Good location near chain restaurants and highway 401. Easy to get to, parking, and quick access to a variety of food options.
Hotel itself is what you would expect for Holiday Inn Express: pretty clean, reasonably good breakfast and coffee, friendly staff.
The pool situation, however, is atrocious. Absolutely tiny, even for little kids. Despite not being mentioned on Expedia listing or the hotel website, kids have to be 48\" tall to ride the waterslide. No mention of this until you get into the pool area! When the waterslide is on, basically the entire pool gets dedicated to that, rendering the remainder effectively useless. If pool is an important factor in your decision making of where to stay, pick a different hotel!

Overall we had an excellent stay. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Very friendly front desk staff and breakfast staff. Our only complaint was the lifeguard at the pool was very rude and grumpy with all the children. Looked like he didn't want to be at his job.

The property is good, the staff is exceptional and the breakfast is solid. But, the EV chargers don’t work and that was part of the reason why I booked this property. You need to scan a QR code to start them, and rhe QR codes are all bleached out by the sun.

Power went out in the middle of the night. Had to listen to the smoke alarm \"chirping\" all night. By 8am power was still out. Elevator wasn't working so we had to use the stairs. No problem using the stairs. The problem was, the security lights weren't working in the stairwell so we were walking down stairs in the dark. It was only one flight of stairs that was dark but thats all it takes for someone to get hurt.

The room was clean a little outdated but had a coffee station which is always nice . I loved that there was dove hand soap, shampoo & conditioners and body wash in the bathroom. Also the blow dryer is good. The curtains were good except the little gap when closed but was good. I have been here many times this room was different from one I had before with the little living room but was just as comfortable. Loved the breakfast in the main area of the hotel. It was a hot breakfast and good and the staff were very nice. I should mention the rooms had ample plugs for both laptops and phone chargers and CPAPS if you carry one like myself.

What is disappointing with this newly renovated hotel is how thin the walls are or not soundproofed. You can hear neighbouring rooms’ doors closing, full on conversation, and worse is the kids’ screaming, thumping/banging that causes vibration too and gives you headache/interrupted sleep beyond 12midnight and also wakes up your 13yo worried with all the noise.

They have a printout in their 1 out of 2 functioning elevator for quiet hours from 10pm-7am in their general common area. Which I think should be more stressed (similar to Great Wolf Lodge) considering their lack of soundproofing. But regardless, you’d be so unfortunate if you’re neighbouring indecent people as no hotel can’t really control what goes on inside the rooms of course. And if you’re the parent of kids who are demolishing beyond midnight, know that you are in a hotel and not in a farm in the middle of nowhere - train or get a hold of your kids.

Ofherwise:Room is clean, good space and design function. Toiletries provided were Dove brand which our family, even my husband liked - we might start buying it instead.

Staff is ok. Allowed for late check out during in person check in. However our key card stopped working at 10:49am and we’re told cause it’s already check out time when its not even 11am yet.

Amenities: Family enjoyed the pool despite being small. Its across a plaza with Walmart, Canadian Tire, McD and other restaurant chains.

The breakfast area was cleaner than in any other Holiday Inn Express we've been to. Kudos to the staff!
However, in our room (516) the dead bolt would not latch, and then, coming back after breakfast, the door would not open until about the 10th try though we kept getting the green light and could hear the click of unlatching.
It would be nice if the front desk had a list of area restaurants. Other than that, everything was just fine.

We loved our stay and will definitely be back. Our young daughters loved the pool! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our only disappointment was that the water slide is open only on weekends and we couldn't ride it due to our mid-week stay. Bummer.
