STEER CLEAR. Booked for 2 adults, 2 kids and room was meant to have a bed for the parents and TWIN singles. It only had a Queen, and a normal Single. Called reception expecting we would be moved to a more appropriate room. They claimed we couldn’t have booked for 4 people as their rooms are only suitable for 3 people. They said all of their rooms are the same. They tried to blame me as I “would have seen on Expedia that the room had a sofa bed”. Ummm no. We booked 2A 2C! We should have two single (ie. twin beds)! I refused to put any of my family in the pullout sofa which was covered in dust. Room was disgusting! Mould in shower. Spiderwebs on walls and ceilings with spiders. Webs all over windows. Cockroach poo in toaster cupboard. No coffee or sugar! Only teabags and salt and paper. Pool also had no water and has been out of action since COVID! It’s 2025. I had even paid an extra $73 for an extra person! I am now negotiating with Expedia about this. Ruined our weekend away for our son’s birthday and I didn’t get any sleep as I was squashed in a Queen with a 10 and 12 year old! See the pictures. It’s also called Tabourie Lake Motor Inn, NOT Tabourie Lake Motel. The staff aren’t in the office either and have a huge ugly pile of linen on trolleys waiting to be laundered. Such a run down place.

Comfortable room in an old style motel. Good local advice on getting to the beach where we swam and walked to Crampton Island at low tide - excellent. The garden around the expansive lawn is immaculate and well worth walking around. Like most older motels it is not staffed most of the time as it would have been in the old days when they used to provide breakfast through the trapdoor!

The room was clean and good value for the price.
Unfortunately the surroundings are run down (pool, playground) and don’t look anything like the photos provided. The garden was pretty and it looks like the owner wants to get on top of things. It’s a place with potential that has seen better times in the past. It’s a pity that the photos are misleading. Raj the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. 5 stars for Raj🙏

Unfortunately the room we stayed in was very unclean. The shower was full of mould, and when we accidentally spilt water on the carpet, cleaning it showed how dirty the carpets were as well!
Advertisements show a pool, but it is still closed due to covid which isn’t advertised.

I would like to say how disgusting that place is full of cobwebs. Advertising the pool is empty. Had a sign in the bedroom due to Covid rusted out chairs which are a work health and safety issue. Will never go there again the second night we didn’t stay there. We went to the Novotel in Wollongong booked in for two nights.

This place was cheap as chips but comfortable, clean, easy! Location is right off the highway but there's no noise in the room. Get a front and back veranda, tv, fridge, microwave and amenities. Two choices of pillow. Excellent stay and extreme value for money, would definitely stay here again!

Easy check in, key was left in the door. Bed was clean and quite comfortable, room was neat and tidy.
Hot water takes a little time to come through, but you are notified of that so no real problem. I spent three nights there with no issue.

Jug needs descaling, 3rd bed wasn’t made up, as the booking was made for 2 adults 2 children. So I had to make it.
The place is old and needs TLC. No pool as it’s closed, rubbish on the premises. Not worth $185 a night.

This is a very sad place . Beautiful situation but very run down and neglected .
Was as clean as could be considering the aged sealing in bathroom .
Vanity unit was very damaged.
The pool was empty .
Spa closed . Restaurant closed .
We never met any staff member which in itself is not an issue I guess.
There was only 1 glass .
I electric plug did not work .
Would not recommend this place .
Could be wonderful but needs so much maintenance.
Very sad .
Bed was comfortable and linen was obviously hired as was excellent quality .

Single bed had broken leg in the middle, so the whole bed slopped to one side. Had to take the mattres off base an but on dirty un-vaumed floor where the single bed base was.

The sheets and towels were lovely and clean, so was the bathroom

Love the price. Loved the reception staff. Bed was firm in room 1. Pillows are flat but there is another two in the cupboard. Had an iron and ironing board. Tiny fridge. Great for the budget traveller. Would have been awesome if the pool was in use. Would stay again.

Good value for the money

Room was not huge, and the fabric of the motel is showing its age but it had all that we needed and was good value at a budget price. Its not exactly in the middle of town - so don't expect restaurants, coffee shops, bars or supermarkets nearby. Its quiet and right by the lake with a good sized pool and nicely maintained grounds. Would recommend this property for a night or two but don't expect luxury.

The latest New Marigold Hotel. Sunni did his very best but 1 person in high season is not enough.
Surprised room had no kitchen sink crockery had to be washed up in the bathroom. No bedside lights. Had to keep the veranda door locked as fly screen lock broken. Our room did not have the advertised air-con..Guest wi-fi unobtainable (Sunni spent a long time successfully working around this).Overall not the standard we expected for the price.
