Not a hotel for couples

I checked in first and after couple of hours my female partner came to the hotel to join. She’s stopped by the hotel reception and asked for our marriage certificate. Immediately I came to the reception and explained them I’m a citizen of New Zealand, we don’t get married, we have civil unions or de facto live in relationships. The front reception staff members hassled me so much and telling me without marriage certificate my partner can’t stay at the hotel. I had the worst hotel experience with this place and requesting all couples to stay away from this hotel. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone, totally unacceptable behaviour from the hotel staff.

Terrible staff service

Terrible staff service, unfriendly. Broken intercom telephone, broken fridge, broken tv, broken lift buttons. Breakfast was terrible. Unclean, stained bedsheets, toilet seat was also not clean, cockroaches and mosquitos everywhere.

excellent hotel with great staff.

this is a wonderful hotel. There is much good about the facilities and comfort...and food...but the really great thing about this hotel is their wonderful staff. So many great folks. Two guys that stand out for me (and who's names I can remember) are Numan in the lobby and Rimon in the room top restaurant. But many other great people, too.

Terrible hotel providing misleading and insufficient information at the time of the booking and denying to provide a refund. The rooftop pool advertised on the hotel's page turned out to be closed. Not only that but the staff came to my room and banged the doors to remove my guest saying \"guests are not allowed\".

Night’s in Six seasons

There are too many staffs on lobby gossiping very loudly instead of helping the guest. I made reservations with this hotel through hotel.com. Concierge Of the hotel wasn’t knowledgeable. I made full payments at the time of reservations. Soon I arrived at the hotel they kept me along waiting to find the reservation in their system. Later they were asking me to provide my business card or visiting card at the front desk . I gave them my USA passport. They were keep asking me for the card. After that they were asking me to keep deposit for there security purposes which will be refundable. Overall it was too much hassle for my daughter and I. Definitely this hotel management needs to come forward to resolve this issue. Forget to mentioned their insane price of mini snacks bar in the room. As an example, small can of sprite taka 350.00 out side of the hotel’s price is taka 35.00. Sine I have the worst experience definitely I will give the hotel one star ranking.

worst hotel in Dhaka

The worst of worst can anyone ask for. First of all the hotel policy is the worst than any other hotel in Bangladesh. If you are a couple you MUST proof your relationship with your wife by Marriage Certificate NO EXCEPTIONS !! They will deny you if you don’t. Manager is very unprofessional and unable to answer certain critical questions. General Manager is very Polite and was able to calm the situation. I just flew in 25 hours and right at the chek in i was blasted with relationship question with my wife. I was forced to show my marriage certificate or deny boarding. At the end of the night, management sent a cake for the confusion they cause.
Management seriously need to get the facts in check and train their employees. My wife and i have been insulted and devastated. We was shocked !!

The rooms are comfortable. The hotel is but tucked away from Gulshan CBD. Very quiet. Choose the lake view room for privacy. Staff are very helpful. The restaurant Manager Islam was very very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

False advertisement of rooms made it an unfortunate stay. We booked a room for 2 with a king size bed and was told that there were no \"king\" beds or Executive Suites even though it was confirmed booking.

Comfort with a small roof top pool for cooling off

Very comfortable room with good wifi, great size bathroom and large bed. Rooftop pool was small but lovely to relax at after a dusty, hot day out in Dhaka. There were only a few sunbeds at the poolside but it wasn't too busy when we stayed in February. There is no bar at the hotel however there is a restaurant and coffee shop. Breakfast was great with plenty of options to suit everyone.

After long hours in Dhaka Airport we came to the hotel, we were not too happy with the room we had, because the last people who stayed could have smoked in the room even though it was non smoking. Then the person who took us to the room he told us don’t worry if you don’t like the room, I will try and do something. Within few minutes he spoke to the duty manager and give the phone to my self, so I explained to the duty manager regarding why we did not like the room, then the duty manager upgraded our room for free. We had a brilliant stay, with an excellent view of the city, staff were so friendly helped us with everything, including booking airline tickets to cox bazar. Message to the management team, keep it up you guys are doing an amazing job, I have traveled to many destinations worldwide and stay in 5 star hotels on a regular basis, you guys have excellent customer service second to none, keep it up.

The room i was allocated was impressive, bed was comfortable, room was clean, decor & lighting was very easy on the eyes, a very good room....only comment I could make was the state of the carpet, could do with a steam clean. But overall I would book this hotel again if stopping over in Dhaka....also the food buffet was really good too.

Good choice in Dhaka

I have stayed in many, many hotels in Dhaka, Six season is one of my favourite, along with Amari and Westin although westin is far too expensive.
The hotel has nice food, a great swimming pool on the roof which you can just about swim laps in and a gym which has all you need.
The spa is very very expensive, with wages being low in Bangladesh I am not sure how they can justify such a high price for an hours massage.
Friendly staff, great Wifi.
They would get top marks if they had a bar and alcohol license but unfortunately not.
One thing to note, they do not allow guests to your room, if you have any meetings you need to go to the lobby, not so convenient when I had lots of garments spread out I needed to show someone.
Would certainly book again on my next trip.

Expensive- No choice

Really with the price paid per night (around USD150), can get amazing hotels/rooms in Bangkok and most part of Asia and maybe elsewhere as well. But Dhaka....?! esp I doubt this hotel is worth that. First night when I checked in, it was raining. Just a stroll to the terrace was surprised to see the rain water leaking to the inside of the corridor (steps) leading to the swimming pool. Breakfast is really like a family affair- so less (so less spread, and unappealing). Everything (other restaurant in the hotel) are expensive to any standards.
Imagine you check-in late in the night. Bath, change and need something from the hotel. You find hotel room intercom not working and also internet. You go downstairs and the receptionist says (lies) their guys working. Frustrating till the next afternoon... esp if you are first time to the country, good luck!

Shower head- Made in PRC. I was like not bathing in a star-rated hotel shower, but some third rate place.

Only thing was the hotel bed was cozy, they had table, computer chair to work.

They charged me for $40 per night for extra bed, I have never seen that before as the room was already booked for 2 person include breakfast, so all over the world in any other hotel I have never charged for extra bed unless I switch from single to twin!!

Inflexible and rude

One of the worse hotel I've stayed in. I've been travelling on work for a while. Stayed in some of the prestigious places but never have I spoken to offered service to the level my anger reached to the top of my voice.

Prices are exorbitant I am not sure for what!
I extended half day to catch the flight at 12pm, mentioned to the night staff that I need to leave late night. I said probably I will leave around 9pm. I called at 9 to say I will leave in another 30min as I was ordering room service dinner.
I was told that I Should have left by 8pm and they now are going to charge me full price.
They were not budging which lead to my unusual reaction- shouting at reception.
I was then put on call to their manager who finally changed me halfprice.

I have stayed in Hilton, taj, shangrila, and many other and never have I faced this. They've always been understanding and helpful.

Never will I stay here again after this experience.

Highly recommended

Very good stay. The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to get about town. The facilities are good (I enjoyed using the gym and the spa). The rooms are large and very comfortable and clean. The real stand out is the staff: they are all lovely and so helpful! They go the extra mile every time. Would recommend a stay here.

I travel often for business, and this hotel is one of the best experiences I have had overseas. The staff are very helpful--they go above and beyond to accommodate customer needs. The hotel is very clean, and breakfast is great. I will definitely stay here again.
