In the center of everything

From the moment we arrived personalized attention. Helped bringing bags up for us, gave us a map and recommended routes and places to eat, sites to see. Breakfast included was great. Hotel was quiet but easy walking being in the center of it all. Close to Mosque.

Nice Hotel with great staff

Hotel is great and staff is better. For toughs tired of European style breakfast, staff will cook you up eggs over easy or an omelet! Only issue I had was bed was a double and was pretty small for me and my wife to get a good night sleep. And do NOT try to drive to hotel. Driving through mid-evil streets is a nightmare. Other than that, great place!

Quiet with great breakfast

Good location. Fresh eggs made, choice of scrambled or omelette. Very helpful staff with good English. Good sized room with real double bed (not two twins pushed together) and large bathroom with a deep tub and shower. Nicely furnished.

The hotel is in a central location. Rooms are nice, except the beds are really small.

I think they are double beds? Definitely not queen. My wife and I are not large people, and it still was uncomfortable.

A Gem!

A welcoming glass of local wine began our wonderful stay.Attention to detail is evident throughout.Breakfast is delicious including choices of eggs and excellent fruits.The large bathroom is beautifully decorated and toiletries are provided.The staff and new owners were helpful and very considerate.They even read our request on our booking form which many hotels do not do.Parking is available around the corner in a private garage. We felt pampered and taken care of throughout our stay. We love this hotel.It was perfect!

Cozy stay in friend's room

Room and hotel were well maintained and clean. The room was beautifully decorated with a jet bath(!). The hotel is close to major tourist attactions and restaurants (less than 10 min) and 10 min to the city center.

Hotel ancient and charming and well-located BUT though our room was charmingly and beautifully decorated, little things made it inconvenient, e.g., the only shelf in the bathroom, which from the brackets must have been glass, had broken and not replaced; thus, there was no surface on which to keep our toiletries and toilet kits; also, most hotels will have a box or packets of facial tissue--we had nothing among the few toiletry amenities like shampoo. It would have been nice to have had a tea/coffee maker--certainly as a replacement for the humongous TV that took up the surface of an antique chest.

Atmospheric hotel in excellent location

Very good overall; the only negative was that the room was a bit stuffy and since we decided to open the window it was noisy in the early morning.

This would not apply to all the rooms.

Old-fashioned feel with all the modern amenities

Friendly, English-speaking staff. The hotel is an easy, 20 minute walk from the train station, right in the heart of the old Jewish quarter in Cordoba. Furnished with antique furniture and fixtures, our room had the look of a bed and breakfast in the States but the bathroom fixtures were all modern versions and everything was clean and up to date. I wish we could have stayed a few more days.

This is a beautiful, boutique hotel in the old city of Córdoba. The staff was terrifically accommodating. The included breakfast was in a lovely patio with sit down service. We were there for only one night but wished we could have stayed longer.

Excellent Staff and Great Room

The staff there was very helpful the moment we drove there. The room has very nice furniture and we were greeted with a glass of champagne. The breakfast was good. This is definitely a place to stay for the night. If you are driving there like us, please park outside the old city. The road inside is very difficult to navigate and the parking lot is hard to get out if you have a full size car.

Unique boutique type hotel

Great location, excellent security. Easy walk to everything, lots of restaurants and bars all around. Good quality table service breakfast but wifi a bit patchy in room. No elevator but staff carry bags. A/C works a treat and well appointed bathroom. Gives you a feel for the local culture and makes you welcome. Would stay again.

The place to stay in Cordoba!

