próximo (onde se possa ir a pé) e, embora o Hotel disponibilize um serviço de motorista, tanto os trajetos quanto os horários são limitados (apenas entre o Hotel e a Marina e entre o Hotel e o Centro de Capri, e até às 22h45min.) Havia uma igreja próxima ao nosso quarto, cujos sinos começavam a bater cedíssimo. Não foi uma boa experiência. Em se tratando de um hotel cobrando 1,4 mil Euros de diária, com uma localização que depende tanto de carro e táxi, há muitas opções melhores em Anacapri. Sugiro ampliar o serviço de transportes e melhorar - bastante - o concierge.

The hotel is very good, but overpriced. It is in a bad location (nothing is walking distance). We had to call taxis for almost everything (spending around 70 Euros per day). They have a driver available, but whose services are limited (only to the Marina and City Centre, and until 10:45 PM). Improving this service would certainly make a huge difference.

This hotel was amazing in every sense! From before we arrived they made sure they contacted me to arrange a pickup from the port. They were very accommodating at check in and gave us an upgrade to our room. They then made nice recommendations for the night and did the booking. When we wanted to check out they booked the ferry for us and provided transport to the town until our ferry time. Then picked us up back with our luggage. What a hotel!

There was a mix up with our reservation where they thought our daughter was one not 9 so initially they asked for 150 euros extra. Not sure if it was Hotels.com fault or the hotel but it slightly ruined the start of the holiday. The hotel provided us with an upgrade and we also paid extra for a better room and although expensive I would not fault the hotel or the staff after that. Breakfast was amazing the pool on the small side but that is Capri for you. Fantastic shuttle service and the staff go above and beyond

Disappointing 5 star hotel stay

In room amenities and water was never replaced during our 4 night stay. The shuttle that has a set schedule switched times despite us calling in advance to schedule leaving us with no option but to pay for a taxi. The shuttle always arrived late and left late despite scheduling in advance. Overall this is not a 5 star hotel. I would give it 3 stars at best.

This is not a 5 star hotel ... we were on honeymoon and my husband ordered champagne on arrival which they forgot and when reminded did nothing about. There were some staff who were lovely but the communication is poor especially around the shuttle service which is so hit and miss we were often left stranded. We paid over 1.000 euros per night and there was no water in the room ... that was an extra 7 euros !!!! Plus if you wanted eggs for breakfast that was an extra 9 euros. We were served lunch without any bread, the orange juice was watered down at least once whilst we were there. All in all this hotel is ridiculously overpriced and would pass as 3 star in the UK !! I would strongly advise against staying here.

As soon as we were picked up at the Marina, we knew we chose the right place. The team makes you feel so special that it adds to the beauty that is Capri. The property is gorgeous and the restaurant is top notch. But, without a doubt, the team that works there is world-class! I will be returning in 2019.

Luxury with horrible service!

You check in, greeted warmly with a smile and a welcome drink. The grounds are breathtaking- you sit down with your drink after seeing your lovely room and would like to order something to eat by the pool or restaurant. You realize your alone. All alone! Where is al the staff at this “ luxury” hotel? Gone. Once we found a waiter he looked dazed and confused. Slowly took our order, and tben disapeared again . When we needed something we had to go ourselves into the kitchen just to find him sitting down - zoned out.
I referred room service - ate on my beautiful balcony.. that night as I went out I told the front desk to please have room cleaned since we had food on the patio. Next morning, I go outside to have my coffee and I see all the old food service still out- ants everywhere! Top it off, I order in more coffee... the server brings to the the same outside table I’m sitting at and proceeds to leave the peanuts on the table and leftovers , ants everywhere and just walks out. After charging me £16 for a tiny cup of coffee!

The hotel “ car”- let me just say this- out friends staying at the quaint boutique hotel to the left of us- had non stop service with a smile.. and a Mercedes car to take them around. We had a battery operated “bike/car”. So sad how much more we paid and got horrible service. Apparently since I’ve mentioned our hotel name locally it’s knows as beautiful with poor service. So I’m here now to spread what the locals now... poor service for high price!

Great Location and Staff Make for Relaxing Stay

Very pleasant stay at Villa Marina. Good location with great views within easy walking distance to the main harbor and a short ride to Capri or longer walk if you are up for it. Room was very clean with good amenities. Staff was very gracious and helpful in making or changing reservations. Great communication to facilitate pick up at the harbor upon arrival. Restaurant was also very nice and worth trying if you have time. No irons in room so prepare for a charge if you need clothes pressed. Also a tendency to recommend higher priced boat excursions when you can do better dealing directly with boat owners at the harbor.

