While the rooms were clean and the staff was incredibly nice, our overall experience fell short of high expectations. We faced a major issue with room service when an order we placed because we were too tired to go out never arrived at all. This forced us to venture out, only to face a 45-to-60-minute wait at local restaurants that stretched into a painful 85 minutes with a crying baby. To make matters worse, the food order was wrong and the sodas were completely stale.
On the positive side, the kids had a blast at the water park, the pool, and meeting the Nickelodeon characters. However, for the parents, it was a mediocre vacation with underwhelming food. The buffet was our only consistent dining option, and even that was just average.

Nickelodeon Punta Cana was an amazing time with my family. Not sure if the bad reviewers expectations were too high but this resort was solid. Our Rooms were spotless and cleaned properly daily. Staff was polite and helpful our entire stay. The food was pretty good especially the Dominican food at the buffet. Can’t expected 5 star food at a kids resort. The water park and HUGE pool area was great time! Nickelodeon characters were easy to find based on schedule provided. The entertainment shows were enjoyable for kids and adults. There’s even a lounge at night for adults and kids to hang out together or separately. There’s nothing bad I can say. Thank You Nickelodeon Punta Cana. I will recommend to all friends and family. It’s all about the kids enjoying an amazing stay at the end of the day!

El upgrade es un completo engaño, te convencen a realizarlo dado que la piscina principal está abierta hasta las 5pm, cuando en realidad cierra a las 7pm.
Te lo venden 24 horas y al llegar a la habitación en las instrucciones de la piscina definen un horario de uso 8pm.
Los restaurantes no son por reserva, pero al llegar a la puerta te informan que están llenos y de afuera se pueden apreciar las mesas vacías. Un hotel de renombre te obliga a comer en 1 solo diminuto buffet y de proteina solo cuentan con chuletas por "carne roja". La desinformación entre los propios empleados y la temática del hotel son sumamente pobres. El costoso desayuno con los personajes no es cónsono con la promoción. Piscinas vacías y cortes de luz que afectaron el uso de las pocas atracciones. En fin cuando chocas con la dura realidad de haber viajado a un lugar donde prácticamente te tienes que aguantar todo el periodo de la estadía y no cumple tus expectativas, más que frustración una pesadilla.

We stayed at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana and were extremely disappointed given the price and expectations of a 5-star, family-friendly all-inclusive.

While the beach is beautiful, pools are clean, and some staff were friendly, the overall experience did not match what was advertised.

The biggest issue was the food consistently cold, bland, and extremely limited. The lunch buffet was often closed, leaving almost no decent alternatives, especially for children. This is unacceptable for an all-inclusive resort at this price point.

The “all-inclusive” alcohol was also misleading. Only very low-end liquor was included, portions were small, and anything mid-range or better required extra payment. Even basic requests like wine to the room or kid-friendly slushies were refused or charged extra.

Only 2 of 4 restaurants were open during our stay, service around the pool and beach was minimal, and entertainment was underwhelming and not truly kid-focused despite the branding. Character interactions were limited and poorly organized.

The kids club was also not practical for families, as children could not participate unless left alone with staff, which doesn’t work for many parents.

Overall, this was not a 5-star experience and did not deliver on its promises. We would not return or recommend it.

Esperaba más de un hotel Nickelodeon. Primero tuve una mala experiencia en el restaurante buffet en el primer día de mi estadía, uno de los colaboradores que servía comida me hizo una broma de mal gusto. Luego de comentar la situación con la concierge, los supervisores se disculparon.

Las personas que trabajan ofreciendo regalos a cambio de participar en una charla para ser socios del hotel son bastante insistentes.

Lo que sí me gustó fue la comida en el restaurante italiano y en el restaurante Space Woker, la comida deliciosa y la presentación de calidad. También el restaurante “Fresco” es muy bueno.

El restaurante buffet no es muy bueno,

Recomendaría mejorar el servicio de bebidas e implementar más bebidas naturales.