We loved our stay at La Hospederia de El Churrasco. We liked the room decor as it has a very homely feel. The double room we stayed in was very comfortable and the bathroom had a spa bath, which was unexpected. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Nice hotel in the centre of old Cordoba

A very nice, quiet place in the centre of the old town, a few minutes walk from the cathedral. Reaching the hotel with the car was an interesting experience with not much more than a couple inches left each side of the body in incredibly narrow streets (call hotel reception to set the GPS as the address mentioned by Expedia is not precise enough - we eventually hired a cab to show us the way and followed - the hotel has a parking so not a problem when you reach it).
Staff was friendly and very helpful. Our rooms was small but nicely decorated and well equipped. The restaurant is in a separate building nearby and food was excellent.
We hired a guide for a private tour of the city and this was an excellent investment as there is much more to see than the world class monuments listed in your guide
So, clearly a place we can recommend

Lovely hostric inn

Beautiful small hotel that was clearly restored with loving care in a 300-year-old building. Huge bathroom, and beautiful furnishings and classic details throughout. The neighborhood is charming and you are within walking distance of all the main attractions of Cordoba. One caution, the connected restaurant is very expensive and in our opinion, not worth the cost. There are many better, more reasonable places within walking distance.

Giving away a secret?

Apparently, this hotel used to be a private home. The room was large, comfortable and modern, especially the bathroom facilities. The staff was extremely accommodating -- helping park and retrieve our car down a very narrow street, and helping us to obtain train tickets during a holiday period once we turned that car in. We felt safer than we would have in a larger hotel. Would I stay there had I known what was available? You bet.

Great hotel in the heart of Cordoba

One of the best hotels we ever stayed!

Location is great - right in the heart of old city, walking distance to all attractions - 5 min max!
Great stuff, hospitality through the roof!
Rooms are well designed, comfortable, quiet air conditioning (very important when the outside temperature
is between 36C in the day and 30C at night!
Despite very narrow street leading to the entrance (we arrived by car !) we managed to reach it safely,
without scratching our rented and beloved Mercedes B 180 (relatively large car for those streets).
There was also underground parking garage to keep the car safe while we stayed there.

I would rate the hotel 4 stars not 3.
We didn't try hotel's restaurant, as it was closed for the hot summer months,
but there were more than plenty restaurants around to choose from, so no complains.

Wonderful hotel in the perfect location

We stayed at Churrasco for two nights. First, the interior and the rooms are beautiful. Our double room was very big and comfortable. The staff was wonderful. They went the extra mile, without our asking, to help fix a problem we had with our rental car.

The location is perfect. It's in the Jewish section, with a beautiful white winding alleyways, and it's a very short walk to the Mezquita. However, despite its nearness to the main attraction, it's very quiet.

We stayed in a number of nice, small hotels while in Spain, but this was the best.

Charming boutique hotel in old town

This hotel is in an excellent location,close to the main attractions. The staff were excellent in their attitude, all very helpful & spoke good English. The rooms had a beautiful old world feel with lovely old furniture & the bathrooms very stylish also keeping in the old style.Breakfast came with our room & that did not disappoint either. Basket of fresh toasted thick bread & croissants & also an option to choose off the 'cooked menu\" as well.

Best hotel in our week in Spain

We stayed at this hotel for one night, and wished we had stayed longer. It is quaint, charming, well situated. Our room was lovely and very comfortable -- we had a terrace that overlooked a small garden. Staff were cheerful, very helpful and efficient. Food was good, even room-service at 3:00 am. All well worth the price.

My husband and I were greeted by a very helpful young man who helped us with luggage, which was essential since hotel has no lift. Otherwise it is a jewel and lack of lift should not put vistors off from living in a beuatifully kept, private former home where you will feel looked after in luxury.

Very welcoming including complimentary drink on arrival. very enjoyable breakfast. very helpful staff and would have no hesitation in recommending this great value hotel. Fab location in Jewish section

Hotel was everything we had hoped for - staff were very helpful and spoke English. Breakfast was a little disjointed but a good choice of dishes, mostly continental but could have eggs anyway you desired. There is a lovely outdoor taverna just down the alleyway which is an excellent spot was both lunch and dinner. The only downside of our stay was our decision to eat at the adjoining El Churrasco Restaurant (father/son combo operate hotel/restaurant). The food was nice (albeit expensive for what you got). We ate in the orangery on the top floor - ambience could not be faulted. Unfortunately not all staff were as friendly and obliging as others - it is a very \"masculine\" staff, one of whom did not know how to smile and made you feel as if he did not want you there. We would stay at the Hotel again but give the restaurant a miss!!

