The room was clean and absolutely beautiful. The architecture and decor were simply exceptional. The calm and tranquility of the hotel at night was so perfect. The staff were among the best in Thailand that we experienced. They helped us arrange a car for a day of sightseeing, made an amazing breakfast, and were so accommodating and friendly! This was the best hotel we stayed at in Thailand by far.

I was expecting much better hotel after reading all the reviews. Mosquitoes in the room and no we did not leave the door open. Make sure u bring a bug/mosquitos spray while u are eating breakfast and don’t expect a fancy breakfast, there is no capuchino or latte over here, just black coffee, a fruit bowl an omelette with a tiny sausage. No bar, no restaurant on the property, it is kinda boring after few hours. Make sure u don’t loose the key. They wanted to charge me $60 for the key. I can buy a whole set for $15/20 at the most. Lucky me I was able to find the key to avoid this ridiculous charge. However I want to give them 5 stars for the amazing hospitality.

Our hotel room was comfortable, clean and a little piece of heaven! It was a favorite hotel during our two week trip all over Thailand! Highly recommend! Only downside is that it is slightly outside the city centre (most tours wouldn’t do pick up from here), but everything is 10-15min away with a car/scooter ride. Would stay again

What a gem! The hotel is beautifully appointed, with very comfortable beds, linen, etc.. In a country that excells in hospitality, the staff stood out for their helpfulness. I received help in booking day trips, and even with braiding my daughter's hair. Not an amazing area immediately around the hotel, but they provide excellent room service (even if the menu is limited), and a taxi to one of the \"walking streets\" is very inexpensive.

I have to say staying at the Amata Lanna Village made our trip to Chiang Mai! This was truly one of the best places we have ever stayed at while traveling anywhere in the world. From the minute you walk in you are welcomed and appreciated. The rooms: Beautiful décor with teak wood floors, plenty of space, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast: Beautiful outside area near the pool. There is a list of options to choose from. My favorite was the bowl of fresh fruit you receive each day when you sit down. The location: 10 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes Grab to get to the night market area, etc. There are not a lot of walking distance things to do (we did find amazing local Thai restaurants, 7-11, Craft Beer bar, massages and street food down the street) BUT Grab is so inexpensive and doesn’t take long to get anywhere. The Staff: The front staff treats you as if you are their family and/or friend. They know your name very quickly and make sure you have what you need. They give you advice on where to eat, what to do, help you with a Grab, etc. I just can’t say enough about our time spent here.

Wonderful staff and beautiful rooms. This hotel is close to old Chiang Mai so it is easy to visit the markets and the old city. The breakfast is excellent. If you are able to, book your room with the free breakfast, otherwise it costs about 800Baht for the two of us. The air conditioner in the room was very quiet and worked well.

A real gem in the outskirts of the old town

We stayed at several hotels while in Thailand. This one was my absolute favorite. Tucked away on the outskirts of the old town, you can get a glimpse of regular Thai living outside the walls of the hotel, away from the tourist traps of downtown. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. For me, returning to Amata Lanna Village after a day of exploring felt like coming home. Both gorgeous and cozy, my one regret is not spending more time relaxing by the poolside or in their quaint treetop bungalow. Highly recommend if you prefer being away from the crowds at the end of the day (but just a short drive away when you're ready to sightsee again).

Umi & Nina were wonderful & called for most of our taxis (aside from the ones when we were already out). We did not wanted to leave last night, feels like a home away from home. The staff is so friendly and hospitable. The room was large and cozy with traditional Thai vibes. The hotel is small which is great for quiet nights. They have a nice cool pool for those hot days. Opt in for the breakfast option as you will not regret it. They have some variety and you are always welcome to have more during your meal. If you arrive with no ideas on what to do in Chiang Mai, the host is super knowledgeable on the best places to tour and eat. We followed several of her recommendations. Love my experience there. Even upon checking out we were going to check the area and take our luggage, the host was so kind to store our luggage so we can explore freely and come back for it later. 10 out of 10 experience.

Such a beautiful hotel! The staff is some of the nicest and accommodating I’ve ever met, helping me get a taxi and WhatsApp messaging me restaurant suggestions. The room is beautiful and truly feels like you’re staying in a villa. The pool is lovely and while you have to take taxis basically anywhere, they’re very cheap especially on Grab. However there’s a few cafes and a market nearby should you just want to grab something close. We actually had some great crêpes from a spot that was walking distance from the hotel. I definitely enjoyed my stay here more than the one in the Old City, as you can tell they care a lot about the guests and keep the rooms very clean.

This is one of our all-time favorite places to stay anywhere in the world. Located outside Chiang Mai it's removed from the noise and hassle of the city, yet it's still easy to come and go by asking the front desk to order a car (Lyft, Grab). The breakfast is lovely, served in an open air Sala. The staff is incredibly respectful, kind and gracious. The building and rooms showcase Lanna Thai teak carvings and indigenous fabrics. Do not confuse this place with another hotel with nearly the same name that is in the city. Be sure to book the one that has \"Village\" in the name.

