The rooms are very spacious and clean, with a large bathroom and shower. Hot water instantly and good pressure. Large bed. Staff are friendly, especially around the breakfast service and the carpark attendant. The lunch/dinner burger restaurant was surprisingly very good and not too expensive. Areas for attention are the floor cleanliness around the breakfast buffet areas, which could use a good scrub every day to avoid the buildup on the red tiles (can see the walkways of staff and guests) and upgrade all outside breakfast tables to have one standard, because the old wood tables are not suitable for breakfast.

Quiet and comfortable little boutique hotel conveniently located in the very quiet and subdued location of Chiang Mai. Walking distance to the night markets and Muay Thai Bar complex when I spent a couple of enjoyable evenings watching the fights, but apart from that the nightlife is quite subdued with most places shut by midnight. This is not a party resort! The room itself was nice and comfy with a good bed and the staff were nice and helpful. The swimming pool was out of the back of the hotel and across the alley but was clean warm and enjoyable.

Chiang Mai was on my list of places to visit but it is very subdued. I would recommend renting a scooter if you can so that you can travel about and see the temples and amazing views that are available to you in that region.

The highlight of my six day day was going on an ethical elephant jungle sanctuary trip which required an early morning start in a mini bus for a couple of hours trip into the scenic jungles of the area, where I spent an unforgettable day in the company of a herd of elephants and their offspring. Quite a serene and blissful experience in the company of these beautiful, giant, gentle and breathtaking creatures. Highly recommended!

Overall, if I was ever to stay in Chiang Mai again, I would be happy to rebook and stay at the Raming Lodge Hotel and Spa.

Excellent Location - close to restaurants, bars, massage... Our room type is Deluxe Double Room - room is spacious, bathroom is spacious. A free shuttle service takes you to the airport at certain hours. A good variety of breakfast but too bad that the food is not hot enough. Pool is very different from what was shown on the website. Do not expect you can check-in early or late check-out even if you are willing to pay. I don't know it's because they are full or it's their general practice. Soundproofing is not good if you are a light sleeper.

Back here again because of great past stays & location, staff are real great all round, friendly, helpful, pleasant.
Room was little dated but clean, bed was a little hard for my like.
swimming pool excellent.
Area is spot on for everything you could wish for.
My problem with this trip was that i couldn't book a deluxe room without having the breakfast included?
As a solo traveller think it was £23 a night for a breakfast & free mini bar? that is a lot as they is so many bars & restaurants near that food is so cheap for a good meal.
Stayed 7 night this trip.
So i booked a twin room that did the job but really i wanted a least double bed.
If this option continues to be available for a deluxe or grand then i may not be back in future which would be shame as a stayed here many times..

The only thing really to improve upon is the Air Conditioner is a bit weak and takes a very long time to cool off the room (From Alaska so Air Con very important to us)

Very clean if a little dated style, swimmig pool brand new (dec21) great location, bed was very hard, ( dont remember them like this is past?) I always ask for a quieter room at the back, LKR can be noisy usually but tbis stay (dec21) things just opening up was little quite still so didnt really.matter which room you have.

The property is centrally located along a road with bars and restaurants. You might want to request a higher room or a room at the back as some of the noise in the morning from the outdoor restaurant might cause some noise issues. Overall this is a good hotel that is reasonably priced and in a good location.

The property was dirty ! The staff did not care about cleaning even with a virus outbreak . A dog wonder into a eating area and I had to ask three different people to clean up after it . When asked to speak with the manager , the manager never got back to me . The room I booked was not the room I payed for and end up pay two time the amount . The pool is in the ally and was dirty with bugs and dirt in the bottom of the pool . The area around the hotel is not family friendly. Lots of bars with ladyboys and massage parlour ! Not a good stay !

The first night we found a large roach in the room and it was hard to get to sleep because of noise from the street. Laundry charges by the piece which is a rip off. A few doors down they did ours for 40Baht per kilo. Wouldn’t stay here again, but probably fine for a younger demographic.

PROS:
Great location, above average breakfast buffet for an Asian hotel, and the room was at a great rate.
CONS:
The building (or at least my room) needs to be renovated. The ceiling in my bathroom had a hole in it larger than a foot wide. Also, the water temperature was lukewarm at best, almost too cold to actually take a shower.
OVERALL:
I'd give this place a 6.5 out of 10, will probably stay somewhere else next time I visit Chiang Mai.

