A Pleasant and Enjoyable Stay!

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Ariane Montparnasse during our recent trip. The staff were exceptionally attentive and courteous — especially at check in, and the breakfast host, who made each morning a pleasure. Unclear of standard, but I noticed that the dishes were ceramic and glass and washed on site. A big difference from American hotels that use single use plastic consistently.

The hotel is in a quiet area but conveniently located, just a pleasant 5-7 minute walk from two different Metro stations, making it easy to get anywhere in Paris. Our room was well-appointed, spotless, and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. I loved the use of a glass water bottle in the room again to reduce single used plastic.

Yes, the listing photos were taken with a wide-angle lens (as is standard for most hotels), but the room was exactly as described — cozy, clean, and thoughtfully arranged. Plus, I enjoyed the terry cloth robe.

Overall, a lovely boutique hotel experience with warm service and great value. Highly recommend!

Was a very good location for visiting Versailles and the catacombs which were important to me on this particular visit to Paris. Staff on reception were friendly and breakfast was good. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed.

Very nice stay. Hotel in a good location, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy parts of Paris (which we prefer), but still with easy access to the tourist hotspots, and plenty of lovely restaurants nearby.

Staff extremely warm and welcoming, rooms well equipped if a bit small, but that’s standard with Paris. The rooms always seemed clean and well maintained too.

Overall incredible value for money for an average of £100 per night, and hope to return later in the year!

The hotel is absolutely lovely in lots of ways, but the rooms aren’t sound proof and you can hear much of what’s happening in your neighbours room. Also the brekky options for vegans are quite limited.

The price of the stay does match the expectations, but the staff didnt. I really hope no one will have to deal with the shock we had too ,when we arrived to hotel. The receptionist took us to room 304 and left us to it, when the room was already taken by other guest.. we was left in someone else room with their belongings ... i hope the people who stayed at that room have been made aware of it..
Other than that good place to stay for one night when you traveling. The main attractions is not to far from the hotel, around 50 minutes walk or 15 minutes traveling with public transport.

Definitely needs a kettle in the rooms and specially when you are staying in January.

Good location in MontParness. The people were very friendly and the place very clean. The rooms are quite small by American standards but fine for couples. I didn’t get the breakfast at the hotel because there are a bunch of great cafes around the hotel. Go to Alisia round about and just pick one. These usually offer petit dejeuner for less than hotel.
Overall a good place to stay. Would go back.

The staff were very friendly. We landed hours before we could check in, and they let us in our room early because it was ready. The shower didnt drain fast, so we worried about it over flowing, but that was the only problem we saw with our room. It was within 5 mins of a metro station, there was a late night corner store right down thr street, and a nice cafe a few mins walk from thr hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel’s location is great but in the hotel, the furniture is outdated especially in the lobby, the carpet in the room is very old and there is no A/C but there is a small fan. There is a lot of restaurants and small stores around the hotel and the metro could take you any place in Paris.

Noisy, Dusty, and Deceiving

Expedia you said that this was a 3 star hotel, but it's more like a 1.5 Star hotel. The pictures are deceiving and the rooms are dirty! I stayed here for a few nights and upon arrival the room was very dusty; there are giant dust bunnies at every corner of the room, chipped/peeling paint, and the lighting in the room was horrible. We requested the room to be cleaned the next day and house cleaning only removed the trash and the made the bed; there was still dust on top of the headboard and on the carpet. When we realized that the room wasn't going to be fully cleaned we decided to have the Do NOT Disturb sign on the door, and both times the bed was made. Apparently privacy is not valued here. The room doesn't have AC so you're forced to open the windows. Unfortunately our room was facing the back of the hotel where the trash and employee smoke.

Very friendly staff

It was a generally good stay for me and my friend. The hotel was clean and the reception staff were all nice and very helpful. It was relatively near the Metro so it was a good choice.

The hotel does not have A/C so on hot days, it might be uncomfortable for people who like to sleep in cooler temperatures. There is a fan in the room so it helped a bit.

I would still stay in this hotel in the future.

Lovely local neighborhood

This is not part of the usual tourist scene. We may have been the only Americans staying at this hotel. Although in a neighborhood street, still lots of restaurants, supermarket, bank and Metro stops nearby.

Watch out for service fee!

- Got hit with a large fee in addition to the rate, which I didn't see until after I had paid. Much higher than any fee I've ever had on Hotels.com. Very little sound insolation between rooms
+Large room, very good breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Location a little hard to find, but w/in easy walking distance to Montparnasse.

Perfect spot off the beaten track

This was an ideal spot for me and my daughters. The room was tiny (but we expected that) and clean with comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you especially for the tip to visit the creperie down the street - we stayed 4 nights and ended up returning 3 times, having wonderful conversations with the owner. Public transportation is very close by - we enjoyed having access to all of Paris but returning 'home' at night to a more quiet neighborhood. Wonderful!

Don't be fooled by the photos online......

