Fantastic location, dead centre in the centre of town. Walkable to all the major attractions and lots of restaurants nearby. The room itself was clean and had all the amenities listed. Parking around the area is a bit difficult as it is a busy area and there is no onsite parking. Staff is not onsite, but are responsive when messaged with any questions about the stay. Other than that, great value for location and place.

Access on arrival was intolerable, a nightmare.

Hôtel is locked with no staff. Code number required for entry. They never advised me of this or sent me a code. What I had to do to get in was beyond belief. That was a total failure of their facilities. Otherwise it’s a lovely hotel.

As others have said it’s an hotel that is run like an Airbnb. There is no reception and no staff visible. You get a code that opens both the main door and the room. The lift was not working during my stay but my room was on the first floor so not a problem. There was a big noisy party downstairs on my last night. My room was as far away as it was possible to get but it would be an issue if closer. If none of this puts you off it’s the perfect location a few steps away from the mesquita and many restaurants, the room was comfortable and cleaned perfectly by staff I never saw.

Old hotel in beautiful historic neighborhood

An OK stay. No in-person check in. Used a code to get in the front door and room. Our room was on the 3d floor but the elevator was out of order so I had to carry our 30lb. bags up and down. Not fun. When we arrived there was a HUGE, LOUD party going on downstairs, so we took a walk around the amazing neighborhood. It was over by the time we got back. Very old building, but water, toilet, AC worked fine. Furniture was old and looked like it was on its last legs. No English language TV.

Beautiful, traditonal property in fantastic locati

Beautiful, traditonal property in fantastic location right near the mesquita.
Beds were very comfy and air con worked really well.

However, due to the location, it was noisy at night due to close proximity to bars with the patio area below a very popular flamenco. Quite a few party revellers going past our window throughout the night.
Overall, a great place to stay.

Great location, minutes from the Mezquita and other landmarks. The room was pretty, clean and well maintained, the shower works great. Not a great night's sleep because of echoes/conversations from entrance and hallway (no hint of late night flamenco music that they warned about!)--carpeting in the entrance and halls would help.

The hotel doesn’t have a reception so check in is on line only, access is by code rather than a key. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The rooms are above a noisy bar so not the place for a quiet stay.
The location was very convenient, walking distance from all the sights and places to visit

The location is very good. No desk attendant was present so a code wa sent for entry. The code box for the room failed and were lockef. After we reaced someone, we hadvto go pickbup a manual key. A bit frustrating. The key pad was restired in the morning. No other issues..

Rooms clean. Excellent position. Reasonable price. Lift not working and apparently not scheduled for repair. (We had rooms on 2nd floor). While no problem accessing door and room with code there was never any reception staff on duty in the hotel. No receipted invoice for payment was left in room as stated in their email. Music from patio below registered 86 decibels in the rooms.

A good hotel, located in amazing place (so close to all the important places that you like tourist will visit).
Check in and check out so easy.
The disappointing thing was the cleanness, it should be more clean!
And for the persons that sleep early, you should know that there is a bar with a very loud music exactly beside the hotel that stay open until 01:00 AM (at least that what was in the night that I spent at the hotel)

Fab - if you don’t value rest and peace and quiet

We booked this hotel because of the great location and reviews of the cleanliness of the room. What we didn’t account for was the fact that the ‘hotel’ is part of a very very lively flamenco / live entertainment bar. The room opposite ours (6) had a balcony overlooking the courtyard where the live entertainment took place and had a steady flow of visitors into and out of the room all day until late at night with the door often left wide open revealing the ‘hotel room’ containing nothing but a large round bar and groups of maybe 20 revellers singing, dancing, cheering… which is absolutely fine if that’s what you’ve booked but not for customers who have paid for a hotel in which to rest, relax and get to sleep.

The constant flow of traffic and the open doors resulted in the hotel corridors smelling of cigarette smoke.

This went on from around 5pm until well gone midnight both nights of our stay.

We rarely ever complain about issues with hotels but this was beyond the joke. We have tried to contact the hotel to raise this but 2 days later we have received no response

Great location.

