The air conditioning in our room was out, so they had to move us to a different room. The service at the restaurant was not great. They staff worked hard to make things right, but it was not the weekend we were hoping for.

The room was clean but….needed some TLC. Carpet needed a deep shampoo cleaning. The bathroom while nice needs a remodel-peeling wallpaper, very low sinks and outdated, scratched cabinets. Needed new window drapes(were stained) and new patio doors-they have condensation on them as they aren’t double paned. Trees on patio need to be trimmed to view the beautiful golf course and water feature by main entrance. Water in sink smells of sulfur (i assume from well) needs a treatment. It’s a beautiful resort in a stunning location, great amenities. But needs someone to invest in the upkeep needed to bring it from 1996 to 2026.

There were several positive aspects to my visit, including the ample parking, effective air conditioning, and comfortable king bed. I also appreciate your staff's prompt assistance in providing a microwave (rooms are not equipped with microwaves) and extra towels.

However, I would like to highlight several areas for improvement. The rooms and pool area are outdated, particularly the room carpeting. Additionally, the ice machine outside our room was non-functional throughout our stay. Regarding the golf facilities, while the course was in decent shape, the driving range is in poor condition, and the $150 weekend rate was overpriced.

Most importantly, I encountered a billing discrepancy during checkout. At checkout we were advised that we had only paid a resort fee for one night when booking the three night stay on Expedia. My Expedia booking confirmation showed a total of $567, yet the resort’s records indicated only $511 had been paid. Despite having already paid the higher Expedia rate, I was required to pay an additional $50 resort fee.

The first King Suite room we were put in had broken toilet, and broken tiles in the entry to the room. Luckily they switched us right away and the next room was decent. But for the price you pay, I would have assumed a little bit of better care would have gone into the property.

The property needs maintenance. And hopefully that is under review & in the process. The balconies have railings that are rotted, the stairs are very steep with low railings that are not very useful if you're over 5'5\".
Watch your credit card, I was charged for a pet fee and didn't bring a pet. They fixed it right away, but it should have never happened either. Very disappointing.

The restaurant, staff and bar are very nice and the food is fantastic!

This was our 2nd time staying at this resort. Our room was clean, it does have a slight smell not sure how to describe but I spray lysol and it helps. We ate at the restaurant, food was good, service is slow being only one waitress they could use some help. The golf course is great. overall we enjoyed our stay and we will be back again.

This has to be one of the worst false advertising on rooms that I have ever seen. Pictures On-line paint a totally different picture. Our first night there was water running from the ceiling vent, so we had to switch rooms. The next room the TV won't work, and the bed must be broken. The shower makes a terrible noise and doesn't keep the same pressure. I asked to be moved to another room, more like what is actually shown but only got the General managers name (Paul Rushofsky) instead. I won't recommend this place to anyone.

When we booked our trip, we called the resort to make an appointment for the spa and we were told to wait until closer to our stay. When we checked in and asked about making a spa appointment, we were told the spa burned down. There was no sign of the spa building that had been at the resort 4 years prior when we stayed there at that time so it obviously burned a long time ago and we should have been told that when we booked the stay. There was an adults only pool which was directly connected to the family/kids pool so we still heard the screams and squeals of all the kids so no peaceful relaxation at the pool. The room was very outdated and I couldn’t even turn the shower on- my husband had to turn it on every time I needed to shower. Very disappointed in the resort.

The place had beautiful views and potential to be a 5 star place. The room we stayed 826 had bugs of some type like sugar aints or Nat’s. When I asked about changing rooms or something nothing was available so that was a huge downside for us so we spent 99% of our time away from the room!

A nice option for hill country golf resort. Food was good, and the wait/bar staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The course was in pretty good shape.

The room had a patio, but right on the edge of the patio were two air conditioning units with walls behind them reflecting the sound back to the patio, so sitting quietly on the patio wasn’t an option.

And enjoyable weekend.

What can I say, Tapatio is my favorite getaway to rest and rewind.
Brought a friend who just loved , having helpful personnel, and NO STRESS!
Everything is taken care or for you. I might add, after visiting at least 10 or more times the restaurant is the best it has ever been, Devine pork chops!!

We enjoyed our peaceful stay with beautiful golf course. Some noise from people above us, but was otherwise quiet. Pools could of used a good cleaning. Hot tub water cloudy so we didn't get in. We enjoyed the singers outside. We didn't find much for food options and no microwave in our room. Room was clean as were the property grounds. Family friendly.

I have been dreading writing this review all day because I wanted to love this resort; however, this was basically a dump. It’s a fantastic lobby area but the hotel is basically a mid 1980s apartment complex. Everything from the tiles to the faucets to the bathroom to the exterior of all the buildings screams 1985. For a resort the pool looks like a 1985 apartment complex pool, there’s no gym or spa. Now the lobby area is top notch, and the golf course looked nice. But this was the biggest disappointment of a resort that I can think of. If you have a bunch of drunk buddies on a golf weekend, it might work - but if you are with your spouse or family, hard pass!

