It’s a nice basic hotel that is worth the value. If it were any more expensive, then it may not be worth it but otherwise the hotel is not a bad spot. I actually booked it another day when I return back to the city in the same week. The towels are dirty looking, but they are actually claimed as I can smell that they were clean, but they just look very old but not bad quality you can tell when they were new 15 years ago that they were good quality towels they’re just a little gray out even though they’re white towels. I’m exaggerating a little bit for lack of a better way to describe it And Rushing through this review.

Everyone there was extremely helpful and always pleasant. Carlos was one of the best, and there were many! The room has a beautiful rounded balcony, and you can hear and see local talents singing and playing a violin or other instrument. Never loud, just right to give the right atmosphere. The location is EXCELLENT, with the Catedral and Plaza de Colon right in front. A block away is the stand where you can take the \"chu chu train\" around the Colonial part of the City. The famous Pantheon is a 5 or 10 minute walk.
The restaurant downstairs is good, especially for lunch or dinner. Try their chorizo in wine and their hot chocolate. ¡Divino!

This hotel has the best location in the area, right in front of parque Colón and the cathedral, is right by a strip of restaurants and entertainment. I stayed at the superior room with a balcony overseeing the palace and the calle el Conde is right next to it. The room is beautiful but the has no elevators, there’s a lot of stairs, doesn’t include breakfast, and the room has no coffee maker but there’s a famous restaurant in the first floor. Is also very affordable for how emblematic this hotel is.

Usually, I am not the type of person to leave negative reviews, but this experience really needs to be shared.
The only positive aspect of this hotel is its excellent location in the heart of Zona Colonial, and the restaurant downstairs, which is good and affordable.
Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. I made my reservation through Expedia, and when I arrived, the front desk clerk said he couldn’t find my reservation because the internet was slow. After some time, he assigned me a room. I went to sleep, only to be woken up at 12:30 a.m. by a phone call from the same clerk, who told me he had made a mistake and given me the wrong type of room. He mentioned that he could be charged for the error, abruptly hung up, and said he would try to fix it.
Shortly before 1:00 a.m., a security guard knocked on my door and asked me to pack my belongings and move to another room. The new room they assigned to me had a dirty floor, which made the situation even more frustrating.
I’m not sure if the staff was having a particularly bad day, but this level of disorganization and lack of consideration for guests is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The location is great, but unfortunately, that is not enough to make up for the poor service and overall experience.

This hotel is terrible, I would never recommend. Fisrt thei put me in a room that was flooding from the rain, my luggage got wet, then they moved
Me to a room that was not properly clean, the minibar was not restocked and they charge mefor the hole minibar becase they assumed I ate all the candy. I kept expaining I didn’t, but they still charged me for it. Overall, a terrible experience.

The stay was great, but the hotel didn’t have an elevador, so it was a little difficult to get my luggage to the room and even though they have someone who can help, be aware that for older people can be a little difficult to go up and down the stairs. The room was beautiful and clean, but a little noisy due to be on the Main Street. The hotel is walking distance from restaurants, gift shops, museums, grocery stores, and the ocean (no the beach).

It was a great stay except that the tv wouldn’t work. Front desk came and tried but to no avail. He said he will tell his supervisor. I checked out the following morning and there was no mention about the issue we had. Could have given us a breakfast on the house or some kind of gift. We came back to our room early to watch a movie. He said the other rooms have signal.

We loved staying at the Conde de Penabla right in the heartbeat of colonial sector. There was so much to see within walking distance and we could have extended our 2 night visit to 3 to take it all in. Plaza Colon was so entertaining with music all day. Only criticism was the hotel does not supply free drinking water, not even filtered water for water bottle fill up. But excellent otherwise!

This is my favorite property in the entire DR. It sits in the middle of one of the more prominent historical districts in the country. It is extremely safe and includes everything you would need on vacation, replete with restaurants, pharmacies, a casino, grocery stores and many of the fast food chains, like Burger King, Pizza Hut, and KFC. lots of sites to explore including alot of local art. The hotel is small but beautiful and the staff is always very nice, professional and accommodating.

The little town of “Mestas de Con” has a couple of restaurants that we think are highly recommended: “Casa María” and “San Martín”. You can take a look at them on Tripadvisor.

The first of them is very suitable for breakfast, and opens its doors at 9. In addition, there is also the typical small town store where you can buy all kinds of groceries, and which opens at 8.

It is especially recommended to take food for excursions or for the room. San Martin is very pleasant to have dinner in its garden or have a drink if you don't want to drive.

All this is located a few meters from the hotel. It is also located in a very pleasant rural setting to go for a walk or go for a walk along the adjoining paths with your pets.

We are right in the center of eastern Asturias, in a fantastic position to get to know everything this area has to offer: Covadonga and the lakes, Cangas de Onís, Arriondas with its descent of the Sella in Canoa, the Cabrales region and all the Picos de Europa in general, in addition to the coastal councils of Ribadesella and Llanes.
