Some of the reviews we've seen about this resort made us nervous but our experience traveling from Canada with an 8 year old and a 5 year old was very positive.

We were especially impressed by how helpful and friendly everyone was.

We stayed in a Flate Swim Up Suite. The room was huge with sliding doors that closed between the bedroom and living space. It felt like we had two completely separate bedrooms with a huge bathroom. The swim up option was great for slow mornings or a bit of down time late in the day.

We were able to interact with SO many characters. I was impressed that the Nickelodeon recreation staff would offer to take photos with our phones to avoid having to purchase the pictures from the professional photographer.

Although there were lots of people around, the resort never felt overly packed and we were able to do and see everything we wanted. There were always chairs available at the pool/beach/waterpark and people naturally coming and going throughout the day.

I understand why reviewers are hard on the food. It wasn't great but there were always options. The a la carte restaurants were fine but we stuck to the buffet for the most part so we weren't tied to a specific reservation time to eat.

My advice - pay the extra and GET SLIMED! The experience was so fun and memorable for the kids and adults alike. Once again - the staff took my phone and videoed the whole thing so we have it to keep. So fun!

Hi, I have a little encounter at the front desk with the worker Felipe(Language Barrier) Jordan’s, He didn’t want check me out all because of a situation with a birthdate breakfast that my daughter book. I Zelle the money to my daughter. So the shuttle took a lot longer to get to front desk so my daughter could pay for breakfast, I told him let my daughter tap one payment, he let her tap two time with international fees. Then when I try explain they brush me off with there Dominican accent, never believe that my child will pay, they treat classy black folks rude. I start arguing with him,his understanding skills is poor, the front seat should hve fluent English and Spanish so I rate front desk 0/10. Do not let prestige trick u, nd premium also drop me at the wrong terminal A instead of B, I got walk to my terminal, stressful airport front desk, sad hve nice day

Overall we enjoyed our stay. I would rate it 4-4.5 out of 5 stars. Staff was friendly enough, sometimes they might come off as dry but it might be a language barrier or cultural difference thing. Food was okay. I liked the local Dominican food best. Big waves which our family loved.

From the moment I arrived at the hotel, the experience was unacceptable. I had to wait in line for over 40 minutes just to check in, while only two people were working at the front desk. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this category.

When it was finally my turn, the staff member who assisted me was extremely rude and unprofessional. He barely greeted me, showed no interest in welcoming me, and simply rushed through basic information with a bored, irritated expression. There was absolutely no sense of hospitality.

As the days went by, the situation only got worse. The food was a complete disappointment. The main buffet for breakfast and lunch was overcrowded every single day and clearly understaffed. Service was either nonexistent or delivered with a terrible attitude. There were no plates available at times, tea and coffee were not properly served, and the food quality was shockingly poor.

The room conditions were just as bad. The pillows had a musty smell, the sheets and towels were old and worn out, and the furniture looked outdated and neglected. The entire room felt poorly maintained and far below acceptable standards.

Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Went there with my wife and kids aged 4,8,11. Resort is beautiful ! Pools are nice and clean and well staffed. Didn’t feel crowded even though the resort was full. It’s a great location with its own private beach literally five steps down from the pool area that has a lifeguard on duty as with the pools. Two swim up bars are staffed well. Also a hut on the beach for adult beverages and kids offerings. A nice touch is they did a staffed bbq right by the pool so you didn’t even have to leave to get lunch. Also at the water park on the other side there is a food and drink building with tons of offerings so you won’t go thirsty or hungry there.

Room itself was spacious enough for us and clean. Maid staff was there every morning with fresh towels and mini bar refills. Between the buffet and the restaurants there are plenty of options to eat. Make reservations EARLY. Like right at nine thru the app.

Overall great time although their “tech” isn’t really up to par. My wristbands to get in the room didn’t work upon check in and also another night. Ordered room service thru the app and it never arrived. Check in and out is a longer process then it needs to be. Seems to me like one staff member knew how to work it and the others were just fill ins so it was clunky. Not what I expected from a long standing resort. You can tip with US money. Take care of the staff… they work hard and it will work in your favor.

Very bad service, food was not kids friendly. They don’t even have chicken nuggets, cups with kids lid, not good selection of fruits, if you wanna have omelette or pasta you will have to stand in long queue. Servers were too lazy, very bad room service. They charge ridiculous amount to have extra like slime or breakfast with characters and then more if you want to have your photos taken with them. We saw only 2-3 characters roaming around in our entire vacation there. Will not recommend anyone to come here.

We stayed at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana. The beach and pools are beautiful, but the experience felt chaotic and understaffed.

