The cabin offers amazing views, and the staff are very helpful. There is room for improvement in the breakfast cooking, and enhancing the cleaning standards would be beneficial. There was also a lack of water, wifi was unavailable and there weren’t enough towels.

Lusty Beg was exceptional. From the rooms, to staff, food, activities, it was all brilliant and really made our stay one of the best. Staff were all great and welcoming and nothing seemed to mich to ask. Rooms were a good size, two double beds were more than enough to give us all the space we needed as a family. Food in the main building was superb, the breakfast was great and the evening dinner choices were excellent, highly recommend the lasagne. For activities, we walked the island, hired the baybikes & did archery. Dean was more than helpful with all the activities & helped add more to the great service. We will be back & will be highly recommending the place to our family & friends.

We recently stayed at Lusty Beg with my wife and our dog, opting for one of their pet-friendly rooms. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.

First, despite being advertised as pet-friendly, there were no bowls or treats provided for our dog. The room itself was quite shabby, and the bed was small and uncomfortable. The biggest issue was the room temperature. With 20-degree heat outside, the room was extremely warm, and there were no windows to open for ventilation—only a back door which we couldn’t leave open for safety and our dog could have got out.

To make matters worse, it was very noisy due to the upstairs guests. The noise from wedding guests continued until 3am, making it nearly impossible to get any sleep. Overall, our stay was far from the relaxing getaway we had hoped for.

Island getaway.

Fabulous time with my daughters - always wanted to visit Lusty Beg and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and so were the cocktails. Thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay we even did the Fairy Trail , took a dip in the pool , had lunch and dinner and then sang along with the karaoke .

Overall we had a good couple of days, lodge had plenty of space and great to have facilities to bring your dog. Would definitely go back and stay again, would recommend to book in advance for spa or boats as we initially enquire and told plenty of availability but when we went to book both were not available which disappointed a bit but a learning for us to book in advance

Oh arriving at our room it was really smelly, damp & smelt so bad. Got changed to a different room that was not smelly but had mould around windows and shower but a lot better than first room. Went to the pool, nowhere to change privately. Pool was ok. Some in our group done activities which they said were good. We had dinner in restaurant & breakfast. Food was delicious. Very slow service, took around 3 hours for dinner. Band was good, only played to half 11 though 🙁 glasses in the bar were dirty both days. Service was slow again.

“Spa facilities” was only a swimming pool. The bar area nowhere to sit and have a drink ended up having to go back to our room n wait until our dinner reservation. You don’t get to pick what accommodation you want to stay in the room was very poor and could hear the other rooms. Restaurant waiters had to ask 3 times for a glass of coke ended up going to the bar to get it myself. All n all very poor customer service

Great service by a very friendly staff. We sat by a lovely log fire and enjoyed a few drinks before going into dinner. The food was great. The room, especially the bed was luxurious in every way. The bathroom had some brown marks up the tiled walls in various parts of the bathroom.

The water taps on the sink were the wrong way around too. Hot was cold, cold was hot.

Otherwise the resort is fantastic. A lovely getaway! Staff were fantastic and a nice island to stroll comfortably at your own leisure.

I stayed in Lusty Beg with my husband and our 4 year old son. The resort had been recommended by several friends but our expectations were exceeded during our stay. The location couldn't be beaten, being right on the lake, the accommodation was very spacious and comfortable and the staff very accommodating and friendly. Would highly recommend this resort.

What a lovely wee island and rooms. The weather wasn’t great so we were not able to enjoy sitting outside. The food was good! The service was good depending on what staff was serving- some more friendly and helpful than others. On arrival no map or any information was given about Lusty Beg- so this was something that I would suggest to make a priority. We didn’t know there was a walk available until the day we were leaving!