La atención al cliente me parece que debe mejorar, solo unos pocos colaboradores fueron realmente amables.

Beautiful pool and beach! I really liked that the water park area is separate from the main pool and beach, it made it feel more relaxed overall. The water park itself was great for kids; my 6-year-old had a blast on the slides, though it was a bit smaller than I expected.
We upgraded to a beachfront swim-up room, and honestly, that saved our trip. The room location and convenience made a huge difference.
Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. Even for an all-inclusive, it felt very mass-produced and low quality—most of it was barely tolerable, and even the pizza wasn’t great.
Service was also hit or miss. While we did come across a few genuinely warm and welcoming staff members (who really stood out), overall the friendliness level felt lacking.
In the end, the upgraded room made the week enjoyable, but based on our overall experience, we wouldn’t return.

I arrive at the hotel with my family at 1 pm after a long flight. I had to make a long line of about 9 people, from which it took about 35 minutes because two people were checking in. The room was ready at 3 pm, so the main desk suggested I get something to eat and come back at 3 pm. At 3 PM, I came back and had to do the same line for another 40 minutes—great way to start a family vacation. At the entrance, a gentleman was holding our bags and couldn’t help us after we'd already waited almost an hour in line to check in, and told us they were waiting for the little bus to deliver the bags. Well, I dragged my bags to my room with my wife and my two-year-old daughter. To top it all off, the shower in the room was broken. I called the main desk, and they said yes, yes, we will take care of it, and it never happened. I wouldn’t suggest the hotel if you want to spend a quality time with family and enjoy the amenities. Also, the people try to sell you vacation plans, for what the same disaster experienced…. No thanks!!

Good resort for kids!

Concierge was a little too aggressive on their sales of character meals and slime experiences. No additional help was offered for other things ie tours, dinner reservations (like a normal concierge). Once they realized you weren’t paying extra, they were done with you.

Meals were ok. Lots of kiddie options.

Also, could use some more entertainment in the evening for kids.

La seguridad en la área común cerca de los pabellones que tienen piscina es muy fácil para un niño acercarse y tirarse, no tiene divisores ni privacidad por qué todo el que camina por el pasillo puede verte 👎

I wanted to love this resort so bad.

On a previous trip to Punta Cana, I saw this place and instantly thought, I have to bring my kids here. That moment finally came for my daughter’s 10th birthday, and I went all out to make it special. Before arriving, I even emailed the resort requesting birthday decorations and made a reservation for Spacewalker since I saw online that it requires booking.

Let’s just say… none of that mattered.

From the moment we arrived, the experience felt off. We were barely greeted, rushed through check-in, and immediately pressured by staff to sign up for a one-hour sales tour for villas at their Orlando property. No welcome, no overview of the resort, no guidance just a sales pitch.

We got to our room… no birthday decorations, no dinner reservation, and a warm room with a loud banging noise coming from the AC unit that got worse by the minute. I contacted concierge right away. Maintenance came the next day, spoke no English, and left without fixing anything. We stayed an entire week and the issue was never resolved.

The staff overall? Unfriendly, unhelpful, and completely disengaged. At first I tried to give grace due to possible language barriers, but this is an international resort that accepts American dollars there should be staff available who can communicate effectively with guests. Simple questions went unanswered. No one seemed to care.

Now let’s talk about the “kid-friendly” experience…

Everything was perfect except the resort has this company called Prestige, they are sales company offering you different travel package like timeshare. It’s actually good if it benefits you, the only thing I didn’t like is they will take a few hours of your vacation time because they have to do a presentation. And they’re very persistent even if you already said no. In exchange, they will give you a free coupon for a paid activity in the resort so you get it for free. Why not right. But the stay is still excellent. My daughter loved it!

I had a very disappointing experience at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana. This was supposed to be a fun, family-friendly vacation, but it fell far below expectations.

