I stayed in The Chiang Mai Riversid Hotel from 30 Nov to 03 Dec 2025 the hotel is Great Thai Hotel, Highly complementing the staff at this hotel, they are welcoming, sincere, formative, attractive and attentive and helpful. They beyond excellent, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They took great care of us throughout our visit. The service made our experience feel warm and comfortable. The breakfast was great, a lot of food and good variety. Room was great and fantastic. The bed was firm, and the pillows were relatively comfortable. The only comment is that the bathroom was dark and the shower area too small, recommend to install rain fall shower instead of normal shower. If I get the chance to go back to Chiang Mai, I would 100% stay at this hotel again. Well done, team, keep up the good work

One of the best places we have ever stayed. It was a few minutes from downtown but we had the hotel driver take us to several areas in town on our request. He was not only on time but early every day waiting on us. . The staff went out of their way to help with all our needs. My wife’s shoes were severely wet from a Toto the National Park and the staff helped with an extra fan so the she’s would be dry before or our flight in the morning. The rooms and service are well deserving of a five star rating. We left for a five star hotel in Phuket and the Chiang Mia Riverside is head and shoulders above the hotel in Phuket. Thank you Chiang Mia Riverside for such a great experience. We may not be back to Chiang Mia but we will refer our family and friends who plan on visiting.

This hotel is truly the best choice for your stay! The staff is incredibly welcoming and provides top-notch service, while the cleanliness is impeccable 100% on both. Although the hotel is about 3-4 km from the market, transportation is very affordable with Tuk Tuk and Grab. If we ever return, this will undoubtedly be our first choice.
The rooms are well-equipped with a dining table, gas stove, and a TV loaded with applications, plus complimentary water bottles. The view from the room is fantastic, adding to the overall experience. The hotel perfectly blends luxury and boutique-style interiors, making for a comfortable and stylish stay. Don’t hesitate to book your stay here, and you’ll absolutely love it!

We were picked at the airport by hotel staff and it was very convenient. We had a nice welcome at the reception with the fresh coconut drinks and cake for our honeymoom, the room set up was very nice and cozy. We also loved the al carte breakfast. Fuse was very helpful in booking us a private tour for the Wat phra temple.

The staff was amazing and accommodating. This location is pretty discrete but we ended up loving it because it was easy to get out of for the day. Plus side there’s a 7-11 across the street. The pool was well kept and there’s a restaurant attached. I would recommend including breakfast into your stay.

We LOVE this property! The staff are super friendly and the food is always great! They really do go above and beyond for the cost is amazing! The location is about a 20 min drive out of central old town but we hired a driver all times of the day and night and we were fine! I stayed here alone with my 7 year old and were completely safe! its perfect for couples and is surprisingly quiet! there is a small bar over the road we didnt even realize until a werk after our stay 😂 a 7 /11 is nearby and the apartments have a regular large fridge and microwave fully stocked kitchen. the Big C supermarket is humbly inexpensive with every food but the chef at this property is amazing! I recommend eating at their restaurant and adding the free breakfast option. They have a sister hotel in Old Town with a spa and a travel agency to book any thing you need! May i also recommend the tiger temple Mama Noi Cooking School and of course the Wat tours which are endless! Again perfect for couples and Solo book writing travellers, small groups and well single mom on a cultural tour with her son! Highly recommended to call the hotel if u need a hand with transportation. Advanced english and understanding, Perfect phone service, blackout backup lights, not 24hr reception but 24hr security guard who actually patrols! Perfect internet and phone and very safe. 👌💜

Overall a pretty good hotel stay in Chiang Mai

Pros: Large suite with a kitchenette, very nicely appointed. The service was great! We visited during a very tough period with Thailand starting to have Covid cases again but the staff was very warm and accommodating. Breakfast was served in the room with a very nice setup.

Cons: Bathroom was small and had a bad smell. It wasn't anything too bad but it was out of character for the rest of the property. Also breakfast looks nice but it was barely acceptable in taste.

Nice place, We got free upgrade to the larger room for the first and second day, that was amazing. However we need to change the room for the third and the fourth day. The staff told us we need to change the room on the second day. It will be better if they told us when we check in because we didn't expect an upgrade or room change. The rooms both good but the original one we booked only one bathroom so that is inconvenient for four of us. There is no convenient store nearby, the roads are dark, it takes around 15 minutes by taxi to downtown. Quiet but not convenient for tourists.
However, I love the design of the room, elegant, clean and large space in common area, staffs are friendly.