This hotel was okay. The photos that I saw online made it look nicer and more modern that it actually was in person. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. I had to change rooms (my mistake) and both of the rooms I was in had a strange smell to them. The elevator and hallways are very small/tight, so when I tried to change rooms, and the maid cart was in the hallway, I had to jester to her (didn't speak English) to please move the cart out of the hallway so that I could get my suitcase through. It's located in a nice, quiet, neighborhood and is only a few blocks from the Metro. Overall it was a good hotel stay for the price.

Small, smart and spotless. In great location; picturesque, typically Parisian small square close by, and easy access (by Metro less than half an hour from Gare du Nord). Very quiet, in small residential street. Absolutely perfect for us, visiting our son just round the corner. Would have felt a bit cramped, I think, if staying much longer.

Great Hotel within walking distance of amenities.

This hotel gives you a warm welcome from the moment you check in to the moment you check out, complimentary bath items clean fresh towels daily, great check out time , friendly staff, although there either decorating or doing some renovations there was some early disturbance on the one Saturday morning which we could have been informed about. Everything is within walking distance like the metro and buses and bars and if you like to explore and walk then the sites are within 30 minutes of walking distance would stay again if we decide to revisit Paris.

Just what we needed, simple but good

Small room but comfortable and had everything we needed (fan unit, tv, window, comfortable bed, clean etc). Shower was good but not a proper bath (you could sit in it cross legged). I would say very good for the money. Not in the centre of town but 7 mins from 2 different metro stations and a nice area.

We arrived at the hotel after the check in time of 2pm and still had to wait an hour to get into our room. After 30 minutes of waiting we asked if there was another room available and were told no. Shortly after several passengers arrived and were immediately given keys to their rooms. I went back to the front desk and questioned how their room was available and we still had to wait. No logical explanation was given. We continued to wait. We finally get the key to the room and were greeted by the dirty sheets an towels of the previous guests on the desk. Totally disgusting. I asked for the manager and was told no one was around or would be available for a few days. I was not happy with that and nothing was done to make up for the inconvenience. I would not recommend this hotel

The hotel is in a great district of Paris. Close to the Eiffel Tower, a block away from the metro line (easy trip to the Louvre), and parking for your rental car is 2 blocks. There are many local restaurants, patisseries, boulangeries, and shops.

Charming hotel in a quiet area

The charming hotel is located on a quiet residential street, a few minutes walking distance from a Metro station and the nightlife hotspots of Gare Montparnasse area. The staff is pleasant, helpful, and efficient.

The street is quiet enough to sleep with the window open, so that the absence of airconditioning was not a problem despite rather warm weather during my stay. My room was small, but adequate for a single person. Having two people in that space would have been uncomfortable, not in the least because of the limited space for clothing and luggage.

Had 1 double bed & 1 bed room since my daughter is joining a day late. The room was really small but double bed was firm & good. Since this is my first trip and hotel in Paris I can't tell others but it is just ok for sleep. Room was reasonably clean and neat (decorations) and the area is more residential n several bakeries n restaurants are nearby. Only drawback is relatively far from the attractions - u need to take metro every days. The walk from metro was ok if you Don't take M4. Other than that my experience in this hotel was good.

The hotel was fairly small and friendly. It was undergoing some refurbishment during our stay but we were not disturbed by noise, just polythene protection to the stair & corridor carpets. Breakfast was a cold buffet type in small basement room. The hotel was a 5-7 minute walk to the metro and a 12 minute ride to the centre of Paris. All in all a good 3 star hotel in a suburb with reasonable restaurants, bars etc in the area.

Très bon accueil, personnel très sympa. L'hôtel est propre. Le lit est plutot confortable. Aucune odeur dérangeante. Je nai qu'une chose a reprocher, L'hôtel est très mal insonorisé. Nous entendons très bien les voisins de chambre ainsi que toutes l'activité humaine qui a lieu dans les couloirs. C'est le seul point négatif vraiment \"dérangeant\".

C'est un tout petit hôtel avec de toutes petites chambres, mais tout est très propre et confortable. Le personnel est accueillant, disponible et souriant. C'est un peu loin du centre,mais facile à joindre en transport en commun. J'ai adoré découvrir le quartier, Station Denfert-Rochereau à proximité pour RER aéroport.

La moquette dégage une odeur insupportable qui remonte nous avons demandé à changé de chambre. Le personnel a accepté et nous a mis dans une chambre de classe inférieure avec un lit plus petit. Dans la nouvelle chambre il y avait une odeur de parfum d’intérieur tres forte pour camoufler l’odeur de la moquette. C’était tout aussi horrible. Le personnel est sympathique mais je ne reviendrai JAMAIS dans cet établissement.

Très bon (court) séjour. Accueil parfait 24/24, chambre propre, rapport qualité prix, très bon petit déjeuner, très calme, quartier sympa et proche gare Montparnasse.

La 1ere m a ete déconseillée car risque d etre derangé par la sortie des poubelles le matin...
J ai donc pris l autre mais minuscule, des poils dans la baignoire...isolation des bruits inexistante...

Bien dans l’ensemble

Très bien dans l’ensemble , seul bémol l’insonorisation des chambres sinon rien à dire . Bon prix proche de la Gare Montparnasse , commerce à proximité . Personnel très accueillant et sympathique
