Lovely hotel, great location

An out of season trip for whale watching. Early in the season so limited success there. Hotel was really clean and comfortable. The honeymoon sweet was lovely. Breakfast choice was nice and the distance from the centre was a 10min walk. The location is very good to the coastal walk.

We had a wonderful stay, was a long weekend away.
Hermanus Boutique Guest House has a great location, walking distance to many shops and restaurants.
great rooms too and friendly service. I I had to criticise I would say it can be a bit noisy in the morning when setting up breakfast if you have one of the inside rooms...
But really a nice place we loved it.

This small hotel was awesome. We were a group of seven people and booked 4 rooms. We stayed for one night only. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. We had great view of the ocean from our rooms. The breakfast was perfect and omelette was to die for. All in all I give this hotel a perfect 10

Wonderful stay!

The Hermanus Boutique was a wonderful find and a great place to spend our final few days in South Africa. The decor and design are very unique but very clean comfortable and welcoming.
We had booked a room close to the pool and spent the first night there, however as preferred a ground floor and sea view room, we were upgraded for our final two nights at no extra cost, which was hugely appreciated. The location is great for the coastal walk as well as being only a few minutes from the local centre for restaurants and shops.
The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast was superb.

My wife and I with our 16 year old son recently had a 4 day stay at the Hermanus Boutique Guest House . We are frequent visitors to Hermanus and we can honestly say this was probably our best stay. The staff were amazing and the family room which consisted of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was really spacious with balconies for each room as well.. The bedding and cleansiness was excellent. The breakfast was superb and we would highly recommend this guest house. Thanks to Annakie and Josh and all the other staff for the great service and we will definitely be back. They really go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable one.

The interior of this hotel is lovely. The rooms are comfortable and clean. But, there is a big difference in the room sizes. Our friends and I booked the same room for the same price at the same time but theirs was much larger and included a sitting area. There are a large and tasty hot breakfast included with the room. The hotel overlooks the ocean across the street and there is a nice path to walk along the water. The rooms, however, did not have a view.

Nice hotel in a great location

We were there for 2 nights and were very pleased with this hotel. The location is excellent : away from the main traffic and yet within easy walking distance from restaurants and whales viewing points. All staff members are welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious and well equiped, and just 5 steps away from the pool. The decor is decent and neutral, but not very unique or inspired. Breakfast is very good. Not the cheapest place to stay, but then it is Hermanus. Would definitely recommend it.

Very good boutique hotel, close to centre.

A good choice for Hermanus, just a little way from the centre, but easily walkable. Great views over the cliffs to the sea.

Absolutely excellent breakfasts, but no other food. Charming and very helpful staff.

Excellent room in garden block with no views, but a small pool which was little used. Secure on site allocated parking.

Rather disappointing

We reserved a sea facing luxury room. Unfortunately it was downstairs with a very restricted view. If one sat on the patio one was like a goldfish in a bowl with passers by gawking at one. Road noise was terrible and kept us awake. The coffee / tea making facility had no means of screening it off from the road and the kettle, cups and ingredients had to be moved into the room for privacy

Great stay on Cliff Walk

All was great about our stay including location, staff, room and breakfast, AND chocolates on pillow at night and an upgrade to an ocean view. Spotted whales from our terrace! In addition to the cliff walk (be sure to go to the left, too) and dinner at Origins and nearby Heritage, we enjoyed a beautiful hike at Fernkloof.

Stayed for two nights - very comfortable room with everything you could need. Unfortunately, on our second morning we woke to find our room had no electricity and no-one in reception was answering the phone.
Apart from that, we very much enjoyed our stay here.

First time in Hermanus

This place has a excellent breakfast !! The room was nice and the furnishings were great but I did not like the layout of the room. There is a outside and inside shower stall which I have never seen anywhere but the commode was off in a tiny closet in the main room.There was one chair to sit on and the TV and internet worked without a problem. If you are with a lady friend or want some cozy time this would be a great place--I would not recommend it for families. Note to drivers -you have to pull up in front and ring the bell as the doors are locked and the front entrance is gated. There is limited parking so get there early. You will have to drive into town for a selection of eateries but there is a bar close that has good food.

Stayed in the 3 bed self catering chalet at the rear, (only accomn available) which was well equipped but totally unexpected in terms of its decor and size. Everything was fine, but unexpecetd 4 poster beds, 1930's style decoration !

Excellent location for Addo Park.

Good option for large group if you rent the three rooms in the main house as the common areas are shared. If you have mobility challenges, ask for first level room. No TV in rooms and some might expect that. The host is fabulous and is very accommodating. Thanks for everything. This was so convenient for visiting Addo Elephant Park.

Only stayed over for one night but will definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Needs so much improvement but has potential

This is not a 100Euro a night hotel. For my stay and the room it was quite pricey and hence bringing forth certain expectations with the price. So, you don't really expect to find white florescent warehouse lighting next to your bedstand (night security guard did find new light bulbs) neither you want to have a fight with outlets so that you can charge your phone and other electronics. And one expects certain amenities to be readily available at this price range rather than to have to ask for them like slippers, like bathropes in a room that has a jacuzzi (although pumps were not working) and more than one small bottle of a shower gell for two people (luckily we had ours) or may a gesture so me bath salts if you have a room with a jacuzzi and may be a scale. and provided that this is a vacation town, may be prioritizing your guests and not your \"conditions\" and offer a breakfast later than 10 and something that one can really call a breakfast buffet at a nice, luxurious boutique hotel, not a breakfast buffet of a roadside motel; and perhaps a check out time later than 11:00!!
I mean I would stay there again.. Only would hope that they do not cut corners as such and actually try to make you feel good that you have chosen this hotel.
