This is a budget hotel, and I get that. However, upon checking in there was about 1/2\" toilet paper on the roll and no additional rolls in the bathroom, and only three tissues in the tissue box. I did not have a privacy door hanger, which did not end up mattering as my room was not cleaned once in the the 4 days / 3 nights I stayed. The cable stopped working the second day. The property was worn but mostly clean. A room (thankfully) down the hall had some people who were yelling at each other every time I passed by, and the police arrived to help some other guests while I was checking in. You get what you pay for, but if you need to stay in the area and you can set your expectations, it's fine.

I don't know how this hotel has a decent rating. It's kind of a turd. I still question how clean our room was. The ice bucket was in the fridge still half full of ice from someone else. No tissues. A 1/8\" of toilet paper on the roll and no spare. Coffee and condiments scattered all over the table. On a plus side, the breakfast was good.
The hotel had a grudge to it that started at the front door. And I am not a super picky person.

We stayed for just one night at Best Western Owego Inn. The first room we were given had an issue with the air conditioning, but they changed us to another room without any problem.

The second room was very good — the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast buffet was great and had a good variety, including eggs, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereals, and more.

The staff was friendly, and the location is very convenient, close to fast food restaurants, a convenience store, and a gas station.

Overall, we were satisfied with the value for the price and the service.

The purpose for the stay was to work and I could not get logged into their internet while there. The staff on duty tried to help and referred me to an outside party that stated the problem was they had not paid their bill. The TV kept freezing up and resetting itself during my 2 hour stay and the manager that was call very rude in attempting to help me with my internet problem. I left the hotel and asked for a refund and at first they stated that I had to go through the 3rd party to get a refund and then was told that I would not be receiving a refund from them nor the 3rd party. They stated that the internet problem was on my end, but before I left I heard another guest complaining about not being able to get on the internet. I went to a hotel down the street and was able to get on the internet there. I would like to request a refund if at all possible. Thanks for your consideration!

The heater on the wall was not working and just kept running, so it needed to be manually shut off.. The staff was friendly enough but Best Western corporate needs to do more inspections to maintain quality. When we checked out I just handed the clerk a hand written list of problems but I'm sure it was filed into the circular file.. I will not stay at a Best Western again.

Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here! I’m a frugal traveler and not very picky but you’ll thank me later for telling you to skip this place! Room was dirtiest I’ve ever stayed in! Shower floor is brown, mold in the shower tracks, we had dirty towels, the room was covered in cobwebs and I think they used the same rag to clean every surface - you can see the attempted swipes. Hallways are filled with plug in scenty’s - so over perfumed it gives you a headache. Brutal stay. Desk staff was friendly but I also think a little high.

We had to rent two rooms and despite booking about 2 weeks in advance we couldn’t even be placed on the same floor. The beds were smaller than the standard double/queen that we were expecting. At 11pm my family in one room experienced a large amount of water from the bathroom ceiling, ruining hygiene products, toothbrushes, etc. and her phone didn’t work to call the main desk with sleeping kids in the room.

We enjoy having breakfast at hotels to save some money on meals out while traveling but this morning all the serving dishes for hot options were empty and we had to wait between 10-15 minutes for someone to come check and refill them.

The worst hotel experience I have had in my life. The bathroom mirror was COVERED in toothpaste splatter, the faucet as well, there was absolutely no hand soap in the bathroom, the sink in the kitchen area was beyond gross, the floors were so dirty that after taking a shower I had a brown footprints walking through the bathroom, the handles of all doors were riddled with handprints, I could go on forever. After going down and talking to the front desk, he tried to move us to THREE different rooms, all of which had the exact same cleanliness concerns. We were told that we had to clean our own room because there was no cleaning staff on. We were literally given cleaning supplies and rags and had to go back to our hotel room after working all day and literally clean our own room. Management offered no resolution other than to take $50 off of our stay and offered to give me points that I could use toward another visit. The points were never deposited into my account, and when calling to follow up three days later the manager accused us of stealing a pillow and said that she refused to deposit points due to this. I ended up having to call corporate to file an official complaint because I am absolutely disgusted at this entire experience and the lack of concern from management regarding the cleanliness of their hotel. Not to mention we were advertised a breakfast buffet and ended up getting nothing but a continental breakfast that you would find at any other hotel. DO NOT BOOK!!!!!

Almost a great place to stay, we reserved a big room with a couch. Room was very big, but you could not see the tv from couch! They were on same wall, so we turned the very heavy sofa bed to see the tv, but the carpet was very dirty under the sofa! As big as the room was, the bathroom was small with a small sink counter that you could hardly put a travel kit on! Sometimes I wonder who designs rooms like this! Apparently they don’t stay in them. All that said we will book again, the breakfast and coffee were great!

We used Expedia to reserve a room to stay in Binghamton university area. The first trip went well because the hotel was not greedy and agreed to terminate the second day reservation without any penalty. We expected the same from the Best Western Hotel that we reserved recently. We were surprised to find out that the Best Western is greedy and refused to refund for canceling the reservation for the second day. We did notify the front office staff who checked in. So, we gave the hotel 24 hours of advance notice. However, Barbara, the Assistant General Manager, refused to refund the full rent for the second day. She did agree to refund a partial amount deducting a fine for canceling the second day after the intervention of the Expedia staff. The Expedia failed to notify us of this second day termination policy. It is also unavailable at the time of reservation. When we reported the problem to Expedia, the first representative did negotiate a partial refund, but the second representative simply said that there was nothing that she could do as the hotel decided everything!

The bottom line is that the Expedia gets commission for directing customers to a hotel but failed its obligation to provide customers with necessary information about policies of a hotel.
