We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was lovely and had a comfortable bed and a great shower. Everything was very clean. We had our own seating area outside with a small pool to sit in, which was great to come back to after a long walk.
Smaragdi is in Artemonas, away from the coast and right next to the main town of Apollonia. Both towns were lovely to have a wander through and there were enough restaurant nearby, although some were just opening up in May. You can walk to Apollonia in about 15 minutes. There is a lovely path through both towns and I would recommend using that as opposed to walking down the road, which we did the first time.
There was a map of the area at the bus stop, showing a variety of short walks too. We choose a longer one that we found on Alltrails.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks to everyone there for a great stay. Breakfast, which we had included, was fantastic and very substantial. Highly recommend.
