We loved our stay at Hideaway villas. All the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We had a slight issue with the hot water but it was fixed immediately. We were also very happy with our meals from the on site restaurant. We can’t wait to return!

We had a terrible experience at this villa. we had booked a 3 night stay, and left in less than 12h of being there. it was heavy rain when we visited, and there were snails alllll over the villa. we booked a 2 bedroom villa. only the rooms are \"inside.\" the pool, living area, kitchen etc have an outside feel. there's no wall/door/divider that keeps outside insects/bugs etc from coming in your living area. we saw 15 snails around/in our villa, and a few in the bathroom--climbing inside the tub, in the toilet paper roll, on the side of the toilet. it was disgusting and we had to leave ASAP. these villas look nice and have potential. you might enjoy your stay there, but just be aware of what you'll be walking into. half of the villa is \"outside.\"

Nice having a private pool. However only the bedroom was air conditioned. Lounge area and dining area was out door and subject to bugs and heat. Can’t walk anywhere from this hotel. Need to get a car anywhere.

This Villa was outstanding. Absolutely loved our stay and the staff was so welcoming and helpful. We ate our meals at the Villa at our room, the staff came to set up then clean up after we were done. It’s quiet and a walk away from Diamond Beach which is what we wanted.

Dirty, run down villa. FALSE advertising from hotels.com as the hotel is in actual fact a 4 STAR hotel. The room looks NOTHING like advertised. The towels are filthy, the pool is disgusting and covered in algae, the bathroom has algae in the shower, no face towels were provided in the entire stay, no cutlery is provided in the kitchenette. Spend your money elsewhere, have requested a refund from hotels.com as our nye was ruined.

Thought the cleanliness and housekeeping can be improved. Duvet and bedsheets have stains on them. Only provided 1 toothbrush when it’s clearly room for 2. Room pool was breathtaking. However could work on its sound proofing in the suite. Can hear loud music blasting from the restaurant at L1 as the suite 2 storey above. Expected more from this as it was priced higher than the one bedroom villas after all.

The property is fairly isolated and unless you have a scooter can be quite expensive to go anywhere. If you’re just chilling out around your private villa it is ideal. The villas could have a few more basic items in the kitchen area, like tea towels, dish cloth and some crockery and cutlery.
There is no provision to play any music which would be great when sitting around the villa pool. The staff are first class, polite and very attentive. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The food could also be a bit better, but this maybe us slowly adjusting to their way of preparing it.

If you're looking for a secluded place and plan to stay in the villa mostly, I would recommend this place. It's very far in from the main road and the area is relatively quiet. Got the pool villa which was quite nice but small compared to other villas in Bali which we stayed in.

The food in the restaurant is quite good.
Highlight of my stay was the hot stones massage at the Bamboo spa. Eka is a wonderful therapist, ask for her.

We were not at all impressed by this villa. The entrance and lobby to the Villas were beautiful however when we arrived they were doing construction on the stairs leading to our villa which made it harder getting to our room. We had to wait for the construction workers to move all of their tools out of the way and watch out for getting cement on our shoes. It would have been nice if they had one side blocked off for guests to walk while the workers worked on the other. Our room in the villa looked clean but smelled of mildew. The living room did not have a door to close off outside so there was no way to stop bugs from coming in. They did however provide bug spray. Also, due to the fact that the living room and kitchen had an open concept, there was no A/C only a fan so sitting in the living room during the day was pretty uncomfortable due to the heat. During the night the light in the pool was not on so we had to call maintenance to turn it on and it started making loud noises once he turned the light on (I think the filter system may have been off as well because of the noise and that's why they may have turned everything off). There was also plants in-front of the pool and on the roof of the villa in front of ours that was dried out. The best part of our stay was the massages we got at the spa. Overall, I was not impressed with the service and upkeep of the place. We decided to only stay one night of the two nights we had booked due to the poor condition.

The pool and friendliness of the staff made our stay enjoyable. Definitely try the floating breakfast. Although the menu was limited for vegetarians, they very were accommodating. Thank you to Chris for checking us in. Thank you to the lovely staff during breakfast. This was our first time in Bali and this villa will be hard to beat on the rest of our trip around Bali. Just note that this villa is located inside a village type area and that you may see small harmless geckos, an ocassional dragonfly and mosquito (we had no issues with anything).

