We had pretty much an amazing stay, although there was a couple of points that weren’t great. For the most part, staff were amazing and kind can’t fault them, food was great and rooms and facilities great too.

During the evening we were having a few drinks, on multiple occasions we’d have to wait 20+ minutes and even go to the bar to order our drinks.

The worst part was the sheer disrespect from the manager on duty, who killed the atmosphere by forcing a talented live musician to shut down for over 30 minutes to accommodate a private function in another room. Forcing premium-paying guests to sit in dead silence is unacceptable. I had a great time with my girlfriend, but management needs to realize that all paying customers deserve respect—not just the ones at a private event.

Other than that I did have a great day/night with my partner.

We loved our stay at Lough Erne Resort! We travelled through Ireland for a week, and this property was one of the highlights in terms of accommodations. The hotel itself is beautiful, with great amenities and the rooms are perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. We loved the pool and having the beautiful golf course on-site.

Fantastic hotel, rooms don’t have air con so we’re a bit hot as I stayed in a heat wave. Windows being opened further helped but there are many flies that ended up in the room. Apart from this a lovely hotel with fantastic staff and a great bar, restaurant and breakfast. Well worth a stay.

Had a lovely stay with my husband. Staff were superb. Concierge picked up from our lodge and drove us to the restaurant since it was raining. Had a lovely meal in the Lakeside Grill. Breakfast was fantastic.
Stayed in a lake view lodge suite. Very spacious. Some areas looked a little tired and could do with a refresh in the lodge.

Room wasn’t made when we arrived and had to phone down as it was 2 singles and I had booked a double.
Visited the pool and spa area, wasn’t impressed hot tub had some grim residue on the bottom of it and some things were very worn.
Also went for a walk outside before dinner and the patio tiles were not secure which was dangerous.
Ordered drinks previous to dinner and they came out after dinner was served. Seems to be very understaffed as took a while to be noticed we had finished.
My husband had hoped to watch some rugby in the bar but was told by staff there was no tv, although we did see one in the front bar but it was very small so we decided against huddling around it.
Had never visited Lough Erne and had high hopes especially for it being a 5 star hotel but sadly I wouldn’t return.

From arrival to departure everything ran smoothly and staff were very helpful. I had an issue in relation to the size of the shower, and explained this to Amanda on reception. She immediately responded and checked with housekeeping, before calling Neil, who took me to two other bedrooms and upon seeing these, I then chose a suitable alternative. We used the spa facilities every day and walked around the grounds and the golf course daily as well. The resort is immaculately maintained by friendly staff who are full of knowledge about the local area. Dining for breakfast is either silver service or buffet style, this will vary depending on numbers staying in the hotel, which makes sense. The silver service menu is always available and I would recommend trying it. Afternoon tea was amazing, and while we ate at the bar both nights I’m sorry that I didn’t try the main restaurant, the Catalina. Is three nights enough, I thought yes to see the local area, I would recommend that you research before arriving in relation to museums, national trust properties and plan ahead. One bug bearer I did have , was the clearing of plates. Younger staff seem to walk past you or avoid eye contact, its like I’m not here. When you finish a bowl of cereal and you put bowl to the side of your table, it’s a basic indicator that you want it removed, why?, because I’m now ready for my next course and its in the way. Let me stretch out and enjoy my dining experience. Will I be back yes without doubt.

Had trip booked for my partners birthday which I contacted hotel to let them know and they said they would put note on booking. His birthday wasnt acknowledged. Cracked tiles in bathroom in bedroom, staff came in to do turn down service and left a note on pillow saying welcome back Shannon. My name is not Shannon. At dinner we ordered a bottle of wine had to ask for it as it hadn’t came to table. When brought it was left on table waitress didn’t ask if we wanted to taste and she didn’t offer to pour it either. Steam room in spa had a lot of broken tile some where lying on the floor. I was so looking forward to it as hotel is supposed to be 5star. I definitely would say it isn’t.

Special Anniversary trip

We stayed at the Lough Erne Resort for a very special wedding anniversary and overall had a lovely time. The hotel made the occasion feel special with chocolates in the room and complimentary Prosecco and sweet treats in the restaurant. The Garden Room was a real highlight, very relaxing and a beautiful place to sit and relax. Our lake-view room was also lovely, and the staff throughout the hotel were excellent- friendly, efficient, and really five-star in their service.

On the downside, the Wi-Fi was very poor and with no 4G it was difficult to stay in touch with family. The spa was smaller and busier than expected, with limited seating and not as luxurious as other spas we’ve visited. We also noticed small details like a cracked tile in our bathroom and missing tiles around the spa, which made the hotel feel less polished. Towels and robes were also quite rough rather than fluffy as described.

Overall, we had a memorable stay and really appreciated the special touches, but a little more attention to detail would bring it up to the five-star standard.

We are regular travellers . It was my wife's Birthday and she has 5 weeks hence had knee replacement surgery due to injury so we decided to stay close to home .
In general, the service was very poor but most upsetting as when the bar manager served us a bottle of wine and after we had one glass just drunk said there had been a mistake and we have to take this bottle back( served us the wrong bottle), this was played out in a relatively full bar and was incredibly embarrassing and pathetic service!!! (There was a guy that served us at lunch and in the evening, Gary and he was extremely helpful )Bar manager charged us for the 2 glasses we had and didn't even apologise!!! Following that the stem in my wine glass just chipped off.... barman saw it happen and gave a new one but again no offer of gesture of good will or apology. Good was very average , breakfast restaurant manager was superb but quality of the hot food was very poor, like it was reheated and not fresh as one would expect in a 5 star hotel. Overall it was a bad experience and many guests who were there had the same complaints.

