This Inn was beyond our expectation. We went for a 1 night stay to go Ski to Mount Snow and this Inn was just 5 min ride to the mountain. The service was completely personalized and very attentive. Common areas and room very cozy, warm, clean and you felt like you are in a movie. Great scenic views and amazing breakfast.

The Innkeeper was so rude & disrespectful that my wife and I did not stay. We left minutes after going to our room which was up 3 flights of narrow steps.
The small room had no TV and no room phone to be able to contact the desk. The bathroom was so old and ridiculously small. Certainly not what you would expect for a $200/night inn.
We had our service dog with us and the InnKeeper continuously \"harassed\" us for a Doctors Note & Service Dog Certification, which is NOT legal to ask.
She challenged whether our dog was fit to be a service dog and asked multiple times what my wife's disability was, which is also illegal. We felt \"discriminated\" against and were embarrassed in the company of another couple that was in line behind us at check-in.
The Innkeeper was so insensitive and discourteous that she made us feel very uncomfortable just being there. She upset both me and my wife.
It is for all these reasons, that I could never recommend staying at the Deer Hill Inn.
And hence, I will be filing for a full refund.

The inn is easy to locate, just of VT 100. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We arrived about an hour before check-in time, but they accommodated us without any problem. The inn is sprawling, with several lovely sitting areas (with fireplaces). Our room, Orchid, was spacious, well-furnished, and immaculately clean. And very quiet. Breakfast was exceptional, with several choices and freshly prepared. We would definitely return.

I just recently stayed for two nights for a quick ski trip to Mount Snow. I very much enjoyed my stay, the Inn is very comfortable and is exactly what I imagined a VT bed and breakfast style inn to be.
Check-in was easy, I arrived late in the evening and was greeted by Kevin (co-owner) and showed immediately to my room (he also showed me the assorted common areas along the way). I stayed in the Azalea room, perfect for a solo or couple stay. Breakfast was served each morning in the dining room and was great, especially the homemade scones. There is a nice view of the Haystack summit from the dining area/front of inn. The inn was quiet for my stay, being a non-weekend stay I believe I may have been one of only three guests.
West Dover is a charming little town, I only tried one restaurant (the brewery, Snow Republic) and spent most of my time at Mount Snow. I hope to get back soon and try more of the local dining and shops.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to return soon.

Perfection. Spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable from the bed, linens, towels, down filled chairs, bath condiments, etc. If you want a TV, you will not find one in any room, no mini-fridge or microwave either but you will have a Keurig with several coffee and tea options. There is a \"guest\" fridge available to all.
The owners are fantastic (friendly, kind, and discreet).

Our stay at this charming, comfortable inn could not have been more perfect! The room was beautiful and so comfortable and well equipped. The back porch with garden view was a great place to unwind and hold planning meetings. The innkeeper, Scott was very attentive and accommodating to our early morning schedule. A hot to order breakfast starting with fresh baked scones in the lovely dining room with a mountain view and plenty of songbirds was an enjoyable way to start our day. I cannot wait to visit again for pleasure so we can fully enjoy the area.

Ariane and Scott were both so friendly that we felt like we knew them both for years. We really enjoyed our stay. The inn was so well decorated and was really inviting. We felt right at home. In fact we felt so comfortable we sat by the fireplace Friday night in our comfortable sweat pants and sweat shirts for a while. We also really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. The scones on Sunday were so delicious along with our pancakes. Ariane and Scott have earned our continued business.

We stayed during COVID so the Inn was only 50% booked so was extra quiet and relaxed. Even nicer than the photos suggest with a lovely small pool surrounded by old stone walls. Long lovely views towards Mt Snow in the distance. Scrumptious breakfasts begin with warm scones. Great area for hiking in the summer and fall, skiing in the winter. Would recommend.

We were warmly welcomed at our arrival, our room was fully equipped with extra touches like homemade cookies, plush and plentiful towels, nice bed linens, etc. Room was very clean and loved our little sitting area on the porch. I especially loved the extra storage cabinet in the bathroom for storage of toiletries. The breakfast was outstanding, plentiful and delicious! They happily accommodated my gluten allergy each day and our anniversary dinner was delicious! Service is fabulous, pool was refreshing and gardens were sweet, not to mention views of mountains. We cannot wait to return!

We visited in August. The service was wonderful, the gardens are extremely well-kept, and in general, everything about the place just makes you feel at home. The breakfast is amazing - fresh, hot scones to start, with perfectly cooked eggs or pancakes afterwards. And we ate dinner once in the restaurant, which was fantastic. I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

Greatest quiet escape
Everything about our stay was amazing. The rooms were spotless, the towels were soft and plush, and the room had every amenity you could ever need. We opted for breakfast in bed and it was delivered right on time. We ended up wanting to eat on our porch because it was a beautiful morning and Scott brought our food right outside for us and came to check on us a short while later. The pictures don't do this place justice--it really is a sweet and welcoming place.

Relaxing and very comfortable stay
My husband and I stayed for a weekend in August and had a wonderful time. Ariane is the perfect hostess: kind, friendly, and very welcoming. Check in was quick and easy. Our room (the Tamarack) was much nicer than the photos could convey. The bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of space, and we loved the windows overlooking the mountains. I can only imagine how cozy this room would be in the winter with the fireplace going. The giant jetted tub in the bathroom was such a treat. Breakfast was delicious and the service was so friendly. We would love to return for another visit and can't recommend this place enough.

We went to Southern Vermont to finish up our tour of all 251 towns and cities in the state of Vermont. The Garden Suite was cozy and comfortable with a plethora of pillows. The bathroom was on several levels which made it awkward. We generally select our Inns or hotels based on an on-site restaurant. We like the convenience of being able to opt out of traveling for food if we choose not to go out so we were disappointed to find the restaurant closed for the duration of our stay even though the possibility of it being opened was discussed. The included breakfast was not served until 8:30 but was well worth the wait.....super yummy.....over all the location, comfort and service made it a good choice....maybe a little pricey.

A Charming Oasis
The Deerhill Inn is a quaint spot, just up the hill from the main road. Ariane and Scott are wonderful hosts, know so much about the area and are most accommodating. A wonderful place to come back to at the end of a day of hiking through the gorgeous Green Mountains. Love it.

A Gem of a B&B in Vermont
Walking into Deerhill Inn feels like a warm, welcoming hug. They really treat you special here. We enjoyed our stay so much last year, we booked again this year and brought our older son with us (got him his own room). He loved it. We loved it. Fantastic views and setting. Great food. Fabulous hospitality. Had a blast in the evening playing board games in the relaxation room. We'll be back!

I had an amazing stay! The property is beautiful and the rooms are fantastic. My room had a patio and I ended working on my laptop (great wifi!) there and next to the pool which was clean and inviting. The owners are the bechmark for hospitality and really lovely people to get to know. After a delicious breakfast with a view of highly trafficked bird feeders I absolutely hated to leave. I really can't wait to come back and this is the only place I will stay in this area going forward!