Exquisite small hotel in Cordoba

This small hotel is a real gem. It is within minutes walking distance of the major sites in Cordoba, located in the historic quarter. Arrival by car could be a challenge due to the extremely narrow winding streets, but we had no problem finding it once we turned onto the correct small street off of a main road that led us directly to the hotel (caution- fold in your rear view side mirrors or you may not fit - seriously!). It is an intimate small hotel, the room was beautifully appointed with character and style. There are two small enjoyable patios and a sitting lounge. An excellent complete breakfast was served on the room (or optionally in either of the patios). Interestingly, the Inn actually started as a fine Andalusian restaurant of the same name a few doors down, and then added the hotel later. Overall, this small hotel is very unique and enjoyable and I highly recommend it.

This is a great hotel to stay in - in a fantastic location and ideal for visiting all the main sites in Cordoba. Staff are really helpful and attentive. Breakfast is very good, with lovely fresh orange juice. Tip - if you come at the weekend, try to park in one of the spaces by the hospital (check on map). These are free on Saturday except for a couple of hours during the middle of the day, then free all day Sunday, then you pay from 9am on Monday . It's just a 5-minute walk to the hotel. But if you have too much luggage, I would then park at the hotel. I see that on Trip Advisor lots of people have commented on having problems finding the hotel (this would apply to most hotels in Cordoba as there is a maze of streets - but a lovely maze) - if you can part outside the hospital, do so and walk in to check where the hotel is as then it would be easier to drive in through the gate to the old town. We were very lucky when we walked in as we took the right road to the hotel, but it would be preferable to print off a map with the surrounding streets marked clearly.

The Bright Star of Cordoba

Our stay at this facility was one of the best that we experienced during our 18 day trip through Spain. Both the accomodations and staff service were excellant. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers. It is perfectly situated in a beautiful city so that you can receive a true sense of the city's culture and people.

Small but nice hotel in the old town five minutes walk from the Mesquita. Room small, as was the bed. Continental breakfast was served in the room. Good restaurant 'attached' next door. Hard to find by car but the sat nav managed it via some extremely narrow streets, then the staff took the car away for parking.

Comfortable, convenient and attractive

Excellent location in the centre of the historic district for seeing the main sights. Also convenient for different places to eat and drink. Attractively converted building with style and chararacter; good quality furniture, decoration, etc. Our 'superior' room was comfortable and big enough. My wife and I enjoyed our three nights very much, although breakfast could be rather slow sometimes. Arriving by car can be challenging.

Not the best nights sleep.

Our room was over the kitchen and also the main entrance stairs ran alongside our, as a result on falling asleep I was woken by something being dropped in the kitchen, glasses or cutlery, around 11pm and also noisy guests returning to their rooms. Not much sleep had that night. Breakfast was excellent., but consider the hotel expensive and over rated

Great location for old town.

The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the old town - everything in easy walking distance. Great staff. Lots of bars and restaurants around. We had a double room (not superior) and it was quite small and very 'boutique' i.e. lots of bits and pieces everywhere but little space. The bathroom was well-equipped but again small and the shower not very effective. A bit difficult to get the car down the narrow streets to the hotel but once there the staff park it for you.

Superb small hotel in excellent location

Small and intimate hotel. Very personal experience with staff who were very helpful.
Excellent location in La Juderia.
Our particular room (251) was a standard and was on the small side - moreover overlooking the central courtyard where noise easily travelled - particularly from the fountain. That said - it was spotlessly clean and served its purpose.
Next time - we would go for a larger room.
