My stay at My Dream Boutique Resort was a mixed experience, but one thing that truly stood out was the staff. They were absolutely wonderful—extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality and willingness to assist with anything really made a difference and was easily the best part of the stay.

Breakfast was decent and provided a good start to the day. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to town, which was very convenient for visiting the night market in Luang Prabang without having to worry about transportation. Their complimentary airport shuttle was also very helpful and made arrival easy and smooth. The staff also kindly helped me book my train ticket to Vientiane, which was very helpful and made the process simple.

I also arranged a full-day private trip through the hotel to the waterfalls and the boat ride. The trip itself was enjoyable, although the $145 price felt a bit on the higher side compared to similar tours in the area.

The main downside was the room condition. The rooms felt somewhat run down and could definitely use some updates and maintenance. The shower pressure was quite poor, which made showering less comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was quite slow during my stay.

Overall, the incredible kindness and professionalism of the staff really stood out and made the stay more pleasant, even though improvements to the rooms and facilities would make a big difference.

The staff made us welcome from the get go with a cold towel and a welcome drink, however, this wasn’t forced, but a really genuine interaction. We had some issues to resolve with luggage and onward transport and the front desk staff were so helpful and supportive. The hotel
Itself is set within beautifully maintained lush gardens which run down to the river, with perfect sunset views, a real bonus for a city hotel. Rooms are lovely in a classical style. Public areas are restful and the restaurant / breakfast rooms are fantastic. A wonderful city oasis, I thoroughly recommend staying in this hotel!

Everything about our stay, from start to finish, was unreal. The staff are so helpful and kind. The hotel itself is beautiful and the food in the restaurant downstairs is top notch. It’s also incredibly clean and well looked after. If I’m ever in Luang Prabang again, I’d happily revisit (and hopefully for longer!)

This really was a dream resort. The attention to detail was amazing. The service we received from the staff could not have been more attentive from Mr Anousack the restaurant manger, who cheerfully saw to our every need, to the lovely obliging receptionist. The resort is spotless. Our rooms were cleaned daily. The mattress was wonderfully comfortable. I highly recommend this resort.

Beautiful resort. Like staying in the jungle. Everything is really chill and natural. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. Helped us arrange a trip on a boat to see the caves and rented us a scooter. Absolutely beautiful hotel, recommend highly.

Oneynote, it's a 15 min walk to the center of town, or a 5 min scooter ride. They have free bicycles as well if you want to ride. It's not in the middle of everything.. But close enough. And the distance makes it nice and quiet.

Nice property with a good breakfast buffet. The room was clean and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Affordable, although the mattress was more like a boxspring which didn’t allow for a great sleep. Also, keep in mind that the free shuttle service they offer is dependent on other guests; they only have one and both times we tried to use it, we had to adjust our timing to fit their schedule.

This was our first time in Luang Prabang and the property and its staff made this a great stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful with tours and food at the property was good. The hotel offers shuttle to and from the city centre where the main attractions and night market are located. It would be nice if the hotel offered maybe an extra shuttle in the evening going back to the hotel. But overall, very beautiful property. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The staff at My Dream Boutique were so friendly and helpful and the hotel offered a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport along with a shuttle to the town centre. The room I had was clean and spacious and the grounds of the hotel were lovely surrounded by plants and a view of the river. The breakfasts were delicious and their day time menu had a lot of great Lao options as well as a few Western options. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again if I visit Luang Prabang in future.

This is a great place in this city and gives you a sense that you are staying in a local place. Very charming. We were in room 304 and had a view of roofs and vegetation… very tropical feel and private. Our only complaint is our toilet would have to wait awhile before a second flush. But that was minor considering the welcoming hospitality, wonderful breakfast and easy location.

We enjoyed a lovely stay here. There wasn’t a laundry machine in our room so we took our stuff out to the front gate and down two stores to a laundry place which was very reasonable (5kgs for only about $7). We could buy beer, sodas and snacks at the little store outside the gate too. Everyone here at the hotel was so sweet and polite. The food was great too - don’t miss the khao tom and croissants at breakfast! We found the garden pool cold but the one near the restaurant was awesome in the late afternoon. Only issue was the water in our shower was either cold or absolutely scalding - be careful! Highly recommended!

Very excellent service didn't ask for more even as I got drunk they still took care of me did not take advantage of the customers which is very good to me they weren't talking to him after I drank too much which I love that they kept himself and did their job very professional
I would go back there and stay again and I will I love the very beautiful view of the river in the back they need a little work done to the back area finish and a little fencing for the back to be safe for the employee people to come there but other than that it's excellent view

Property 15m away from airport...a gorgeous wooden property, embracing green and facing river. We had a beautiful room with super views. It was very quiet and there was total peace. Property is 10-15 cycle ride into town- cycles are not great so not so fun to ride. It was extremely hot (Aug) and so walking to town was a bit tough.
Restaurant had great views, breakfast was good though not enough veg options, but in all fairness enough fruits, salad, bread to fill your stomach!
Staff was super friendly, patient and kind.
Pool was OK, a bit small so if a crowd of 10 you feel like youre in a bathtub.

We love the place, however was little disappointed how the shampoo and body was placed. It was place by the sink and far from the shower. We broke the shampoo while having to carry to the shower stall. We had to paid but felt it was placed wrong. Please fix that issues before more people encounter similar issue. This was a great place to stay in the old town district of Luang Prabang. It was in a perfect location, immaculately clean, and had friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay. The pool was a welcome relief after you’ve been out and about. The room’s air conditioning worked efficiently. The restaurant was great with lots of food options and a wonderful breakfast buffet and lovely dinner options. This is not a party hotel but a relaxing hotel that is a little outside of town. With the use of a Tuk Tuk you can get to walking distance of restaurants, massages, shopping, and the night market. I enjoyed a massage at the hotel spa. The staff were friendly and helpful and exchanged our money so we could further enjoy our travels.