The location was excellent. Within walking distance of the Mezquita, the Roman bridge and Jewish quarter sites. The rooms were nice and spacious. There was a restaurant with live music located right next to the hotel. That being said, there was no on-site check in. The hotel was being renovated so construction was taking place. No wifi available that weekend. Surely it is unbeatable at the height of tourist season.

great location. clean and very spacious room. the hotel needs to upgrade infrastructure. one of the beds was in a very shabby conditions, squeaking, shaking, and hitting the wall each time you turn around on it. Good there were four beds altogether, so we could choose from. Also the room had only one power outlet. The other one was in bathroom. No USB socket. The outlet with USBs is readily available everywhereOr at least install another socket. Small improvement but will make so many guests happy. With three phones of ours it was quite annoying to manage all of them charged.

Well located in the old town, with lots of eateries and walking distance to all the sights. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Be prepared to climb stairs if you request room on higher floor as the elevator can only transport your luggage. There was Flamenco performance every night at the restaurant below but it stopped at 10pm so we could still get a peaceful sleep.

Fantastic location with downsides

Check in was easy, lift is ‘out of service today’, with no offer to help with bags up 3 flights of stairs. Bed was smallest yet in Euro adventures, toilet so close to wall, had to sit sideways. Ants in bathroom. Fantastic location! Feedback seemed to fall on deaf ears at check out.

Hotel is good. But I had a bad experience I paid when I booked the room to avoid any problems later, however, this turns out to be a disaster as they (hotel) refused, insisted and made me pay again at the property.

I don't know how I will be able to solve this double payment problem.

I don't know if this is hotel problem or Expedia problem, as at two other hotels I also faced similar problem.

We stayed at Hotel Gonzalez for two nights. The day that I made the booking, I received a helpful email from the hotel about parking nearby.
The hotel is very well-located in the Jewish quarter and all the main sites can be reached on foot. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, comfortable and true to the photos. Wifi is available throughout the hotel. Our stay was excellent value for money and we would recommend this hotel.

Great central location in the judería district. Everything is within walking distance. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Creaky headboard and tricky doors, but that comes with the territory of being in an older building. Room window overlooks the central patio, so we got a free seat to the nightly dinner flamenco shows.

Had a nice large room overlooking a small plaza. Only negative was the \"continental\" breakfast, which consisted of a glass of juice, coffee or tea, and a piece of toasted dry bread. We wound up having breakfast elsewhere.

Delighted to find ourselves so centrally placed within the old town of Cordoba - couldn't hope for a better location. A most rewarding visit to the Jewish quarter, with the synagogue, very informative Serphadic Museum and conclude with a delicious meal (with live music) at the Serphadic Restaurant, all close to each other.

The hotel is in the jewish quarter steps from the Cathedral. Very difficult to access with the luggage. Do not take this hotel if you are with a car. The room was clean. The bed terrible. We could not sleep and suffered for additional 2 days. Decent breakfast.

Excellent location near the Mesquita and Juderia. Good sized room. Bathroom was good, but the shower miniscule. The street is very noisy when the garbage trucks and cleaners start in the very early hours - try to get a room that doesn't face the street. Great value for the price we paid.

we stay for one night, location is great. But the breakfast is very poor, only one cup of coffee and 2 pieces of bread and one small piece of butter. The waiter is very cold, our first bread was burned to black, we requested to a new one, he bought back one even not toast. No elevator, prepare to carry your luggage to upstart. But for the price, that is good enough.

Very close to amazing giant mosque-cathedral, Alcazar, in ancient Moor capital city. Really wonderful for exploring old town by foot. Room was on second floor by stairs, a bit difficult for hauling a bag, but with flowery window views of lovely restaurant in courtyard of hotel.

The hotel was very close to all sights and restaurants so you could walk to everything. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a restaurant and store in the hotel which was convenient. The only problem was our room overlooked the restaurant which was noisy until after 11:00. Overall it was a nice place to stay and I would go back.

This hotel was beautiful for the price. Only downside is, the neighborhoods to get into it is CONFUSING! Park far away and walk in. We were trapped in windy-one-way-street madness for about an hour so the closest parking spot you find outside the fort walls, TAKE IT! The staff was friendly and spoke English, the room was clean and comfortable. Definitely worth the price if you're traveling on a modest budget.

A good location close to Mesquita. The rooms are clean and bed small but ok. Arrived by train and it was a 6 euro taxi that drops you at the front entrance. Has a interior patio cafe where a coffee and bread roll breakfast is served. It was very hot and the room had good air conditioning.

