Excellent choice for anyone arriving in Alesund by ferry as the hotel is right next to the ferry terminal. Comfortable rooms and great breakfast. Very helpful staff. Easy walking distance to bus station.

Our reserved room was moved for a wedding party. Our new room had a view of the roof, which echoed when the cigarette smokers partied and yelled when on the cell phone. We were told that the wedding party was Only in one wing of the hotel, which was not true because we saw them two rooms down from us. I do not know if our reserved room also had a poor view. We did not ask. In our room was a case box for a mini fridge but it was missing or stolen or otherwise not present. Trash was on the roof. In the WC was some red on the ceiling which is consistent with intravenous drug use. We left it alone. We decided to leave early due to all of these issues.
Additionally, our room had supplies to make coffee and tea, but no spoons were provided. I suppose that hardy Norwegians stir their hot beverages with their finger.

I booked a waterview room and they gave me a city view, i came from Mexico in a long conexions and they did not have the rooms that i was expecting, all was about a water view, they said all the family rooms do not have water view, but the hotels webpage gave me the option for 4 people and i paid extra money for water view

During check in we were assured that a room would be ready soon. We waited almost an hour and finally had to ask again and were told the room had been ready except no one told us
At check out, the clerk failed to bill us for a meal and we wound up having to pay by credit card while we were elsewhere. A bit of confusion during the communications between us. Ultimately resolved. The hotel itself is great and we ahd a very plesant three day stay

Good location for the Hurtigruten cruise but hotel facilities felt a bit outdated. Maybe we were also a little unlucky with the room - we found a broken glass in the room (though quickly changed by staff) and bathroom flooded during the shower. That said, staff were friendly and accommodating when we asked to wait in the lobby for a few hours after check-out. Also lovely sunset view from the hotel terrace.

The pros of this hotel; The staff are very friendly, the patio view is gorgeous, the lobby is very hip & chic, easy location to get to and travel from, the room was super warm and ready when I arrived from the cold rain. (Also, first television in a Norwegian hotel that had apps). It was clean but not spotless clean and the rooms were not to the same decor level as the lobby. I’m also heard some occasional odd noises through the plumbing (assuming from another room).

We arrived early and hotel refused to check us in despite the room being available. They tried to charge an extra $40 for the extra 2 hours. The following day other guests got to check in early without paying. We felt that the whole situation was very arbitrary. Restaurant staff was very helpful and kind. Amazing!!

Had an amazing night here, bed was super comfy and the room was lovely with a nice view of the sea. The staff were incredible, couldn't do enough to help us and the food in the restaurant was nice too. Highly recommend as a great place to stay in Alesund!

We were family of 12 with 5 kids and we enjoyed our stay.
Checkin was easy and host was very helpful with directions and information regarding attractions near by.
Since we were leaving early at 6.30 and breakfast starts at 8, they even had breakfast To-Go bags which made rest of our trip very easy.
Would highly recommend...

Hello,
I stayed at your hotel for three nights (from April 3rd to April 6th ). At reception, I was asked whether I wanted daily housekeeping, which I did.
On Saturday afternoon, I informed the reception that the room had not been cleaned. The receptionist explained that there was not enough staff and provided me with clean towels instead.
On Sunday, the room was again not cleaned. At checkout, I mentioned this to the receptionist, who confirmed that daily housekeeping was indeed recorded in the system.
It is very disappointing to pay for a service that was not provided, two days in a row, despite following up. This is not in line with what is expected from this type of establishment.

Das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen. Das Personal ist freundlich und das Essen (Frühstücksbuffet und à la carte am Abend) sehr lecker. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können es auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Quality Hotel Ålesund var et veldig bra hotell, og er det for såvidt enda. Det er imidlertid i ferd med å bli nokså \"slitent\". Jeg synes også frokost holdt høyere kvalitet tidligere, f.eks. så savner jeg speilegg som er steikt på begge sider. Dette er en bagatell, fordi man kan nok be om det, men likevel. Så ble jeg sittende fast i en av de to heisene forrige gang jeg var der. Nå ser jeg at den ene heisen er ny, så det er bra. Hyggelige ansatte og et ypperlig lobbyområde til for å jobbe på pc'en, trekker opp.
