We had the most amazing stay at Ekies, I honestly can’t fault anything. The room was huge, spotlessly clean and stunning in design. The swimming pool was beautiful and a real treat to dip into each day. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was out of this world! Planning our next trip back already!! Thank you Ekies ❤️

Good location but overpriced

While the hotel is well placed and looks luxurious on the photos, we were a bit disappointed overall:
- there were 2 wedding parties over the 4 nights we stayed there meaning that facilities on the beach and restaurant were limited and there was loud music until 1am. The music was so loud in the restaurant during dinner time that the waiter could not hear our order and when we complained about the noise, they said the sound system could not be partitioned. It made us feel like 2nd class clients even though we also paid to be in the hotel and use their facilities. No communication about the weddings was made prior to our arrival, we were only told about the first wedding at check-in, and never about the second.....so be careful if there is a wedding, unless you are attending :)
- the room was impractical for modern use (e.g. only 1 accessible power socket, the others were used by the TV, phone, etc. so one had to unplug them if you wanted to charge more than one mobile phone at a time). Stylish design, but severely restricted movement space and patio doors blocked by countertop. Poor soundproofing too
- Vehicle entrances poorly signposted and very difficult to find. The first sign from the main road in the village is tiny compared to other signs; the secondary parking entrance is not signed at all save for a large purple owl deep in the woods, and the front gate is easy to miss

Positives: excellent breakfast with lots of choice, very nice beach, friendly and polite waiters

Enjoyable, Instagramable, lots of kids

We were a couple. The junior suite is small and there is limited Space outside to dry clothes and sit and have a private drink. And the hotel is 75% instagramming couples with young kids which can be annoying, the pool is unusable if you are a grown up. BUT the food, drinks and service is very good on the main bar and the beach. Lovely staff.

Lots of style and good services.

The resort is stylish, comfortable and offers excellent facilities and good service. The incredibly nice staff at the reception upgraded us to a huge suite, so we were happy and grateful. Despite the wedding taking place just under our windows, the night was quiet. Breakfast is also excellent. The beach is well equipped but, on the minus side, is narrow and the water very shallow, more similar to a sort of lagoon. Certainly not the best beach in the region. We will come back next year.

Ekies hotel

Stayed for 4 nights with kids. Impressive was hotel’s decor and coffee at breakfast. Also, Spa was worth of paying a visit.
1. Beach towels were not available at all.
2. TV did not work until technician fixed it (it took him 45 minutes so my son missed the first half of football game).
3. Sithonia beaches are amazing but the one next to the hotel was not as pleasant to get into as others. We had to go (7 minutes walk) to Karidi beach where the swimming was great.
4. Food was average. For typical Greek food it’s better to go to the restaurant “Paris” that served an amazing lunches and dinners (5 minutes walk by the beach).
5. Water in the swimming pool was very cold.
6. For kids club you have to pay additionally per hour.
We had a good time as we were with friends. I can definitely recommend Sithonia but not Ekies.

The staff make this wonderful resort even better.

This was one of the most pleasant beach vacations we have had. The resort is fantastic, the food amazing, the beaches beautiful and the views amazing. However what made this trip truly magical was the friendliness, postive attitude and care from the staff. From the moment we checked in until the time we left we were made to feel like the only guests there. The only issue I would point out is that the walls seem very thin and we could hear people both next door and outside the rim clearly. In fact I spent an hour trying to find a phone in the room only to eventually realise that it was buzzing messages for the person next door :) on a couple's weekend it just make you somewhat self conscious. Overall though, we loved it here and can't wait to come back for all that it has to offer.

Lovely resort

A well laid out resort where everything leads down to the beach. Sea front restaurant. Good, if narrow, beach. Sheltered, calm, shallow water, ideal for young children. Go out a little bit, or go from the floating deck and it is good for swimming. Always plenty of comfortable sun beds available.