I had waited to go to Lusty Beg for some time and thought Dads cancelled 60th party would be the perfect time to book. Pre arrival the hotel was extremely hard to contact however after a few times of trying they were able to help us extend our stay. However when we got there the service was really not good from what you would expect from a 4 star resort. We met a lovely older man manager who by day 3 was totally out of his depths and looked like he needed help on he floor. On day two we were left waiting 20mins for our pre booked table for dinner with four kis in tow. We were promised a drink on seating to lessen the pain but that never happened. The bar / restaurant was simply understaffed from watching. there was many asked for simple things litk cutlery / menus/ glasses / drinks that needed to be asked for numerous times. Just not what you'd expect for the resort. The spa was only very much basic given it rating with a totally different sea weed bath exoerience [given the new guidelines] but was also just not explained to us. Communication not what you woudl expect. We were a party of 10 and id enjoy the time but just not enough to recommend or even return, It was disappoining for a hotel we longed to visit.

The chalet was clean and comfortable. We brought the dog and nice touch was that they had left a blanket for the dog. Only negative was there were a Lot of weeds around the decking which I think after lockdown was surprising. Food in the Lodge was ok. Kids burger was way overdone but breakfast was good although the Coffee was very weak.
All in all good relaxing couple of days. WiFi in chalets is non existent which upset the teen but meant we could sit in the beer garden for longer.

We had a room which was comfortable and well furnished but too warm with no way of controlling the room temperature. The bathroom wasn’t that clean and one of the teacups had the previous guest’s dirty spoon and some tea in it. However, none of the others in our party had anything but good things to say about the hotel so this was definitely a one off! The cooked breakfast was one of the nicest I’ve eaten and the setting is beautiful.

Beautiful location, stunning surroundings, rooms are very basic for the price (no fridge in room which is needed especially as there are no shops on the island so bringing your own water/drinks/snacks are a must) we were expecting a bit more luxury having paid so much for our room, pool was fine however no jacuzzi/hottub, just a sauna, bar was good craic and breakfast was luvly with plenty of options (again no water for drinking only juice) the 4 of us did have a great time all in all.

Had booked this trip for myself, my son, my friend and her son. The boys are teenagers and on the spectrum and had been here before but the place has gone drastically downhill and the boys whose only holiday it was were gutted. The chalet smelt of damp and the beds were unclean and had bugs in them. The pool was ok but dirty as well as changing rooms. The wifi didn't work at all throughout our whole stay and the boys had brought an xbox etc so it was no use. Then when we tried to do other activities the games room was falling apart with no usable equipment paddles broken in half etc and pool table didnt take our money and the tennis court only allowed 2 people at a time and charged me £10 deposit for 2 rackets. The kids had nothing to do after walking round island. My package included breakfast but on arrival was told it didn't until I showed my email then the older lady receptionist said 'ok well if it says so'. However this info was not passed on and in the morning the breakfast staff queried when I was paying for breakfast. We were charged twice for other peoples dinner bills when paying our own and had to point it out to staff who didnt bring our change when they finally corrected the bill. The archery and speedboat activities are far too overpriced, very short and shared with a big group which we werent made aware of my son never took part in after paying due to the insensitive nature of the facilitator. On the last night the carbonara gave me food poisoning. Devastated

Service provided by friendly staff was great.

Main hotel bar and dining areas are comfortable, relaxed, and homely. The dining menu covered quite a few bases. The dishes we chose were very tasty. Wouldn't be as formal a dining environment as some other hotels in the Enniskillen area but it was grand nonetheless.

We were placed in an upstairs room in one of the houses in the resort. Nice big room with two double beds and a reasonably sized bathroom. Beds were comfy. Room was reasonably clean. Window areas could be a little cleaner. We had a couple of spiders in the room, perhaps not surprising given the rustic settings and nature of the accommodation (is separate houses rather than a modern hotel block).

Would have given 4 out of 5 overall but for the lack of sleep we had on our first and ultimately only night at the hotel. One or more of the downstairs rooms in our house and/or neighbouring houses had a number of your men who had been guests at the wedding that day. They made quite a bit of noise throughout the night which kept us a d other guests awake.

Rooms are well finished but well used. Rooms are located in detached houses, each with four rooms. These are Hostel grade.

The other guests were all on stag or hen weekends, most had brought large quantities of alcohol with them.

Food was awful. Our waitress finally admitted that the only chef on was a trainee and couldn't cope.
