Such a turn off!

Everything was great until a rude female bartender ruined our stay. Since there was no kettle in the room, we went to reception asking for a kettle or some hot water. The receptionist told us to get from the counter opposite to the bar. When we came out, encountered this female bartender who said we should not get the hot water with the porcelain cups there and we explained. She even said loudly in our “class” we didn’t deserve a kettle. What a rude way to treat the customers, she not even know what rooms or suites we stayed in and she was still after us…

The room was beautiful and modern with a huge window with a lovely view of the city and waterways. The breakfast buffet was excellent! The staff were friendly. I want to mention that the desk chair at the foot of the bed does not push in all the way and the legs slant backwards which impedes the walkway and is a tripping hazard in the dark. I would suggest a different chair or relocate the desk.

Great stay with a toddler

We stayed at Scandic Parken for 2 nights with our 18 month old daughter and it was an excellent base to explore Ålesund. Parking was very convenient with a door leading from the car park straight to the hotel elevator. We were able to check in early and the requested cot was already set up in our room. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable with a bath, which is ideal with a little one! Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Ålesund. We highly recommend.

Most of the facilities is like other Scandic hotels we stayed at. However, when there’s an advisory for tap water unsafe to drink, there’s no water kettle in the room. In addition, ground floor close to nearby bar and quite noisy into pass midnight.

Beautiful views, good location

The hotel was in a good location to walk around Ålesund. The breakfast buffet was tasty - lots of options. The staff was nice and efficient. Only negative - thin, rough towels.

Loved the property! Our king room on a higher floor had an amazing view of the town and water. View was just as good from our window as it was from that steep hike you can do to overlook the town. Ceiling to floor windows. We left curtains open all night it was so pretty.

Staff was great. Friendly and nice

Only criticism is parking. Had to parallel park on the hilly streets and move the car by like 7am or pay a lot for hotel lot. But parking in Norway at hotels is expensive and rare

The hotel is centrally located. We stayed there the night before the Geiranger fjord cruise. It was walkable from the hotel to the boat dock. Also, the hotel prepared a breakfast to go because we left before the dining room opened. It was very good service on their part.

It’s a wonderful location with harbor view. There are things to be improved. The Wi-Fi service was not working but the staff refused to acknowledge that. It was not due to heavy traffic because there was no signal even at 3am. And the shower doors are designated such that you always flood the bathroom when you get out of the shower

This is a lovely hotel right in the centre of Alesund. It is just steps from the main street. The bus from the Alesund Vigra airport can drop you off 3-4 minutes walk from the hotel. It is also only about 7-8 minutes on foot to the cruise terminal (incl. the Geiranger fjord ferry).
The hotel is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is generous and tasty. There are options to buy snacks and amenities you may have forgotten (razors, chargers, etc.) at the reception 24 hrs a day.
Some of the rooms have lovely views overlooking the city.
I would definitely stay here again.

Clean and nice hotel room, with a nice view to the ocean. Welcoming and nice staff. Breakfast tasted good with a wide variety of things to choose from. The price was a bit steep, especially seeing as parking was not included. One day cost us 250NOK in parking.

Not worth the money

La mejor opción desde que llegue a Noruega! Perfecta ubicación cerca de terminal portuaria, buses turísticos ,restaurantes y tiendas
las instalaciones amplias, nítidas, hacen limpieza cada dia en la habitación algo cada vez mas difícil de encontrar, tv smart, la habitación con excelente iluminación y ventilación natural

Pent men kjedelig

Pent, men noe underveldende. ‘Superior’ rom var ikke noe større enn et helt standard hotellrom, ingen poeng å betale ekstra bare for litt bedre utsikt (spør du meg). Frokosten var også ganske kjedelig, på samme måte som rommet er det ikke så mye å klage på, men heller ikke så mye å skryte av.

Lyxigt men varmt rum.

Stort och fint rum. Vi var i Norge sju nätter och detta var vårat finaste boende. Men! Det var 30 grader ute och tyvärr väldigt varmt på rummet. Trots öppna fönster fick vi aldrig ner temperaturen så att det blev behagligt. ACn funkade ej (gällde hela hotellet). Ganska stort minus för detta då flera andra hotell klarade av att ha svala och härliga rum. Detta var också vårat dyraste boende och då borde man kunna leverera bättre.
Ligger perfekt nära aksla.
Mycket kvällsliv som hördes på grund av de öppna fönstren.
Ofta kö i hissen och barnen fick ingen mocktail (trots att det tydligen var en sommardrive på detta på alla scandic..)
Stimmig frukostmatsal utan fönster men god frukost.

Sentral beliggenhet, god service og fint opphold!

God service og komfortabel opphold. Personalet på resepsjon hadde god kompetanse på kollektiv transport, restauranter og sightseeing steder. Fikk god og relevant informasjon hver eneste gang vi hadde spørsmål om lokale forhold. Følte oss veldig ivaretatt. Hadde hjulpet med vannflaske på rommet og en vifte da det var veldig varmt om natten. Frokosten var veldig variert med et rikelig utvalg av varme og kalde retter. Har bodd på hotellet tidligere og vil gjerne bo der igjen neste gang vi er i Ålesund.

Highs and lows

På pluss-siden: Flott personalet, gode senger, bra renhold, godt trykk i dusjen og topp beliggenhet.

Negativt: Rommene hadde ikke air-conditioning og når vi skulle legge oss så var det 27 grader! Frokost var helt gjennomsnittlig med eggerøre og bacon var virkelig ikke bra. Parkering helt krise hvis man har stor bil. Må være Norges trangeste plass!

Flott hotell med sentral beliggenhet. Rom med aircondition og fungerende kjøleskap. Veldig bra frokost. Stor parkeringskjeller med direkte tilgang til lobbyen.

オーレスンでは大きなホテルになるのではと思います。何処に行くにも便利な場所にあり、施設にも不満はあませんが、日本国内のホテルと比べると、歯ブラシやスリッパ等はないので持参する必要があります。
