The value of our stay was incredible. When we arrived, we were seated in the lounge and given lemonade while our documents were recorded and we were checked in. We found the front desk clerk Yousef to be professional and made us feel awesome upon arrival. We took his restaurant recommendation and had a wonderful stay in Cordoba. Wonderful eco boutique hotel! Felt like family when we were there, delicious breakfast! We were there the night Spain lost power and no cafes or restaurants were open. The hotel provided candles and dinner for all guests & were exceptional with keeping us up to date with information. Thank you!! This Hotel is in the heart of old city, close to The Great Mosque & the Roman bridge & many other point of interest. Make sure to check your room before agreeing. Some rooms are very poorly designed, toilet right in the middle & hardly any room to spread your suitcases. Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay. Staffs were very helpful & pleasant.

Adored this boutique hotel.from the moment we entered and were greeted with cool glass of lemonade, to the entire staff, to the charming room with Moroccan decor. I can’t recommend highly enough. This hotel is so charming and special, and exceeded my expectations completely. Our junior suite was spacious and beautiful, with gorgeous Mezquita views, a large pool-like tiled bathtub, plenty of space to hang clothes, and a full length mirror (I find these are often missing from hotel rooms!). The pillows, bed linens and towels are all high quality. We were offered homemade lemonade upon check-in, and also had truffles and mini bottles of cava waiting in our room. The concierge Youssef made sure we always had everything we needed, and was so helpful in offering recommendations and booking tickets. It's a small hotel and operation, but the hospitality was truly fantastic. It's also in a WONDERFUL central location close to tons of bars, restaurants and little shops - within ~15m walk of most of the spots to see in Cordoba. Absolutely loved our stay!

Our stay was unfortunately terrible. The temperature outside was 39C and the sircondition was almost not working. We were struggling to change rooms but even in other room the AC condition was same. It was too hot during the day and night as well and had a terrible sleep.

The hotel is absolutely charming. It’s a very old, but extremely well, and lovingly restored. However, that said, they have worked with the footprint they were given, so our room as small, the bathroom small. I don’t know if there are larger suites upstairs, but the only thing our room did have, which was fun, was a mikvah (ritual bath for purification prior to entry into the Temple).

Hotel Madinat is everything one could wish for — charming, beautiful, slightly eccentric. Splendid rooftop terrace with shade and bar service. Handmade chocolates left in the room. And our room had a moorish soaking tub! Super nice staff. This was my second stay and I hope to see it again.

Hotel Madinat is a very unique and beautiful hotel based on the original centuries old age of the building. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. However, the comfort level regarding the space within the room is awkward and tight. Although the room has all updated modern amenities, the bathroom rather than the bedroom is the focal point. The surprising open shower set within an oversized “tub” at the entry and in the middle of the hotel room is awkward. It significantly impacts the space of the entire room. In contrast, the bathroom sink is exceptionally small. As a senior, I suggest caution in this room choice despite the many positive aspects of this hotel.

No on-site parking. You'll likely have to park a km away, or more, and then walk to the hotel. The uniqueness of the bathroom really affords no privacy within the room. It's basically using the toilet behind a window.

Staying at the Hotel Madinat is like staying with old friends (if your old friends had luxurious rooms, a warm and welcoming staff and a breakfast buffet that will have you skipping lunch). You enter the hotel through a beautifully tiled entryway that opens into a marble-floored courtyard with a beautiful fountain (sadly, no longer flowing) to be greeted by some of the friendliest people in the world. Paloma insisted we leave our bags and relax while she served us homemade lemonade and sweets. After a bit of decompression, we were shown to our room, a lovely king room on the third floor, which is one floor below the rooftop deck, a great place to enjoy the 360 degree view of Cordoba’s Old City. The Madinat is a restored manor house, a family-owned affair where every little detail – and I do mean EVERY LITTLE DETAIL – has been attended to with pride and love. You get the impression that the staff is proud to work at the Madinat and that pride demands that they attend to your every need.

We stayed two nights at Hotel Madinat in early May and were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. We received an excellent overview of the city and the hotel at check in - best we've ever had. The staff did a great job in getting us restaurant reservations, a taxi to the train station, etc. They have a real passion for their hotel and their city.
Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. The shower in our room was a bit small but a very interesting design. The incorporation of artistic elements into our room and the common areas was very well done.
All in all, we give the Hotel Madinat are highest recommendation.

Our only qualm was with the bathroom: the toilet was hidden from view of the rest of the bedroom, but without doors or walls separating it. We prefer a bit more toilet privacy! This is an excellent small boutique hotel located in the historical district and just minutes walk from the major sites. The hotel staff are very helpful and the hotel has real charm. The roof-top look-out on the building is delightful in the early morning and also at night you see lighting of the district. Highly recommend.

It was a delight to stay at this hotel as it was in quiet location but not far to walk to a good restaurant, bar or small convenience store. Go right down some small streets and you reach no. 15 stop for hop/on/off bus. Turn left and its short walk to the riverside or straight down to the Mosque/Cathedral of Cordoba. However my top rating was for the staff. Friendly and genuine and interested in their visitors. Best service I've had in any hotel and i have travelled far and wide.

A home with history turned into 11 room boutique hotel. Owners were keen on preserving heritage and did not spare expense. Excellent location for Alhambra visitors. And great service by front desk. I had minor issues with lock box that didn’t open and a shower drain that flooded, but everything else was great.

This is a wonderful hotel. It is unique with the poems and sayings written on the stairs, in your room, and on the walls. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with the usual Spanish jamón, quesos, fresh squeezed juice, good coffee, and a wide selection of breads. It is located in a great place which is a short walk to all of the good historic sites. We took the bus tour which included a walking tour of the judería section of Cordoba. Both were fascinating. The staff got us great seats at Cordoba Ecuestre an equestrian show, and roof top dining reservation at Casa Pepe. They even sent us a message before we arrived to tell us where to park. We loved this hotel.