Check-in took 40 minutes with only two employees working. Despite requesting rooms near family, we were separated because one assigned room was already occupied. We were told a golf cart would take us to our building, but no one came and we ended up walking with our luggage.

Housekeeping was inconsistent. Our minibar was never restocked, towels were hit or miss, and room service took nearly 2 hours one night and arrived cold.

The worst part was the dinner reservation system. You must log in exactly at 9am or most restaurants are gone. Every day felt like a scramble just to figure out where we could eat. We were told places were “fully booked,” yet they were mostly empty at 5pm — it seemed like staffing, not space, was the issue. Once seated, the restaurant food (Wok Wok, Spacewalker, Verdello’s) was actually good.

For a kids-focused resort, many activities were upcharges. Character interactions were mostly quick photo lines. My daughter won a prize at a show (a free slime experience), but it was scheduled for the day we were leaving and no alternative was offered.

Checkout took about an hour and our “secure” luggage storage was just tagged bags near the entrance.

Our kids had fun, but for the price, we expected much smoother operations and would not recommended it.

The overall experience at the Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana was okay. We had a very difficult time reserving dinner reservations. Even though I received confirmations that our dinner reservations were confirmed, the restaurants did not have us on their list and did not let us in. Their response to any issues was to talk to the concierge, who then always try to sell us something extra. This is very frustrating when we just want to relax and enjoy our vacation.

Beautiful, family-friendly stay at Nickelodeon Resort Punta Cana

The property is modern, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The beach is stunning, with soft sand and plenty of space — we never once felt overcrowded. Our kids had the best time moving between the pool and the ocean each day.

The waterpark was a huge highlight. I actually appreciated that it’s located just across the street rather than directly on the resort property. It made it easy to split up our days easy!

Great food and restaurant options- only downside is their table reservation booking system- very unreliable.

Overall, would return!

The room was run down. The tub leaked, the shower flooded the bathroom, and the water temperature fluctuated from scalding to ice cold without touching the knob. This was the second room we were given, too, as the first room did not have a working tub and our key bracelets didn’t work to open the door. The food was awful-even the burgers and hot dogs were bad. The pizza was edible. The water park and beach were the saving graces. Our child had fun on the big water slides and enjoyed the beach.

Overall it is ok to spend time with a family. However, for the amount of money we paid for the trip, a lot of stuff was not included. Verdito Italian restaurant food was absolutely disgusting, on top it was cold. I would say most of the food served at the restaurants was cold. Thumb up for sweety cafe that was saving the day. Fresco bar also was not bad at all. Alcohol beverages were barely having any alcohol. Again for the amount you pay for 4 nights it is a rip off. Facility itself is clean and staff members are nice. Store inside the Nickelodeon absolutely over priced, like common it should kids friendly as well as price friendly. Would be the place recommended. Depends what are you looking for. Food would not be recommended. Kids place is ok.

We had an amazing stay. Every hour there was fun family friendly activities and shows happening. We booked the airport transfer so we paid $150 round trip which was seamless. Next at arrival the resort is very secure and check in was the same as any other resort……long. They convinced us to upgrade the room so we did then we had to wait for concierge to take us to our room via golf cart which also took forever. They also require you to scan a QR CODE for food reservations. However check in is at 3 and the deadline to make reservations is 3pm. No one told us that so we went to the buffet. I’ll talk about food later. Now the room was immaculate, mini bar included, 24/7 room service. Very clean and fully stocked. Never had to ask for more towels for my family of 5. The balcony doors have a protective glass for the kids so that was a great safety feature. The grounds outside were beautiful and always groomed. Now for the food. The buffet had such a variety, not nasty microwaved food like American buffets. Daily items included fresh fish, omelette, steaks, Dominican dishes, salads, fresh fruit,mushroom rice,pancetta, and more. Also the staff in the buffet was the nicest and so wonderful with kids. We only we able to book a reservation at 2 other restaurants during our stay. The wok wok was the worst experience but not enough to change my 5 star overall rating. My reservation at wok wok was 630 but upon arrival no one came to the podium until 647 and no they were not crowded.

Excellent choice for a Dominican vacation. With kid(s).

I'm a single dad and just spent six nights with my seven year old. We had an excellent time.

The staff were friendly, lots of food, and stocked mini fridge every day. I loved the Canita Lagers.

My seven year old could t decide which he liked more, the beach or the lazy river. We divided our time between both, with stops for ice cream at The Sweetery, every day.

