Overall, everything was great. Great food and nice cafes and bakeries in the area. Also, you can reach the center quite fast.

However, the digital lock didn't work properly. It took us 4-5 tries every time to open the room because the buttons were malfunctioning, which was quite irritating. Therefore, I would suggest changing the lock soon.

Other than that, everything was great. Highly recommended.

Hotel was pretty nice. Close to two metro stations 🚉 (Congres and Maragas) which was a plus. Room was clean. They have lockers so if you arrive early before check in, you can leave your carry on 🙌🙌 Area looks spooky at first, but all good. Walked during the night and no issues.

Worth the metro ride!

The location isn't super convenient to sights, restaurants, etc, but it is just a short walk from the Maragall metro stop on the yellow L4 line. Other than the slightly out-of-the-way location, everything about this hostel was fantastic. We had a large private twin room with private bath and a lovely terrace patio for less than it would've cost us for two bunk beds in a crowded hostel dorm downtown. The room was clean, comfy, and quiet. Free wifi, in-room coffee, and bottled water provided. For my money, worth the metro ride!

This is clearly a hostel, not a hotel. The pictures of the rooms did not match my room AT ALL. There was zero decorations, paints or pillows in the room, the bathroom was old and not very nice, also the floor was really cold flagged 80's style floor and not wooden as in every picture seen in the hotel page. There are not so many plugins, so you can't have your phone next to bed charging, the water cooker needs to be used on the floor (it also doesn't stop re-cooking the water over and over again when plugged in so I find it a firehazard, perhaps change it to something that can't cause danger if forgotten plugged to the wall?). There's no small lamps that reach to the beds due to the same problem of lack of plugs, so it means industrial ceiling lights off before jumping to bed.

The aircon didn't give warm air, only cold, so it was freezing in the room - Luckily I was alone so I was able to use double blanket. The noises echoed straight to my room from the hallway and other rooms, my feeling was that the guests were young.

The cleaning was done nicely and the checkin was friendly and good, so no problem with the staff at all. My issue was how the hotel advertises itself, it raised false expectations unfortunately.

Noisy place to sleep

Staying in this hotel is a huge pain because the walls between rooms are paper thin, you can hear anything from your next door, seriously. The lack of a desk is also very uncomfortable. Dead mosquitoes are still hanging on the walls. One good thing, the WIFI signal is strong, super fast.

Not close to the airport at all like stated. It's about 35 minutes away and they do not provide shuttle as stated. They will call you a cab at your expense. Walls are thin and beds are twin size. If traveling with family this area is not good.

It was ok but to far from everything

I found it strange that there was no one at the front desk until 2 pm. If you needed help or assistance you had to wait till 2 pm or get back to the hotel before 10 pm because that's when the staff person left. There was no one there to check you out, and no key cards, what if you got locked out?

I was clean and the room we had was spacious for 4 but we found it a little far from all the sights.

Our stay at House by Pillow was really good. The staff at the front desk were so helpful and nice. The room was so spacious ànd clean. We had ptivacy with 4 people as there wete 2 rooms in our room. Hotel feels like a little home. Front desk is not 24 hrs, but very helpful during their working hours. The hotel was clean, had good firm beds and the front desk people were very helpful showing us all the good attraction and inexpensive restaurants and attractions. They even printed our tickets that we bought online. The location is good if you want to live the spanish life and dont mind walking a bit and taking the metro. Everything is about 5min walk and 20min metro. There is nice terasse in every room i believe and multiple grocery store around if you have a limited wallet. Great experience !

we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. it's 5 minutes walk to 2 metro stations. it's located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to lots of local shops and restaurants. it takes about 10 minutes with metro to get to the city center. staff are highly professional, nice, and responsive to your needs. rooms are cleaned. We booked this room because it was cheap and photos looked OK but we were presently surprised... The rooms are immaculately cleaned every day with new towels and free coffee, tea and even yummy hot chocolate, it is in a cute, quite location filled with restaurants and amazing places to eat a delicious breakfast and it is 2 minutes away from the metro which gets you into the centre in about 20 mins max. The staff are so friendly and even gave us a map and a walk through of everywhere we should visit. I would 100% recommend this hotel and will defo be staying again. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

this is a nice little property, but our room C3, especially the bathroom was tiny. The shower was almost claustrophobic; it was impossible to stand up without hitting either the shower doors or the faucets.
the neighborhood is not nice at all, especially for tourists.
on top of all that, whatever was going on in the city (first week of october 2016), we used to pay 2X, 3X the regular price for this property, so it was not a good experience.

if you can book this place for max 50 euro per night, go ahead. otherwise, the size of the room&the bathroom, and the not-so-nice neighborhood are not worth it.

Fantastic Hotel in Barcelona.

Well designed, well run, friendly staff, helpful staff. You could not want more from a hotel.
Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. And if I have to return I would make this hotel my 1st choice.
The hotel is away from the centre (Consett is the nearest metro station) therefore you can really relax and enjoy the 'true' Barcelona after a day doing the sights.

Too many mistakes.

This is a hostel rather than a hotel, it is misrepresented on hotels.com. It was clean and had a reasonable amount of space, my room also had a balcony and very good air conditioning. Location is quite close to the metro and there are bars and restaurants within walking distance.

The staff were very friendly but didn't seem very competent. They charged me for the room despite having paid in full via hotels.com - after I double checked my booking they then refunded me. I stayed for 3 nights - the room was cleaned after the first night but not after the second. The front door is a code access and I was given the wrong combination.