This is a 3 star hotel with 5 star staff and service. Every single interaction with staff was helpful, kind, and welcoming. From my first phone call to arrange a pick up to the airport, to the manager, Santi, walking us out to our ride back. My one issue was Expedia lists a gym for this hotel and there isn’t one. In hind sight, I’m glad I didn’t know there wasn’t a gym, because I would not have booked this hotel. I would have missed out on a perfectly delightful experience.

I enjoyed the room which was clean but I didn’t like the shower or the body wash. Maybe just a personal opinion. The staff was great but I would say always keep an English speaking front desk agent. Most please part of my trip to SE Asia! The staff are excellent, courteous, and respectful. Can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. Our room was so nice and the experience was so authentic. It is a bit further form the city center than other choices but to us the shuttle service worked fine and it was worth it to return to the peace and quiet at the end of the day. Beautiful setting along the river and the people are just super super nice! We will be back!

Our stay at My Dream Boutique was enjoyable in every way. The accomodations were lovely, clean and comfortable. We had some medical issues while there (unrelated to staying at the hotel) and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we got the help we needed, including sending someone with us to the hospital to translate. We felt well taken care of the whole time.

The grounds were peaceful and the complimentary breakfast and coffee (including latte, cappuccino, etc) in the morning was plentiful and delicious. The restaurant also served delicious food as well.

The hotel is walkable to downtown, and the staff also provide a free shuttle to and from town at certain times of day.

Whenever we visit again we will be staying here for sure!

Although the hotel is away from the city center, a boat shuttle you across the river for 10000 kip during the rainy season or a temporary bamboo bridge during the dry season. The staff is so accommodating, we truly felt as if we were at a resort. A big bonus was the lack of traffic noise due to a sound wall and low traffic street. I never heard a vehicle!!!

The resort's room is comfortable overlooking the pool. Pool is great for swimming in the hot days. May be a great place to relax for a couple of days, as its far from the centre. Other down side is a lot of smokes in the Luang Prabang region this month from the burning of the harvested fields really bad for breathing.

We had a very nice stay at My Dream Boutique Resort. We met Sand the Manager of the Resort at the airport when we were picked up following my request for the free pick-up.
Sand was especially friendly and helpful through our stay at MDBR.
It was made clear through the website and on our arrival at the hotel that refurbishment work was on-going. This did not affect our stay but I'm sure after the works have been completed the resort will be even better.

My Dream Boutique Resort is a dream....

My Dream.....is a really lovely and quaint hotel tucked away on the other side of the river; still it's only a matter of using the bamboo bridge and you are in the town centre in less than 10 minutes by foot. The hotel itself is about 10 years old and many parts in a true rustic Lao style. It has everything; nice rooms, a bar/restaurant, a pool and several times a day they provide transport to the main part of the town for free. The staff are really amazing and can't do enough for their guests. The breakfast was delicious and sitting on the terrace every morning taking your first meal of the day sipping a good coffee and everything's so still and peaceful - can't think it can get any better than that.

Have to keep up with the time's!!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel 2 year's ago in the last 2 years the older part of the building has not been touched and in need of updating to keep up with the newer hotel's in the area ie Bel air etc.Our first room had a real smell of damp not surprised as it got no fresh air the place is covered with tree's dark and no sunlight. We were moved to a room up high and was much better could see the sky

We were here for 8 nights and would stay again.

wonderful stay all-around

I decided to treat myself in Luang Prabang and found this place is aptly named \"My Dream.\" The service was very friendly and accommodating from the start. The rooms are clean and airy, breakfast buffet is amazing and the whole space is very tranquil. Make sure you check out the garden along the river in the back - better yet, get a massage out there! Great massage in a peaceful atmosphere. Take note that My Dream isn't in an area with many other hotels, restaurants, etc. To get to town, you can utilize the free shuttle (at set times), walk 5-10 min across the pedestrian bridge (which I understand they tear down for the wet season) or use their free bicycles (cross at another bridge with lots of locals on motor bikes). I didn't mind that it was \"out of the way\" one bit - but not everyone may agree. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Amazing hotel on a beautiful ground

We had a really good stay there during our 4 nights there. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
They did everything they can and beyond to faciliate guests. They even prepared a birthday cake for us :)

Beautiful Boutique Hotel

Beautiful hotel in Luang Prabang. It is definitely a hidden gem in what seems to be a very local street, with lush greenery surrounding you on entry. Rooms are clean and well presented. The pool was the perfect touch to the very hot afternoons, However it is a slight distance from the town centre, about a 15 minute walk over the bamboo bridge which is at a small cost. They do provide free shuttles though.

Rather lacated away from the city center but can get to the city by the shortcut in 15 mins on foot (bamboo bridge) also there’s a shuttle service .
Great pool (LuangPrabang old city area is not allowed to make a pool) .
Only matter is that the staff’s English command fluctuates respectively by person, had a communication difficulty while i was there. They should train some of the front desk staffs or consider hiring a good English speaker.

Great stay!

Everything about this hotel was fantastic! The room was spotless and spacious and the workers were very friendly. The pool was clean and the breakfast was filling. It was a great stay!