First off, the food was honestly terrible—bland, repetitive, and nowhere near the quality you’d expect for the price. On top of that, the liquor selection was extremely limited and seemed to be the cheapest options available, which made the “all-inclusive” feel pretty misleading.

There was also a lot of construction going on during our stay. It completely took away from the atmosphere and made parts of the resort feel unfinished and noisy. Definitely not something you expect when booking a premium resort.

The water park was surprisingly small and underwhelming. It looks much bigger online, but in reality, it didn’t offer much variety, especially for older kids or adults.

What made things worse was the service. We felt overlooked and, at times, disrespected by staff. The treatment we received didn’t feel welcoming at all, and it left a really bad impression.

To be honest, the Nickelodeon resort in Mexico is WAY better in every aspect—food, service, amenities, and overall experience. This location doesn’t come close.

I would not recommend this resort and definitely wouldn’t return. Save your money and look elsewhere.

I’ve been to DR several times and this was the first time I stayed at this resort with my son for my niece’s birthday. The experience was terrible. We arrived to the resort early; at the time early check in was not an option which was fine. However, my sister wasn’t able to get into her room till way after the scheduled check in time. We came from NY with a small cake after calling to see if that was ok. The concierge on the phone let us know it was okay to bring the cake and that they would store it for us till it was needed. That was a lie! We got there and they gave us the run around until the cake finally melted and fell over which at that time they let my us know they don’t usually hold cakes because they sell their own. After that, they made us sign a waver and said they would keep the cake. In addition to that after checking in, you are told to go to guest services to let them know you have a birthday so that they can set up a character call for the birthday child and arrange for a birthday banner and cupcake to be delivered to the room. None of those things happened on my niece’s birthday until I finally raised hell and asked to speak to a manager. It all took place post convo with the manager towards the end of the day. To add onto the list of problems that occurred, they give you the run around when it comes to booking dinner reservations. There is no communication between all the staff that work there & even worst a lot of the staff are unfriendly. 0/10 recommend.

The resort was very well maintained and family friendly. The room was nice and well cared for. We got a swim up room and the pool was beautiful and the kids loved it. We were also near the Fresco lunch spot and the food was really good there. We heard many reviews talking about reservations for the restaurants and making them through the app. The app never worked for making reservations the entire week we were there many people I talked to had the same issue. We were able to eat at every restaurant by just going to the restaurant to make a reservation for later in the evening. The only restaurant you may want to try to get a reservation for earlier is wok wok. The food was generally really good, but the portions were on the smaller side, but you can order more. We saw many reviews mentioning the seaweed on the beach, but the beach wasnt crowded and very clean. Overall the beach was one of our favorite activities. We also did two excursions and we booked through the resort. We did the snorkeling trip to the marinarium and it was good. There is an area where you are guaranteed to see rays and nurse sharks. Our kids were happy with that. We also did horseback riding on the beach, and it was possibly the highlight of the trip! The kids loved it. The horses & guides were very good. My only complaint was the prices for pictures and souvenirs were very high. The souvenir prices at the resort and airport were better and reasonable for a vacation spot.

This resort is a hard pass from our family. We have a 4 and 5 year old and they had a great time (saw their favourite characters and the waterslides were great), but as adults, here’s what you should know:

1) The food was inedible. Like, really bad. The AquaBite resto leaves their burgers out for hours. You have to make a reso through their app to any of the themed restaurants, which didn’t work for us half of the time.

2) You get assigned a personal concierge who tries to upsell you on everything and also gave us higher prices than booking through the front desk. Then they’ll offer you a deal if you sit through an hour presentation on their new Orlando resort.

3) The gift shop is offensively expensive. I’m talking $65USD for a small plushie. Order stuff off Amazon before you go (or after like we did)

4) Wine, prosecco, etc is bad bad bad. If you want anything slightly drinkable, you have to order off of the paid menu, which was also offensively expensive (I’m talking $65USD for a $10 bottle of wine).

