Best hotel in a long time! Or ever! Breakfast was included and had a fabulous variety of food, excellent coffee, large breakfast room! Seriously since the pandemic hotel breakfasts have declined a great deal but this one is excellent! Staff member who checked us in was so helpful, friendly and efficient and spoke to us in English when we really needed it. The hotel is beautifully decorated with Indigenous artwork and some rooms have been given Indigenous names. Our room was clean. Bed was comfortable. And best shower ever! Two shower heads, one magnetic and removable, excellent pressure! Seriously so impressed with this hotel ! When we visit cote nord again, we will make this one of our stays again for sure!!!

We were kind of stuck in the city due to bad weather at our final destination. This hotel was the only option avaible at the time and since there was a huge festival going on they charged close to 400$ per night which was an exorbitant amount. Check out time is great and the breakfast was loaded! I would stay here again for the breakfast and clean rooms but only if their nightly prices were more affordable

We were impressed with our stay! The hotel is conveniently located, most things are within walking distance. Sometimes the shower water temperature would become too hot or cold, but it was manageable. The hotel was very clean and the staff was pleasant, and the breakfast buffet included in the price was great.

L’hôtel avait promis un déjeuner lors de la négociation des chambres. Il n’y avait pas de déjeuner comme tel, seulement du café, sans tasse propre, et du pain congelé. L’employée à la cuisine était désagréable et s’est volatilisée lorsque les clients posaient des questions. La jeune employée à la réception n’avait eu aucune information ni consigne et ne savait pas comment rejoindre un superviseur. Elle était seule dans l’hôtel qui était à pleine capacité et ne pouvait répondre à aucune question. C’était très décevant pour les clients qui arrivaient des quatre coins du Québec!

Was there for 2 nights in May- No breakfast served during a volleyball tournament although confirmation of breakfast inclusion in price. They opened the breakfast and after 30 min there wasn’t even a piece of bread, coffee cups, etc only yogourts! We were told no breakfast served next morning that we had to do own arrangements. 1 girl only in all hotel . No manager or supervisor and kept saying I don’t know to any question. They often had ‘back in 15 min’. Sign up at reception. We’re told Hotel was sold out at checkin.
Person on strength knew nothing unable to answer any question nor resolve any problem. No toilet paper nor Kleenex in room. No room cleaning just 1 towel drop.

All customers were upset and had to spend many hours on phone to get choice hotels complaint number. We’re getting the run around at each number called. At the end got message that closed til Monday.

Never going there again! Real stain on quality inn chain. Should reimburse customers!!!!

Rude, Condescending Staff

The Quality Inn Sept Iles hotel looks appealing from the outside. It is a new building in the parking lot of the town's biggest mall. Having a 24-hour Walmart next door was quite nice as I needed a few essentials for my travels.

Check in was unpleasant and inhospitable. There was a ‘Back in Five Minutes’ notice on the counter. I waited about ten, but needed a pee, so went to the toilet. When I returned I said good evening to the woman who now sat behind the reception desk, but she was busy playing solitaire, so did not bother to look up.

As I approached the desk I said that I have a reservation. At that, an annoyed face looked up at me and uttered, very sharply, “What?” Each question was met with the same, unfriendly, response.

What inspires hotel operators to hire such rude, condescending people to manage their guests’ first experience on arrival?

The hotel itself is bog-standard. There is nothing special about it. It is functional and clean, but rather dark considering how new it is.

at 11.05hrs the cleaner knocked on my door to ask when I would be leaving. Why? Checkout was midday. Another example of employee rudeness!

Breakfast was uninspiring, but it was here that I experienced my first smile from a Quality Inn Sept-Iles hotel employee, so that was a plus.

I would not stay at this hotel again.

We stayed one night on a road trip through the North Shore. This hotel is one of the best economy chain hotels we have stayed at. It is a new hotel, the room was spacious and well equipped. The floor covering was laminate which we prefer over carpet. Service staff were very helpful with dining options. The bed was comfortable and the sheets had that crisp clean feel. Best part was the included breakfast. The variety and quality of items offered was the best we have experienced in this category of hotel. Try the cretons if you have never had them before. If I'm ever this way again, this is the hotel I would stay at. I wish all chain hotels were as good as this one!

I will start by saying I am not a fussy person nor am I new at traveling. Stay in hotels all over the world. This particular one is a new hotel with a nice aboriginal touch to the decor, original artwork in lobby all very impressive. Rooms were comfortable and clean linens were crisp white. The problem with this new nice hotel is the staff. From the first moment we sneered the lobby we were greeted with a stern cold face. We were surprised because I go out of my way to be polite and friendly. It was an appalling rude attitude for the 3 nights we stayed. And breakfast well there is an empty fruit bowl (actually the same lonely apple for 3 days) and the bus girl enjoyed throwing every plate in the diningroom into her bin perhaps to make sure we were really awake. It's a shame that these local people were not able to crack a friendly smile. As I explained to the receptionist:they're free and worth a fortune!

New hotel, caring management, good location

Only opened since May 2015, this Quality Inn was pleasant with new decor, state-of-the-art amenities and security. The manager, as he went about his work in the facility, was sincere in asking for feedback. He appears to be a high quality individual who wants to meet all the needs of travelers using this Inn. We felt that one of the receptionists had great difficulty with English and could not juggle the responsibilities of her position with ease or courtesy. But the individual on a later shift was terrific. Perhaps the afternoon person needs more training, or juggle employee shifts to provide more responsive coverage during high traffic times. Real nice experience!
