Beautiful and spacious apartment. View from the room was breathtaking! Outdoor bathtub provided a relaxing end to a tiring day of travel, while soaking in the gorgeous view of the sea. Bed was comfortable and toilet was clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful, spoke some English. Breakfast was hearty and yummy. Would be even better if they have laundry services in their premise. Within walking distance to Songaksan. They're cafes, shops and convenient stores in the vincinity. Delicious Korean BBQ restaurant just a stone throw away.
Overall, one of the best accommodation we had so far. Very enjoyable stay. We have marked it as our must-stay place next time we come back Jeju!

The breakfast was superb. Not the buffet style, you typically get but you get 2 options and it's made to order. The staff were very accommodating in providing keys for late check in as reception closes at 2030. The room is just gorgeous. It's very spacious, big and have a beautiful ocean view with the ability to soak in the tub outside. Would really love to come back here again next time I'm back in Jeju

Returning to Korea for the first time since I immigrated at age 4 - now in my mid-fifties was a homecoming filled with emotion, curiosity, and a sense of rediscovery. Sharing this moment with my daughter made it even more meaningful. We chose Seogwipo as our first stop in Jeju, and Tropical Hideaway became the perfect place for this chapter of our story.

From the moment we arrived, the peaceful setting felt like a deep breath. The heated floors wrapped us in comfort each night, and the outdoor stone tub was pure magic - a blend of nature and relaxation that reminded me of how powerful a place can be. And the view… it wasn’t just beautiful, it was soul-stirring. Perfect for a solo traveller who want lone time

I truly enjoyed the time at Tropical Hideaway as a solo traveller. The proximity to the sea and the mountain, not to mention Olleh hiking trails, made it so perfect. Only downside is reataurants because most of them close relatively early. Swimming pool was almost to myself during the day, and the bathtub after night run made my day.

Very nice hotel. The room we stayed at was very nice. The decor was very luxurious. We enjoyed the terrace. Views were amazing of the 2 brother islands. There should be more signage from the parking lot to show where the reception is. There is no 24hr desk. Staff was very kind and polite. Free breakfast was well done. The area around it is a bit dead, but that was alright since we drove in anyways.

Great boutique hotel with a lovely view. Great breakfast and pool and overall well appointed. The room however is extremely dusty and the bed is so very firm it’s not at all comfortable. I am used to very firm ‘Asian style’ mattresses but this takes hard to a new level.

Beautiful property! Just like how you see it in the pictures. A lot of nice extra little touches by the hotel staff too - for example they gave us tangerines (it was tangerine season), a nice amenity kit (in addition to the standard kit that was already provided), good breakfast, good views. Really nothing to complain about if you’re driving!

This place is incredible, and highly recommended. Somewhat secluded, so a car is a major plus, but not completely necessary if you plan ahead. Staff are friendly, and accommodating.

There are eateries, and a couple convenient stores nearby, but close around 9PM or so. The restaurant/bakery attached to the hotel is also really good. You can/should go there even if not staying in the hotel. It's a western menu with quite a lot of selections, really enjoyed the black pepper chicken sandwich.

Rooms are soundproof with a lot of conveniences (bluetooth speaker, outlets...). The Hideaway is a wonderful place to get away, and maybe spot some mermaids (haenyeo) too.

Lovely place to stay in the southwest of Jeju Island. Very close to attractions on the east and south (Seogwipo) areas. There's a charging station in the parking lot. You will need a car though, makes travelling in this part of the island a lot easier.

Staff are lovely and very friendly. Continental breakfast was my highlight each morning - delicious and healthy.

Having a parking lot and the convenient store & restaurants nearby was very convenient. The only thing that I think the hotel can improve on is the refrigerator in the room because ours didn't work. I also think it would be helpful to have a 24 hour front desk service for early check-out & late check-in.