All in all, there are SO many better family friendly resorts out there that you don’t leave feeling sick and taken advantage of.

Infinity pool/ swim up bar was relaxing and cool according to my 12 year old… lol

Beach was clean, and whole resort didn’t feel crowded.

Personal slime session was worth it if your kids like that kind of thing. Character pop up viewings all throughout the day.

Food was ok, nightly entertainment could improve in my opinion.
Most staff spoke Spanish so a little communication barrier on times.

Check in was bumpy. No one told us about the app or that it wasn't working. So we had no way to reserve activities or dinner spots. We called the front desk 20 times with no answer. We finally walked to the front only to be told it was first come first serve since app was down. We came right at 5:00 and the restaurant told us we needed reservations also that reservations were full until 9pm. They finally agreed to squeeze us in but we wished they hadn't. The food was awful. Out of ten dishes, only two were decent. The restaurants were are not good. The buffet and the ice cream shop had a lot of good stuff but it's pretty bad when the buffet is your best option.

Also not much at all for adults and teenage siblings to do besides the beach.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room was not properly cleaned, the service was slow and unprofessional, and the staff seemed uninterested in helping guests. Basic amenities were either missing or not working, and the overall condition of the hotel felt neglected. For the price they charge, this place is absolutely not worth it. I would not recommend staying here and definitely won’t be coming back.

They need a better system for the bracelets and making reservations in the app. My husbands bracelet fell off in the ocean because his and mine were missing a clasp to hold it on. I recommend getting a room key or they charge you $150 for losing it. The restaurant app worked randomly so we had to contact the concierge in order to book a meal. Other than that, the place was a great experience.

We went for a week, the last week of March 2026. The beach is beautiful and there is a pergola that is over the front row of chairs. The infinity pool right behind the beach is well kept and has plenty of chairs and umbrellas. There is a swim up bar and a walk up bar. There are staff walking around taking orders as well. There are separate swim up bars/pools between the buildings. There are two water parks at the back of the property--one is for smaller kids and has a waterpark playground area and the other at the very back (you have to continue walking back after being dropped off by the golf cart shuttle) that has 3 larger water slides. The night-time entertainment with characters is really nice. The snick lounge had old school arcade games which my husband and son played a lot.

This overall is a kids resort that has some things for adults rather than an adults resort with some stuff for kids.

It was great for our 7 year old--they did also have a kids club drop off area to give us a little break. Of note, the kids club was nice(10-11:50 and then 2-4:45) but they didn't go to the pool which my son was a little sad about.

The sunrises were beautiful here!

Good luck with restaurant reservations. The only way you will get in is with bribes with the head waiter. The app is absolutely useless.

5 stars for the lifeguards who were actively doing they’re job.
Half of the employees were wonderful, but the other half of them shouldn’t be there.
Hair saloon stylist was great with my girl. The baristas were great, the pool barman team are great. But the restaurant staff, quite awful.

The PJ party is a scam! They were unclear about the pricing and it cost way more! Don’t sign up for it. Also they kept changing the way we needed to book reservations for à la carte restaurants for dinner. They said first come first serve then told us to use the app. It was disorganized. Be prepare to walk the whole resort, they just have one shutter and its a lot of people, The only good thing about this hotel was the water park and the staff, other than that everything is terrible, all the good reviews you will see in the site are the servers asking for reviews so their bosses can give them perks, minimal activities for kids and almost everything you’ll have to pay it in order for a better experiences with characters, no free games, archades, interactions etc, do not loose your money they are selling just the name of the resort

My wife and I with our two kids stayed here for 7 days during March break. This is an outstanding, fun resort for families with younger children. The water park is fantastic, and the characters on property heightens the atmosphere and experience for everyone. The food is what you can expect in Dominican, the buffet and restaurants are adequate not many choices. Food quality is sub par at best, even the specialty restaurants lack quality and flavour, don’t plan on coming here for the food experience. It’s definitely worth the money and memories staying here at least once. We did have an issue with our AC leaking water, they relocated us the next day to a beach view room and Figerald arranged a special dinner for us with the teenage mutant ninja turtles on our last night. I will say it wasn’t the greatest dinner experience, just taking pictures with the turtles and agin sub par food. We will definitely think about returning to this resort as our kids are still young enough to relish the experience, but maybe we will try the one in Mexico next.

