Staff were helpful and friendly, hotel and rooms were nice. I had an issue with my credit card and the staff helped me work through it and even let me stay my first night on faith that payment would work, instead of making a big deal about it.

I’m torn on leaving 4* and not 5*, as the stay was really good; really friendly and helpful staff, clean and pretty hotel with a generous breakfast and helpful parking.

The only issue is the hotel’s sound proofing and being located on the same street as a bus station. It means that without fail you will wake up when the first buses of the day travel down the street, which was usually 6am.

Perhaps this is avoiding if you’re not facing the road, but we were and so it was a shame to be woken up every morning.

Outside of that, everything was really good.

So … how can I say the rooms are small and the walls are paper thin you can hear the people next door. It was very noisy. We got the moans at 10 at 1:30 and at 6:30 the bed was banging against the wall, we did not appreciate …

We loved our stay at Hotel Maki. The fabric art decorating the hotel is very beautiful as is all the natural wood. We had a lovely balcony overlooking a gorgeous garden. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Daily breakfast was wonderful. Can’t say enough good things. We would return and stay there again!

Amazing hotel in Pucon, great breakfast, best scrambled eggs on our travels. Staff were so friendly and hotel was spotless. Really quirky with lots of lovely artworks in the hotel. They should get in touch with Laundrette and bus company across the road to arrange to cut the tree down to give you unspoilt views of the volcano. Would defo stay here again.

Maki is a lovely boutique hotel. Four of us stayed there and all have been raving about it ever since. The owners are kind and engaged and eager to please. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The location is safe and quiet. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The internet is solid. All of us will gladly return if and when our path leads back to Pucon.

My wife and I booked into Maki Hotel on short notice and were so happy with this choice. The staff were incredibly friendly, thoughtful and accommodating. We especially enjoyed the breakfast that Gonzalo and his team prepared each morning. The room was clean, comfortable and secure. We loved sitting on the balcony and observing the volcano in the distance.

A gem of a hotel easily accessible to the lake

Maki Hotel is a great place to stay. The owner and his family are intimately involved in its operation, and the care shows - from the personal attention you get at breakfast to the recommendations for local shopping and sightseeing, to just how \"homely\" everything feels.

We stayed there for 3 nights, and everything worked out great. Specifically:

1. The rooms, while on the smaller side, are tastefully appointed.
2. The airconditioning works great!
3. Breakfast is a lively affair with an extremely cheerful crew who spare no expense to ensure you are well-fed and happy.
4. The rooms and the hotel itself are extremely well-maintained, clean, and very sanitary.
5. Parking onsite is outside and although the neighborhood might feel a tad sketchy, it's really safe.
6. Very short walk to the main tourist strip (O'Higgins Avenue) and the lake.

Overall, we were very sad to leave Maki Hotel. We will definitely stay there again if our travels bring us back to Pucon.

The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful! The room was clean, good storage space, provided Netflix. The room was smallish but totally sufficient and had a balcony, and comfortable bathroom/shower space. Very easy to walk to the main area and many restaurants, shops, and excursion operators. I can’t say enough about how kind the staff were and how easy they made our stay in Pucon!

The hotel is a really nice piece of architecture. Why people were walking down the wood stairs at 5am, no idea, maybe to climb a volcano. My room didn't have any exterior windows, was slightly larger than the bed, but did have space in front of the closet and a good size bathroom. The tv is netflix only (their account). Breakfast was great, probably the best in the country that I have had. The bed was medium firm (and on wheels). Wifi worked. Great neighbor hood, close but not on busy street. Off street parking.

Had a great stay at Hotel Maki! Rented 2 rooms for 4 of us who were there to climb Villarica and spend a few days in Pucon, las termas, etc. Location was great. Staff were always attentive and the breakfast was a highlight. Great mix of food and made to order eggs, plus access to kitchen throughout the day. Nice outdoor courtyard as well - this place was great!

