My family and I stayed in one of the two-bedroom chalets. The property was clean and well maintained. Dining at the resort restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Overall a very comfortable night's stay.

Had an amazing spa treatment, Lizelle and Marcia were the best!

Service at the hotel was subpar, the numbers for reception and emergency were disengaged for our entire stay.

The mattress in executive suite L002 isn’t comfortable at all.

The restaurant, please take better care to clean and maintain, the chairs were dirty.

Comfortable room and good location

Comfortable room and good location. Access to restaurant/bar easy walking distance. Just no phone in the room to call reception, but whats app number provided. Suggest air freshner for bathroom, but other than that, no complaints. Safe and quiet.

Not bad, room for improvement

The overall stay was OK. Room amenities where great and it was very comfortable. However, it was very noisy the Saturday morning when we woke, workers and guests. I had to phone in on Saturday afternoon when our room was not made up when we were gone the entire day, even when indicated so with the sign on the door.

Work trip.

Older style property and needs a little work done but grounds, room, facilities all ok and price point matches the offering. Service team were excellent and couldnt do enough - maybe a little over eager to check, clear and ask if \"all ok\". Overall good and would stay there again.

Family Christmas Holiday

Our stay from 24 to 27 December 2023 was okay. The receptionist was very warm and her demeanor positive. The superior room we booked was okay but cleaners must try to be thorough in their cleaning. Please control ants and spiders. The room will also have an appeal once flooring is improved. The sports fields were far from what is advertised - condition poor.

We had booked two rooms through Hotel.com however when we arrived at the Resort they were unable to pick up the booking. We were travelling with family and wanted both rooms to be next to each other for convenience. Only one room was booked and was told by the reception they are fully booked and placed us in a ''honeymoon suite'' at first which was not what we had booked. According to the restaurant manager (Charl ) the ''honeymoon suite is not even supposed to be used as it is supposed to be under renovation. We could literally feel the springs on the bed that's how bad it was. We then went back to reception to ask for another room , the guy from reception (Pier ) told us we must just make do with that room.We then were given two options of rooms to choose from however yet again these rooms are their back up rooms which are not in very good condition and should not even be let out for guests. The phone didn't work , the shower had no pressure. The room was not cleaned, spider webs everywhere. Empty shampoo, lotion bottles where left behind. The bedding and the bed was not cleaned. The curtains were dirty with stains. The lighting was so very poor. Very poor service and very disappointing. We travelled from far to get pushed around and told we must just make do.

Relaxing stay in White River

Amazing stay at Ingwenyama Resort. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast is up there with the best we'd ever had. The service from all the staff was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Pool area and surrounding gardens where immaculate. Excellent value for the area and I would highly recommend a stay there.

To be honest I was surprised with this last minute booking - reception could not be friendlier or more helpfull -
I recieved a great room that was super clean - and compared well to a lot more expensive places I have stayed at - I travel for a living so have seen it all - i would have liked to see a hairdryer in the room - standard at most places, and some bottled water in the fridge.

Incredible place.

It was an awesome stay. I will definitely recommend to others. The tranquility of the gardens, the swimmingpool, the sportsfield, everything was just nice. However the two ladies at reception can work on their attitude. They very unfriendly. Otherwise the other employees were quite nice. The floors of the showers in E block need some attention though.

Charge amount and reservation amount not the same

Hotels.com booking price was a special on the web including bed and breakfast, my booking after payment showed room only. I booked one of the highest rooms for because of the special but to my suprise I paid 875.89 on arrival the reservation showed 738 the taxes on my bill could not equate to the amount I paid or even closer. The staff at reception could not explain the difference. They tried calling hotels.com to no avail. I ended up paying for my breakfast though this was not the plan. This disturbed my anniversary celebration.

We recently stayed 4 nights at the Ingwenyama Resort. We had a pleasant stay here. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was nice and comfortable. Although we did not have the time to use the amenities, they are abundant here. I would definitely recommend the Ingwenyama if you are in or near White River

Only one hour of free Wifi

The Free WiFi is not true - it was only free for one hour! It worked well for that one hour, however, and mobile network was usable thereafter (which I paid for separately). Room was very large and had 3 single beds. Mosquito repellant did not work until I queried it - and room service has to come by and install a cartridge. Room service came into my room while I was in the shower even after I shouted at them not to come in. TV and aircon worked fine. Bathroom was old but functional. On-site restaurant had a very limited menu (mostly meat) so I drove to the town where there were other chain restaurants. Grounds were well-kept and beautiful. Overall, however, I would rather have stayed somewhere else.