Perfect place to stay in Capri

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights in May. Sadly the weather was awful so we didn't get to enjoy the pool or outside restaurant or the patio area outside our room. However the hotel was lovely. Great touches like biscuits with the turn down service, your slippers by your bed, a free shuttle to the port and Capri and such helpful and friendly staff. Really comfortable beds too and a lovely large bedroom / bathroom and amazing shower. Would definitely recommend and would return without doubt. Best hotel of our trip.

the best place on Capri

I can't say enough good things about Villa Marina. From the staff to the facilities to the location, you cannot do better. My family cannot wait to go back. We travel to many good hotels but they are in the highest level. I am not one to write about stays but I have to tell a story. Carolina who works for the Villa called me after we had checked out and headed to Positano. My wife left a substantial amount of jewelry. Carolina called me and within 2 hours had all of it delivered to us. They would NOT allow us to pay for the delivery charges. Apart from this act, they couldn't have been nicer during our stay. We will return to the Villa and you should to.

A piece of heaven ....

This was great value for money and we were very well looked after. As soon as we arrived we treated like royalty, we have a hand massage and welcome drink. The rooms are outstanding along with the gym.
The view is spectacular
The hotel is located near to the marina but you can easily get a taxi to all parts of the island very easily
The reception team are very knowledgeable on places to go and I would 100% recommend a private boar trip around the island for 2 hours

Staff was helpful but the shuttle service is not regular to pick you up from town. Also the Booking says there is an outdoor and Indoor pool. This is not true.there is just small outdoor Pool. Indoor hot tub that you have to pay for! This should be mentioned in the listing.

The staff were absolutely amazing! Welcome drinks, complimentary champagne (for our honeymoon), always helpful, more than what we had expected. We explored the island and coast quite a bit and this was by far the best place for us. We loved the location, helpful staff and room. We plan to revisit again in the future.

Totally overpriced. Not 5 star experience at all.

This was the one big night of honeymoon & cost a fortune but sadly the experience was hugely disappointing. Several issues with the room and the service weren't addressed and which the hotel quite frankly didn't appear to care:
- Both fridges weren't working.
- TV was advertised with cable channels but didn't work in the bedroom, only on the TV in the other room (and then not all channels worked)
- Bathroom bin broken
- Pool in our suite was dirty and had cobwebs all around the stairs - clearly hadn't been cleaned recently.
- No phone in our bedroom, only downstairs
- Breakfast advertised from 8am, but when we arrived at 8am things weren't ready and we didn't get a coffee or hot food until almost 8.30am, and even then the coffee was cold.

We were there for just one night so before check out I quietly spoke to one of the ladies on reception and detailed all of these issues, she sounded apologetic. Given the string of issues & the fact that it was our honeymoon, I thought at check out it would be right for them to reduce the cost of my wife's massage the previous day. I was told that they couldn't do that. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she'd already spoken to the manager and there would be no discount.

We had paid over $1000 AUD for one night plus 250 EUROs in extras, yet the manager didn't feel it right to come out and speak to me or offer any discount.

The service was totally unacceptable.
This hotel not 5 star.

My advice, don't waste your money here.

A bit \"up itself\"

Whilst the quality, location, cleanliness and aesthetics of the hotel are fantastic, it falls down due to what we felt to be a pretentious and style over substance approach. There are some glaring things that people need to be aware of. For example, I don't expect to pay nearly 600 euro per night to include breakfast but the. Have to pay a supplement for an omelette or toast of 9 euros!! Nor do unthinkably is reasonable or fair to charge 10€ for a bottle of beer!!!!!! Be warned, the hotel is very very expensive. The pool is small but very clean and well presented. The bath in the room is huge and a real feature. We felt the place lacked atmosphere all round, just 22 rooms and while quiet and feeling empty may suit some, for us it lacked a welcoming feel. The menus seem limited so you will probably eat out as well. The taxi / shuttle service is great and very useful. Overall i wasn't knocked out by Capri which also adds to the overall feeling if the hotel and would prefer Sorrento all day long.

We had a fabulous stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Capri. The service is exception and view of the sea is spectacular. The pool was small and ice cold but all other facilities were superb. Breakfast was delicious (especially the cakes and pastries) and we loved the complementary good night cakes in our rooms.

No where near 5 star rating experience

Nice facilities near beach but staff could not possibly be less accommodating and borderline unprofessional. The electricity the first night was out - had to repeatedly ask staff for assistance. Also asked upon check-in for an additional night's stay.. Staff told us a room at a lower quality was available and was told any upgrades would be communicated.. On the next day, we followed up with receptionist, and was given rate and was told no issues with the additional night's stay.. On the morning of our room switch, we were told our room was no longer available without any prior notice. 5 star rating is beyond comprehendible. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Service at the Best Western Syrene (3 star rating - where we luckily found availability) trumped the staff and service we experienced at the Villa Marina.

Close to grand marina and lemon tree restaurant , pool area is tiny if you are up for it.

2 main negatives: on Sunday 9am the cleaners made a lot of noise in corridors looking for cleaning stuff etc.
on restaurant they said ceasar salad but have not ceasar dressing just Mayo ....not cool.