Perfectly positioned for seeing all the sights

Staff were brilliant and changed our room from one on ground floor with cafe outside window to first floor. No lift but even as retired couple we managed our cases and new room was spacious although we had to keep net curtains drawn to prevent being seen from cafe below. Not a problem.

It doesn't looked like a hotel. It is a small house. The room was very small, very noisy outside until 12 mid night. No table & chair in the room. Shower was really ordinry and after shower the
shower water was floating in the toilet. With this price it was not worth it. Only advantage was that it was bear to the masque (cathedral )

We were on a stop over to Sevilla by train. We had two nights booked at hotel Gonzalez. We loved it so much, we cancelled one night in Sevilla so we could stay an extra day. Our room overlooked the under renovation restaurant so we asked to be moved to a front room overlooking Judia Levi Plaza and they immediately obliged. It was an amazing place to be since there are buscars (street musicians)all day in the square serenading into our room. Only drawback was we had to walk to their other hotel for the breakfast(mediocre) but I'm sure that will change soon since the renovation is almost complete. For the third night we opted out of the free breakfast and ate in the plaza below for the same value. We travel...a lot. We will be back to the charming little city of Córdoba and Hotel Gonzalez.

Just to stay one night

I booked a room with triple beds, thaught it has one double or queen bed there at least. They gave me room with three single bed and no choice to change !!!!
WIFI does not work in room and was off in the entire hotel the night I was there.
No laundry service in the hotel. There is one public laundry which is close at the weekend.
Breakfast starts from 9 am which is soooooo late.
Would not stay there again considering their price is not low compare the others in Cordoba

Great hotel in the old Jewish quarter

We enjoyed our stay in Cordoba. The hotel was great price/quality value. The room was large and bright even though it was December. It had windows to the large internal courtyard. David on reception in the mornings was superb and gave us so much valuable experience information and recommendations for places to eat and assisted with directions when we wanted to buy some m milk to make tea! David - thank you so much. We loved Cordoba and can't wait to return.

This hotel is situated on one of the many narrow streets in the Jewish Quarter. It is next door to one of the famed Cordoba Patios!! In fact we could see it from our window. We stayed 3 nights and it was a great exoerience. We had room only but because of its location we had no problem finding a cafe for breakfast each morning.

Good time at Hotel Gonzalez

Spent three nights in the hotel. Hotel is located in the historic part of Cordoba very close to the cathedral. Friendly reception staff. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast served in an attractive courtyard within the hotel. You can eat other meals there too. In the evening Andalucian singers and dancers performed in the courtyard. An attraction for some but very loud if you were looking to have a rest. The performances would finish by 10pm so before bed time for most but perhaps not younger children. Overall very good.

In the old city of Cordoba we found a great oasis. Our room was on the second floor. We thought this might be a problem since my husband recently had knee replacement surgery, but there was an elevator that worked nicely. The room was air-conditioned and had view of the courtyard, complete with Flamenco Show in the evening. WE could walk every where in the old town and discovered great restaurants.

Nice room, busy neighbourhood

Helpful but busy receptionist, good English. Very spacious bedroom and ensuite, beds comfortable. Inclusive breakfast procedure vague - ask receptionist for allowances -, food OK. Loud Saturday night street noise 'til 3 am. Location perhaps too close to Mezquita!

Well located friendly hotel

We enjoyed staying at hotel Gonzalez in the heart of Old Cordoba. The staff were very helpful about property we had left on the train. Flamenco performances from the restaurant next door and just under our window were an unexpected bonus that finished early enough to let us sleep.

Great location

The location is great, in the center of everything, but we had not problem with noise at night. The front desk staff was very helpful in recommending places to eat. We found the Gaudi cafe across from the hotel abetter place for breakfast than the one (Patio?) adjacent to the hotel.

Habitación muy limpia y amplia.

La habitación es muy amplia; el baño, también. Todo muy limpio. Cama muy cómoda. Habitación silenciosa. El problema fue que el código de la habitación no funcionaba y tuvimos que esperar una vez a que nos abrieran y otra vez a que nos activaran el código. Fue una atención rápida y el personal fue muy amable.
