Absolutely BEAUTIFUL HOTEL!!! The staff is SO sweet, helpful and trustworthy. The rooms and common areas are just lovely. Comfy places to relax. Pool is amazing. Breakfast is delicious. Family friendly. We had our 1 year old with us and our friend had their 6 and 9 year old. Such a hidden gem of a place to stay in Chiang Mai! We are truly so glad we found this place. I highly recommend Hongkhao Village to anyone looking for a smaller, cozy, welcoming, clean and well kept place to stay.

I would give this place 100 stars if I could. What a fabulous, beautiful oasis! Reality of the pools and gardens, breakfast, food and dining area, service, architecture and room comfort were superior to photos and reviews. I truly cannot express how much I enjoyed Hongkhao Village. Service was exemplary. Breakfast exceeded my expectations, and I looked forward to it everyday. Pool and gardens, patios and balconies were magical. Especially at night. A terrific place to stay. I will be back.

Breath-taking

Our stay was amazing from the moment we stepped out of the airport shuttle. The Staff came out to the gate to greet us and help with our luggage. When walking through the gate, you’ll walk into a beautiful oasis of lush garden, gorgeous pool, and stunning Lanna-style houses (traditional Chiangmai architecture). The check-in process was very personable with ice tea as welcome drinks. The staff showed us a map of Chiangmai and how to get around. The room was beautiful with Thai decor and design, but everything was new and clean. It’s a modern twist of traditional Lanna. Every single staff members were kind and accommodating. The only very small negative I have (according to my personal comfort preference) is that the bed is too firm. It seems that firm beds are standard in Thailand though. Our bed in Bangkok was also firm. Overall, I would absolutely return to this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Hongkhao village is amazing!! It is almost magical. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Everything is clean and tidy and it is a beautiful place. It is very kid friendly as the pool shuts down around 9 pm. We cannot wait to go back. It was almost painful to leave! It is a short taxi or tuktuk ride into town, maybe 5 minutes. I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful place to relax while they arent out exploring

We really loved our stay at Hongkao Village. It couldn't have been better! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, set around a wonderful pool that is surrounded by lush plants and ornaments. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, the breakfast is varied and delicious and the staff are so lovely. Tanya, the main receptionist, looked after us really attentively and made us feel very welcome...

Fantastic!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Hongkhao Village! The hotel was small with not many guest rooms, which meant that it was very quiet and peaceful, not much noise from other guests or the surrounding area. Breakfast was fantastic and there were several made to order options. The staff was always super friendly and helpful during our stay. The pool area is also beautiful and surrounded by trees, it was great to just sit and enjoy being there! Only con was that the surrounding area did not have many options nearby in terms of food or convenience stores, so a motorbike or short taxi ride is needed to get closer to that stuff, which is not far is you are not walking. The surrounding are not having much did add to the quiet and peacefulness though. 10/10 would recommend to friends.

My partner and I stayed here during the Loy Krathong and Yee Peng Festival. We wanted to be close to the main bridge along the Ping River but not in the heart of the action. It was about a 10 minute bike ride. Everything about this place was top notch. They even put on activities during the festival such as Krathong making contest so we felt really apart of it. This is a special place to stay. Stay here if you want relaxation, have time to chill by the pool, otherwise you might as well stay somewhere closer to the city but it won’t have the same special family ‘feel’.

We had a wonderful time at Hongkhao Village. The room and the hotel are beautiful, and the staff are lovely and very attentive! It is not the most conveniently located if you are looking to be right in the action, but it was a perfect and relaxing location for us on our last night in town.

This hotel is great for the money, although we went when there was an area under construction, they were very careful to avoid making noises to early or to late at night. We staid here 4 nights, with breakfast included (great scrambled eggs btw). I got to say that the staff made us feel very comfortable, specially Joy. On our first day, we had a day tour reserved for the following morning, they were going to pick us up early in the morning(7:30am), so we weren't going to make it to breakfast (since breakfast starts at 7:30am) Joy knew this, so when we were on our way out to our surprise she was waiting for us and handed us a plastic bag with fruit, waffles, waters, and yogurt (everything in boxes to go) so that we wouldn't go on an empty stomach. This just tells you they go the extra mile to take care of their customers. Needless to say the villas are very clean and with a lot of space, and the pool was good size and clean. This hotel is not too close to the city center but is a 10 min ride from the airport and 5 to 10 min from the city center and night markets. Overall great place, I would definitely recommend this to anyone, family and friends and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel and friendly staffs. We were hungry around 10.00 pm and everything was closed. The lady was so nice that she even offered to get food for us. Room was nice and clean. Pool was clean and it was opened until 9.00 pm. Breakfast was nice fresh fruits, sausages, eggs, cereals etc. Overall it was a great hotel.