Just got back from Haladik we had a amazing time,would definitely recommend this hotel...
Staff are very friendly and helpful,hilight of the holiday was hiring a boat trip to the Delores island breathtaking scenery and crystal clear waters...

Beautiful in design and very clean!

5* from me. A very high standard in my opinion as I work in the hospitality industry. Dimitree at reception is more than happy to help and all the waiter staff are brilliant. Only small criticism is rooms could do with good hair dryer and plenty of coffe and sugar top ups.

great for adults and kids!

Maybe hotel is really cool for the adults with really great breakfasts and bar food and a quite expensive but lovely restaurant. But most importantly great for the kids to. Great play area and quite a few other kids so you don't feel you're ruining the party! The hotel beach is very small so only really good for sunbathing but a 10 min walk can take you to a fantastic beach around the corner. If you rent a car there are fantastic beaches within 30 mins for great day trips. Highly reccomend!

Excellent place to unwind, with or without kids

We spent a week there with our 7 year old. Facilities were excellent, my son found plenty to do, and friends to do it with. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Food menu was a bit small, so repetitive, however there are a few places nearby to eat. We will be back.

An enjoyable stay !

The hotel has a great design and location. It’s the best in the Sithonia area. The food was good,and the breakfast excellent. We would personally like to thank George the guest relations manager for making our stay so memorable. The only negative point for us as a married couple is that the hotel is mainly for families with young children. I would not recommend this hotel for single travellers or couples. If you do have children then it’s heaven !

This is a great resort. High end resort with good service and food. Resort have a dedicated beach. We were a couple for a full week in start of July. This hotel was choosen due to their SoMe marketing (insta and more). Very nive architecture, placement and more. What is NOT covered ib their SoMe markting is that 99% of the customers are famlies with small kods. During our stay it was more like a kindergarten then a hotel.... Even if hotel is very nice, food if great, etc, we would not recomend this hotel is you are looking for a couple retreat. The you need to find other solutions. Sad, because this is a great resort, and the arctuitecture, restaurant and bar area etc is very nice. However we woke up ewith small childeren crying, went to bed with small children crying and the beach was full of famliles with children.

Tweede keer hier en net zo fijn. Mooie kamers. Fijne omgeving. Eten is bovengemiddeld voor een resort. Qua eten zijn de enige minpunten zijn dat drankjes relatief prijzig zijn én dat ze echt even moeten kappen met overal te pas en te onpas truffelolie op te gooien. Komt meteen zo goedkoop over terwijl ingrediënten prima zijn!
Gym blijft erg prettig. Barbell is wel aan vervanging toen. Oud type van rogue erg dun en is gebogen dus rolt van je rug af.
Misschien eco belofte waarmaken en investerende een waterfilter. In plaats van slepen met plastic flessen.

Stukje paradijs op het Europese vaste land. We komen zeker een keer terug. We kregen een upgrade dus qua kamer hadden we waar voor ons geld. Het ontbijt was goed.

Eten verder prima, wel aan dure kant voor Griekenland.

Paar kleine verbeterpunten zijn dat ze een verdelger voor de wespen moeten bellen, dat is een probleem wat echt makkelijk op te lossen is. Er lijkt gewoon ergens een nest te zitten.

Ik waardeer het dat ze de ambitie hebben naar “zero waste” te gaan, dan snap ik alleen niet dat ze geen kraanwater serveren in de restaurants en bar. Op de meeste plekken in Griekenland krijg je dat zonder erom te vragen. Nu is het kraanwater in Griekenland niet erg lekker, dus is het prima om het te filteren en er een bedrag(je) voor te vragen. Maar om met glazen flessen uit Italië te blijven slepen slaat echt nergens op. Overigens plastic flessen voor een redelijk bedrag beschikbaar, maar erg vervuilend en. Ergens voor nodig!

Als je je snel ergert aan kinderen is dit misschien niet de plek voor jou.

