Disgusting moldy shower, no soap, no shampoo no hand soap in the bathroom. Lukewarm water at best. The place stinks. That was fairly comfortable though. Pillows were OK. For just a few bucks more. You can get a much nicer hotel.

FILTHY AND UNSANITARY! DO NOT STAY!

This hotel was filthy and unsafe. The room had bugs on the bed, blood stained mattresses, the phone didn’t work, the shower didn’t turn on, dirty carpet, and dust and bugs everywhere. I had to leave at midnight and book another hotel because it was impossible to stay. Save yourself the stress and avoid this place, it’s nothing like the photos online.

I was here for an event at WEC and because I was only staying two nights, lodging was limited. I knew this was a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for, so here is the info for others considering.

The location was very easy. I appreciated being able to walk over to Bob Evans in the morning and the ample parking space. It's not far from WEC and close to restaurants and places you may want to go.

Door must be pulled shut VERY hard to lock when you leave. If you don't double check, you may leave your room and possessions unsecured. You can turn a latch once inside, but there is no secondary lock or chain. Anyone with a key card to your room could fully open your door at night. Someone did knock on my door the second night at about 2am. It wasn't aggressive, and they likely had the wrong room, but it made me very uneasy given the way the door is set up to open directly to the parking lot.

Shower pressure is completely non-existent. It was a trickle and there would be no way to shampoo my hair in it. I got by because it was only two nights and I was only spectating at my event, but if I needed to wash my hair I'd have had to go do it at WEC. Conversely, the bathroom sink was like a fire hydrant.

Air conditioner blows straight up into the curtains, so tuck the curtains into the window ledge if you want the room to actually cool.

Cleaning staff seemed to try really hard. Sheets seemed clean but the duvet/comforter was super old and had cigarette burns.

Bath tub didnt drain. Gross old carpet, crusty bed spread. Bug in the ice in the ice machine. Someone opened our door at 9am with the do not disturb sign on the door. No knocking or announcing room service. Supposedly it was room service but still scared me. There's no chain or safety bar to keep people out. I ended up wedging a chair under the door after that. Definitely don't recommend. Only good thing is a large parking lot good for big trucks.

I booked this a month in advance. Was booked as 1 king, non smoking.
When we arrived, there was another guest complaining about the filthy room, cigarette burns in the comforter, and stained pillows. He offered her another room.
After I checked in, we went to our room and it was not what i booked. It was a 2 queen, non smoking. Which both bed comforters also had cigarette burns, floor had not been swept in forever, and yes the pillows were disgusting. I asked to be moved to another room and was told they didnt have another room.
Since we were kinds stuck, we went to the store and bought clorox wipes, cheep pillows and cases, and our own towels. I will never stay here again, and i highly reccomend avoiding this place at all costs.

One pillowcase was stained, the tub faucet stuck once it was turned on so I couldn't adjust the temperature or turn it off, and the lights did not illuminate the room. In addition, there was no iron. Aside from the pleasant staff, the entire stay did not put me at ease.

The price for the room was very good, and the staff was friendly and helpful BUT....
the drain in the bathtub was not draining. I borrowed a plunger from the office, hoping to dislodge the clog, but with no results....so we couldn't take a shower unless we stood in the shower water.The room was clean, but everything was very old. The bed covers had cigarette holes. The main room light switch didn't work....each light had to be turned on and off separately.
But the air conditioner worked and didn't have any odor, and it was a quick walk to two restaurants, so that was handy. We've stayed in worse places, and we would probably stay there again, but it could sure use some upgrades.

This is a great basic property. My room was clean and spacious, with parking right in front of my door. Refrigerator included a small freezer compartment, which was very helpful. Restaurant and pizzeria were a tiny walk away.

If you’re on a budget or trying to keep costs down, it’s a good place to stay. Well lit parking lot and several restaurants within walking distance. I would stay there again

We gave the Wilmington Inn a 5 star rating due to the room being clean and comfortable. Upon arrival the receptionist was friendly and easy to deal with. The hotel is walking distance to nice restaurants. We felt safe at the location. That has not always been the case in some hotels we have stayed.