We had a bad experience ath the check in with Yordanys, not a kind guy, he did not give us amy information about the resrt at all. We waited about 30 minutes to be pickup from our room to be transported to the lobby, and then at the lobby we spent about 45 minutes to be served due to the bad organization, they did not enforces the lines for check in and check out and people just cut in wherever they wanted. Wilson, the guy with the cart that transports people from the beach to Nick Place, was very kind. And a security guy on the buldimg #2 that I don't remenber his name was very kind and gave us all the information abput the resort, and some bartenders like Juan, Miguel, Johan, Jose, Luis were friendly too.

The resort offered enjoyable amenities such as the beach, infinity pool, and outdoor family spaces. The kids slime smoothie was a hit! Dining options in the evenings were tasteful and had quality food options, though they lacked Nickelodeon-themed elements, which disappointed my kids. Although one restaurant was Garfield-themed, there were no character interactions for this character, making the theme feel incomplete. Paid upgrades like the pajama breakfast and Ninja Turtles pizza dinner were not worth the cost.

The initial room assignment had major issues, including broken air conditioning, cockroaches, and maintenance problems such as a leaking shower. After multiple unresolved service requests, a room change was granted. The second room was more acceptable, with only minor issues.

A significant concern throughout the stay was the language barrier. Many staff members did not speak conversational English, making communication difficult at check-in, concierge services, kids club, and housekeeping. Spanish-speaking guests appeared to receive more seamless service, while English-speaking guests often had to wait for a single staff member who could assist them.

Overall, the resort did not meet expectations. The nightly entertainment was underwhelming, and the price did not align with the value or quality of the experience. Due to these issues, I cannot recommend this resort.

I had one of the worst experiences at this resort. We reserved an ocean view room through Expedia, but when we arrived, we were assigned a garden view suite. After spending a couple of hours dealing with them, I finally got the ocean view suite that I had paid for. However, once I moved into the new room with the ocean view, issues emerged. I was unable to close the back door, and I struggled to sleep at night because the room couldn't maintain a comfortable temperature. Housekeeping was supposed to clean the room daily and restock the mini fridge, but that did not happen; we had to request room cleaning, and they only arrived around 4 or 5 PM to clean, but the mini fridge was never restocked. We called several times for drinks, but no one came. The service was awful; they pressured us into buying a character breakfast that cost $70 for adults and $50 for children, and after that meal, they attempted to sell us a timeshare. Overall, the resort and its amenities are wonderful, but the food and service are lacking.

They have a swimming pool with an ocean view, which is incredible. There is one park with a lazy river and children's waterslides, and another park that features a kids' swimming pool and adult slides. We had a lot of fun there.

I booked a 7-day vacation from Toronto to Nickelodeon Punta Cana through Expedia to celebrate my son’s 8th birthday. Unfortunately, the entire experience was horrible and felt like a nightmare.

From the first day, the room had a strong moldy smell and very poor hygiene. The restaurants and public areas were also extremely dirty. On the second night, my son became sick and threw up. I reported this to the hotel, but I received no support or concern from the staff.

The air conditioning in our original room was not working, there were bugs everywhere, and the smell was unbearable. I requested a room change and was moved to an ocean-view room, which was slightly better, but hygiene was still poor and many things around the resort were broken or poorly maintained.

The food quality was extremely disappointing — I would rate it 1/10. Nothing tasted fresh. On the fourth day, I even found a worm in the buffet food and reported it to the resort, but again received no response. Restaurant food was even worse than the buffet. Most meals were cold hamburgers and fries, which felt unsafe to eat.

The hotel beds were itchy, making it very hard to sleep. Housekeeping did not clean our room until very late in the evening. The beach was completely covered with heavy seaweed, so my son could not play in the sand at all.

We booked a day trip outside the resort, which was the only enjoyable part of our vacation and a big relief from the resort itself.

My experience at the Nickelodeon resort was the worst I ever had in my entire life!!! Starting with the room, can’t get a normal shower for a week, the water temperature in the shower was changing from hot to cold by itself. My wife waited for a hairdryer for literally 3 days, the balcony door was very hard to open and close,me and my kids had to push to get it moved, the water pipe for the bathtub was leaking and we didn’t have any water for a bit one of the days. Now onto the beach you have to pay if you want to have shade, the free sun beds are only 20-25 and if you’re not the first one in morning, forget about it! Some of the days there was not even payable ones available, forget about the pool, forget about the beach!!!! OMG, so about the restaurants, we didn’t see as many restaurants as they advertised! And let me tell you guys it’s very very hard to get a reservation. Food was horrible!!! You have to login at their website at 9am every day to try scheduling a reservation and they are already booked, because they have priority for people with blue breclets!!!!We managed to get a reservation for the space restaurant on New Year’s Eve after a fight with them I’m not eating in buffet again,thanks to the help of a nice lady who make reservations for new year. And I’m sorry to say this but i never had such a bad steak in my life, if u can call that a steak! My son’s chicken fingers look like frogs and were served cold, yup cold! We upgraded our room to get a bathtub because we have a one year old).
The shocking part was how they dealt with it once we reported the issue to the front desk. They said to fill the tub with hot water and wait for it to cool down.
Next day they said everybody was having that issue which turned out to be a lie because we checked.
Very very disappointing. They lied and disrespected us.