This Hotel offer you two options: spend all your holydays in the Hotel (they have everithing: private beach, bar on the seafront, an excellent restaurant, SPA, etc.), or drive around and find a new beach every day.
Really we did both: some day in and some day out to discover the beautifull Sithonia peninsula.

You can say good, but still...

We booked Standard Double at the 1st floor by 236 euros per night. One month earlier I called to make sure that they would not put us to a higher floor because I have a dissability problem. They ignored that and gave us a tiny room at the second floor. The Standard Double bedrooms are nothing like the photos. There's no room to put your luggage, you have to put it on the floor or else in a wardrobe that you have to bend in order to walk in, the room is so small that if you lie down on the corner of your queen bed you can touch the walls of the room from all 4 sides. I insisted a lot, I was quite furious and they upgraded us with no extra charge to a Junior Suite that was spacious and the main room was similar to the photos of Standard Double on the site. It had an extra lounge room. It was clean and bright with a view to the woods. Comfortable beds and fine linen. Still, don't believe the photos as far as the space is concerned. They say \"up to..\" but it's less sometimes.

Dirty shallow sea, we couldn't swim. The Pool is small and always full of children.
The hotel premices are not friendly for Disabled people, no Parking for the Disabled available (I personally checked for signs, found none) and you can go to the beach only from two stairs. Moving with a wheelchair is out of the question. This is something that I didn't expect from a Luxury Hotel. Luxury Hotels are supposed to promote spaces for all sorts of lifestyles and conditions.

Great hotel & facilities, but pricy

Double room in the «loft» are small and not good for much more than sleeping. Clean room, but ants here and there.
Facilities are great, food and drinks ok, a bit pretencious and definetely on the pricy side. Examples from restaurant at dinner are €4 for 1l water, €34 for a steak and €16 for a signature cocktail.

Heerlijke plek

Hele fijne, mooie plek. Wel afgelegen, dus veel meer dan zon, zee, zwembad en lekker eten vind je niet in de buurt. Watersporters kunnen hun hart hier ophalen. Veel jonge gezinnen (baby’, peuters) begrijpelijk gezien de fijne sfeer en het langzaamaflopende strand. Wel gehorig dus door alle kids op de gangen zit een gat in de dag slapen er niet in.

Mielenkiintoinen hotellikonsepti

Ihan mielenkiintoinen konsepti, jossa rakennukset ja luonto olivat harmoniassa ja hyvin hoidettuja. Ranta oli kiva auringonottoon ja ajanviettoon (ravintola, baari/kahvila, paljon istuinryhmiä ja aurinkotuoleja), mutta ranta oli matala ja siten paikka on enemmän lapsiperheille suuntautunut. Oletimme kuvien perusteella hotellin olevan enemmän Only Adults-tyyppinen.

Beautiful hotel and surroundings

We stayed for two nights, spend the days by the pool and had dinner at the restaurant one evening. Happy to find organic alternatives on the menu. The staff was very serviceminded and friendly. Didn't miss anything for breakfast. We went in september so it was not crowded. Our room was perfect, comfortable soft beds compared to the other hotels we stayed at.

mooi, maar druk en te duur

Ekies is op zich een prima vakantieresort, maar wij hadden toch andere verwachtingen van de plek dan de websites doen vermoeden. Het resort heeft veel kamers met vooral veel jonge gezinnetjes. Bij het ontbijt is het dan ook druk met veel kleine kinderen en baby's.

Een paar andere minpuntjes: ondanks de flinke prijs van de kamers kregen wij de indruk dat er nog steeds veel extra aan ons verdient moest worden. Bij het ontbijt komt een espresso je meteen op 3 euro extra te staan en een broodje bij je diner moet ook gewoon afgerekend worden. Daarnaast is het strandje bij het resort en de spa niet berekend op het aantal gasten van het resort. Op het strand zit je boven op elkaar en bij de spa moesten wij vijf dagen vooraf al een reservering maken voor een behandeling. Tot slot bleek tijdens ons verblijf het resort overspoelt door wespen. Ook niet echt fijn en volgens mij door een adequete bestrijding te voorkomen. Al met al dus te weinig kwaliteit voor de prijs die je betaalt voor deze plek.