My review is poor because of three factors.

1) I got offered characters breakfast promotion but at the checkout the promotion was not fully applied.

2) Prestige Travelers company - very pushy to sell membership.

3) My wife and I have seen staff members taking pictures of ladies in bikinis. Very sad we see this happening in a resort during our vacation. Hopefully the Nickleodeon management see this review and take some serious action.

To begin on a positive note: the photo opportunities with costumed characters are a genuine highlight for families with young children. Also I want to acknowledge and appreciate Marco- see below- staff like him are an asset.
The following review email was also shared with management via email a day prior and received no reply .
The check-in process was more time-consuming than necessary, though this alone would not have warranted a review. We were initially booked into a Nest swim-out room, and upon arrival the in-room minibar was partially unstocked, facial tissues were absent, and the toilet was not functioning properly. Reaching the front desk proved surprisingly difficult — calls went unanswered on the first attempt and required multiple tries before anyone responded. The maintenance and restocking issues were eventually resolved, but the friction involved was unnecessary.
From day two, we had arranged an upgrade (at time of check in a day prior, paid for) to a flat suite swim-out oceanfront room. We were asked to be ready for the move by 3:00 PM, yet received no follow-up communication. We cut back our water park visit to get things done. When we visited the front desk ourselves, we were informed the room was not yet ready and were sent back to wait in room. We were told a bellboy would be dispatched with new wristbands — no one arrived for an extended period. After several unanswered calls, we finally reached staff who, rather than consulting our reservation details, as

Place was clean maintained, food awful, service awful, drinks awful and for a kids resort I have stayed at other resorts with more kids events and action. Water park underwhelming other places have better! Many things are up charges and extra. App entire week not working so you stoke in line to try to get into a restaurant to eat. Rented a cabana bed on the beach and the entire day not a single person came by to ask if we wanted drinks. This resort oversells and significantly under delivers

The hotel is not worth the price. Honestly, the character dining experience felt like a waste of money—you already see the characters throughout your stay for free. During dinner or breakfast, it’s basically just a quick 2-second photo, and that’s it.

The hotel itself is very basic and does not live up to expectations. On top of that, I lost my Gucci sandals during my stay, and they were never found. What was especially frustrating is that there seemed to be little to no effort to investigate—no cameras were checked, and when I followed up multiple times, including at checkout, my concerns were not taken seriously. I was even laughed at, which was extremely disappointing, especially since I still had hope the hotel would make an effort after several days.

Additionally, as shown in the picture, the sofa in our room was broken. Our check-in experience was also very poor. After a long wait and having a child crying for hours, we asked for assistance and for our room to be cleaned, but no accommodations or support were provided.

Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and I expected much better service for the price paid.

The room was clean,the furniture old, the AC had a wierd sound and one cockroach went to visit us in the room. The food from the buffet was better than the restaurants and the alcoholic beverage was not the best considering the high price of the hotel. Overall we had a good time but not sure if I will come back. The staff service is great!!

the property was clean but beach had litter. The staff was great and very friendly. The accommodated my son with severe allergies very well and I felt safe. The extra cost for things such as the ninja party dinner were a little absurd, especially considering the food at this event was the same food offered in the buffet, but less variety. The food that night was actually quite disgusting and we ended up ordering room service afterwards that was the most disappointing part of our trip but otherwise we had a great time. I wish the bowling would have been included or at least more affordable I think a day pass was around $120 USD making it especially expensive for Canadians. Our room was always clean and well stocked.
