Property itself is only average but clean enough and met our needs and is in good location near one of the best areas. Family of five staying in 2 rooms b405 & b407.
Despite booking for 5 people they charged us extra to set up a fold out bed for our youngest.
If you want luxury pay more and stay elsewhere cos this isn’t luxury but the location and pool were good and it provided everything we needed for a busy family who weren’t at the hotel much during the day. Laundry service was good.
Staff were generally helpful when asked.

Room was ok but I went left instead of right off the elevator and discovered my room key opens their doors too! Staff was not helpful nor friendly. I asked to extend my stay and they said they were full…only to discover as I was looking were to go next…they were not full.

About a 10 minute walk to the old city and night market. Super quick WiFi (about 350mb download speed). Nice swimming pool as well. Not much in the way of the immediate surrounding area but a nice quiet place and a walkable distance to the old city. Rooms are also quite spacious.

The hotel is in an area that’s near good restaurants, and easy to find a taxi. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The coffee shop inside is good. If you dislike barking dogs like me, then don’t get a room on the pool side of the building. The house next to the hotel has dogs that bark loudly all day and night. Very annoying….

Jira is a little out of the tourist area which is nice. It’s much quieter. A fantastic night market (Anusan) is a 10 minute walk. The pool area was great on a hot day. Great place for the price.
No safe in the room would be the only negative.

Do not recommend. The lobby smelled like smoke, you could hear everything in the hallways and outside at night. The hotel is not really anything like the pictures and looks like it’s undergoing construction but we never saw anyone working on it. I wish we would have known so we could have stayed somewhere else.

This property is very close to the night markets. It's about a 20 min walk and a 5 minute drive. The place was super clean and I loved that it was set up so that quiet hours were 9pm and on. The staff was very helpful and could speak a bit of English. Overall super satisfied with this stay.

Nobody to help with luggage on arrival. Door to my room did not work properly and was stuck in room for a while had to call front desk and have maintenance come up. Bare minimum of furniture for a large room.

They used to have s Buffet Breakfast included....NO MORE

They now have an American breakfast available in the little coffee house for $99 bah but coffee is extra. I had breakfast one morning and it was decent.....so went down the next day and nobody was there with 3 ladies waiting. After 10 minutes I asked front desk where they were....toilet.... I replied that I hope they washed their hands. Young man came and served the 3 young ladies I gave my order and all of a sudden he disappeared again. After waiting another 20 minutes I left very angry and still hungry.

I stayed there before and liked it that’s why I came backs and will NEVER stay there again.

Th lobby and pool areas were very nice and well kept. The room wasn’t really dirty, but wasn’t as nice. There was a counter in the room that wasn’t clean, small debris, and in the bathroom there were rings for a shower curtain, but no curtain. There was also an unknown brown substance on the lid of the bathroom garbage can. These thing are minor. Overall the property was decent, staff was very friendly. It was nice to have a coffee shop in the lobby.

The hotel room looked nothing like the pictures. The sheets had some brownish blackish stains that I wish I could say it was chocolate.... the bathroom door was completely see through and didn’t have toilet paper. We asked to switch the sheets and to add toilet paper. We arrived hours later and our request was ignored. Then we saw bugs and ants. We didn’t feel comfortable enough to stay there and asked for a refund or partial refund but they declined. Fun experience huh!?
Do yourself a favor and stay away!!!

Stayed for 5 nights. Hotel a bit out of way but only 10 min walk to night market ( would be good idea if hotel hired bikes out) Room clean and tidy but no soap provided at sink or plug either. Thin walls to rooms but most people up for trips so not a late night party hotel which suited us although kept awake on 2nd night until 4am with noisy neighbours- luckily a one off!! Pool a welcome additions after the heat of the day- shame only 4 loungers though and could do with cutting down some overhanging greenery which shaded the pool.

Pretty decent does the price

Stayed her for a few nights. It’s a little at from the main square of Chiang Mai but we made it work. The air conditioning was great, and stayed on while we were out of the room so that we could come back to a nice cool room (this was important to us!). The WiFi worked well. The pool was orettt nice. The staff was helpful in getting us a taxi to get to the airport. We did have ants in our room one or two of the days but that could Have been from the food in our trash. Overall, it was good for the price, not spectacular.

Can not fault anything about our stay at Jira. Staff were helpful, breakfast had variety, room clean and bed very comfortable. Close walk to river cruise, walking markets and easy walk to many more places including the Aussie downunder bar which serves cold beer and cheap Aussie meals whilst watching the rugby footy or league. Best massage at Aree which is just around the corner. Overall we really enjoyed our stay completely. Cheers

Very inconveniently located for acces to central city and markets.Hotel staff was not friendly or helpful.
Extremely difficult location from which to get around and go to see various tourist venues.

There are no meter taxi in Chiang Mai. .only red buses street service that very rarely ever passed by the hotel.

There is a 24 taxi call service that worked very well but all trip prices are negotiable.

We asked the hotel to arrange airpor pickup and he never showed up. Then he told hotel he eas there and tried to charge us.

There are plenty of taxi at airport and even the limi service you can book at the exit door is reasonably priced.

We paid 4 days and stayed only two and took the loss we disliked it so much.
Buffet breakfast is a complete joke..we did not eat it.
I would avoid this so called. 'Luxury Boutique'hotel...it is not!