Very nice hotel even if a little dated /old . The staff was all amazing friendly people. The room itself was just right for a solo trip very clean tidy. Room was spacious. You get free breakfast here & it was great if you up early enough to take advantage off it, I only made this 2 times in my 5 night trip, but highly recommend you try. They cook omelette In front fresh whatever you want. Also other things acable hot & cold buffet style.

I like this hotel, it is clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast is ok too. It isn't up there with the classy hotels but it is certainly way above average for a budget establishment. It was much better than I thought it would be, given its location on LOI Kroh Road, which is the main bar/massage parlour street in Chiang Mai.

If you need constant and stable internet service this is not where you want to be. You will need a new user name and pass code every few hours.

AC is weak and you can realy lower temperature if you like it cool.

Shower- water pressure goes in pulses up and down- never seen before.

Breakfast - very poor selection.

Ramming Hotel isn't bad. A tad dated but the room I got was really spacious. An anwar for my closet. A TV cabinet that was aesthetically the same as the anwar. Yeah it was a nice room. The bathroom was huge and the hot water never once gave out. Perfect location. Decent breakfast. I imagine it would be booked out during high season.

This property was wedged into a small area on the very edge of Old Town. It was a sort of sketchy neighborhood although within walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. The pool was removed from the general hotel area so we ended up not even using it. The breakfast was quite good and the restaurant area is quite nice. It seemed like an area for \"ladies of the night\". That being said we felt perfectly safe here.

I love everything about the hotel, location, staffs, pool and restaurant.
Luckily, the hotel just cleaned the pool. The water is fresh and clean so I spent most of my time there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chiangmai.

Old colonial looking hotel which we booked as it's close to thapae gate for the market .we booked it for two days on the strength it has a pool which after a day on tour would be nice , however they don't tell you the pool is dewarfed by a huge building site next to it and I mean ajoining it , no body went near the pool and this is going to last for months , dom if you want a pool I wouldn't book this place , rooms just ok location ok ,breakfast was abysmal and so was the service. If this had not been paid up front we would have left

This is a unique property, architecturally quite different from what you might expect in the second largest city in Thailand.

Situated approximately 100 meters east of the the Eastern gate of the old city, in Loi Kroh Road, it is in the heart of all the action.

Hotel is clean enough and staff are quite pleasant.

However,..................in the previous years, one of the major benefits was an internet speed of 120MBPS which for an Australian was like having a birthday cake and eating it too.

Someone in management has decided that this luxury is wasted on mere mortals, and dialed the speed back to 1.5 MBPS, IF YOU’RE LUCKY!!!!

So get an unlimited local sim for $20AUD and save yourself the frustration of attempting to access the WWW via Ramming Lodge WiFi.

BTW, the bacon at breakfast is splendid

Probably won’t return.
Actually, I might for the cheery staff.............and the bacon.

Well maintained older hotel in good area just outside the old city. Easy walk to night market and old city. Area felt very safe but on the edge of what passes for the city’s red light district. For the price this hotel works. It is an easy walk to the night market and the center of town. However, you should know it is located on a street with several massage parlors.... This was not a deterrent for anyone (there were families getting foot massages during the day) we always felt safe.

It’s a really nice hotel right in the middle of everything. All of the staff were lovely, the breakfast was really good and the shower was the best I’ve ever had in Thailand! I had to change rooms after the first night because I was right next to the lift and kept being woken up by inconsiderate guests coming back at all hours, though this isn’t the hotels fault and they found me a quieter room straight away. The pool is big enough to have a swim in and was virtually deserted for the four days I stayed. It is a bit overpriced though, the beds are rock hard and there are no English channels on the TV so I doubt I would stay there again unless there was some kind of deal on.

Great location, easy to walk to the old city or the main restaurant/bar area for tourists, or the river/night market. A better hotel generally than I expected it to be. Seems to be quite well run and maintained. Decent buffet breakfast. Comfortable room. Pretty good price given its location.

Many of the staff are great, although I had an irritating check-out when the receptionist checked with housekeeping and said \"a towel is missing\", which really irked me.....I just said it wasn't, walked away and passing through 15 minutes later she told me \"okay, they found it\". Bad training in terms of the way it was said?

Parking round the back of the hotel via a very narrow soi made almost impassable when I arrived due to inconsiderate drivers. But the parking guard was helpful.

Would I stay again? Not too sure really