The hotel works great for our purposes. I do wish that the room would be aired out before arrival since it is a bit off-putting when you walk into a musty smelling room. This was cleared up by running the air conditioner but it would be much more pleasant to arrive to a clean smelling room. That is my only true complaint about this hotel.

The motel was the closest, most affordable option to the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington.
When I turned the wall AC on, the smell was horrible. It took about an hour before the smell of musty dish rags dissipated. The carpet was literally so sticky that my tennis shoes made noise with every step.

Room was OK, likely more recently painted. Carpet was newer also but sticky with bare feet so needed shampooing. Furniture was older.
What they called "deluxe breakfast" was horrible. Two hard very stale donuts and a couple tiny stale muffins. Cream cheese in frig but nothing to put it in. Orange juice from machine was brown so we were afraid to drink it. Ignore the so called breakfast and plan on needing to eat elsewhere.

No bathroom amenities other than hand soap.

Few plugs for charging gear and one had to crawl on hands and knees to get to them. On the positive side, room was good sized and hot water quickly hot, though the water saver shower head was so constricted it took time to rinse soap off.

AC unit worked OK though the thermostat control was finicky.

The room rate was less than others in the area. The amenities, or lack thereof, was a result. So as long as you understand you get what you pay for and that their breakfast is useless and choose to be satisfied because of the lower price, you will be OK.

Only thing I noticed was in my particular room the ceiling needed paint and a USB outlet or two installed. Other than that it was a good stay and I’ll stay again.

Basic motel, super staff!

No frills hotel. Fairly comfy bed, nice bathroom. Carpet seemed damp, but we were also there during a week of high temps and EXTREMELY humid conditions - not sure if that had something to do with it or not? Staff was very nice, super helpful, and very accommodating. Restaurants within walking distance. Starbucks, McDonald’s, Kroger, etc… just down the street. About 10-12 mins to WEC.

Good value for price. Not the Ritz, but clean, plus bed & sheets were cozy. Two sinks plus fridge & microwave were handy. Great location, especially if travelling with kids. Superb playground & splashpad seconds away, nearby shopping options (5 or so mins away). Close to public library. Quiet and no sleazy people loitering. Staff were friendly & helpful.

But then watch/followed me around while walking my dog and the “manager” lived next door kept banging on the walls then complaining my dog was barking

On the lower side of "hotels"... the entry door had to be slammed with full force in order to close and lock, which I'm sure the other guest didn't like. Carpet was in dire need of replacement. Saturday night was a party in the parking lot. I'd pay the extra and get a better room next time.

Everything was good, considering the price. The bed was comfortable and seemed new. The room was adequate, with a refrigerator and microwave. Bathroom had a tub/shower, toilet, sink and the main room had a sink, counter and mirror. The room smelled like cleaning products when we first went in, but it wasn't overpowering. We were on the side closest to the road and traffic noise was not bad. No breakfast but you can walk across the parking lot to Bob Evans, or later in the day to Roosters for some wings or a sandwich. There was plenty of parking and within a mile there are lots of fast food places and a Kroger. It is a short drive to the World Equestrian Center and a cost effective option to paying $250 a night or more for a WEC cabin that has more beds but only one bathroom.

It looked very out dated. The bed was uncomfortable and not enough outlets to plug in my cpap machine i need medically . I only could sleep on that side of the bed. Where i could of had a better sleep on the otherside of the bed. But the staff was great let me check in early and worked to get the room clean because i needed a down stairs room because i am handicap to use the stairs. No elevator. The building itself looks runned down . To me its a 39.00 a night motel. Or by the hr. Very sad.

I stayed at this hotel January 2023. They're STILL using Covid-19 policies....IN 2023!!!
What this meant was the front lobby area was closed, so NO complimentary breakfast, coffee, or other perks associated with open lobbies.
I had reserved a room with a single bed a week in advance. They gave me a room with two beds and shrugged their shoulders when I brought it up.
There was no complimentary shampoo or conditioner, and I was covered in spider bites by the time I checked out.

Checked in at 5:30PM, had to wait while the clerk went to determine if our room had been cleaned or not. Length of time spent checking in was unreasonable. TV cable box had to be unplugged and reprogram itself each time the TV was turned on, very inconvenient and time consuming. No lines at all in the parking lot, making for difficult parking.