Checking in was super easy. Used a roll away bed which was extremely comfortable. Main Bed was soooo comfortable as well and AC worked amazingly. Only thing was kettle had old milk or something in it, but once we told the staff, the issue was fixed quickly! Would recommend.

Nice walk to night market and the river,

The walk to old town is also very do-able. We had to stay longer in Chiangmai, due to Chinese New Year and we enjoyed the laid back atmosphere in Chiangmai. There were also many things to see and do and coming back to Jira was always comforting! Very helpful friendly staff and a good breakfast !

Take the word luxury out of the Hotel name.

If you think of the word luxury and imagine what that conjures up, well that's everything this hotel ISIN\"T. From the badly laid out foyer to door handles that are almost broken, room doors that don't self lock. Mold in the bathroom. Thick dust under cupboards. Light switches by the door, not near the bed. Roosters that start crowing outside your window (several levels up) LOUDLY @ 5am to 10am + . ( buy them from the owner or put in double glazing) Staff vacuuming with a vacuum cleaner that sounds like a 747 landing @ 7 am Not to mention the school band practice from Regina school opposite. Arghhhhhhhh!
Sparce breakfast with instant coffee (cardinal sin) toast you cook on a grill (they're toasters in Thailand)
There is nothing luxury about the HOTEL AT ALL. It's just a very tiny notch above backpackers!! On the plus side, big room, low price, good location if you don't mind any of the the above. However don't expect a good nights sleep or coffee when you give in to sleeping, when you are jolted from your sleep with all manner of noise starting @ 5am.

We stayed here for four nights, although the hotel is nice, it is quite a walk to the night bazaar and other places of interest, there is not much around the location of the hotel. There is a school right opposite the hotel that plays music early morning and constantly makes a clanging noise over a public address system through out the day.

The breakfast location in this hotel is in a converted car port there is no side to this port so the wind and rain shoots through where you are sitting, and when its raining and cold like it was when we were there, its freezing sitting eating your breakfast. But that dont matter as the breakfast is freezing cold anyway, so we only ate it on one morning.

Also i think this hotel has a lot of residents, as at breakfast majority of the people look like they live there and not very friendly, and look down on you as if you are sitting at there table. its a really weird setup.

The night markets in Chiang Mai are good, but you will need a tuk tuk or taxi to get back to the hotel as after walking for a few hours around the market you certainly wont want to make the walk back to the hotel.

I would not stay here again as its location and breakfast situation is not ideal, I would rather get something a bit closer to town.

Decent hotel close to the Night Bazaar

This was a nice inexpensive hotel located within walking distance to the Night Bazaar. Hotel offered a phenomenal breakfast free of charge and the hotel staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

Two main problems with the hotel is the fact that the Internet does not work within the hotel rooms in addition there is a major problem with the showers on the B side of the hotel. The showers lack proper drainage and as a result the entire bathroom floor repeatedly becomes flooded upon taking a shower. The water pressure is also rather insufficient.

What a lovely stay at the Jira Residence!! We stayed two nights in Chiang Mai and this was a great place to visit. The hotel was clean, quiet, and safe. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is nearby the night market and other restaurants, etc. Breakfast is included and was pretty good (eggs, toast, coffee, fruit, etc). I would definitely recommend staying here- you can't go wrong!

Jira Hotel is a new hotel by the river, close to the night market, but not close to other shopping/eating facilities: walking back at night can make you feel a bit unsafe due to some stray dogs on the road (but it safe to walk at night). I would have preferred to stay closer to the old town. The hotel is clean and simple with an OK wi fi. Good air conditioning system and simple morning breakfast

Enjoyed our stay there, easy to reach the city center and Riverside entertainment area. Helpful staff around, nice (simple) breakfast next door. All in all great package and value for money.
Only disappointment: many mainland Chinese tourists with very rude behaviour in the breakfast room and very noisy in their rooms, shutting doors loudly and talking on the floor until 3am in the night ...

I had a nice 5-night stay. The room is basic but comfortable. The location was great. Easy to walk everywhere or flag down your favourite motorized transport.

There is lots of parking if you rent a car (I did). Very easy to navigate to / from this hotel from anywhere in town or the greater Chiang Mai region.

Breakfast is simple but good. Eggs and toast and fresh fruit.

The hotel is quite new so the rooms are in good condition.The service was good as they quickly respond to our request to change the room as one of them has a bad smell from toilet, probably from bad piping system or bad installation.

The hotel is located in school area so it can be busy in the morning but very quiet at night. It is a bit our of the tourist zone, therefore, getting around the city late at night (after 10pm) can be a little difficult as there are not many taxi around at that time.

Fresh Modern Affordable

Don't write many reviews but I felt this was deserving

Fantastic fresh newly established family run hotel, had a nice time, breakfast is a small simple snack of toast and eggs or jam etc

Plenty places around if looking for something more substantial

Less than 10 mins walk to center of Chiang Mai

Lovely cafe attached with good quality sweets cakes, snacks and drinks
Rooms are generous in size, we had a balcony with decent sized fridge

Simple clean modern accommodation.

Very welcoming

Might even have some musical entertainment from the talented musical family and friends ;)

Value for the money

great hotel well worth the money. The rooms were large and very clean. The hotel staff was very helpful. The only improvement was with the breakfast. It had no variety and was mediocre at best.