Deeply disappointing for the price paid.
ROOM
1) Fecal matter on toilet seat.
We were greeted to our lake view room by fecal matter on the toilet seat. This is wholly inexcusable at any price point. To the hotel’s credit, they sent up a bottle of champagne when they came to sort the room out…the only issue being that we do not drink. Upon checkout we advised the receptionist that we had left the bottle untouched and that they could collect it. They then very kindly asked us for our email address so that they could contact us in the future.
2) The heat. The room was unbearably hot. There is no AC in the room. The duvets were also extremely dense which compounded our discomfort.
3) The insects. Despite keeping the window closed there were many files and insects.
BREAKFAST
We paid for breakfast when we made our booking; a fact confirmed by the front desk when we checked in. The first
morning of our stay we lined up to have breakfast and were initially told that our name was not on the list. This first process took around five minutes. A second staff member came and consulted another list. Whilst the second staff member was reviewing another list the first staff member loudly proclaimed “they have unfortunately not paid for breakfast”. This was deeply embarrassing as it was heard by the very long queue behind us. The second staff member (after some searching for another few minutes) found our name on another list. We never received an apology from the first staff member.

A beautiful stay for myself and my 1 year old. The staff were incredible, so friendly, so helpful and even remembered my son’s name the next morning on check out which was really lovely! Housekeeping were all smiles and their work in the rooms is fantastic! What would be amazing is if they had a child play park outdoors because the scenery is stunning! Beautiful walks and just peaceful! Special mention to concierge Neal who went the extra mile for myself and my son with luggage, showing me around the hotel and the walks available on the map. Really took the time! Such a pleasant gentleman and a credit to the hotel! Cannot wait to come back! Thank you to all!

I had booked a lodge but moved to hotel without notice.. this didnt suit... took 20mins to find me a lodge and then told this is normally reserved as a 2 bedroom lodge..? Great music in bar from 8-10 cocktails great as alway but expensive @ £16... stay let down as ensuite bathroom was not clean... excellent staff in bar... The only negative issue was that when on our first night before we went to bed we decided to have a cup of coffee, but we discovered that the 2 cups in our room were dirty, I was able to go to reception and get 2 clean cups, but when you spend over £500.00 pounds to stay 2 nights i really would expect this not to happen.

We spent a special anniversary weekend at Lough Erne with friends. Hotel staff were extremely welcoming and our dinner in Catalina restaurant was a highlight with beautiful food and excellent service. Staff even marked the occasion for us with a lovely decorated plate of chocolates which was a nice touch.
We did feel that housekeeping was a bit of a let down though. On arrival our bed looked as if it hadn’t been properly made, in fact it was never done very well, and on day 2 a dirty cloth was left beside our washbasin. Not major problems in themselves but not really what I’d expect from a 5 star hotel.

Just attention to detail for a 5* is lacking from paint splashes around walls to electric plugs not on correctly especially next to bath. Electrical and water dont mix well imagine a toddler or child. There was a silcone gun sitting past the lifts for a good few hours with no work person in sight. Also the breakfast menu we asked for 2 breakfast for it and they weren't available and the coffee machine was broken so could only offer filter coffee. Again not getting the 5* standard you paid for therefore expect.
The spa area for relaxing has seen better days with most cushions on the wicket furniture badly ripped and torn. The actual spa treatment was great 👍 the food was actually lovely 😍 but its the attention to detail that makes the difference.

Nice overnight stay, we did the Boatyard Distillery tour so stayed over after. Had dinner in the bar, it was fine, not bad but not great. Breakfast ok, nice to order from a menu. Room really big, lovely and very comfortable apart from pillows. Spa area very nice but dated. Beware if doing the distillery tour - it’s 5 miles from hotel but was very hard to get a taxi (and estimated to cost £30-40 each way) and hotel don’t offer transport. Only two staff members serving dinner in the bar so they were very busy, front desk staff disinterested in feedback.

This is a beautiful hotel and really peaceful. Ideal for a restful stay. Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience when we went into the library to read and were rudely told by a member of staff to leave as she was having a meeting. There was no sign on the door to indicate this and being spoken to in this manner so early on after arrival tainted our stay and our impression of the otherwise very helpful and friendly staff. We ate in the Loughside Restaurant which was beautiful. The service and food throughout our stay could not be faulted. Unfortunately our shower had signs of wear and mould and the water was not hot enough to have a bath. In the morning time the water in the shower took some time to heat.
We had an enjoyable stay but unfortunately these things were disappointing and I'm not sure I would stay again.
We had stayed here previously and had a much more enjoyable stay so unfortunately this was disappointing.

Was attending a wedding. Hotel was beautiful. Was disappointed when I came back from breakfast at 11am. My bed had been stripped and sheets thrown over a chair. Duvet and pillows were on the floor. Check out wasn’t till 12 so I don’t think house keeping should of been in my room

I recently stayed at Lough Erne Resort, and while the property, restaurant and Spa was lovely, our experience was marred by unacceptable noise from an event in the hotel. The noise levels were disruptive and made it difficult to relax, only sleeping after the event stopped at 1:30am. This issue significantly impacted my overall enjoyment of the stay. Note: A hotel representative has made contact since our stay - although we are unsure if we will return.

This property was our #1 stay of the 8 places we stayed. The property was absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are very large, bathroom is beautiful and the bed was fantastic. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The chocolate on the pillow is perfect. Great job folks of Lough Erne resort.