The entrance was quite impressive so we had high standards for the rooms tho when we arrived we were a bit surprised that the rooms were a bit dated with stains on sofa and some desk and the design was slightly weird specially in my room they had this counter with a sink by the door. The service was ok, breakfast staff was quite attentive and like the fact the breakfast is made to order.

Firstly, the facilities and cleanliness of the villa that we stayed are quite poorly maintained. Algae can be seen around the wall of the pool inside the villa. The pool filtering system was not working. We only used the pool for a while due to the poor condition. Towels provided have spots and stains on it. Slippers in the bathroom were covered with cigarette ashes. Shower gel contained in a tube was not new and only half filled. These show that the room wasn't clean properly before handing over to the next guest.

Secondly, house flies were flying around when we were having our breakfast at the restaurant which is really irritating and prompted us to quickly finish up our meal instead of enjoying it slowly.

Lastly, the location of the villa is quite bad as vehicle will need to go through dirt tracks to get into the villa from the main road. Guests will need to have transport arrangement in order to travel out as walking seems to be tedious and unsafe.

My husband and I stayed in the suite with infinity pool for 3 days of our honeymoon and the room was fantastic. The views were amazing, the pool was cool to have, and the villa was very private.As a treat for our honeymoon they had the bed decorated with rose petals, and filled our soaker tub for us upon arrival. The only downside about the room was there was no pool deck, so you couldn’t lounge or sit outside, but that didn’t bother us because we went to the beach everyday. If you prefer a pool and deck then I would book the villa with pool instead, but you’ll have to compensate for the views and infinity pool. Although the staff were extremely nice, there was some difficulty with communication at times. I would not recommend doing the romantic candlelight dinner because it was very unorganized and therefore didn’t feel romantic as expected. When they escorted us to our dinner, it wasn’t even fully set-up. During the first hour we had to sit in the villa for them to come and light the candles and bring us the wine and water included. The salad came before the candles and wine, and they missed the cook on the steak by a long shot so we had to send it back. The whole dinner was very slow moving and took over 3 hours. However, these issues may have been due to the overly booked private dinners that night. The food was good, but nothing special. Overall the hotel was very nice, and in a very secluted quiet area of Bali in uluwatu that is close to the nicest beaches in Bali.

Omg I feel like I’m going to cry as I write this review, now it means my trip is officially over lol! THS HOTEL/VILLA WAS AMAZING!!!!!! The staff was so friendly & kind & helped with EVERYTHING!!! Such privacy! Only downside is this place is far from everything BEWARE! Lol and a lot of taxi drivers will try to charge you more because it’s further, but it’s so worth it!!! I spent most of my time here at the villa then exploring bali lol

Amazing location and hotel. We stayed in the villa upstairs with a private pool and was very affordable for what we got. Very friendly staff and beautiful views of the sunset from the pool. Would love to stay here again. Only negative was it was very hard to find, our driver got lost as he was from Denpasar so didn’t know the area but the local drivers knew the place so make sure your driver knows where they are going even if they say they know.

There's really nothing much I can add to the information Hideaway Villas Bali provides on its website, it's all true. Loved the stay there, beautiful space, not too far off the beaten track, rented a scooter straight from the hotel to get around which was slightly above average prices outside but so much easier so a fair deal. Would definitely stay there again. Nice breakfast, very good meals, a bit on the pricey side but then the stay itself isn't and you can always eat out if you so please.

Guaranteed Privacy in Uluwatu

The resort certainly chose the right name \"hideaway\" as this property is quite a distance off the main road, ensuring privacy if that is what you're looking for. You will definitely need your own transport or a bike to travel in/out of the property. We chose the pool suite as it offered a view from the second storey; perhaps that is why it cost slightly more as well over a villa. Staff were friendly and polite throughout. Perhaps the only slight issue we experienced were the insects... it's no fault of the property; possibly the location (and weather?). Just have to ensure that the doors etc are not left open.

Had such a blast staying here. Was able to rent scooters from the hotel each day for a 24 hr period. Every we did was quick and easy to get to. Staff made our stay feel like home, room service was awesome, breakfast was amazing. Our room set up was amazing and would 100% stay here again.

This location isn't very good. It's very far from everything and they don't provide a courtesy shuttle. The rooms are beautiful but the outdoor living setup is hard to enjoy with the amount of mosquitos. Not sure what the hype about the breakfast was about. It was just ok. The bedroom wasn't cleaned enough for my taste. Under and behind the bed was filthy and so were the closets. For the price though it was beautiful considering they all have private pool villas.