Property is dated and rooms are not well maintained. The shower head was the dirtiest I’ve ever seen and mold lined the bottom of the shower. Long hairs in the bathtub upon checkin at our room. Artwork in room is falling apart. Our air conditioner stopped working right before bed and we slept all night with no AC.

Pool is open until 7pm and they do not provide any towels after 5pm. Water park has no towel service at all - and the nearest towel service is almost a mile away at the main pool by the beach. Water park music and “entertainment” was so loud it was unbearable and the decible level was not safe for kids. When the waterpark closed, the crowd had to wait for extended periods for transport because the staff did not prepare for its closing by having sufficient shuttles available.

We requested a taxi for 11am on our departure date. The front desk called our room 4 times between midnight and 1am telling us our taxi had arrived, waking up our family over and over even though we kept reminding them our taxi had been requested for 11am. Between the constant phone calls and no AC, it was an absolutely miserable night stay.

The food was decent, some of it good - and certainly the best part of the stay. The fresh fish at the buffet was very nice. The drinks, however, were terrible, especially the pina coladas. The soft serve was also very poor quality (the kids wouldn’t even eat it).

Overall, this is a below average resort. It needs significant upgrades and improvements.

Loved the swim up rooms, staff was very helpful but the cost of things at the resort are insane! I paid $70 for a stuffed sponge bob! Breakfast with characters was ridiculously expensive! Renting a dirty beach bed at the water park was super pricy! The drinks were watered down and the shittest alcohol possibly but the beer was good. Staff was friendly but the “shows” were cartoons on a big screen most nights. The one show we did see with characters dancing was way too late for little ones. The restaurants were good but the space one is very tired and dirty. Italian was the best, we never tried the Japanese cause it was closed most nights. Great ice-cream coffee bar Bartenders will serve with a smile as long as you are tipping. Drink selection was not good.

Staff were not pleasant at all. There are some exceptions, but in general, it seemed like everything was a chore for them, no smiles no extra effort for help… very disappointing.
You pay 5 star hotel pricing but this is at best 4 star resort, you can see that they are not up-keeping the hotel.
Kids had fun, the water park is cool, beach is nice but the whole experience is average at best.
Also, there is really not much for kids after dinner.
Will not be coming back here.

The food/buffet situation here is unacceptable. I had to complain several times and nothing was fixed. 45 minutes line for a buffet dinner. When you get in it's hard to get even diet soda to drink because waiter service only for drinks. On New Year's Eve had to wait on a long line to manually book a dinner. No one let you know, you had to figure it on your own. If you didn't book it then you were out of luck for dinner that night. Specialty restaurants were booked only through their app and close out immediately at 9 am. Also very little night time activities for kids made it quite boring and hard to keep my daughter entertained. No seats at the pool or beach unless you pay extra. So what made the trip salvageable: ice cream/coffee at the sweet shop and the workers there were nice. Water slides and water park were clean and well run. Properly made margaritas at the bars. Security was very present and we felt safe. Overall, you could do better for what you pay, and I'd not recommend.

i was there for my son's 5th birthday and was really disappointed with the overall experience especially because of how expensive it is. I am Dominican and was so disappointed in the way my family and i were treated. We werent given the service that other families were given, for example, i asked for apple juice for my kids and went to go get them food from the buffet which took me 10 mins. When i came back my husband told me they still hadn't received the drinks and the family next to us not only got their drinks but also got refills and had arrived after us. It was like that all 3 days we were there except for one young lady who was very kind and all money we were going to tip the others we gave to her but we met her on our last day there. If they think youre going tip good then the treat you nice. I guess they judge us off of appearance. Also the room could've been cleaned way better. You can tell they don't wipe down the sink area with all the scum and grime. When we got there the checkout took approximately 20mins and my kids were tired and hungry. By the time check in was completed the buffet was closed. We were told to go to another food area they have so we went. The \"chimi\" they served there was a regular dry Hamburger not even cheese was added. i was so disappointed with the food. the buffet food was ok but the best food and service we received was from Verdello(itialian restaurant) their server Marcos was incredible. It was an awful experience, staff only will help you if you pay them. Air Conditioner made sounds all night. could not sleep. Property is pretty. Everything else is horrible. The food is not edible they cut costs so much that you cannot even eat anything. It's like a local mafia extorting you the whole time. We left after one day. our stay was for 3 days. $1200/day to be treated like garbage. I would like to request a refund for them ruining our family's holiday. Could not be less impressed. HORRIBLE PLACE!