All Great Except Internet

Beautiful small hotel. Room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Several small extra touches.

Manager (Oy?) was very friendly and attentive and check in and with attempting to help with the internet.

As a business traveler, good internet access is critical. Fortunately, I have my own pocket wifi that I used.

The hotel only serves breakfast, but there are some restaurants a short walk from the hotel and the Jazz Cafe for late night beer & live music. There are also food carts here which is where I ate dinner while enjoying the music (pop, not jazz).

Overall, despite the internet problem, I would recommend this hotel.

Staying at Hongkhao Village was amazing! I really love the decoration of the hotel, bed was very comfy ,swimming pool looked great but unfortunately i didnt have enough time to swim,, so i will definitely come back and spend my time here again!!
Anyway, There is only one poor thing . Not many choices for breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. It was a little out of town but the beautiful buildings and the Lanna style buildings and the atmosphere they have created was great. It was cosy, friendly and the staff went out of their way to help us whenever we needed anything. They were making some renovations when we were there so they can have a restaurant.

Peaceful retreat

The room and the hotel are exceptional -spacious Thai decor with a nice patio for our door sitting and a large restroom.
It was exceptionally clean and a peaceful rratreat from the hustle and bustle. The included breakfast with some western options (toast yogurt and fruit) and the serene swimming pool,were perfect for my children.
There is nothing to see in close walking distance but the friendly staff will help set up a ride to your destination or can help book excursions.

This place is a hidden gem

This place was amazing. The location is a little bit outside of the city, but close enough to where the taxi was only 20 baht. When you arrive they open these beautiful wooden doors, that holding a paradise behind them. There are lots of beautiful trees and a gorgeous swimming pool.
Every morning breakfast is prepared in the outdoor dining area, which has a lovely view of the property. Guests are able to sit outside and socialize with other guests. The food is delicious.
The rooms are very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and bottled water was provided. Any requests that we had, were immediately addressed by Ping. She took care of all of our needs and continously asked how they could improve. They even took us to the airport four hours after we checked out.
I can't say enough how wonderful this place was. We will definitely be staying there again on our next visit to Chiang Mai.

Beautiful and price-worthy oasis in the outskirts

Our stay at Hongkhao was a positive surprise. A really peacefull oasis, with a nice pool just outside the few rooms. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly, much thanks to the professional and extremely helpfull staff named Pink. She was happy to help us with small and big matters in a way. The only negative thing to say about the place is its location. As it is new, the taxi driver had some difficulties to fined it as it is a bit hidden in a residential area in the outskirts of Chiang Mai. The distance to the centre was also a bit awkward - you had to arrange transport to and from the city, but it's not expensive, and in our case, it was worth it. Very price-worthy. Good breakfast. Pink had us to book a car for very good price, by which we toured to Chiang Rai. Coming back to Chiang Mai, it was easy to decide where to stay the last nigth before flying back to Bangkok.

Koselig velholdt intimt hotell. Høy kvalitet og godt vedlikeholdt. Flott service. Veldig god og variert frokost. Ligger litt for langt fra sentrum for å gå dit. Området rundt er ikke spesielt koselig, men det merker du ingen ting til når du er inne på hotellområdet. Det ligger en fin thai restaurant ved elva like i nærheten.

這是四合院似的渡假旅館，房客通常會躺在房間門口前的躺椅享受芬多精，不過如果旁邊住的是有小孩的家庭，那吵雜就難免了。整體感覺有些狹窄，不過氣氛還是很好。買東西或吃飯要過橋，在假日飯店附近有7-11，也有公車兩方向都可坐。早餐好吃，推薦。網路很難接上，ipad連訊號都沒有。

Die schönste Oase von Chiang Mai

Dieses kleine, aber feine Hotel ist traumhaft schön. Es liegt relativ zentral und man kommt mit einem Red Taxi problemlos schnell in die Innenstadt. Die direkte Umgebung lässt einen solch wunderschönen Ort im ersten Moment gar nicht erwarten, aber man öffnet eine schöne alte thailändische Holztür und steht in einem idyllischen Garten mit Pool und drum herum die renovierten, typischen alten thailändischen Holzhäuser mit liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmern. Egal wo dein Blick hinfällt findet man immer eine schöne, geschmackvolle Dekoration. Man kann sich dort nur wohlfühlen und die Mitarbeiterinnen und der Service dort sind hervorragend: umsichtig, überaus freundlich, stets hilfsbereit, liebenswürdig, zuverlässig. Ich kann wirklich nichts kritisch anmerken und das aus voller Überzeugung. Wenn ich wieder mal nach Chiang Mai fahre, dann würde ich wieder nur dort unterkommen wollen. Gegen dieses kleine Juwel von Hotel kann jedes 4 Sterne Hotel einpacken.
