This was our first time so a lot of things we didn’t know. Parking is not included so you can either valet or self park. And they will do a hold on your credit card for $300 but we got ours back pretty quickly. The amenities are wonderful, our room was very spacious and we really enjoyed the pool! The staff was amazing and our check in was seem less! Definitely recommend and will return!

The resort itself gets five stars. The staff unfortunately only get two stars. Our room wasn’t ready until 5 o’clock because they didn’t have any clean ones available. We tried to eat at the Landshark Bar and Grill. The restaurant had about six tables already seated, and there was one group ahead of us waiting to be seated. The two hostesses looks so confused and took about 15 minutes to seat the other couple and ourselves, we were seated about 10 minutes and no one came over to let us know they’d be right with us or even acknowledge us so we left the resort and went out to dinner nearby. We finally get back to the resort around 8 PM and have two hours to enjoy the pool before it closes at 10.No staff offered us a drink poolside. We were ready to spend money but no one offered to take an order. I will say that the room was very spacious and clean with a great view.

We travel a lot and always take time to give great reviews - this is my first terrible/okay review. When you 1st drive up, valet didn't help with bags or seem to know how their own systems work, just waits for keys. Room was clean. Then you go to water park - super overcrowded (selling unlimited day passes to none guests), 3 bartenders for swim up and walk up bars, only pool for over 18 and full of kids, swim up bar was in under aged pool area (makes no sense). Tried to rent cabana and no one at stand could figure out how - finally told me yo look it up on website and see if we could figure ut out. Lazy river so narrow can barely get floats down, people kept getting stuck and backed up. After long day, tried to get dinner and 1st restaurant said they closed at 9, but one located across the resort was still open (walked my sister who has lung cancer & had chemo 2 days before) ' got there and was told they closed in 20 mins so kitchen wasn't serving anymore, but other restaurant was still open (one that sent us to that one). Had to walk her back again and order Doordash. Next morning trying to leave - only 2 out of 5 elevators were working - waited over 30 mins - had to finally go from 7th floor up to get to lobby. Honestly, was so excited to go and would NEVER waste my money there again. I get busy and holiday weekend issues. But this was more like Motel 6 with water park attached and overpriced spa. Save the money.

The young lady at checkin was very nice and welcoming along with taking the time to explain things to me that I knew to ask about. Although some things I didn’t know to ask about we had to find and learn on our own by exploring. The young men working in valet were very kind and helpful even though we didn’t use the valet service. Behind the scenes workers like the maids were very kind when talked to. The woman in the gift shop was very kind and helpful although I saw that the gift shop had more Margaritaville merchandise and little travel essentials that may be needed from guest. Having an arcade on the second floor was extremely smart since weather is unpredictable so if you have kids or for adults still able to have fun while waiting for bad weather to pass. Although I would suggest having an attendant periodically come through because not everyone treats these machines in a kindly manner or making sure parents aren’t just dropping their children off. We ate at two of the restaurants on location and snack/coffee shop, the Landshark bar and grill some of the hostesses stand around doing nothing instead of being more productive with their time, quality of the food was not so great for the price. Although if you sit at the bar late in the evening, was excellent service and very kind. Then the License to chill restaurants food was horrible and service was iffy until your noticed. Joe’s coffee shop was excellent and very kind.

Great getaway! Highly recommend the resort. The pools are great for children and lots of activities. Restaurant manager and server at the License to Chill Bar and Cafe were friendly, attentive and provide excellent service. The food was delicious! Only complaint is the front desk. Staff were not friendly and helpful. They were unwilling to help link my reservation through Expedia with my Margaritaville membership, which cost me additional money since I lost all perks such as Valet parking being included. Otherwise, it is worth overlooking the front desk staff.

I want to be nice, but I must be honest. My daughter and myself did a last minute trip. Decided on here, arrived to valet was 35 a night or just to park is 10 a night. Also if you are driving an EV vehicle don't ezpect there to be chargers available to you, you have to pay for valet where they are located only. Strange that went occupying a cottage on the lake you have a designated spot that coincides with the cottage number, but its not included and the 45 dollar a night resort fees are not included with the cottage as well. The cottage had a smell, the furniture was stained and the ceiling fans had to be cleaned from accumulated dust. You are greated by huge mosquitoes I had to go buy spray and pine cleaner to make them go away. The bathroom was clean the beds were comfy. So thumbs up for those two things. I frequent certain resorts so these out of pockets fees when checking out where a surprise, the manager was nice enough to waive one fee. But the cost just was too much to not have certain fees included when booking.

