This is good for a brief and mostly comfortable stay in Mbombela.
The room is really small, but well laid out and the AC works well. The wifi was not great but okay, and the hotel does have a backup generator if needed.
The staff were mostly friendly, but more care can be taken to explain about the property at check-in, or even provide a statement at checkout (still waiting for that to be emailed to me). The pool is nice although it was pretty much taken over by people who brought their own music speakers making it unpleasant for hotel guests.
The door key cards kept erroring out, which meant going back to reception multiple times, and there is no elevator for anyone with disabilities or heavy bags.
Price wise the hotel was reasonable, but onsite food and drink is pricey.

Booked 3 x non-smoking rooms, were allocated 3 x very bad smelling smoking rooms. Booked 6 months in advance, booking confirmation showed non-smoking. Town Lodge refused to move us. Breakfast very expensive for what you get.

This is a value for money hotel, that offers very good service and a really good breakfast for this type of hotel. The room is well designed, and has a well sized bathroom, and a desk area if you need to do work. The bed and pillows are comfortable, with high cleanliness level. There is a shopping centre with a supermarket and a few restaurants across the road (a short drive, or <10 min walk). The only downside is the TV with only 3 DSTV satellite channels and no international news channel.

We did a quick stop over shopping trip in Nelspruit and booked our stay at the Town Lodge.
Location is convenient and hotel itself lovely. Staff and check-in was fast and efficient; rooms clean and look good. Breakfast the following morning, although we missed out and only had a (delicious) coffee; looked and smelled great with staff service again being professional and prompt with a friendly smile to accompany.

We stayed at Town lodge Mbombela for a single night on our way from SA to Swaziland. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very very clean and tidy. The only issue for us is that the rooms are a bit small. But for one or two nights I wouldn't mind. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Town Lodge Mmombela. It offered excellent value in the centre of town, close to shops and hospitals. it was clean and well furnished with a delicious and extensive choice of breakfast. The staff were very polite and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

It was a delight. The refurbishments have been excellently done and the room, though quite tiny, was bright, spotless and comfortable. The little bathroom was very carefully laid out to maximise usefulness and space. The breakfast was great and the staff were all friendly and attentive, especially Lona and Adri at the dining room.

First they got our reservation wrong, then they put us in a smoking room, the door of the bathroom was off the rails, the air-con didn't work, the vending machine was out of water ...I am afraid, we have stayed at the Town Lodge on numerous occasions, but in Nelspruit we'll definitely not be using the facility again as price wise the value is not what you expect.