Clean luxurious room with all the amenities. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly. They even went out of their way to obtain us cheaper transportation when it was obvious that the local taxi was outrageously expensive. The food and drinks are great with very attentive staff. Their sister property in the city has a great spa with excellent services. Once you are in the room, you don't want to leave since the rooms are so nice! You feel like you are in your own house, only with more luxury. My only negative comment would be the actual location of the hotel as you are away from any restaurants or stores. However, this could also be a plus if you are looking to be secluded and away from unnecessary distractions.

The place is quiet and well-maintained. I just love the room I was staying at... It's on the ground floor next to the swimming pool. It's very spacious and has all the utensils and supplies I needed. (I was on a work holiday and so stayed at my room most of the time doing writing. The cooking utensils were just right for making simple meals for myself). I also love the Bistro. The food was great though I realized that the menu was about the same as last year's (I came with a friend to stay for 4 days last May). But, that's okay. I cans till sample different dishes offered on the menu. I like the idea having the restaurant right next to the river with half it in with open air and half inside an A/C area.

Love the high-tech of TV inside the room only that I didn't know how to search for the music channel (with a very nice selection) on display when I checked in. I could have asked the hotel front desk staff for help but it'd be nice if there's some simple instructions provided as part of the hotel manual...including the number we could dial for the services (I might have overlooked this if these were placed in my room).

The swimming pool is great. It is a bit small, but it's good for the size of the hotel. I was the only person using it anyway. :)

I guess the only thing that I find a bit inconvenient is the transportation/location. But, I that was compensated for taxi and tour services I hired from the front desk.

Wonderful stay at a service-oriented hotel

We absolutely loved staying at The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel. The main reason was the service. The staff was always ready to help you in any way they could, and everyone was very friendly.
One of the best perks and a highlight of our stay was having breakfast in our room at no additional cost. The night before you put in your order, choosing from 9 different options including Thai, Chinese, and Western style options. Then, at your chosen time, they deliver the meal to your room including setting up your entire table. It was a very similar experience when we ordered room service for dinner. The cost was the same as going to the restaurant (a little expensive, but not horrible), and they would deliver it to the room and set up our table for the meal.
There were only two negatives during our stay. One is the location. It's not around much, and you have to drive to get to all of the activities in and around Old City. However, they make up for this by offering rides to and from Tha Phae Gate whenever you want from 7am-9pm. You just have to call them when you need a ride back and they'll be there in ~20 minutes. The second negative was the fitness center because it's basically just 1 treadmill and 1 stationary bike. There are no weights machines and only on set of 5lb free weights.
All of that being said, we are definitely going to be bake here if we ever visit Chiang Mai again (or possibly their Old City location which is coming soon)

A luxurious getaway stay by the river

The rooms are clean spacious, modern and chic and right next to the river. We had fabulous view of the river and poolside. We ordered breakfast in our room which was lovely (and they have an good selection too). The WiFi is excellent and all toiletries are provided. We had an evening meal and drinks at bar overlooking the river which was just perfect for unwinding. The hotel service was impeccable throughout: friendly, professional and efficient. We arrived a few hours early and checked in immediately. Also we requested a late check out given our flight was at night and we got to check out at 4pm which was nice. Incidentally the hotel provides a complementary shuttle to the old town/surrounding area which only takes 10mins so you can easily explore the old town, night markets etc. We wanted a relaxing getaway and this hotel was just perfect.

Book this hotel!

We loved staying at this hotel during our visit to Chiang Mai. Everyone at this hotel was very friendly throughout our entire 3 day stay, we were always greeted each morning when we left for the day and each evening when we came back with smiles on all of the staff’s faces and they always asked how our day was (not something we’re used to in the US). Our room was huge and clean and definitely made coming back from a long day more relaxing. They provide a free area shuttle service which we took to and from the night bazaar that also has complimentary water bottles. The location of this hotel isn’t really close to anything if you like to leave and walk to nearby restaurants and activities, but it’s definitely a place worth staying at! Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Riverside Hotel and would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. It is in the quieter part of Chiang Mai but there are restaurants close by that you can visit by taxi. There is also a big shop across the road.
The hotel staff were very friendly and suggested things to do. Breakfast needs to be ordered the night before and can be served in your room.
We had dinner at the hotel and enjoyed it thoroughly, presented well too.
A massive thanks to the staff!

