Yes, the room was clean and spacious, made our stay very comfortable. All staff were friendly and helpful. One comment though is that staff should learn more about giving information accurately especially on schedules of sight seeing tours for tourists like us.

The room seemed very clean and equipped. Deco is a little dated, the AC/heating system may need an upgrade. Mercifully we were in Nice in the autumn. The breakfast was included, nice surprise, and had cold cuts, fruit, cereals as expected. No fuss. Plus a fresh squeeze orange machine. Fun. Check in was a bit chaotic with the number of people but the staff tried their very best. Location is excellent. Next to port, the old town and right on Place du Pin. Perfect for a bite and a brew on your soorstep. Generally good value.

I had a great stay at the Ibis Vieux Nice. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit — always welcoming and ready to assist with anything we needed.

The location was excellent: just far enough from the busiest tourist areas to feel relaxed, yet still within easy walking distance (10–15 minutes) to everything in the Old Town and the port. Plus, having Line 2 of the tram bring us from the airport to within a 2-minute walk of the hotel was a huge bonus — very convenient.

While the hotel is showing a bit of wear — including some peeling paint on the shower ceiling — and the beds aren’t the most luxurious, everything was clean and functional. For the price and location, it was absolutely worth it, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Property is in need of renovation and updating. Everything is falling apart, from the locks and doors to the furniture and shower head. Bathroom mouldy and small. Everything is below basic, towels, bedding and breakfast. Even the toilet paper will not be replaced until the last square is used.

The hotel was great with a short walk to the old town. The room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was fine. Front staff were very helpful and extremely approachable. Parking is tight and suited for smaller cars but we got our Ford Kuga in. Location was very quiet. Breakfast had a lot of options.

Location is super because it is near Port Lympa (400m walk with elevator) which takes you to airport direct. In the other direction is the old town (10 min walk). Food can be expensive in Nice but just round the corner are decent cheaper and good stuff. Supermarket is 200m. Breakfast is good. Room is barebones almost like a dorm. We stayed in triple room which is size of standard room. But room works and quiet enough. My backup choice if I return.

This property is very “bare bones” as far as the rooms go. They are small but adequate but without any amenities.

Check in was quick and easy. We forgot our adapter for my husband’s C-Pap machine and they didn’t have a US adapter which was disappointing.

Location is very convenient to the Old Port and the Old Town. There are lots of bars and restaurants just around the corner. The included breakfasts were god. We would stay there again for an overnight now knowing what to expect.

Convenient Location, but Room for improvement

I recently stayed at the ibis Styles Nice Vieux-Port and wanted to share my experience. The hotel's location by the port was fantastic, with restaurants, bars, Carrefour, Garibaldi Square, and Ponchettes Public Beach all within walking distance. The availability of covered parking, albeit at a cost of Euro 17 per day, was a convenient feature. However, it's advisable to reserve in advance and inform them about the size of your vehicle, as some parking spaces can be tight.
The staff at the hotel were truly amazing, with a special mention to Omar. Their friendliness and helpfulness made our stay more enjoyable.
While the location and staff were excellent, I must mention that the hotel itself needs some attention. The room we stayed in had a tired bathroom, a broken door handle, and a broken shower head. Additionally, the carpet in the corridor on the third floor emitted an unpleasant odor.
During our first night, the air conditioning in our room was broken, and we discovered empty hair and body gel containers, along with towels that had mold on them. However, after contacting the staff via email to request a deep cleaning of the room, these issues were promptly rectified.
We stayed at the hotel for five days and had breakfast there for four of those days. Unfortunately, the breakfast options became monotonous, and it would be great if they could switch things up a bit.

Great location, near the tram stop and as close as you need to be to keep vieux Nice, Le Port etc; great little area with lots of restaurants. The hotel is fine for a 3 star hotel. The rooms are a decent size, the bathrooms could do with a face lift but overall clean and functional. Breakfast is also good and efficient. Service is friendly. The only criticism I have as a female travelling there on my own is the lack of security. No one checks people coming in, you can access all floors without a key and there is no chain on the doors once you are inside. The safe inside the room doesn’t work unless you pay for an additional key held at reception (I’ve never seen this in many years of travelling). Please fix the security issue - otherwise this is a really great, convenient budget hotel.

Due to a cancelled flight to Nice, I was unable to check-in to this hotel. I called Expedia, and they said that the hotel would not refund me for my first night (prepaid). Fortunately, due to Expedia’s policy, and the fact that I was not able to fly to Nice, I was able to get a refund for the next two nights. When I wrote to the hotel regarding my distaste for their “decision,” they replied with a smart-ass comment; blaming everything on Expedia. They even tried to make it seem like they did me a favor. I will never prepay with a hotel like this ever again.

Nice is a great place for a city break.

IBIS STYLES is near old town and port. Like the coffee and tea provided inside entrance. Our room had an inefficient extractor in toilet, so smells lingered. There are no drink making facilities in rooms. No minibar/fridge either, so keeping your own drinks cold is problematic. Many restaurants in vicinity. Something for everyone, although in general eating out in Nice is dearer than in UK.

Unfortunately the disabled car parking is not given only to badge holders. All parking is allocated first come first served. Even though I had a passenger with a wheelchair. I had to unload and leave her in the parking road while I parked the car.
When I asked why it was not only for
Disabled guests.
I received a shrug of the shoulders and “what can I do?”
Overall the hotel
Is good value. But some staff were disappointing in their attitude to service.

It was a great experience. I had 8 foreign clients with me. I would bring them back again. The Vieux Port was close enough to walk to and the Promenade des Anglais was just after that. It was the perfect location. We had restaurants near by, a Carrefour, and even a really well taken care of laundromat.
