This was a travel back in time experience. Only a few minutes from the mountain. The owner/operators were great! Super personable and really enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. Rooms were no frills but more than adequate. There was a great continental breakfast each morning. The common area had a great wood burning stove and several folks hung out in the lodge area each night. The hidden gem was the homemade authentic Indian food offerings. Must try for sure! Thanks for a great lodging experience!

Rooms were extremely outdated, stained carpets, and beds were old and extremely hard. Breakfast was straight sugar, donuts and hunny buns. No cell service or WiFi.

It is what it is, great for a weekend ski trip. Please note, if you don't want to be woken up early by skiers gunning for the first runs, these dated walls/ceilings will seem thin. That said, it is a classic small ski lodge, with clean rooms and a community area w/ wifi, dining with microwave, and pool. Although we did not use the pool or sauna, it is great option for the price and location. The owners are amazing and I can't wait to come back and enjoy the Indian Buffet.

Very comfortable room with plenty of heat when you want it. Great selection of breakfasts and juices. Teas all day and a big living room with fireplace. Tons of board games, including Othello, and an old piano that makes sonatas sound super spooky! On friday and Saturday you can order from a menu of homemade Indian food and on Sunday there's a buffet! The winter special was our favorite. And there's spicey sauce on the side if you ask. Oh, yes.

Overpriced and outdated with musty smelling rooms. Old noisy beds / Mattresses sunken in the middle - super uncomfortable to sleep and gives you backaches in the morning. Only stayed there because of last minute reservation and nothing else was available. Would not recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at Austrian Haus. It was centrally located to Mt. Snow, and the owners were so lovely and accommodating. Shital's Indian food was delicious - it was great to have a dining option on site.
The lodge had a nice cozy main room with fireplace and board games and a nice pool room and sauna as well. The rooms are basic - if you're looking for a 5 star experience you'll need to look elsewhere and pay a lot more, but it was clean and we liked that continental breakfast was included. We would definitely return

Disappointed that this vintage lodge has not been maintained very well. Bathroom shower panels barely hanging on. Trim and caulking bad. Walls are paper thin. A little TLC could make this place nice. Tube TV didn’t work.

2/10 would not recommend
The staff/owners are very nice and accommodating. However, our first room we were given was not clean ( rug was stained and dirty, bedding had stains, mirror had finger prints and counter space was dirty). We asked for another room on the second floor( I would recommend if you do stay here to ask for a room on the second floor due to how loud this place is) and this room was slightly updated and we could visibly see the difference in cleanliness from the first room. However, I personally would not stay here again or recommend my friends or family to stay here. My night sleep was awful due to you can hear your neighbors very clearly and everyone pulling into the parking lot. They did have some board games in the lobby which was nice for guests to use. We paid way more than we should have for an outdated place like this.
