Samaragdi Hotel was an absolute pleasure to stay at. Friendly staff, clean rooms and less than 2 minute walk to the beach. They can assist booking excursions such as the Santorini volcano boat tour, which I highly recommend. I was upgraded to a pool view suite and it was stunning. They do not offer breakfast, but with so many options nearby, it’s not a problem. I would absolutely stay here again!

Maria, the owner of the hotel, along with all the staff, are so kind and will help you with anything you need. Beautiful site and rooms. Very clean hotel and super professional team. Very nice to have sunbeds for free at Safran restaurant as a guest of Smaragdi. Lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner in just a 2 min walk to the beach with a beautiful view. Perfect location to have best of both worlds, relaxation and exploring the island. Will definitely be back!

One of our favourite places we stayed during our vacation. Pool area was beautiful and well kept. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful (showed us how to get around, hired us transportation, etc.). Location was very convenient; a 5 minute walk to all the restaurants, shops, beach, and bus stop. Plus, by staying at this hotel you get a discount at one of the local restaurants plus free sun beds. The area is also a lot less crowded than other areas on the island. Highly recommend!

I realise that gushing about somewhere on a review site gives the impression that you are motivated by something other than the quality of the place but in this case, the Smaragdi Hotel was fantastic on every level. Primarily, it was Maria and Christina on the front desk - as well as their blonde-haired collage whose name I never got - who were so friendly and helpful to myself and family that it really made the holiday. The place itself has an amazing pool, handy bar and library and is in a really peaceful setting; the attention to detail (room fixtures, air-con, kettle, fridge) is also exceptional. Frankly, I'm loathe to let more people know about this place in case I never manage to get another booking but there you go, I have to be honest: it's an absolute treat of a hotel.

Smaragdi hotel is a great hotel! Our favourite part was the pool area and the dinning options nearby. The area around the hotel was a bit quieter and we had to walk down the beach to get to a more lively area. The staff were amazing and super accommodating! The only issue we had was the noises coming from the room above us. However, the staff happily moved us to a new room!

The staff are so friendly and attentive. We arrived well before check in but they still found us a room within an hour. Beautiful balcony view overlooking the pool. The rooms are clean, air conditioned and has a small fridge to store water and some food. The property is just steps to the beach and close to lots of great restaurants. The morning of check out, they accommodated a late check out, which was very appreciated. You can always store your luggage and still use their bathroom or shower. Do not hesitate to book here!

The hotel is so convenient for the beach and tavernas yet situated on a quiet back street. The staff are amazingly helpful and really make this hotel. Our ( standard) room was spacious and clean. Perissa is not the pretty side of the island but staying here is affordable and the hotel is well situated for the bus stop to take you to Fira and Oia . Staff were great at arranging taxis too - we visited pretty Red Beach (15 min taxi ride)

This place is real oasis of calm, it’s in an excellent location, it’s extremely clean and the staff are all so so lovely. It’s peaceful and relaxing. The beach is a few minutes walk and there is an array of restaurants and shops close by.

Lots of eating places within a short walk. All similar price ranges a few more expensive but generally the same .. generally all good quality food.. Would highly recommend Smaragdi as a base.

They housed our luggage while we continued exploring. They had beach towels for use too. Well worth it!

Very welcoming and helpful staff with a perfect environment for a relaxing stay, close to all amenities and the beach. Myself and my partner found this to be perfect for what we wanted and would love to return. Transfers were arranged with no trouble, meals were sorted and all the help you could require was on hand. The pool area is paradise and our \"partial sea view\" balcony was the perfect private area to relax and watch the world go by. We love Santorini.

Staff are fantastic and friendly. Knowledgeable and pleasant to spend time with as I went in the quieter season. Can’t do enough and deal with everything straight away. Such a pleasant little place, peaceful and beautiful. Nice rooms and 2 mins to the beach. They have free parking which they don’t advertise and give free sun beds at the beach. They a family run place and talking to guests some people have gone for 10+ years. 5 mins from local beachside restaurants and in the middle of the famous beach. On the quieter side of the island but a short taxi if you want a busier side of things but this place offered enough for me for a few days and I did a day trip to see the more famous/Instagram parts but honestly this place was a hidden gem

The staff at the Smaragdi Hotel are quite Sumy fantastic - quite simply the best. Attention to every detail and nothing too much trouble. So kind. We arrived early but were able to check in without a problem and the bar/pool area was wonderful. They even brought us clothes pegs for our swimstuff which was drying outside but at risk of blowing away in the wind. Highly recommended.

Quite nice, need car.
This was a little difficult to find at first. There is parking in a lot nearby. Nice pool, quite cool. Service was great, as was our room. It was windy while we were here so we did not go to the beach, but enjoyed the pool area. The area isn’t great and you definitely need a car. Upon arrival via ferry we found a rather dirty car for 25 euro a day which was great.
In our room there were drawers, but they were rather difficult to open. Bed was 2 twins without the centre piece so if you want to cuddle someone will end up half in the hole. Otherwise the room Size is good and we had a nice deck. We would stay here again.

Beautiful grounds, nice pool area, great location...so close to the beach. The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is the bed was extremely firm and the pillows were very lumpy. That is my only compliant. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful!

The property is beautiful and located within walking distance to the beach. Prior to arrival hotel provided prompt response to help me schedule airport transfer and info on tour excursions. Dimitris picked us up from airport holding a sign with our names and drove us to hotel.

Things to improve: Breakfast menu never changes. which is a problem for long stay.
AC auto shut down when any door/window is open. This is a good idea but sensors are not perfect. many times we had to close and open window in order to run AC.

Staff was INCREDIBLE. Never been given a hug when I left back to the airport from front desk workers. So incredibly nice. Air conditioning could’ve worked better though. Friends didn’t have a problem with that in their rooms so must’ve just been mine.

Good location- walking distance to beach and hotel is cute... However- electricity went out several times, water didn’t work (couldn’t shower before flight - was told to - ‘wait awhile’, dog barked outside ALL night, given one towel for three days, a lot of flies in room, wind whistling all night could hear in room loudly. Decent price for a good location but I would spend a little more next time...

We love Smaragdi Hotel, the staff are all nice, kind and helpful. The hotel is walking distance to the bus station, the mini market, the black sandy beach, restaurants and clubs, atm machine. Staff friendly and helpful. Room very nice but no view of beach or water. This hotel is a little out of the way. Our room was very nice. The bathroom was challenging which is why the 4 rating. Unfortunately, the recommended restaurant (with a 5% discount for Smaragdi guests) was the worst meal we had on our 2 weeks in Crete and Santorini. There are more choices in and near You will not find a nicer staff anywhere.

Lovely little hitel
The perfect base for exploring Santorini. Lovely little hotel, nice and quiet with really helpful staff. Really clean and all amenities perfect - pool really lovely with plenty of sun beds. Only a short 1/2 minute stroll to the beach with plenty of restaurants and bars along the sea front. 5 minute walk to bus stop with good connection to Fira running all day and night until late so no worries about getting back! Can also get connecting buses to other towns.