A small boutique hotel that seems to be newly constructed. The design and the furnishings are stunning. Lots of natural wood and fabrics. There are 14 rooms. The room was small.. just enough room for 2 twin beds pushed together, two small nightstands and a simple wooden chair. The bathroom is tight - you have to walk in, shut the door, then turn around and enter the shower from the side. The room next to me had a door that if we both left our rooms at the same time we would run into each other. I could hear my neighbor throw his shoes into the closet and he snored. :( It is located on a side street in a residential area with a laundromat across the street. I had an amazing view of the volcano and I could see the smoke rising out of the snow covered volcano from my room. At night there was lots of barking from the street dogs, typical for southern Chile. It seems the further south of Santiago you go the worse it gets. The woman who checked me in spoke english pretty well and gave me a great recommendation for an Italian restuarant within walking distance from the hotel. The breakfast was very nice - great selection of meats, fruits and they made eggs cooked to order. And the bread..Chile knows how to bake bread! Overall, I would say this is a nice place to stay for one person; I'm not sure about 2 people in one room. There is no place to work in the room such as a desk. I parked on the street and there is no fridge or coffee in room.

The hotel is beautiful, new, and exceptionally designed. The owners and the people who are at the front desk are extremely helpful and kind. The breakfasts are delicious and enormous. You can watch Netflix in many languages which was an awesome perk.
The area is a bit sketchy...but it is close to the main drag where restaurants and shops are plentiful.
The big negative is that rooms are EXTREMELY small...you feel like you're in a dorm room.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful little hotel with amazing breakfast and friendly staff. The breakfast crew would cook scrambled eggs fresh on demand and overall was the best breakfast we had in any hotel we had during our 3 week stay in chile. Room was clean, modern, didn't feel cramped and had a gorgeous view of the volcano. The room really felt like you could relax with a nice large deck via massive glass doors. The decor and feel of the hotel was beautiful and felt warm and welcoming, and didn't have any sign of \"staleness\" you sometimes find in hotels.

Also, cleaning staff went above and beyond. When the laundromat across the street was closed for most of our stay (not open past 6pm, closed one day of the week), we did laundry in the shower. Despite this hotel not providing any laundry services, cleaning staff saw our clothing hanging out to dry, dried it and folded it!

Little Gem!

Everything was fantastic, from the warm welcome to the amazing support planning all the tourist attractions on my last minute trip to Pucon. All the staff were lovely. Great breakfast and afternoon cake and hot drinks on hand in the communal dining area. 2 blocks from the main town centre shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay again on my next trip to Pucon.

We just loved our stay at Maki. Felt brand new. The hotel has been meticulously designed, with bright, airy rooms and common areas. Delicious fresh breakfast included. Board games and cards for the kids. Easy few minutes' walk to main restaurant street. Lovely owners and staff. Felt like home away from home. Excellent wifi. Beautiful, cozy and modern boutique hotel in the middle of Pucon city, walking distance from the hot spots (Fresia “restaurants street”, Playa Grande beach, OHiggins main avenue). Maki Hotel is fabulous! Our room looked up to the steaming active volcano! The hotel is in immaculate condition and the owners are wonderful. Just off of the main area of the town so everything was within easy walking distance. Great variety of restaurants. The breakfasts were outstanding! We also had a nice balcony that we could sit out on and play cards or just look at the beauty of the area.

This hotel is beyond amazing! We stayed here for a night, booked two rooms, and the moment we arrived in the hotel, we were toured inside the hotel, and were taken good care. This hotel is very clean! We met the owners and they were so nice! I've been traveling for two weeks and of all hotels, this hotel has the best breakfast! Oh, the great service, great food, and the best frambuesa juice I've ever had! The owners were there talking to us, serving us, and making sure all our needs were met. I was able to ask the meaning of the name of the hotel too.
Rooms had modern style look, we love it! If I visit Pucon again, I'd definitely stay here but longer! I hope that they continue to enjoy serving their customers as they really made us happy and comfortable with our stay and hopefully future customers will help maintain this hotel nice and clean.

Es una propiedad pequeña de una 12 aproximadamente, todo fue confortable, lo unico que no me gusto es que apesar de ser tan pocas habitaciones hay que pedir turno para desayunar y el desayuno es muy limitado, solo preparan huevos fritos (no omelettes, ni nada diferente) y lo que hay en la barra que es cafe, pan, cereal y fruta.

Excelente hotel, ubicado a dos cuadras de la calle principal, con buen acceso a restaurantes y compras.
El personal es muy amable y las instalaciones modernas.
A pesar de no tener ascensor, la escala de acceso a las habitaciones tiene un largo recorrido con poca pendiente que la hace muy amigable.
