The room wasn’t very clean.
The washroom exhaust fan wasn’t working and when we brought this up to the staff they gave a stupid reason of the hotel being old.
No action was taken. Almost 2 days we stayed in the same room. It was super unhygienic when we used the restroom. The moisture and odour never went away.
Wouldn’t recommend this place. :(

The photos on Expedia looked much better than the actual stay. This is really more of an old motel than a hotel. We were automatically placed in the older section, and when we tried to pay extra to upgrade, there was no availability left.

The soundproofing was extremely poor — you could hear the upstairs water running like it was dripping directly into the room, and conversations from neighboring rooms were clearly audible. The walls and floors felt very thin. Cleanliness was also below expectations.

There were also many people hanging around outside smoking marijuana or acting strangely around the parking area, which did not feel very comfortable or safe. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience and we would not stay here again.

A lot of stairs - if you have a lot of luggage ask for a ground level room. Pool was heated and clean. Breakfast was ok - wish there was a better protein than cold boiled eggs that you’re not allowed to heat up in the microwave but there was also bagels, toast, cereal, bananas, apples and muffins. Plus coffee, tea and juice. Staff was excellent. Definitely an ok option for value and location.

Property is dirty. Cigarette butts and broken glass all over, so we had to be extra cautious taking our dog out. Parking not ideal. I wouldn’t say they have enough spaces for how many rooms or possibly locals take the spots and it’s not monitored so you need to secure a spot early and leave the vehicle. Neighbourhood seemed a little run down. Bed was broken and uncomfortable, and the bathtub leaked. Staff were friendly. The complimentary breakfast was beans, bagels and boiled eggs both days, so basic.

Yes, the room was great & spotless, staff very courteous. Continental breakast was quite good: coffee, tea, juice, breads, bagels, muffins, cereals, very good Boston style pork & beans!. The pool was especially nice and I had it all to myself!
It's quite close to the bus into Québec City.
It's a pet friendly hotel and we heard a few seconds of barking, but overall it was a quiet and wonderful stay. 2 close-by affordable restaurants and bakeries nearby, and drugstore nearby. Seemed like a nice area, felt safe walking.

Great staff! Super friendly and helpful. The room was nice with super comfortable beds. And the hotel was situated for easy access to the heart of town. And... the furniture was worn, the people in the room next door could be heard clearly, there's only one way to get into the hotel (not fun if parking in the back), and the breakfast offerings were meager (though okay in a pinch). No temperature control in the rooms either. With that said I'd stay again with modified expectations.

Room was clean. It was very quiet. Only reason Im not giving 5 stars is on second night they was a smell of cigarette across the hall and when mentioned to staff they blamed it on outside. No air freshner or attempt on preventing it. It smelled strong the whole evening until next morning.

Awful. No tile in the lobby with no signage. Looked run down from the moment you walk in. The room was clean but the beds were old and uncomfortable. You could feel the springs in the mattress. One bed nearly flipped over when we sat on it because it wasn’t sturdy. The breakfast was awful. Felt like it was a prison breakfast with beans and somewhat toasted toast. Hallways smelled dank. It’s not a hotel, it’s a motel. Definitely had the vibe of a place that charges by the hour.

J’ai séjourné une nuit à l’hôtel Le Voyageur le 27 septembre 2025.

Côtés positifs: l’hôtel est facile d’accès et propose plusieurs espaces de stationnement gratuits. L’accueil est ouvert 24h/7, ce qui est pratique pour un check-in après un mariage au milieu de la nuit. Le personnel est très aimable et professionnel. Les chambres sont d’une bonne taille, avec air climatisé et mini frigo. Le déjeuner libre-service offre quelques options simples comme toasts, céréales, bagels, muffins, bananes et fèves au lard.

Côtés négatifs: la chambre #246 et la zone d'accueil auraient grandement besoin d’amour. La déco était vieillotte et usée, la chambre très sombre avec seulement deux petites lampes et aucun plafonnier. Le bouton de l’échangeur d’air de la salle de bain était brisé, laissant une mauvaise odeur d’humidité. Impossible d’ouvrir la fenêtre pour aérer, son mécanisme étant lui aussi brisé. Deux graffitis étaient en plus visibles près du lavabo. Les autres chambres entrevues semblaient en meilleur état, ce qui rend étonnant qu’on m’ait attribué celle-ci.

Le tarif de 138$ tout inclus est très abordable comparé à d’autres établissements. Je ne m’attendais donc pas au luxe, mais vu les problèmes rencontrés, je ne reviendrai pas à cet hôtel.

Spacious, quiet room with good size fridge and comfortable bed. Close access to #800 bus stop 20 minutes West to Quebec City Center and 15 minutes East to spectacular Montmorency waterfalls. Large supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast included was a bonus. Excellent value and reasonable price for a popular tourist destination
