Great location. Walking distance to everything. Staff were friendly. The only issue was the AC unit in our room made random noises throughout the night, so we didn’t get peaceful sleep.

We received a complimentary taxi ride to the airport. Much appreciated!

Perfect stay for a short visit to Chiang Mai. Excellent value for money. Our stay only required us to shower & sleep as we were out exploring and eating out the rest of the time. Breakfast was included and was excellent! Very fresh and healthy. The staff at the hotel were also able to pack a breakfast box for you should you be heading out before the opening of the breakfast cafe in the mornings, as so to ensure that you have something to eat on your travels. This really was thoughtful of the staff. The room was perfect for what we intended to use it for and it was clean and spacious. In terms of value for money, this was excellent! I would highly recommend a stay here, as the staff are all very lovely and kind, the room was clean and comfortable & the value for money was great. It’s easy enough to get a Tuktuk or bolt/taxi should you need one from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for 5 weeks in April/May. The hotel is clean; the staff is professional, helpful and friendly; there is a 24 hr convenience store nearby; several good dining options are within walking distance; Tha Phae gate and the Chiang Mai Gate Market are a bit further but still quite walkable. I would stay here again.

The hotel is on a busy street , however we had a room facing the back of the property and it was very quiet. Excellent location - a few minutes walk to old city.
The beds are very hard. The first pillows we were given were rock hard but the hotel changed them for softer ones.

I really like this hotel, the staff are so friendly and helpful, really lovely. I wasn’t here long so didn’t really get chance to explore the surrounding area but it seems close to things and easy to get around. The room was very clean and had a nice feel to it. My room was overlooking a busy road and you could hear the traffic but it didn’t really bother me. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

The inn is about 15 mins' walk from the Tha Phae Gate, tge hisatoric city wall with a cluster of old temples and shrines to visit. It's also within walking distance from the Kalare night market, a great place to shop for gifts and eat street foot under one roof.

Old City Wall Inn is the perfect stay for a peaceful & cozy experience! The owners & staff were very helpful & gave us the BEST recommendation for Khao Soi!
The location is also great & we were able to walk to many different temples, restaurants, markets, or easily grab a tuk tuk. Would definitely come back!!

It feels like you're in an old family home. With its wooden floors and walls, feels secured here. It's situated within the Old City Walls, so this place overall theme goes with its location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was fee minutes motorbike ride away from street food, temples and shopping. There's also a massage place beside it.

The concierge accused us of stealing one towel as we were checking out. He even made the cleaning lady count the towels in front of us in the lobby as we were leaving. My husband asked to go back to the room to find the towel. And when he did find it (it was hanging in the shower curtain rod), there wasn’t even an apology from the concierge or the cleaning lady. I’m never going back to this place and I’m going to leave a review about this hotel in every place possible on how they baselessly accuse their customers of theft.

Very good hotel and Exceptional service.

Exceptional service. Dropped my credit card in the lobby when leaving. The hotel sent me a message and the managers mother travelled to the airport to get it back to me. It was handed back by the airport staff as I boarded my flight. The hotel itself is clean in good condition well located, and excellent value. Breakfast at the attached cafe is also very good.

I absolutely loved my time at Old City Wall! I wish I could have spent more time there. My room was immaculately clean and spacious, the staff was so kind and the location is great! Only about a 2 minute walk to the square and close to countless delicious restaurants and markets! I will definitely be staying there next time I'm in Chiang Mai. 5 stars for sure🙂

Great hospitality.

The management is great. We stayed here for 6 days. This Inn has 15 rooms and we were the only room that’s occupied for the last 3 days of our stay. They still prepare breakfast for us like usual. On the last day we left to catch the tour bus home but the service was cancelled due to Covid-19 situation which we were not notified, luckily we were able to get a new bus but it doesn’t leave till 8 pm and we need a place to stay till then. The Inn let us stay till then which we really appreciate this act of kindness and understanding of our situation. We stay here last year, we stay here this year and we will stay here again when we return to Chiangmai in the future.

Lobby staff were very helpful with booking transportation for our excursions. When my Grab app did not work, they booked it on their app for me. They also booked a taxi for our 6am flight, advising we head out an hour before departure so we wouldn’t have to wait too long at CNX, of which we greatly appreciated.

Quiet and clean place. Staff speak simple English as well. Decent set of breakfast is served. Walk-up room with foc water n snacks. Bed is hard and pillows are high which is what i like. Lift is for luggages only. Aircon is good and heater works well. Noise level randomly up or down depending on traffic and next door occupiers... 2mins walk to 7/11 & simple restaurants here and there. A chill.lax place to do nothing. Massage places quite a few. Hair salon downstairs is good. Can Grab food n cab anytime so very convenient.
Walked to Sunday Night Market is also within 1.2km. Nearby ride 15mins to Airport which means no jam. No regrets. Thank you!!!

Nice little b&b type of hotel

Overall not a bad place to stay. I needed an inexpensive place to stay for an early flight and this place was perfect. The only issue was noise. If you have a room close to the road, you might find it hard to get to sleep. Also, the building isn't at all soundproof, so you will hear a lot of budget travelers going in and out of their rooms. Make of that what you will. Overall it wasn't a bad place to stay.

Staff super friendly and helpful. We accidentally booked for the incorrect date and they sorted it out calmly and efficiently. Family room with two adjoining bedrooms suited our family perfectly. Good location near to Night Bazaar and city, although little bit noisy as on a main road. Cafe where breakfast provided was cool, with nice decor and relaxed feel. List of the cost of every item in the room was a bit OTT but made us laugh, my daughter studied it intensively.

Lovely hidden gem

The location is like a hidden gem, we actually went past the hotel a few times as it's quite hidden (in a way it doesn't stand out and instead blends in with the other shops and massage parlors.

We loved the hotel, it was in such a good location and convenient enough to travel to the city centre to catch a taxi or a tuk tuk or even the red cars.

I would stay here again if I went to Chiang Mai, it was super clean, aircon worked, good place to dry your clothes outside your balcony as well. WiFi worked great as well.