We spent 6 nights at Tropical Hideaway and we absolutely loved it. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful and the facility is beautiful. Unfortunately, we didn't have a rental car as planned, but there were things to do and see in the immediate area within walking distance. There were many restaurants close by and we also ate at the hotel several times because the food, while not traditionally Korean, was delicious.

It was a nice surprise to be able to see the Jeju women divers right outside our window one morning! Much better than the tourist \"show\" that is available!

The large infinity pool was heated to a perfect temperature as was the smaller soaking pool. The sauna was small but big enough for two and the lounging cabanas were very comfortable.

There were only a couple of things that would have made our stay even better.

1) Since we didn't have a vehicle, a washer and dryer would have been great.

2) The mattress was rock hard. Literally. It makes sense since Koreans, in general, prefer a firm surface for sleeping but after 6 nights, our backs were screaming. It might be nice to have the option of a softer mattress topper if needed.

3) It isn't possible to get anything other than coffee, tea, or water with the included breakfast. That is probably not an issue for most people but, personally, I don't drink any of those things so having an option to purchase juice or a chocolate latte would have been welcome.

Overall, we LOVED our stay and will return!!

Starting with the positives: the property has a wonderful, secluded location, the name \"hideaway\" is truly fitting. This part of Jeju was the one we liked the most - wishing we had stayed in this area for all of our trip. Both the room and the pool area were great, stylish and nicely executed.
The food at the cafe was mostly great (really loved the burgers), but avoid the avocado toast if you expect an Australian level. Breakfast was also great and the lady serving us was really friendly and accommodating when we had to leave fast.
As for the negatives: it felt like some of the staff could not live up to the expectations \"set\" by the facilities (and the price we paid). There were a few smaller things we found a bit weird, but we really did not like one incident: after finishing dinner in the cafe and already on our way to the elevator, one staff member demanded us to return our tray to the counter. We did not know then that this was expected (and also found it a bit surprising given the overall positioning of the hotel) but wouldn't have minded if we had been gently reminded to do it the next time. Staff requesting a paying guest to walk back for this instead of just taking care of it themselves is not acceptable in our view.

Beautiful and calm location. \"No kids pool\" gave a very relaxed pool experience. The view from the room is amazing - definitely try relaxing in the bathtub and admire the view. The staff was very nice. The hotel has a sister location a few minutes walk away with a restaurant called Mukjeon - specialised on Korean boiled pork, Korean savoury pancakes and seafood - don't miss this place, food is absolutely delicious here!!! Tropical Hideaway guests received a generous 20% off. The only thing that I see improvement for is that the beds are too firm.

Tropical Hideaway is a beautiful, secluded hotel. The views from our room were stunning and the room itself was clean, comfortable, and quiet.

The hotel feels like Southern California in Korea, the included breakfast was excellent and different each day. The staff was friendly and quick to help! The hotel itself is situated far from most of the other businesses in Jeju, but there are plenty of dining options and a convenience store within walking distance.

Only knock I have in on the mattress, it was too firm for my liking. A pillow top or slightly softer mattress would have been great. We can’t wait to go back!

This was hands down the best hotel my wife and I stayed at during our honeymoon. The building is new and well maintained. The room was spacious and clean, including the outdoor bathtub. You get a great view of the sunrise, Hyeongjeseom Islet and the coast from your balcony. One of our favorite experiences from our trip was relaxing in the tub on our balcony at night, watching the full moon and enjoying a beer after a long day of trekking around the island. There's also a heated pool on the second floor that opens out to the outside area as well, which was a nice bonus for us. The nearby area is pretty quiet and sparsely populated, but there are a number of restaurants within walking distance, including a good black pork bbq spot just down the street, along with two convenience stores. The cafe on the first floor of the hotel seemed popular as well. They serve mostly western dishes that we didn't try, but we enjoyed some draft beers there, including from Magpie brewery.

Situated in a quiet area of Southwest Jeju away from all the cheesy tourist attractions and crowds. Great dining options at the hotel and in walking distance.
