The elevators are always packed, the elevator bank lobby on the ground floor is congested during peak hours, especially breakfast where the entrance is in the same area as the elevators. The hot tub was BROKEN! The carpet on the floor I stayed on was never once vacuumed in 5 days. Resort fees should be waived

Property looks good. My room however was not cleaned well, bathroom amd the side table in the room were always dirty, no change of sheets- they would just lay it again but no change of sheets. Place where to pick breakfast is way too small as so many people would come at once- seating area was big though. Also breakfast time should be extended say like from 6.30- 10.30am since some of us when on vacation would prefer a late breakfast jist to sleep in and rest..hope this is considered. Loved the pool and the area, always clean.

The entry door handle/lock needs to be fixed or replaced. The card worked fine but the lever did not engage the door to be released.
The breakfast did not even come close to meeting the Holiday Inn standards. The offerings were paired down and very limited. One of the biggest reasons we chose to stay with you was the expected breakfast. Cinnamon rolls were absent again (happened the last time we stayed). I asked the staff and was told “I’m sorry, we don’t have them today.” Totally disappointed.
The previous stay had us take the elevator to the floor above the room, then walk down the stairs to the floor below. The loud elevator kept us awake all night, not to mention the loud doors slamming, and other guests talking both through the walls and outside their doors. Horrible room location.
My suggestions would be to avoid sliding doors for the bathroom (privacy in a small room - you can do better), never put a glass door to a bathroom (lights totally flooded the dark room at night), keep pedestrians from cutting through the lobby (I’m sure it was documented of the cussing out of a security person, along with the terrible language, that occurred in the lobby while we checked in, and correct the actions of the breakfast management.

The rooms were very tiny, not much space to even move around. The water in the shower ran mostly cold, not much hot water. The breakfast was insanely crowded, free for all type of buffet. Most the food was cold or at best room temp. There is not enough parking for the amount of guests that stay, so it’s a Russian roulette of who gets the spots first, at $50 a night! After that they tell you to just go park on the street but nothing is close or ever available. Someone threw up near the 3rd floor elevator in the parking lot and it sat there for the whole week we stayed. The concierge DANIEL, scammed us on a luau. We paid $800 for a luau, that was supposed to be on the beach and family friendly. It was neither of those things, could not even see the beach or the sunset, it was on the third floor of the Marriott, which had scaffolding covering any sort of view. The show was slow, and boring but great performances. The beds in the hotel were soft, only up side to this stay. Spend the extra money, stay somewhere else. This was not our ideal vacation or stay, Waikiki has really changed.

They gave us a room that four people cannot even move around in we’ve barely enough room between beds and walls. We had to upgrade a room costing a step much more money which we shouldn’t have had to do the room, they moved us to was bigger and more comfortable that way, but the beds were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept on in my life and the pillows were terrible. It was a rotten stay the staff was OK, but the accommodations were for the pits.

Parking $50/night with in and out priviledges. Over all, very statisfied. I will book again and recommend to family and friends when looking for budget friendly accomodations.

Breakfast buffet was good with a mix of standard Holiday Inn Express items (turkey sausage and \"scramble\" patties) and local items (sweet buns, Portuguese sausage). Level 5 deck amenities were nice on days that you just want to relax for a bit. The location of the property is genius, its a few crosswalks away from Waikiki beach and at the head of Kuhio and Kalakaua Avenues which feature a lot of great food and shopping. It's also got bus stops right outside which provide great service to just about anywhere on the island. So TL;DR: Hotel itself was an average IHG experience, location is amazing.

I did not recieve enough breakfast vouchers for my entire stay, so I had asked very nicely for more since I was in fact a registered hotel guest. She legit screamed at me, talking down to me and was completely out of hand! I have never in my entire life been spoken to in that manner. Worst customer experience I have ever had. I have never wrote a bad review until now. She should not be working in customer service.

The wonderful service that Sawn provided us. He was super professional, friendly and helpful. His great service stood out for us. I would go back to this hotel because of his service. The rooms were clean and cozy. We just needed a place to sleep. There was daily housekeeping. Great amenities with a pool, jacuzzi, gym and games area. Breakfast was included, but needed a little bit more variety. In all, it was a wonderful stay and right in Waikiki downtown area. You have access to lots of shops and restaurants. Also the beach is close by. I will come back again to Holiday Inn Express Waikiki if I come back!

The hotel doors are not on springs, so all you hear in your room are all these doors closing on one's floor. It's awful. The few elevators are not sufficient to service the guests in the large hotel. Breakfast felt like one was lining up for a meal at a school cafeteria or institution. Not many healthy things to eat. Way too crowded. On the positive side, the king size bed was comfortable.

Room was clean. We had 2 queen beds with partial ocean view and it was the smallest room I have ever been in at a hotel. No storage for clothing and very small area to hang clothes. Bathroom was also very tiny no room for makeup and doing your hair. The hotel staff were amazing from housekeeping to front lobby staff to breakfast Buffett staff. It was a great hotel beside the size and condition of the room.

I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express Waikiki. The location is perfect—close to Waikiki Beach, shopping, and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, the free breakfast was a great bonus, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great value and made my Honolulu trip even better.