The rooms were really dated. The furniture, decor, carpet, lighting, and especially the bathroom, felt like a blast from the past. The resort was like a ghost town when we were there. The grounds overall and clubhouse seemed to be updated and maintained but the rooms were not renovated or updated at all. It felt dirty and it smelled musty. We will not be back and would not recommend it for anyone.

Although this is billed as a 'resort', it is far from the quality and attention to detail that you would find in a typical resort. The rooms are very outdated, in poor condition, and are not really clean. The grounds around each of the 10 buildings where the rooms are have not been landscaped in years. It is all dirt, dust, trash, and dilapidated siding that has not been painted in at least 10 years. Maid service does not exist, even when requested. The main building is okay, and the food is somewhat decent at the restaurant. This is NOT a resort. It is a Motel 6 with a clubhouse.

The room was particularly small and dark, with a dampness on the bedding because of the humidity in the room. We upgraded for a view even though they advertised the room had multiple views. Our view was of a yard with a fence. The room wouldnt cool but the thing that helped our decision to leave was the roach crawling across the headboard. We lasted about 45 min. in there and called front desk to let them know why we were leaving. Then I saw that we were charged for the room the day before we arrived. Terribly disappointing since we were there to celebrate 25 yrs of marriage.

This \"resort\" was probably the place to visit 30 years ago. They have invested in the golf clubhouse, pro shop, lobby, and main building but the rooms likely haven't been updated in 25+ years. We paid to have a suite, it was large, the bed was nice, but otherwise it was in rough shape, the bathroom had broken floor tile, peeling wallpaper, the tub filler spout wasn't even attached to the wall. We also had ants in the bathroom the first morning.

We went for a weekend getaway and were excited to relax by the pool, but that didn't really happen. We went out to the pool area about noon on Saturday, the entire outdoor bar had been overtaken by a birthday party for a small child, with decorations, streamers, matching shirts and 25-30 people easy. Then after that party ended, in the area by the pool where you could play corn hole and similar was overtaken by child's birthday party this one included bounce houses, a bubble foam cannon, and reception tables setup for like 40 people. The resort had a small pool area for adults only, which becomes irrelevant when it is surrounded by bounce houses and down range from a bubble cannon. It felt more like a Chuck E. Cheese than a resort. At nearly $250/night for the room, 'resort fees\" and taxes, it felt more like a 2-star hotel masquerading as a resort.

Be aware of the following:
The bathrooms need MAJOR updating. I’m talking the cracked/loose tile, missing grout, and yellowing wallpaper are like something out of a 1981 horror movie. Drain cover missing. Mold growing under the caulk in the shower. The tile is deadly slippery when wet! Yikes! It’s like they got halfway thru the remodel and gave up (or ran out of money). The exterior of our building (#3) was scary with the yellow light bulbs and the crumbling second story walkway.
Buyer beware: there is no elevator to the second floor rooms. You can opt-in to a first floor room if possible. Imagine dragging your full suitcase up the stairs…it’s comical.
The food at the on-campus restaurant was “ok” but I would recommend going in to town and eating somewhere else. You will need to drive between your building and the clubhouse/front desk, so bring your own vehicle. I can’t even imagine if it was raining. Honestly I would consider the accommodations more of “Motel”-like with exterior doors, dark, dimly lifted stairwells and walkways. Not sure why they are not updating this place fully after almost 45 years. Oh also the “king” beds are NOT standard size.
Anyway, all that to say i would come back if I could confirm they have any rooms with recently updated bathrooms. The location and the pool atmosphere was great. The clubhouse is beautiful and the live music was fun. So I’m torn on if I’d stay here again but not sure there is anything better in town.. Maybe a VRBO?

Great resort although it is a bit tired. The bed was super comfy and the room a good size but the bathroom is dated. The clubhouse and restaurant is modern and well presented although during a torrential rainstorm the balcony roof leaked like a sieve. Staff were friendly enough although rule followers with no flexibility on how customer should work over their process. I would stay again. Pretty good value for money. The Chicken Fried Chicken dish in the restaurant is the best.

The lobby, bar and restaurant were really nice. The room is old and had a musty smell. The bathroom door was wedged up against the toilet and had to be pushed to open. The balcony curtain rod came apart when opening. The anniversary strawberry’s were hot and the anniversary drinks with chips were not good. The bed is so uncomfortable and the room was way too small to enjoy.

The service was slow and dismissive in addressing a menu discrepancy. After initially disputing the issue, the waiter confirmed the mistake after a long delay. When my wife expressed frustration, the manager intervened but, instead of honoring my request to have the food boxed, took it away entirely. Despite this, we were still charged half the price because I had eaten nearly half while waiting for a resolution. This response only added to the frustration. Better customer service and fairer resolution practices are needed.

The service and communication were disappointing throughout our stay. After reporting the restaurant issue and our frustration to the front desk the next morning, we were told we would receive a response, but no follow-up ever came. Additionally, I reported mold in the bathroom with photo evidence and informed them we would be away for a few hours, hoping for a resolution. Again, there was no response. Ultimately, we checked out on Sunday morning feeling completely disregarded and disappointed. Improved communication and accountability are necessary.