Staying at Villa Marina was a stunning experience -- don't do Capri as a day-trip from the Amalfi Caost or Naples, stay at Villa Marina and really experience this amazingly beautiful island.
The hotel itself is done in mix of modern \"spa\" style and traditional Italian; it is a gorgeous getaway. The rooms are big and bright, each one named after an artist or a person of importance to Capri. The grounds are perfect -- everything is quiet and relaxing, but comfortable and accessible. The breakfasts are astounding, and served in an outdoor area with a great view of the water.
The staff here was remarkable, especially Leslie: she gave us great tips for getting around the island, recommended fantastic places to eat in both Capri Town and Anacapri, and arranged for an amazing boat trip around the island and to the Grotto Azzura. Everything about this place and its people - everything - is the best you can imagine.

Boutique hotel - needs more experience

Need to rely on hotel shuttles and taxis to get around as walking is difficult. Hotel has a very empty feel to it as it is very large but with only 22 rooms. We were put in a room with a wall as a view and no balcony. Most of the hotel staff were very helpful but check in took an awfully long time and it took them 3 attempts to deliver the correct luggage to our room.

The Villa Marina Capri is a very charming boutique hotel. The room was spacious and clean and the service was great. They have some music bands coming the evenings and we particularly enjoyed having a drink listening to the band and admiring the view on the Marina.Everything was great in the hotel, the only downside was when we had to pay for the rooms. They added some fantasy surcharge on the minibar and made us pay the hotel room twice (one through hotels.com one when we did the check-out). We recommend to be really careful with them on this subject.

A wonderful luxury experience

The staff was SO attentive and knowledgabale about the island. Conveniently located. A refuge for the busyness of Capris. Mix of honeymoners (lucky kids) and gentlemn and ladies. Small number of rooms (22 I think) and high saff to guest ratio made it intimately comfortable. After a few days you could have mixed with everyone. Incredible grounds and amenity rich environment. Definitely will come back for more.and reccomednd to our friends.

The room was great, the breakfast delicious, the only problem was the atitude with the hotel employees except for the shuttle driver.they have a shuttle that pics you up in the marina so be sure to call them before you arrive, dont take a taxi they drive like crazy. Be sure to visit anacapri too it is the best view in the whole island.

looking forward to our next stay at Villa Marina

We thought we'd treat ourselves by booking a room at Villa Marina, after seeing it listed as 1 of the top 25 hotels recommended on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed.
THE GOOD: close to Marina Grande, so much so you can reach it on foot (5-10 min walk when alighting from the boat). Very professional staff & discreet presence, so you can really feel at home. Regular hotel shuttle service to/from Capri. We booked with a discounted rate through Hotels.com, so got 1 of the smallest rooms, with no sea view. Loved it all the same: great interior design, sizeable terrace, with a power socket & excellent WiFi connection.
THE VERY GOOD: Wonderful view over the bay (marina, Vesuvio, Napoli). Cleverly arranged garden, allowing guests to always find a corner for themselves on 1 of the outdoor sofas/hammocks/deck chairs. The wellness centre. Free on the day of your arrival. Thoroughly recommend allowing some time for this!
THE NOT SO PERFECT: a matter of personal taste, but the music, which you can hear from all outside areas (pool, garden, restaurant) sounded like lift music, playing cover versions of overly popular songs. Ziqu (hotel's restaurant): good food, but no surprises. We dined at Villa Crespi (2 Michelin stars near Lake Orta) earlier this year, where they serve you a meal you will never forget for the same price. Then again, prices are on average 20-30% higher around the Amalfi Coast, so this is more to do with having the right expectations when booking a table.

Hotel close to the harbor

I booked this hotel as it was the best price in the generally over-priced area of Capri (which I will probabaly never visit again given the dissapointment of the blue grotto, price for value and endless tourists). The hotel's location is close to the harbor, hence I don't think they would get too many clients without their free shuttle van service to the center of town (20Euros in regular taxi - if the driver refuses to use the meter which they did several times during our stay). The hotel amenities reminded me of IKEA furniture and not a 5 star quality and our room had no view. Moreover, the small pool is dissappointing and breakfast is very generic, at best. The good part of this stay was that the room was OK for the price that you pay (I believe it was 400USD) and all the employees were super nice and attentive.

great place, some issues need improvement

This is a nice 5 star hotel; the pros: great views of the marina grande and bay of naples, rooms are of decent size, breakfast included and is excellent; also dinner experience was absolutely great, food tastes heavenly here; beds are fairly comfortable, there is free wifi; walkable to marina grande. Cons: the shuttle van operates on a schedule and at times you may have to wait for it, though not very long. It would have been best if it operated on demand for such a hotel, since 4 star hotels in the area have vans that operate on demand; heating may be an issue here, even though it was end of May when we went there, weather has not been warm; for some reason, their A/C/heating unit couldn't get any warm air even after our request; the thermostat doesn't work if you want to set it up higher. For a 5 star hotel, I expect them to have heating and A/C options available 365 days a year and not having to call the front desk multiple times. A big miss for a 5 star hotel.

Superb choice in Capri!

A fantastic experience, lovely environment where you can fully relax and enjoy your stay. Friendly staff especially the younger lady who was superb! Fantastic breakfast! One small thing, they might want to do more with the bar as this is a nice area but mostly without staff which makes it uninviting. Also no alcohol in the minibar is a minor point as that should not happen in a 5 star resort!