Despite these errors I would still consider returning given that the price for accommodation in Barcelona is so expensive, but would only stay again if no similar priced alternatives were available.

Comento primero un aviso importante y que a nosotros no nos avisaron: Si llegas después de las 22:00 no hay nadie en recepción, con lo que tienes que entrar con un código que nunca recibimos. Llamamos al teléfono que indica el cartel de la entrada, no vimos otro, pero nadie atendía. Nos veíamos teniendo que pillar otro hotel para poder pasar la noche. Tuvimos suerte que unas clientas que entraban nos dejaron pasar y ya dentro pudimos llamar al teléfono de emergencia que atienden 24h y ya nos proporcionaron el código de acceso a la habitación. Como consejo para el hotel, iría bien que ese teléfono de urgencia estuviera en la puerta de entrada porque, si no hubiéramos tenido la suerte de que coincidimos con otras clientas, hubiéramos tenido que pagar otro hotel y perder la reserva hecha.
Quitando este punto la experiencia fue genial porque encima nos llevamos la sorpresa que nuestra habitación tenía una miniterracita para poder fumar y fue una grata sorpresa porque nos habían dicho que no la tendríamos.
El hotel súper silencioso, la cama comodísima, la habitación súper limpia, el baño es un poco pequeño pero no le quita nada de lo bueno que tenía la habitación. No era muy amplia pero con lo necesario para poder pasar una buena noche. Eso sí, también se hubiera agradecido algún papel dentro de la habitación con la contraseña del wifi, ya que al no encontrar a nadie en recepción, y para no volver a llamar al telf de emergencia, fuimos tirando de datos (nada grave tp) 😉

Nice little hotel with friendly people working there. No breakfast, and we didn’t find any good cafés in the area compensating for that need. But then again, food is not something Spain handles very well, if you don’t love squid and goat cheese. Nice and clean hotel, but one thing to consider in the hot seasons: the air cooler in the room was way undersized. Be prepared to swim in your own sweat!

Bel hôtel, très bien accueilli, chambres bien équipées et spacieuses, bon environnement, bars, épiceries, supérette…
Le seul gros bémol c’est le parking qui ce situe à quelques minutes de l’hôtel et qui coûte la modique somme de 67€ la nuitée ! Et malheureusement aucune place pour se garer à proximité de l’hôtel. De ce fait je me suis garé dans le parking souterrain du magasin carrefour pour 25€ la nuitée, à deux rues au dessus, autrement tout c’est très bien passé, merci pour tout.

Nb: n’oubliez pas d’enregistrer en ligne votre véhicule auprès de la ville de Barcelone minimum la vieille avant votre arrivée !

Receptie is bemand van 14.00 tot 22.00 uur. Wij hadden een onlangs gerenoveerde kamer; niet heel groot maar in prima staat en dus alles prima in orde. Prima bed, maar dunne kussens. Een heerlijke douche en er is een goede föhn aanwezig. Wel echt een nadeel vonden wij dat het enorm gehorig is. Overal ligt laminaat en combi met luidruchtige gasten niet heel prettig en maakte dat we diverse keren wakker werden van overlast; 's nachts en 's morgens vroeg in de ochtend

Bon accueil. Dommage de ne pas pouvoir baisser le store des baies vitrées (rideau + ou - moins occultants) Chambre familiale avec 2 espaces séparés agréable mais dommage que la clim d'une des chambres ne fonctionne pas du coup il faut laisser la porte ouverte entre les 2 espaces.

レセプションの対応時間外の夜にホテルに到着予定だった。そのため、ホテルと部屋に入るために入力が必要なコードを教えてくれるとのことだったが、宿泊当日しかメールで教えてもらうことができず（システム的にその方法しかないとのこと）、乗継および到着空港でwi-fiに接続してメールを確認しようとしたが、接続できずにメールの確認ができなかった。
ホテルへの入り方がわからず大変不安になった（何とか入りコードを確認することはできた）。遠い国からの移動時間や時差もあるため、当日より前にコードを教えてもらえるようにしてもらいたい。

Das Hotel ist ganz süss. Das Mädel an der Rezeption war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der männliche Part eher still und verhalten. Wenn man ein Streifenzimmer will muss man mit Balkon oder Terasse buchen. Wir waren im 1.OG Zimmer A2 und es war noch nicht so super renoviert. Wir hatten eine kleine Terrasse in einem Schacht. war eigentlich ganz cool. Aber vom anderen Zimmer grenzt wohl das Bad an. Es gab einen Wasserkocher mit Instantkaffee, ein Bügeleisen + Brett und einen Föhn. 5 Min von der Metro Haltestelle Maragall und 5 Min zum, Supermarkt SUMA.

+ vriendelijke ontvangst, veel uitleg over wat je kan doen in Barcelona. Alles netjes onderhouden.
koffie en thee op de kamer. kleinschalig. dicht bij de metro!
- dunne muren, wat niet optimaal is als de buren lawaaierig zijn.

Das Check-in war problemlos, die Lage finde ich sehr gut.
Leider jedoch während des Aufenthalts das Badezimmer nicht geputzt, nur das Bett gemacht.
Das war enttäuschend. Ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer wäre top!
Für mich waren die Bilder der Terrasse bei der Buchung irreführend, wir gingen davon aus dass man diese nutzen könnte. Tatsächlich hat nur ein Zimmer (oder zwei?) Zugang dazu.
Das Bett war leider recht wacklig.