The property is small and boutique like (just 14 rooms), very nice and top quality. The staff are what makes the property so nice. Yumi, the manageress could not do enough for us, but also all the other staff too were so nice and welcoming. Breakfast almost seemed like having your own personal chef. The only down sides with the property are what quite a few other guests have commented on, and that is the fact that the hotel is quite a way out of town (a taxi needed both directions), and that the hotel is so close to a noisey road. The air con was useful to drown out the noise.

This hotel is the best hotel we have ever stayed in! We have stayed in some nice hotels in the past but this is by far the best place we have ever stayed. It is so incredibly idyllic! There are only 14 rooms and when we stayed they did not have many guests due to the effects of covid. I think we only saw one other couple the whole time we were there and we had the breakfast area to ourselves everyday. The staff are amazing, they go above and beyond in everything they do and are always on hand should you need them. When we arrived at the hotel we immediately felt a sense of relaxation, it is so peaceful. The breakfast was the best we have on our travels and was ordered the night before and then served fresh to us at our chosen time the next morning. I would recommend the mango rice, the fresh yogurt with muesli and their coffee! We wanted to stay for longer! I am afraid we will now compare every stay to this one! If you are unsure of where to stay - I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

An amazing beautiful peaceful hotel

I had an amazing stay at Amata Lanna Village. This is an absolutely beautiful small luxury hotel on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. The ladies that were working there were so kind and so helpful. The rooms, the pool, and the grounds were beautiful, peaceful, and so comfortable.

I was a little concerned about booking a place not right in the middle of town. But that ended up being a great decision because it meant there was very little of the city noise. And it was only a ten-minute inexpensive Grab ride into town. That meant I slept like a baby on the very comfortable bed with no loud city noise.

The room, 1 of 14 I believe, was as luxurious as any I've experienced in 48 countries of travel. Beautiful teak furniture, a large bathroom with a spa bathtub, a mini-split air conditioner that was so cold in the hot summer mugginess, and very well insulated walls where I heard nothing from the outside.

The morning breakfast was custom-made. They provided laundry service at a very reasonable 150 baht per kilo which took care of all my dirty laundry. Most hotels charge per item which is absurd. The service and hospitality was so lovely. This may be my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at. You'll love it here.

This is an exceptional boutique hotel with 14 rooms. Beautiful teak wood work and a staff that takes a personal interest in their guests. An outdoor eating area that serves a memorable breakfast. We were in Chiang Mai for three days, during which we visited the Sunday night market, attended a Thai cooking class, and visited a local pottery factory. An elephant santuary will follow on our next visit---it was too hot this time!

What an incredible boutique hotel. Even though this hotel is not far from the bustling city center of Chiang Mai, you will think you've been transported to another place and time. The Lanna style architecture is something to behold. The woodwork and attention to detail in every aspect of this hotel is amazing. The room was perfect in every way: clean, comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. The bathroom was the BEST! The jacuzzi tub was so relaxing and the shower was superb. However, the best feature of this hotel is the service! The staff here goes way above and beyond of what is to be expected. Even though we only stayed 2 nights, we felt like family. This place is pretty amazing for the price. It's very clean and the staff was fantastic. They have cook to order breakfast with a cozy area to eat. Everything associated with the hotel stay was great.
The only downside is that the neighborhood is a bit from the old town. It's a 30-100bht trip in a red truck cab ($1-$3) that takes 5-10 minutes. There is a street food area a minute walk away for a low key evening snack.

Amata Lanna Village is a perfect little oasis in Chiang Mai! It is so beautiful and peaceful you can easily relax and unwind at the end of the day. It’s about a 10 min taxi/tuk tuk ride outside of Old City and the tuk tuk drivers sometimes need help finding the hotel but it’s definitely worth it. There’s a market just down the street and around the corner with delicious street food and rotee. Also breakfast is really good and you get to eat it right out in the pretty courtyard by the pool. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. All in all I’m super glad we chose to stay here! My only complaint is that the pool is FREEZING.

The staff was great. Their service was the best I have ever had anywhere and I travel for a living. The rooms were comfortable luxurious and spotless. The breakfast was great and healthy. This was a paradise. The staff made it as beautiful as the serene setting. WE WILL BE BACK

The staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. Service was 300%, could not be better. Rooms very clean and decoration stunning. Breakfast was superb and serving at breakfast was very good. Absolutely loved the hotel and particularly the staff. Everyone was beyond helpful. The room was clean and beautiful, we had free water, the bed was great and the bathroom very big and beautiful. Overall a very good value for the money. The breakfast was more than adequate. The hotel was very helpful in organizing tours etc. it is a little bit away from the noise of downtown which we wanted. But make sure you have the hotel data to return at night because sometimes the yuk yuk drivers don’t know location-although it was never more than a 15 minute ride. When we booked we didn’t realize we were only 10 minutes from airport so it made departure very convenient. All in all a wonderful stay I. Chiang Mai made better by hotel

This is honestly the nicest place that I have ever stayed. From the very unique design to the finest hardwoods used in all aspects of construction and the furniture. The owner designed the property and is involved in daily operations. She even cooks your breakfast to order by the poolside. The grounds are impeccably maintained and beautifully designed. The rooms are clean and very nicely furnished. I more than highly recommend..I encourage you to stay here!