De grote pluspunten zijn, in het geval je kinderen hebt, de kindvriendelijkheid van het resort. Het strand is perfect (rustig en ondiep water), de kamers zijn super stijlvol en schoon, de omgeving is prachtig met mooie strandjes. Ook kregen wij een gratis upgrade naar nog mooiere kamer. Ook het restaurant is prima.

Kortom: als geld geen rol speelt en je hebt kinderen dan is dit de plek! Als je voor een romantische rustige vakantie gaat is deze plek minder geschikt.

Stylisches Resort mit Kindergarten-Atmosphäre

Das Ekies ist eine sehr schöne Anlage, aber auch schon in die Jahre gekommen. Für ein Standard Zimmer überteuert da es nichts besonderes zu bieten hat. Kleines Zimmer, sehr kleines Bad, sehr kleiner Balkon ohne Aussicht, kein DVD-Player, 3 deutsche TV-Programme, sehr schlechtes Wifi und zwar durchgehend und überall auf dem Gelände. Frühstücksbüffet immer gleich und nichts besonderes, für Vegetarier/ Veganer keine Auswahl. Sojamilch nur auf Anfrage. Will man statt Filterkaffee einen Cappuccino muss man ihn teuer bezahlen...generell kostet alles ca.doppelt soviel wie in allen anderen sehr schönen Hotels in denen wir waren. Abendkarte fängt bei 18€ an. Der Strand ist schmal und nicht besonders schön auch wenn die Ausstattung sehr gut ist (Sonnenschirme/ Liegen). Was uns am meisten gestört hat, war die Tatsache, dass während unseres Aufenthaltes sehr viele Familien mit Babies und Kleinkindern vor Ort waren. Wir kamen uns vor wie im Kindergarten. Das Gebrülle war endlos von früh bis spät, nachts, morgens beim Frühstück, am Pool, am Strand..., so dass Entspannung schwerfiel. Aber für Familien mit Kindern ist das Ekies sehr zu empfehlen, man trifft Gleichgesinnte und die Angestellten scheinen alle sehr kinderlieb zu sein. Kommt also drauf an was man sucht. Fazit: man zahlt für die sehr schön gestaltete Anlage und für sehr viele Angestellte und professionellem Service.

Eine große Enttäuschung

Das genannte Hotel war im GEO Saison als \"All Senses Resort\" beschrieben. Bei der Ankunft bekamen wir ein anderes als das gebuchte Zimmer (Superior) als angebliches Upgrade zugewiesen. Das Zimmer war klein, hatte kein abgeschlossenes Bad (Toilette mit Glastür) und keine Ablagemöglichkeiten für Kleidung und Gepäck. Vom \"Mikrobalkon\" aus bot sich ein unverstellter Blick auf die Lüftungsanlage des Nachbarhauses. Entweder war das \"Upgrade\" eine Täuschung oder man mag sich lieber nicht vorstellen, wie das eigentlich gebuchte Zimmer ausgesehen hätte. Restaurant: tolle Lage mit schönem Blick über die Bucht, Essen in Ordnung, Servicepersonal ungeschult und unwillig (eiskalter Rotwein, Austausch erst auf mehrfache Bitte, ewiges Warten auf Hauptgericht) Am Abreisetag stimmte die Rechnung über Ausgaben an Restaurant und Bar nicht. Auf unsere kritische Meinungsäußerung bei der Kundenbefragung bei Abreise hat bisher (nach 3 Wochen) noch niemand geantwortet. Die Gegend ist eine neue Reise wert, aber sicher in einem anderen Hotel.