Disappointing experience. Don't trust the pictures

First of all, it is not straightforward to find. Once you get there you go through parking and \"internal plumbling\" of the hotel is right there in your face. Reception is bizzarre. Located in the basement pretty much. Restaurant is right there too, parking (at times with trucks) on the one side and generators buzzing loudly on the other. Food is not good, way too greasy and far from tasty. Despite the price tags for the rooms expect processed juice (not fresh) and to pay up for \"extras\" like cappuccino. Staff friendly enough on appearance. However we did bike rental and they tried to rip us off (two staff quoting two different prices, gas tank was meant to be half full and it was empty). Room ticks the boxes, but furnishings are poor. Don't expect boutique hotel feel at all. Bathroom was a bit of a disaster. It smelled of mould upon arrival which we highlighted to staff. In the hindsight should have kept mouth shut, as for the remainder of our stay (3 nights) it reeked if dusinfectant/drain clean, and due to lack of ventilation that smell just did not go away, and in fact spilled over to the bedroom. Terrible. Two good things about the stay. Private swimming pool which was nice enough and decent view. Overall, bad experience. Don't trust the pictures at all, it's miles worse than that. Do not recommend this place.

Such an amazing experience at Hideaway. A little hidden away as the name suggests but it was perfect for what we wanted. A nice quiet and romantic start to our trip in Bali. Make sure you spend a little more and get a 1 bedroom villa. You won't regret it! We will try and come back on our way back through!

Don't stay here during rainy season!

Obviously this place is picture perfect, very modern and nice. However, the first night we stayed here, we woke up to our kitchen and bathroom covered in water from leaks coming from the walls (possibly because they weren't made properly?). We told staff and they fixed it with gap seal glue, which didn't get the chance to dry because of all the water. They came 3 times to \"fix\" the leaks after we continued to call up about it. Finally we were moved to a new room, which was sadly very damp because water had come in from under the bedroom/outside door (sliding door so wasn't sealed from water coming in from outside), drenching the curtains and leaving our room and bed feeling damp and smelling damp. We were told our second room was quite new, and it must have been, because there was no hot water, so we had to have cold showers. And it was so far away from the other hotels that we also didn't get wifi reception. Maybe when it's not raining so much, this would be a great hotel but definitely not during the rainy season

Perfect for families or honeymooners alike. Very quiet, luxurious hotel.

The service was palace-quality, all staff are top-notch, nice and attentive to guests. The villas are very pretty, well equipped. Nice swimming pool and excellent spa. Room service available and chauffeurs ready to take you to the city: nothing to complain about, everything was perfect!!

Our stay was fantastic except for a slight problem at the start. We thought we were booking a villa but instead got a hotel room. The pictures were quite misleading so be aware and double check what you are booking. We had to pay to upgrade to what we thought we were booking which was disappointing. However the rooms are very clean and comfortable and modern. Breakfast is typical Bali style. Be aware of the location before you book! We knew where it was and wanted to stay on that side of the island but if you don't know, this hotel is about 40-60 minutes away from the main part of Bali, there is not a lot around here, it's far to get to restaurants and not within walking distance to anything.

this villa is located in a secluded rural part in pecatu. with that in mind, set expectation that you will be surrounded with nature. i love the private pook with partially view of the ocean. overall you need to arrange for transportation in and out of villa if you want to go on a grocery run for food. we rented our own car that gives us ample option to relax in our villa or to explore the uluwatu area! the villa is not fully developed and there are works ongoing. we did experienced 2 power trips on our first day which were fixed within a few minutes. i was asleep and didnt even notice it until my husband informed me! the service was excellent and all smiles. we wish to return here again!

Wonderful Stay!

Stunning views and excellent staff. Stayed in the one bedroom suite with private pool. If you are a couple or looking for a romantic getaway I would recommend one of these suites. The hotel is hidden away from the hustle and bustle which is part of its charm. I recommend renting a motor bike as the hotel is central in Uluwatu and a short motor bike ride away to must see destinations like Dreamland Beach, Single Fin, Sunday's Beach Club and Green Bowl Beach.
The staff are all so friendly, from the security gaurds to the chef they go out of your way to make you feel welcome and fulfil your requests.
The only small downside, if any, is there are some works going on at the hotel so we had a few small issues with our room (light not working, leaking air con). However, the front desk staff were so fast with correcting both issues so it wasn't a problem. Hidden gem for the price - breakfast was very nice as well.

