Lovely hotel restaurant food was Excellant for dinner and breakfast.Reasonaly priced.The bed was really comfortable but the room could do with a bit of TLC.Satff friendly and very helpful.

Been staying here on and off since the place opened and definitely seen a decline . It's a great location for family and friends when they visit you also like the restaurant but the rooms need some TLC

We had an excellent experience staying here for four nights.
Food was very nice.
Rooms were very clean and comfortable and cleaned and refurbished every day and towels changed as well.
Bar and Restaurant were lovely and a good outside space, not a garden but quite sufficient to sit and relax.
Plenty of parking and 'free' ...many hotels now charge to park.
Staff were so welcoming and very friendly....everyone of them. Kieran checked continually to make sure we were happy and well looked after and even caught up with us in the restaurant as he was leaving for home to say he wouldn't be in the following day and thankyou for choosing the Village Hotel and wished us a safe journey home the following day.
My husband unfortunately slipped in the bath whilst having a shower and banged/split his head and was unable to get out and two members of staff without hesitation came up to help him out and were so attentive and caring, fetching bottles of water etc and checking his injurys.
We were able to keep our room later on the day of departure as we had a late flight.
I would like to mention other than Kieran the three members of staff who really and so eillingly helped on the day of the accident and went way beyond the call of duty and we're so kind and caring and that is Aidee, Stella and Lindsey and to be fair all the staff were lovely.
We would always choose to stay again.
Thankyou for making our stay in Beautiful Dublin so enjoyable.

I will never stay here again. Loud music for the restaurant below heard in the room all evening and people leaving the hotel at 3am saying bye Ciara as if it was 3pm and nobody was asleep. Lamp in room smash up and left in the corner still wired to the wall. I could go on but enough said. We booked to ensure my daughter had a fresh start at a competition the next day, we were both wrecked as never slept. When I told the gentleman on reception he said he would have banged on the door had I complained. I said you would have been banging in the door of the hotel itself as it was not any of the guests.

Fantastic location, plenty of parking and the bed was comfy. Outside of that, the customer service wasn't great and the room was kind of gross - stains on the bedding and curtains, random screws in the shower, furniture held together with tape, and tea/coffee spilled on the walls

Hotel has the ability to be much better but staff fell short of the mark on several occasions. Dining room/bar manager did nothing to control patrons who were clearly regulars and intoxicated. Loud and obnoxious outside at closing time, etc. building and room was fine but windows did not open and room was to warm and stuffy.

This is a charming hotel with a nice restaurant. Parking is convenient, bed was comfortable. We had a big problem with noise. Our neighbor was talking loudly with guests and laughing until about 3 AM and we could hear it very well to the point it was difficult to sleep. I asked the front desk person to look into this about 1:30 and he told me that he called the room but neither of us in the room heard the phone ring and nothing changed. I talked to the desk person again about an hour later and shortly after that the noise settled - close to 3 AM. In the morning you could easily hear people in the corridor - it didn't help that our room were close to the elevator. I would advise that you ask for a room away from the elevator, and hope that you have quiet neighbors. On my way to the front desk I met another guest who was also going to speak with the front desk about noise coming from people talking on patio in front of the hotel at about 1:30 AM. Also if your room is on the first floor, you can hear the thump thump of the bass from the live music in the restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays, but that finished at 11:30 so wasn't a huge bother.

Lovely short stay

Very friendly staff. Room very clean, with iron, ironing board, hairdryer, kettle & tea/coffee/milk packs. Bed and bedding very comfortable.

Bath was shower only, ad the taps had been removed. Not sure why, but shower was very nice, powerful, easy to adjust, plenty of hot water.

Disappointing stay, check in process was difficult due to staff member being a night porter untrained in computer system, he was friendly but utterly incapable due to lack of training. Bed was missing bottomed sheet and shower in bathroom did not work only bath. When I checked out at 08:00 next morning the same night porter was on duty and said no receptionist or management was available, again he was cordial but seems unfair to leave him in charge when he is untrained 27 hours later still waiting on a call from management to discuss a query I have over double payment.

What a beautiful hotel. Our room was just beautiful. Overall the hotel was very clean and modern. We stayed and got the bus right outside the hotel to go into Dublin for the Gareth Brooks concert. Very well priced if wanting to enjoy Dublin without having to pay the high rates of Dublin city. Also walked down to the beach the next morning. Plenty of cafes along the way. Would definitely return with the kids next time as only 20mins away from Funtasia.

It a lovely place wth good food and friendly staff. A good enough walk to beach, and a lot of house surtounding. .However it didnt bother us, Grania behind recetion is a beautiful lady , goes aboe and beyond. Our experiemce was great and we got beautiful weather. Will def return

Car parking onsite right beside the hotel.
Was a function going on that night. Minimal sound from it in the room. Noisey when they finished and gathered outside.
I was put in a accessible room which wasn't ideal for me. Very low mirrors and shower wet room. No shower curtain.
Room itself was nice and comfortable.
Breakfast only started at 8 which was no good for me leaving early for business.

We had an overnight stay in this hotel recently, as a stopover on our way to Dublin from Donegal. It was really lovely. Staff are delightful. Room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was great. Well done & thanks!

Had a lovely stay at Village Hotel. We stayed in the suite which is stunning!! Recommend booking this room if you can.
Hotel is just lacking communication between staff. We had a few issues.
Food was nice, we did wait over an hour for our dinner to arrive.
I would visit again

Village Hotel review

My husband & I really enjoyed out trip away to Village hotel. It's a fab location with the beach on your doorstep. We eat in the first night and had breakfast both days , which we really enjoyed. Service was good and the staff were very friendly. Everything was clean. The only downside I would say is the carpets are a bit 'jaded' & in need of an upgrade. Otherwise everything else was spotless.

I did stay at the Village Hotel but they did not have a record of my booking - I didn't get the room I wanted but the staff were very accommodating and friendly and gave me a basis double room. I can not praise the hotel high enough, they were brilliant. I was a bit disappointed not to get the Garden Suite that I booked.

Clean and comfortable but lacking in character...

I was so happy when we found this hotel...it seemed like such an awesome place in a little seaside town within easy driving distance to Dublin Airport. However, when we arrived we were disappointed to see it was a brand new build in the centre of a housing development. The room was comfortable, although our window opened onto a flat roof with garbage on it. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom modern and all was clean. We ate in the restaurant which was very busy, noisy and slow, but it was a Saturday night and they had an event on in an adjoining room. The food was quite good both for dinner and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and comfortable. If I had realized what and where the hotel was it would have been fine, I had just formed an image of it in a small village on the sea, so was disappointed in the more 'chain' feel of it.