The hotel room was a great set up, we had a suit flat for a family of 5 and it worked out nicely. Staff were all friendly as well and resort was clean. However there was lots of negatives, only buffet for breakfast or you pay for the special breakfast… 3 options for lunch buffet, fresco and aqua bites (both fresco and aqua bites never had a full menu listed online which was very disappointing) coffee shop also never had a juices listed… this was a theme even dinners didn’t always offer what was on the menu.

Waterpark is definitely geared to families under 12, your not allowed to use the water slides if they think your older than 12 even though the weight limit is 200lbs listed.

You need to make reservations daily at 9am for that same night and they do not take you even 5mins early they just tell you to come back… and when they are running late staff is unapologetic.

Was okay stay, but very pricey definitely wouldn’t recommend if you have a child over 10/12ish

Terrible customer service . Elevator didn’t work and hasn’t for months . Very hard with three kids and a stroller … plugs didn’t work in bathroom . Lamps didn’t work in rooms . Bathtub leaked water all over the washroom floor . Fridge didn’t work so they sent us another that didn’t work . They moved us to another room because of all of these issues and the Air conditioner didn’t work so we were overheating the whole time ..
the staff that work here are extremely rude . I have been to 49 countries and many resorts and this is NOT a 5 star and needs a lot of work .

Resort was nice and clean. I hate that house keeping came at different times. I like that there was always characters walking around. Food was good it was annoying you needed reservations for all the other restaurants. Room service food was nasty. Drinks were good. Water park was nice. Slime time show was nice. We went for my two year old son’s birthday they didn’t decorate the room till the next day. Character breakfast was nice the food was very good there. It was annoying how they bothered you about a time share thing. Not many of the spoke English.other then that everything was nice the face painting the bouncy house and I like how they have activities through the resort and I like how big the resort is

The hotel is clean and well maintained. However with many flaws. Firstly, most of the staff do not understand a word of english and are zero friendly. Secondly, the food at the buffet lacked variety and flavour. Thirdly, the menu’s of the restaurants are extremly more limited then what they display. Fourthtly, cleaning of the room was at either. 8 am or 5 pm or nothing at all. Finally, a couple of days the hotel didnt have towels at certain parts of the day which is unacceptable considering the hotel was not at even 50% capacity.
Overall, the hotel is beautiful but definitely needs to get better managed because you can tell they have many flaws.

The personal concierge service was absolutely horrible. Armando didn't make any of the reservations I requested. The resort has golf cart service to get you around the resort. One day it was almost an hour until a gofl cart showed up to get us to dinner. There waterpark main pool area what shutdown for hours due to kids poop in the pool

First review ever here. I have mixed feelings about this stay. The saying \"get a reputation and you can sleep easy\" applies very well here. Specially with staff, when the hotel was crowded, service wasn't good. Saff was grumpy, annoyed and too busy. Not sure if this is on them or management though. Last couple of days were a lot better because a lot of people left, so the hotel was half full. There were some staff who did an amazing job and others very poor. This is why I don't want to generalize. This hotel SHOULD NOT forget that they are in the business of serving people. At times it felt we were begging for something, not that we paid for a service. I consider myself to be a very easy going person. For the price of this hotel, service could be better.

The room was excellent but we had call daly to the front desk to have our room cleaned and fridge restocked. Was not impressed with the theatre we were told that there was entertainment every night and there was not . There was rarely entertainment at the poolside as well . The allacart restaurants gave very small portions and were not well flavoured or cooked. The buffet was good but not a big selection. No shuttle service was provided either way so it was another added expense and we had to wait longer than expected to get a taxi although we prearranged it as well as check out was disorganized. Staff was very friendly and did their jobs well . We would not recommend or return there .

Staff were amazing and made the trip difference.

Our butler Leo fantastic. Cannot say enough good things about him.

Concierge Jose was the best.

Life gaurd was beyond exceptional.

Rooms can use some updating. Our first room the AC kept kicking out. We then made the decision to upgrade rooms and it made the difference.