This hotel is really beautiful. The infinity pool with view is so amazing.
Order the beef burger - one of the best burgers I've ever had - also the chocolate fondante.
It was down a really dark road off the main road, but staff always offered drop off and pickup so it was fine.
I will definitely be coming back here

This is the BEST

Hideaway Villas was by far the best experience we had in Bali!! The staff was so kind and always eager to provide exceptional service! We have never dreamed of such an amazing view from our private pool. My husband even brushed his teeth with his legs hanging in the pool-- he loved the view that much! We also had amazing hot stone massages for a great price and the spa had a private shower to rinse off the oils before getting dressed again.

There is no question of whether or not to book here. Book it! And book as many nights as you can :)

Excellent hotel perfectly tucked away so that you feel you have your own bit of paradise but are still only 10-15 minutes ride away from the beautiful beaches of the south.

Staff were incredibly helpful throughout and even managed to retrieve my lost passport and wallet from a taxi! The food is excellent, and service was very fast. Massage in the spa was very enjoyable, sunset view from your private pool is simply a must do.

Fantastic hotel for a relaxing get away.

From the moment we stepped off the plane the service delivered by Hideaway Villas was fantastic. As arranged our driver was at the airport to collect us. Check in was a breeze and our room was beautiful and clean. The pool is amazing, and we spent more days in the hotel then out adventuring because the facilities were so great. We used the spa, the massages were fantastic, the restaurant, food was delicious, and we ordered a lot of room service, delivered with a smile every time, no matter what time of the day. When we did venture out the hotel arranged drivers for us, so we never had to worry about money, we just added it to the bill and paid for everything when we checked out. We can't recommend this hotel enough if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, clean place with your own private pool and fantastic service and friendly staff.

Good hotel, but terrible location.

Pros:
1. Clean room with private pool
2. Nice sunset view
3. Excellent service from staff - All the staff were friendly and helpful and went above and beyond.

Cons:
1. Really really terrible location - Hotel was secluded with a narrow UNLIT road (only one vehicle wide) leading to it. This means that every time we wanted to have our meals outside, we had to cab out and back in.
2. Limited food options - Only one restaurant with smallish menu, which meant needing to go out for meals (point 1).
3. Noisy - Roosters and dogs from the surrounding farm crowing and barking every SINGLE day as early as 540am and even with all the windows shut we would still be awakened.
4. Power outage - We had the misfortune of experiencing a power failure at around 5am in the morning on our 3rd day so all lights, the airconditioning and even the phone connection was cut off. Had to walk all the way to the lobby to request for help.
5. Smell - Smell of manure/fertiliser all around, so you get to soak in your private pool catching whiffs of cow poop.

All in all, and this is an honest personal opinion, only choose this hotel if you dont mind an expensive room to stay in all day. Otherwise, I will not recommend this hotel at all. There is nowhere to explore around the hotel so you will be cooped in. Not value for money either. I expected more from this hotel for the amount I paid but was sorely disappointed.

First experienced with this villa

Environment is quiet and nice but can easily hear the neighborhood noise clearly from the villa room. Would suggest some anti-noise wall or door.
Too isolated location that most taxi driver do not know the place well.
Surprised to know no provision of hair dryer for a Villa room! This is my first encounter after staying in many places of villa in Bali. Many flies and mosquitos and Ants in our villa room.

i was staying at the one bedroom villa. The staff there were all friendly and helpfull. whereas for the villa condition the room was so hot in the day and the aircon was not helping at all. The bathtub could not be filled up after hours of turning the tap, so we just leave the villa and drive to a nearby restaurant to escape from the heat,that is not part of the plan when we choose to stay at the hideaway villa.

Amazing view and hotel

Great location looking over uluwatu and seeing the sea. Great service and staff. Absolutely a must.

Nice hotel with some water views

Very comfortable king bed and friendly and helpful staff. Open kitchen lounge area with own infinity pool, however at night mosquitoes, frogs and a cat visit so I made sure the bedroom was always shut up with the air con on.

Overall was okay but would be great if the separate living room had air condition. It was too hot to relax during the afternoon.

Beautiful hotel with amazing service

The hotel was nice and quiet. The staff memeber are super kind and helpful. Food and Spa are also great and at a resonable price!