This was a nice anniversary getaway. Check in was quick and easy. Be informed of the parking fees both self and valet. As well as $100 hold on your card for each night you stay. The hotel was very clean. We had a Resort View room. Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the balcony it was not clean, covered in dirt spiders, spider webs, and other bugs. There is a Walmart and Dollar Tree less than a mile away among other stores, restaurants, and places to dine.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to give Margaritaville Lake Resort a 5-star review due to the poor treatment I received from their assistant manager Amanda after my stay was complete. She lacks the ability to resolve issues and effectively communicate with customers. My credit card was over charged $265 which she initially stated the funds would be released. The refund was never initiated from their end and once this was brought to her attention, she would no longer speak with me. I'm a part of a leadership staff as well and one rule we definitely abide by is owning customers issues start to finish. Amanda did not and in my opinion can use some additional training classes on customer service. This property is a gem, and I planned on returning prior to this incident however that has changed since I was handled with such disregard by Amanda.

I was checked in before my arrival. Odd when i recieved that notification. The slides were closed in the pool area. Definitely check the weather before booking. The water was cold in pool. The lazy river water looked dirty. Our stay was horrible in the sense the beds sqeak. The walls are super thin and a party was being had at 11pm, 12pm, and people walking the hallways at all hours up until 1am yelling and partying while we tried to sleep. Everything could be heard through our balcony as a group was at the fire pit and playing games well late into the night.

It’s okay however it’s smaller than what I thought. You are mainly paying for the view which is nice. Ended up paying $70 to park the car overnight. Wanted to get on the boat but he said it had to be a minimum of 10 people and it was just us to so we couldn’t do that. The slide on the water park wasn’t available either. I loved breakfast! It was really good!

went with my family of three, and it was such a nice escape from city life. There was plenty to do, and we really enjoyed ourselves. I only wish the weather had stayed nice the whole time, but we were still able to enjoy the water park on the first day of spring break. For the rest of the trip, we relaxed in our room and ordered food. It was 50 degrees one day so we explored Houston Galleria and the food was fantastic.

Staff is horrible out of sync. Maybe they were not ready for springbreak week, but nobody seems to be interested in their jobs. Cleaning staff was great, and poor girls at Joe Merchants were trying to keep head above water level. Everything and everyone deserves 0 for not giving a crap. Including the Land Shark restaurant. Cant managers come and help out? They have weir heirarchy where servers only serves. Food was bismal, but luckily uber eats serves well and cheaply. I'd say resort itself is a solid 4, amenitieities 0-1 stars. Elevetaor is a joke. Never experienced anything like that in my life. I sound like a whining baby, but go stay there few days, and you really wonder why you didnt go to Cancun

This is a great property for those who love fishing or swimming in the communal pool. While the accommodations are modern, they are pricey, and almost everything on-site comes with an additional charge. The food menu feels like a mix of expensive fast food and standard restaurant fare, though the drink assortment is excellent for those who enjoy cocktails. We also took a two-hour boat tour for $140 (two adults); however, the boat was outdated and only served crackers, water, and lemonade. There were no activities included—just cruising past waterfront homes. Overall, this property feels overpriced.

We stayed here for a dance competition weekend and it was amazing! The staff was very nice and we were able to find something to eat all day long, and door dash had no issues finding us. The room was beautiful and spacious, very clean and soo fresh for after being in the sun all day. We did not get to enjoy the pools but the looked beautifull! Land shark had amazing lunch and license to chill had amazing breakfast!!!! We hope to go back soon.

My wife and I have fun wherever we go, but don’t plan to stay here again unless the prices drop lower; terrible elevator service. Boat usage only available with license or if you’re born by 09.1993. The pool they say is heated certainly didn’t feel like it. None of the pool bars were open. Staff seemed pulled to a 4 day wedding taking place on site that disrupted EVERYTHING.

I was injured and needed to be dropped off at the front and was told we’d need to park in self parking & call for a golf cart because the front was closed for the wedding party.

Everything was horribly loud and definitely NOT a chill Margaritaville experience we were looking forward to.

Do NOT stay here.