Five star plus boutique hotel

We had an incredible 4 day stay at this boutique hotel with our two young kids. We highly recommend this place to everyone because the hotel rooms are luxurious, beautiful, comfortable and look exactly as the pictures. The pool is warm, clean and safe and we used it daily. The restaurant is outstanding fine dining with high quality food; worthy of a Mitchell Star award, without the high prices.

Most importantly, all the staff here were incredibly warm, welcoming, happy to accommodate our needs. The manager, Jennifer was so hands-on and attentive; she even had someone pick up medicine for my 4 year old's mostique bites. Our butler, Knew was always cheerful and happy to help us with everything. He arranged all our activities, like Elephant sanctuary, cooking class, transportation, restaurants. Knew even accommodated our picky eaters and entertained our kids often. The restaurant, Vorra Bistro is amazing;they used high quality ingredients and creative presentation and accommodated the kids. Our waiter, Kan, was very knowledgeable about the food he served us. Do not forget to take a cooking class with Chef Noi and Mama Noi; they are fabulous. We have eaten at many Mitchell Star restaurants in San Francisco and the food here by Chef Noi and Mama Noi is worthy of Mitchell Star award.

We hope to return to this boutique hotel with our other family members. We loved this place so much that we took the hotel brochure for our siblings.

The hotel is nicely equipped, except for having no hair conditioner in the bathroom. When I called the guest service about it, they said They don't offer it. What? No hair conditioner offered? I was told to purchase it from them. I don't understand this at all. Front office team needs a lot of training starting from phone etiquette. Best part of this hotel is 'Food'. Both western and Thai dishes are very tasty. Location is not so good. No spa service offered. We will not return

CAUTIOUSLY ENTERED THAILAND FOR FIRST TIME NOT KNOWING WHAT TO EXPECT
THE HOTEL AND STAFF PUT US AT EASE. THE SERVICE, THE ACCOMODATIONS AND AMENTIES ARE ALL 5+ STAR RATING. AFTER TRAVEL TIME OF 30 HOURS IT WAS SO REFRESHING TO ENTER AND BE GIVEN PERSONALIZE SERVICE FROM THE MINUTE WE WALKED IN. THIS IS A NEW HOTEL AND THE MODERN DECOR WAS IMPECABLE. WE WERE TIRED AND ROOM SERVICE AND MEAL AND WINE WAS EXCELLENT.
ALL MEALS WERE FANTASTIC AND DECIDED TO DINE THERE INSTEAD OF OTHER RESTAURANTS. STAFF CALLED YOU BY YOUR NAME. ON OUR THIRD DAY, MY WIFE WAS ILL AND THE MANANGER PERSONNALLY DROVE US TO A PHARMACY. YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT.

Great stay -- would come back

We had a great time at the Chiang Mai Riverside. The staff were incredibly attentive and the facilities were amazing. We stayed for 3 nights and every night we were treated very well. We also enjoyed using the pool and the Apple TV services. Future guests should be notified that the hotel is around a 15 minute drive from The Old City (where all of the night markets are) and there are not many things to do immediately around the hotel. However, the hotel offers a free shuttle at 11 am, 3 pm, and 7 pm that also picks up from the old city around those times. Our only wish would be to have more shuttle times, particularly after 7:30 pm because many of the night markets don't start until 6 pm and it is very annoying having to haggle with taxi drivers who insist on charging more because the hotel is \"out of the city.\" Regardless, we had a great time and would come again.

Very good Thai restaurant up the road. Modest looking foot massage shop was cross the street. 7-11 a short distance away. Room was spacious and very nicely decorated. Ate breakfast at the adjacent restaurant. Listened to the birds and watched the silt-laden river roll by. In the evening, we enjoyed a complimentary cocktail while watching tiny bats clear the air of insects. Little lizards hunted from the ceiling. Great break from the city, especially if you plan to work with retired and rescued elephants at the Nature Park.
